Adjust for purchase power and games should be $10
They think wrong.
>their first $70 video game
I guess this means Monster Hunter 6 (or whatever it'll be called) is going to be 70 bucks as well.
Without a doubt yes. Especially if they don't make it on Switch like World
of course. and few weeks later when everyone with their pants on fire have bought it it will be on sale like every game
>Just because there’s a recession doesn’t mean you won’t go to the movie theater or go to your favorite artist’s concert. High-quality games will continue to sell
I hate that he's right. consooooomers will be buying games even when they're almost homeless
$70 + $600 of clothing dlc
Videogames are pretty much the only thing I buy in terms outside of essentials like utility bills and groceries.
I almost never eat out. I only eat out when close friends are celebrating their birthdays or if I'm meeting up with relatives.
I only watch like 1-2 movies in the cinema per year. Last film I saw in theaters this year was John Wick 4.
I don't spend money on travel and tourism. I refuse to go to concerts since the artists I do love (like Mastodon) tend to be terrible at live performances.
So yeah, just videogames. They make up my primary non-essential expenditures. So I don't mind paying 70, especially since I only buy like a handful of AAA games per year, with the rest being indie titles. And since I'm not gonna wait a few weeks to play MH6, I'm gonna pay that 70 dollars.
I've never paid $70 for a video game, and I'm not going to.
dragon's smegma tards will eat and say thank you. these subhumans have no standards. reminder the original dragon's smegma shipped with on disc locked dlc that you pad to pay to use. fun fact: old Ganker hated crapcom
Isn't the final price up to the reseller?
Top price is fixed. Discount limits are negotiated.
Worthless company that has only ever made shit. People should be compensated for playing their degenerate shit.
I'm not spending 100 leafbucks on a video game. End of discussion.
dont worry, when GTA VI releases and is inevitably more than $70 people will still slurp it up cause its gta, rockstar will set a new standard for AAA game prices and every other company will follow their footsteps cause, again, everyone is a moronic consoomer
key sites here i come
frick capcom
Right... ok... cool....
Oh wait....

Doesn't affect me in the slightest since I don't play any game day 1.
if the game is good, I don't mind paying extra
Poorgay problems
crapcum also considered every lost sale = $60 they lost
so they can eat shit
it would be too low if they didn't rape you with mtx, season passes and battle passes
I haven't pirated a game since I got a job 14 years ago but I guess it's time to start again with Dragon's Dogma 2.
not like there was anything worth to buy anyway in the last 20 years
it has Denuvo
I'm going to piraat so hard bros, just you wait
>Increase the development cost of games for no reason
>Still make just a regular game that isn't groundbreaking or some shit like showing a new engine
>Also DLC and shit on release
>lmao $60 is too low
Sucks to be them I always get my release keys on fanatical
20% off first day
Games also used to come feature-complere. The real cost for most of these games is more like 120+ due to DLC bullshit
Games were $60-70 20+ years ago, so yeah they're relatively cheap. $70 is less than a workday for me, and I have a shit job.
im not okay with devs raising game prices but i dont typically buy games on release day anyway. and capcom has been very cool about discounts. if youre patient enough you can catch dd2 for half off eventually
