Literally good for the soul when in times of crisis.
bump
FF6 that low is utter horseshit
9.5
Calling it a 10/10 feels wrong when Aria VASTLY improved over it.
Aria is extremely overrated, I replayed it not long ago, and I seriously don't remember it being so ridiculously short, but it is.
>I seriously don't remember it being so ridiculously short
That is literally part of why it's so great
Unlike ShitN it has no filler and doesn't waste your fricking time
It also has NG+ which adds exclusive items so you are literally encouraged to replay it
On top of this the RNG soul drops means every playthrough turns out a bit different, giving it godlike replay value
Nah, it is overrated, short and honestly kinda ugly.
You're short and ugly
Just like ur dick.
got em
>and honestly kinda ugly
It's a masterpiece considering it's a GBA game.
short isnt a negative
Super Castlevania IV is better because it is short simple sweet and straight to the point. the Inverse part was dull as frick with the same music and anti climatic experience. Meh. 2d side scroller>metroidvania. Im a working man I dont have time that shit
>all those 10s and 9s
LMAO delusional beyond belief
aria of sorrow is peak igavania
I also did the ALttP and Super Metroid polls and they were also nothing but 10's and 9.5's. NO game is prefect.
>NO game is prefect.
So you haven't played Nioh 2, I see.
I don't play souls slop
9.5. I love it, it's my favorite castlevania, but it's not perfect. There's plenty wrong with it, but it doesn't ruin the experience. Personally though, I'd never give out a ten, since there *isn't* a perfect game.
reverse castle has to at least shrink it down a point. you literally play the 2nd half of the game in reverse its lazy af
I am 37 and I played this game for the first time last year. I was really into it, obviously it shows its age. However, I was able to finish it and had very little complaints about it. I rate it a solid 7/10 and that was in 2022. Its excellent when you consider how old it is.
It's a true 7/10. It's a great game, but it's just not the greatest game of all time that fans would have you believe. It's just 2D Dyansty Warriors to me, albeit a very good one.
being too easy is the only flaw it has
Try the hardtype patch, it guarantees that you will look at the death screen at least once.
i played this game for the first time the other day and i realized that it sucks penis
can anyone else relate?
The game sits in this really weird place. It's essentially a piece of art both aesthetically and musically, and is also quite enjoyable to play. It's not crazy for people to praise it, it really does deserve it.
On the flip side, one of the most important aspects of 2D games with an exploration focus is mobility, and Alucard's simply isn't there. His movement animations are smooth as butter, but the movement itself is slow and, dare I say, clunky. The mostly useless transformations break up the pace when you need them too. When you factor that in, virtually every following Metroidvania styled game is better than SotN. I myself, like many here, see Aria of Sorrow as the peak, and with that I agree, since it was the best compromise of both looking and feeling great. Also Harmony of Despair is pure kino.
I'd frick Alucard, no homo.
