i just want a new game. the writer wants a new game. the composer wants a new game. ellen mclain wants a new game. every fricking person on earth just wants a new game. nope. le geico ad, le rtx, le dota 2, le frick you. either do something or do nothing at all. why put so much effort into nothing ?
if it was just that, sure. why make a geico ad with an edited version of a portal 2 test map ? why make switch ports out of nowhere ? why make le rtx remaster (this one is probably just to show off the technology, i'll give you that), why add a new in-game technology in the tech demo, why do all this shit if they're just not going to do anything with the series ?
i'm just autistically rambling about all this cause i want a new game since a lot of people over at valve seem to want to and have ideas (especially the writer) while having shown that they're still very good at what they do with even a 30 minute tech demo. i just miss this series and i had given up all hope, but everything randomly happening is fricking with me, especially after they already brought back half-life. i feel like i'm being toyed with and it's not that fun.
yeah definitely, but back then it was nothing but rare vr tech demos mostly made by third-parties when the technology was somewhat new, which didn't leave me to go full schizo like all that's happening is doing

i don't want to believe, but i've been thinking of neon prime ever since the trademark. it's probably the new game by the dota guy, i've heard a lot of people talk about this, so that's my cope for now
Even if he's back as a VA for valve its not necessarily for a new Portal game. Valve loves reusing the same old VAs for some reason, I think almost all TF2 and HL2 voice actors were featured in Dota 2

he also did voicework just this year for the Steam Deck demo game so it's probably just the one session

never played the game but wouldn't surprise me, GLaDOS' voice actress is in basically every valve franchise at this point, same goes with a bunch of others. not a problem though considering they're all great voice actors and work well with their roles

They probably just had him pop in for a few lines when they were doing that Aperture Desk Job demo.
