Emulation is great, but let's not pretend it's perfect. It's far from it. Plenty of games can't be emulated, or are emulated in such a poor quality that you're generally better off getting the original hardware and disc (most original xbox games). And a fair amount of those that can be emulated, can't be emulated perfectly.
It is great as a method of preserving old games though.
