The angle I'm working with at the moment is Kanako is being kept alone in the True Lab in a room close to the foyer, near the bedroom. The lingering effects of the integrity soul serum make her unreasonable and quick to anger with other monsters. The other Amalgamates simply don't go near her because they don't like her (for as much as they can 'like' anything), and Alphys just tries to feed her as fast as possible and leave when she comes down

Since Clover would've been living with Martlet in Snowdin, that's probably where he'd meet and team up with Frisk. However, the sight of 2 humans in the Underground at once would cause the Royal Guard to go to DEFCON 1, triggering Hard Mode.
In combat, the Yellow Soul orbits the Red like a shmup satellite powerup but you still manually control the firing to intercept enemy projectiles. Photoshop Flowey would be 1 soul weaker and seeing Flowey take the human souls unlocks Clover's Justice Blaster for the fight.
Alternatively, if Frisk starts killing monsters, Clover will leave the party, recognizing Frisk's DT trumps his own (for now) but also warns that other things can increase LV and that he will find him again. Then by the time Frisk reaches LV 19, so too has Clover.
Final boss battle vs the protagonist of the previous game ensues.

My original thought when I played through undertale after release was that all of the humans steadily fell down during a 100 something year period. It's heavily implied that nobody was alive except gerson when asriel/chara were a thing and he is ancient. I'm pretty sure you're even given a cop-out that the game takes place in 201X (believable because the release was 2015) but then you're told that's actually when CHARA fell and it's actually like 100 years later. However I also thought the yellow soul was somebody that fell down in the 1800s too.

Despite the fact that I dislike how Ceroba is kinda shoehorned into Star's moment of glory she really is a true friend, sticking with him till the end.
Ideally you should have encountered Ceroba first and she says something like "Star is still evacuating the others! I wont let you get to them!" and the genocide Ceroba fight happens. After you beat her you frick off, not even bothering to watch her die when she demands "look at me you damn coward". After you leave a cutscene happens were Star finds Ceroba at a near death state and they have an emotional moment thats the opposite of what happened in the regular Genocide and its Ceroba telling Star to go deliver justice before she dies. Star becomes really pissed.
After that game progresses as normal, you blast Axis and fight Martlet Azul. After you kill Flowey John Lenon style you head off to Asgore, but there Star is in Sans place at the Judgement Hall. He gives some speech about what true Justice is before he talks about how he's going to kill you with no mercy.

Im pretty sure its implied the whole royal guard is looking for you, but since your off the beaten path only Martlet can catch up to you since she can fly. Everything else is just gameplay stuff, since it would be kinda ass to have like 6 royal guard fights that only appear in Justice, or you still getting the geno equivalent ending without actually killing everyone.
I feel like Starlo would best suit a farmer that evolves over the story into something more. I think Martlet is more suited for the officer role.
Maybe the Feisty Five are his roleplaying group where they play tabletop games Usually Wild West themed Otherwise they're city workers.

My main goal with that would be to build an extremely strong relationship with that character, and have an ending where you die and they’re forced to grieve and move on without you, once again like EoS. An actual relationship would be cute, but I also just want it to be a really good friendship. And i’d have to consider the sex of the characters, if you get to choose, if I really want to deal with either writing out gay shit or dealing with backlash for not being inclusive, so on.
But like I said, just a very vague and long-term project idea of mine. I’ll work towards improving that vision when i get more smaller gamedev/artwork done. Sorry for rambling, thanks for asking.

i really hope so, any actual UTY discussion in /utg/ is probably impossible. It'll probably get immediately derailed by someone who wants to frick the goats, because he didn't see gay goat content in 3 minutes.
And I mean, we could try to hold on on /trash/ until deltarune releases the next chapters, that way when content boom hits we can be prepared to ride it.

clove is a darkner shaped like a clover and is supposed to be a stand in for ralsei
personally I'd fuse axis and clove together and have an axis like robot with a clover head now if you want it to have the dead soul of kanako's potential sibling or not is up to you

I'd rather go fully original with a Deltarune Yellow world since we don't have every piece of the Deltarune puzzle yet (and by then we'd all be skeletons). Seems like a headache looking for a suitable alternative for characters that dont have the full story
because we want more interaction between kanako and clover, and makin her a Lightner allow those to happen in and out of the darkworld.

welp i tried lol. not super satisfied with this, i could probably make it better if i reworked it and had a better idea of what i was trying to do. drawing something sorta non-corporeal like this is kind of hard though and probably requires more thinking outside the box.
the slug trail did work better. created this creepy thing where her flesh starts to meld together, then it gradually decays off of her body, then evaporates into dust which is recycled by her soul.

I'm actually really interested in the idea of a far-future sequel fangame that takes place 7 humans later after one of the neutral ending branches.
It'd have similar stakes to Undertale in that they almost have 7 souls again, but they'd be brand new ones and all of the (non-immortal) cast is gone with an entire new one in its place. Maybe some descendants of Undertale's cast could be major characters, maybe Jerry would still be pissing everyone off via his same-named descendant that GOD knows how he even bred to create.
It'd be neat rewriting the whole Underground for all the technological advancements that would happen over the span of 6 more humans falling.
And yes this does mean Sans Undertale would be fricking dead.

The angle I'm working with at the moment is Kanako is being kept alone in the True Lab in a room close to the foyer, near the bedroom. The lingering effects of the integrity soul serum make her unreasonable and quick to anger with other monsters. The other Amalgamates simply don't go near her because they don't like her (for as much as they can 'like' anything), and Alphys just tries to feed her as fast as possible and leave when she comes down

How turbo fricked would Flowey be if Frisk and Clover met when the former fell into the Underground
Since Clover would've been living with Martlet in Snowdin, that's probably where he'd meet and team up with Frisk. However, the sight of 2 humans in the Underground at once would cause the Royal Guard to go to DEFCON 1, triggering Hard Mode.
In combat, the Yellow Soul orbits the Red like a shmup satellite powerup but you still manually control the firing to intercept enemy projectiles. Photoshop Flowey would be 1 soul weaker and seeing Flowey take the human souls unlocks Clover's Justice Blaster for the fight.
Alternatively, if Frisk starts killing monsters, Clover will leave the party, recognizing Frisk's DT trumps his own (for now) but also warns that other things can increase LV and that he will find him again. Then by the time Frisk reaches LV 19, so too has Clover.
Final boss battle vs the protagonist of the previous game ensues.
You reckon that it'd be just the overall lack of justice (murdering everyone) that gets Clover going or would it be a specific kill?

My original thought when I played through undertale after release was that all of the humans steadily fell down during a 100 something year period. It's heavily implied that nobody was alive except gerson when asriel/chara were a thing and he is ancient. I'm pretty sure you're even given a cop-out that the game takes place in 201X (believable because the release was 2015) but then you're told that's actually when CHARA fell and it's actually like 100 years later. However I also thought the yellow soul was somebody that fell down in the 1800s too.
I used to assume the yellow soul was someone who fell down in the 40s or 50s, since westerns were popular among kids back then. I tend to ignore the '201X being when Chara fell' thing.

If we're going with Human + Monster equals Magician or Boss Monster, then you could have it where Chujin was a product of rape. A human man raped his mother and he carries a lot of self-hatred due to that, as well as hating humans.
Would add extra drama to the Kanako and Cole situation.

Despite the fact that I dislike how Ceroba is kinda shoehorned into Star's moment of glory she really is a true friend, sticking with him till the end.
Ideally you should have encountered Ceroba first and she says something like "Star is still evacuating the others! I wont let you get to them!" and the genocide Ceroba fight happens. After you beat her you frick off, not even bothering to watch her die when she demands "look at me you damn coward". After you leave a cutscene happens were Star finds Ceroba at a near death state and they have an emotional moment thats the opposite of what happened in the regular Genocide and its Ceroba telling Star to go deliver justice before she dies. Star becomes really pissed.
After that game progresses as normal, you blast Axis and fight Martlet Azul. After you kill Flowey John Lenon style you head off to Asgore, but there Star is in Sans place at the Judgement Hall. He gives some speech about what true Justice is before he talks about how he's going to kill you with no mercy.

For real. Imagine Ceroba after the events of OG Undertale. The Barrier is broken and the humans are surprisingly chill and nice to monsters. They dont have any grudges cause the war millenia ago and kinda a myth, modern humans didnt even think monsters were real.
She'd realise that her husband worked himself to death for a cause that would give monsterkind a fighting chance against a supposedly warlike humanity that was ready to attack the monsters the moment the barrier broke. She accidentally killed her daughter for the sake of some supposed mega race war agaisnt the "evil" humans. She almost killed an innocent human child that view her as a mother-like figure. All of it was for absolutely nothing.

The mistake you're making is that Chara is speaking to YOU the player and not Frisk the Human in what would be the plausible playthrough that you had done after playing genocide.

My main goal with that would be to build an extremely strong relationship with that character, and have an ending where you die and they’re forced to grieve and move on without you, once again like EoS. An actual relationship would be cute, but I also just want it to be a really good friendship. And i’d have to consider the sex of the characters, if you get to choose, if I really want to deal with either writing out gay shit or dealing with backlash for not being inclusive, so on.
But like I said, just a very vague and long-term project idea of mine. I’ll work towards improving that vision when i get more smaller gamedev/artwork done. Sorry for rambling, thanks for asking.

I think the expression looks like she's in a bit too much pain. I was envisioning it more somewhere between what seems to be the default Amalgamate state of 'too detached from reality to actually notice they're in agony' and 'bitter and pissed off, but still hanging on and keeping a lid on it' (her own soul + the DT vaxx combating the blue soul contamination).

Honestly I think those parts are perfectly fine with regards to deformity. I think though it would look creepier if she still had some lower body to speak of, like those snake or snail monster girls do. Like she's walking around on a tail instead of on legs.

I'm actually really interested in the idea of a far-future sequel fangame that takes place 7 humans later after one of the neutral ending branches.
It'd have similar stakes to Undertale in that they almost have 7 souls again, but they'd be brand new ones and all of the (non-immortal) cast is gone with an entire new one in its place. Maybe some descendants of Undertale's cast could be major characters, maybe Jerry would still be pissing everyone off via his same-named descendant that GOD knows how he even bred to create.
It'd be neat rewriting the whole Underground for all the technological advancements that would happen over the span of 6 more humans falling.
And yes this does mean Sans Undertale would be fricking dead.
