Later we find out that he's not even a real Warchief. He only has 2 Clans that follow him. Frostwolf Clan, who were always autistic outsiders and the Warsong Clan. But as soon as he lands in Kalimdor he abandons the Clan System and mixes everyone together. Everyone is a cosmopolitan Orcmutt. There are no Orc Clan Leaders. The Developers of Guardians of Azeroth had to invent the leader for the Warsong Clan in Kalimdor.

Doomhammer was just the last warchief of the horde, who went into hiding after they lost the war. He sought out thrall after word spread of him leading revolts. Thrall is the last legitimate heir of the last chieftain. Thrall never tried to lead the frostwolf clan, instead he just reformed the horde. There's like 3 different hordes in the game. One led by Blackhand's son in blackrock mountain who is allied with nefarian, and one led by Kargath Bladefist in Outland in service to illidan.

You can grab a version of 1.31.1 from Hive and when it asks for you to use either a CD-key or connect to the battle.net launcher, you pick CD-key.

Archmage has lots of utility straight up in any matchup, whether it be 1v1, team games, or FFA. Water Elemental is useful in any situation and helps early creeping - which lets you snowball faster. Brilliance Aura always means you can summon an elemental on demand, improves any casters you bring along, and allows your future heroes/allied heroes to use abilities more frequently. Blizzard disrupts formations at the very least, and at best lets you kill off some squishy backline units or workers. Mass Teleport gives you unparalleled mobility. The other human heroes aren't quite as much force multipliers with additional experience.

Raiders were my favorite unit in WC1, was stoked to see them return in 3 but then saw their damage. I hear they're used nowadays in some builds though so that's cool.

I have found decent success with various tavern heroes either going heavy creeping to lvl3 or even lv5 or opening slightly delayed fast expand. sending 5 to gold mine then one to wood then barracks then farms then altar as a basic start. usually 4 or 5 footies, 3 are too few and 6 are too many I find unless you lost a few

I'm back from vacation. I use 1.30.1 simply because that's the last game version before Reforgization or adding new items and stuff so the maps work with older versions of the game. This game version also has proper widescreen support.
I cope with Vanilla WoW private servers and pretend it's an RPG custom game. Closest to WC3 even with some shit lore choices like NE and UD joining humans and orcs.

Thrall is the last legitimate heir of the last chieftain. Thrall never tried to lead the frostwolf clan, instead he just reformed the horde. There's like 3 different hordes in the game. One led by Blackhand's son in blackrock mountain who is allied with nefarian, and one led by Kargath Bladefist in Outland in service to illidan.

Archmage has lots of utility straight up in any matchup, whether it be 1v1, team games, or FFA. Water Elemental is useful in any situation and helps early creeping - which lets you snowball faster. Brilliance Aura always means you can summon an elemental on demand, improves any casters you bring along, and allows your future heroes/allied heroes to use abilities more frequently. Blizzard disrupts formations at the very least, and at best lets you kill off some squishy backline units or workers. Mass Teleport gives you unparalleled mobility. The other human heroes aren't quite as much force multipliers with additional experience.

Raiders were my favorite unit in WC1, was stoked to see them return in 3 but then saw their damage. I hear they're used nowadays in some builds though so that's cool.
Their damage? It's the same as the troll berserker's and it's siege damage type so it rapes things like priests etc that can't outrun them.
Also their snare is very useful in a lot of match-ups and in general.

now, to be a bit more focused, has anyone being using footmen with tavern hero as a human opening? I have found decent success with various tavern heroes either going heavy creeping to lvl3 or even lv5 or opening slightly delayed fast expand. sending 5 to gold mine then one to wood then barracks then farms then altar as a basic start. usually 4 or 5 footies, 3 are too few and 6 are too many I find unless you lost a few

I'm back from vacation. I use 1.30.1 simply because that's the last game version before Reforgization or adding new items and stuff so the maps work with older versions of the game. This game version also has proper widescreen support.
