Literal boringfest after beating the story, i sure do like using the same move 40 times just for a small amount of progress on the Pokedex

You know if you don't like a game you don't have to play it, right? Surely you're not that fricking moronic, right?

Better than mashing through boring shitty cutscene stories and baby mode fights like in Pokemon XY

That was BW though. XY actually didn't have AS many cutscenes interrupting you.

Did you even play XY? Because that game not only has poorly made cutscenes up the ass, it also holds your hand like a motherfricker, you moron.

I really liked you had to do stuff with the pokemon to complete the dex entry. It actually felt like researching pokemon.

I know the teams between PLA and SV were separate, so I hope it gets picked up as a continuing feature in future games.

    >Ditched Abilities (they came back in gen 9)
    >Ditched IVs (they came back in gen 9)
    >Added Strong Style and Agile Style (removed in gen 9)
    >Added some new Apricorn balls (Feather, Gigaton, Jet, Leaden, Origin, Wing) (all removed in gen 9)
    >Changed the battle mechanics from turn-based to turn priority (reverted in gen 9)
    >Added Go's capture mechanics (removed in gen 9)
    >Added human vs Pokemon battles (removed in gen 9)
You have a weird definition of "forever", OP.

Let's not forget that it sold worse than BDSP. I guarantee there won't be more Legends games

        >Let's not forget that it sold worse than BDSP
I didn't include that because sales don't matter when talking about how a series is "changed" by an entry. If gen 9 kept even half of those mechanics then yes, PLA would have changed Pokemon.

Is that really a feat when every other mainline game was sold as a pair? If you too ok the other version away they would probably do the same number or more

Hasn't BDSP barely sold recently? Like, the sales data hasn't been updated since December 2022 (alongside Let's Go, a game that had been out for 4 years at that point), while Legends had been updated as recently as this March. It also only sold less than 0.2 million less than BDSP, which honestly that could account for the insane people that buy both versions. There won't be any more Legends games, just like there won't be any more Let's Go games, because their next engine test will be whatever they think it is. Hell, it's arguable the negative reception of BDSP will change how they do remakes, or the negative reception to SV at launch will change how they launch Pokemon games (oh look, they had to make a fricking statement about exactly that recently).

          >Hell, it's arguable the negative reception of BDSP will change how they do remakes
They've never once given a shit about the "negative reaction" to their games, because the silent majority of people and kids will give them at least 15M sales rising to over 20 for new Gen paired games.
So what if a few thousand internet drones dun liek it, all they'd be would be a couple million vs anything up to and over a billion. Understand the magnitudes of the figures we're talking about here? 1000 times greater weight and magnitude than the people who cry and want change.

I wish it fricking did. Throwing balls and not having to battle was kino. So was hearing and seeing shiny... uhh... shines from a distance. They didn't even include the ancient pokeballs even though it was on the blackboard.

I feel like Kitakami could have been another area of Legends. Honestly I hope Pokemon copies PLA's level design even more so in the future games. Smaller maps with more attention to detail to make them more unique from one another but now adding a town or two to serve as a "hub".

LGPE, BDSP and PLA all sold around 15 million units. Some people here need to stop claiming that any of them did poorly. PLA is more impressive for not having a redundant second version, and also for not getting its own holiday season. BDSP got that boost instead.

Also, Let's Go as a concept wasn't so much dropped as overhauled. For Sinnoh, the remakes were separated from the "catch Pokemon in new ways" angle, and the catching in PLA was more thought out than in LGPE. A relatively unpopulated region is ideal for the latter style, so Game Freak will probably cover at least one more old region set in the 19th century. It should be the region that introduced Apricorns and actually has lore that dates back to that era.
