because your mother is a prostitute that fricked a dragon or something. notice how shit everything not based on tolkien in d&d really is? Expect for maybe barbarian since it’s based on conan
Charisma literally means "divine power" in ancient greek. It should actually be the default casting stat for every divine powered class, even the idea of charisma in the sense of leadership relates to the concept of divine right to lead others, so it's exceptionally fitting for the likes of paladins.
Less so for bards and sorcs, although most settings tend to push quasi divine origins on the powers of both classes, whether it's the song of creation or the extreme power of whatever mythical creature your grandpappy fricked.
>kharismata >xarismata
prophetic ecstasy, endowments of grace, spiritual gifts.
"Divine" in the sense of coming from god or the heavens is not true. Since gifts can come from other sources. Like during a christening.
It should be understood as a counting of properties. A name, for starters. Then any special abilities.
Aurora in Sleeping Beauty was given her name, by her parents. Beauty and a Singing Voice by the 2 good fairies.
A geass, or fate, by Maleficent, with a modifier by the 3rd fairy.
Perhaps if her Charisma was less than 2, she'd only have a name a beauty. Perhaps if it were higher, she could have the capacity for even more endowments.
Perhaps, endowments themselves have an equipment cost. Like, if we cut off your balls, we can make you sing.
Can't believe there are still morons out there who engage in RPGs and its equivalency who still think Charisma means "just fricking things" and are still confused as to why some classes utilize the stat for their spells.
Charisma literally means manifestation of will. It's the reason why Bards, Sorcerers and Warlocks use Charisma because they are not utilizing their powers through means of practice, understanding, or intellect/ritualism, it comes from an inner belief/will/manifestation that exudes into power form coming out of you. It's the same reason why Persuasion uses Charisma because you are trying to impart your will unto someone else with your ability to deceive and being wienery enough to believe that you will be able to enforce that will.
If you guys could allocate your own SPECIAL stats with 40 points to spare in real life a la Fallout. How would you do it? Pumping up the INT/CHA/LCK combo to max or near max would be the obvious choice for me. I don't think you much more than average or slightly below average PER/STR/AGI/END in this day and age. Maybe good endurance for longevity
Hey now, you'll get price discounts too!
>Charisma let's you frick!
What game?
Fallout 2
life
What about KOTOR? I believe your charisma modifier gets added to your allies to hit stat.
false, they directly increase my spell DCs
better than
>charisma makes your magic stronger because...?
because your mother is a prostitute that fricked a dragon or something. notice how shit everything not based on tolkien in d&d really is? Expect for maybe barbarian since it’s based on conan
Because your ability to negotiate with the demon that grants you your powers.
does the ability to teach begin or end with someone's ability to learn?
because "force of personality" or some gay shit
You mean pity?
>no stat except wisdom serve any purpose at all
>Strength and Charisma are the same stat
>caring about what stats do rather than how they describe your character
lol
>spellcasting is powered by Charisma
What the frick
It makes sense if you are persuading a powerful beeing to make miracles happen
any rpgs that explicitly frame it like that? sounds really interesting.

Get out of my hobby nerd posers.
I think you literally don't know what a "will" is.
Beside the fact you're imposing your own word choice as if it were your expression to dictate.
>Charsima-let trying to teach others about Charisma
