DC was my 1st console launch. Saved my whole summer paper route money for it. Had some good games but ultimately was disappointed.
Bought the G-Cube w/birthday money. Got Melee and THPS3. Was totally blown away. Later played Twin Snakes, RE1,0,4. Pikmin 1 and 2. Great little console.
PS2 was mid teens, so I was feeling the urge to try new things. FFX, MGS2, GTA, Ico, SotC, Silent Hill 2/3. Went back and played all the FF games because of X. Still my favorite console.
Didn't rly care about Xbox until a friend invited me over to play this new religious game he just bout, assumed it was about angels or some shit. We spent all night playing Halo and I went home and begged my Dad to get me an Xbox for Xmas w/a new copy of Halo 2. Best Xmas ever and best gen.
Switched to PC after buying only a 360 next gen.

Exactly the way I bought them originally over time, and it was the correct choice since I'd just use my friends Gamecube to play smash if I wanted.
Xbox for better looking multiplats and online that worked.

Gamecube is the only bad console here.
GameCube still had some stuff that was good. Sometimes the GameCube version was the better one.
