I really don't get what the plans for that game are. The author said on the forums that the demo is like 70% of the game. But he also said they're not sure it's getting a sequel. So what the frick is happening? How does 30% of the game take an entire year to do? There's absolutely no way that all the shit regarding Thaumaturge, the Omega Responders and Dozer can be wrapped up in such a short amount of time. Characters from the main art like the sword girl still haven't showed up, and the metal girl only just showed up.
Their problem was getting published by CoG. A REAL game stays in production for years and gets turned down by the Californians.

Anyway I saw last thread had a full dump about skills and char gen and I wanted to see what the thought would be for a skill system that works like this: Instead of choosing your stats you have to choose 3-4 'Fragments' of Souls that are more like full party members with personalities, goals, relationships with you and the other Fragments you chose, etc. and they determine your skills. The lore reason is long and autistic but basically your player character is an artificial abomination with only like 40% of one soul, and the rest is filled with your Fragments. It's a bit like DE's Skills although instead of it being 'lol schizo funny' there's an actual reason your skills are talking to you and narrating.

Alright so it seems the bad ends are the ones where you die/get killed. I'm not entirely sure on the dark ends. I assume they're the ones where you go insane but given that the perfect world stat is almost always tied to DarkEnd choices, the fact that perfect world is a bad end throws me off. I assume Bad End 6 is getting killed by the Nymphs like Asteria, 7 is either failing to stop Frostbite from tearing down the veil/helping them do it yourself. 8 is probably going insane and trying to create the perfect world or maybe getting killed for trying? No idea for 9 - 12. 14 is probably sacrificing yourself to repair the veil? Absolutely no clue about the Dark Ends and what it could mean that they share names with some of the Bad Ends.
For the Dark Ends, Dark points are associated with ROs, so I think those are the ROs turning evil/getting corrupted/being broken by your terrible decisions and ascending into X position, such as Katia or Sera becoming the High Priestess, Astrid or Altair becoming the Cambion Secretary etc.
This is what happens when the author is determined to write in crapsack endings and drama bait.

I completely agree, the styles and elements are just about my limit, the weapons push it overboard but still worth it for those kino moments. That's why this update took so long as I tried to figure out how the hell to make Techniques work too without killing myself. In the end I went for (a surprisingly varied amount of) passive effects, some when they're "equipped" and some always on so long as you've learned the technique. I made some arrays and subclasses to handle it and created about 135 techniques I'll pepper through the game, ESPECIALLY at the Trials markets and trainers. Only a few show up for now so my fraudulent genius will go unappreciated.
Don't worry, we'll all appreciate the effort you've put in it when our character uses an ancient technique to blast "Glorious Domination" while also using their fire abilities to set off fireworks all around them at the entrance to the trials.

I was so confused by that questline too. The Tieflings don't live there, why do they have patrolling guards and b***h about the druids who saved them but expected them to move on? Next playthrough I'm going to find a way to help her purge them. The only tiefling worth a damn is the bard but instead of being your concubine she's a lesbian and taken. Same thing with the priestess in the act 2 tavern when you run into the tieflings again, another perfect waifu that's lesbian and taken. I think these Tieflings are putting something in the water supply.

I think the problem with curses in general is that they are filler words. It's not even a curse these days, a good insult has to be creative.
For example

First one is a general expiative and calling you weak. Nonspecific, uncreative, everyone is able to already pull "frick" out at a moments notice.
The second one does not have an expiative, but I believe is a better insult regardless. Even if you don't know what a mudcrab is, you can tell by the context that mudcrabs are generally seen as weak when the second part kicks in with the "more fearsome then you". It's the type of insult that forces you to pay attention to the entire thing and sticks in your head. It's also more unique then the first one, which allows it to stand out from the many other insults you have heard in your life. Try to think of a specific person you can attribute to first. Chances are many have said frick you before, but try to imagine a specific person saying the second one. Chances are that field of potential people is much much smaller then a simple frick you.

My original intent is actually the combination of two approaches, you get bonuses depending on the body shape you choose, but even if you're a lanky twink you will develop muscle definition if your stats get high enough. It makes sense narratively, but it will kinda frick with people who actually want to play lanky twinks no matter the stats.

On the contrary, you have to do a bunch of specific shit to GET kidnapped. It's why most players don't get that ending, and many of them just get it on subsequent playthroughs, once they learn offgame that it exists.

The only way to get that ending is to either surrender to the members of the Triple Chalice at the Lords Summit or get captured while completing the "Kingslayer" achievement.
I neither surrendered nor i got captured, i managed to win the battle during the rebel route. But i still got captured, regardless of the choice. I even checked by picking wildly different stuff i didn't in the previous routes.

One of the beta versions of the game had that as the main ending, which a lot of people didn't like. It was changed during development, and the released version doesn't have that ending as one of the most recurrent ones. It's why the majority of players don't get it. The game wouldn't have as many good reviews as it does if everybody had the same experience as you did.

Hawkins' demeanor varying so much with Diplomat / Warrior MC was pretty damn good. With high Warrior it really feels like just beat communication of two autists only interested in combat and each other, with high Diplomat it's so fun watching him seethe at your ideals. Shame other LIs didn't feel nearly as reactive in comparison - Asadi and his reaction to MC stays largely the same and is dictated by approval, same goes for Weaver and Watanabe. They have personality checks for romance, sure, but they don't seem to affect them as much.
iirc I think my character was high diplomat and passionate, being concerned about all the lives hawkins would sacrifice just so the war could keep going so he could get his fight fix. Ended up leaving hawkins drifting in the void because hawkins didn't want to be friends

Personally I don't really think you *need* to go in depth with dicks and all that, even if you are describing bre ast sizes because simply put: breasts are part of the figure and outer appearance of a person, regardless of being a sex organ or not. So in my WIP the player is gonna start around age 16-17 as a squire. I'm thinking about how long I want this period to be, ideally I want to use it to set up some character dynamics (friends, rivals, goals, ect) and have some varation at the end of the period that affects the rest of the story. Maybe 2 or 3 chapters?
I'd say take as long as you need, those prologue-growing up parts are my favorite, usually. A lot of stories just throw you into the story and forcefeed you an action scene after another instead of making time to immerse you.

Her father is somewhat old and is oblivous to how he's the somewhat of the laughing stock of the order, but if he's oblivous she's downright disillusioned with the idea of being a popular esteemed noble and not just the spoiled daughter of an old knight.

I think of cultivation as requiring constant maintenance and exercise or you'd lose ~75% of your gains. It's like how we can all be ripped super-programmers but we all prefer to relax after wageslaving to keep a house, hence being here. Most of us don't work out constantly afterwards and research the benefits of each diet type and track our fat/carb/protein macros, especially since our job doesn't require being fit.
