god I miss original LF1 lobbies. KF2 is alright I guess. I feel like it doesn't have enough welding. Also everything just felt meatier. Hard to explain it.
Both games felt very satisfying but for different reasons. I loved just how grimy KF1 felt, and it only added to the gore effects. KF2 while a lot cleaner just had more satisfying gunplay, especially with guns like the M99 when you pop off a zed-time.
KF2's issue is shit like vent spawns. Literally just perma flank spawns that make stable holds impossible outside of very specific spots on very specific maps that pubtards on average refuse to play cause "le heckin chaos and getting my ass and ankles chewed on from behind non-stop is more fun"

KF2 spawns and enrage mechanics killed the vibe in general. Guaranteed damage from elite crawlers, enemies literally spawning in mid air behind you once you swung your vision away, those patches with Scrake auto-enrages, changes to community maps in order to make them much more claustrophobic, MTX before leaving early access, NO MARTIAL ARTIST, NO SWAT SHIELD (AND NO THE DLC WITH DAMAGE REDUCTION WHILE AIMING DOWNSIGHTS BUT NO ACTUAL BLOCK MECHANICS DOESN'T COUNT)
I loved playing gunslinger because the gunplay was satisfying, but that was pretty much the only thing going for KF2. The problem all comes down to it being a PS4 game too, because this fricking stupid spawning system is all to keep pressure on players high while keeping the number of enemies low. If KF3 is KF2 but with KF1 spawns and Martial Artist/fixed SWAT, I'm gonna love it. But I'm not holding my breath after the disaster that was KF2's EA.
