Ideally Koei and Capcom bury the hatchet and we get oracle and minish cap characters. Realistically some more characters from the games they can work with while reworking the ones already in.

They are two parts of the same character. Cia is just Lana's lust for Link and together they are the guardian of time. Which is how they came to know of him to begin with.
No family needed because their position could see them inserted anywhere at any time.
You are wrong too, when Dorf corrupted Cia he "expelled the light out of her" and this light was all the positive aspects of her personality, Cia was only left with the negative aspects of her personality amplified by Dorf while her positive aspects somehow took form and became Lana. Well, remember how KH nobodies actually can grown a new heart and "nurture" it with experiences? Maybe the same applied to Cia and her "positive aspects" started to grown anew even with Lana returning to her.

I've never specifically compared but of the humanoid characters, the only ones that I can think of that appear to be taller are the adult males.
