That Yoshi's Island is the crown israeliteel of this lot. The best I got is a Gamecube with no cables on the side of the road, and a Nintendo 64 at Goodwill for like 15 bucks.
It was EVO with the instruction booklet, but yeah number 2 for sure. I'm amazed how much the price for it is considering they made millions.
Hold on, is that SimCity sealed?
Naw just the plastic still on it.
Did you miss Mario RPG just above it?
It only matters to collectors and youtubers.
People who play games just get a cart
I wouldn’t call myself a collector but I like having the boxes, especially for Japanese games because they look really cool and the manuals have obscure artwork in them.
I play games instead of letting boxes collect dust on a shelf
Why not both?
Loose carts for gens 3 and 4 don't bother me, but I wouldn't be caught dead with a "disc only" for consoles that take discs.
Why not both?
>Get gifted Yoshi Island as a kid
>Trade it on gamestop with other games for Pokemon Colosseum
>Regret it years later
>Actually find it almost brand new at those "Local" game stores just 1 year before covid for $20 or $40 I don't remember
>Ex girlfriend wanted to keep it after break up and gives me shit ever since
I deserve it.
>Clean bookshelfs
>Find a sealed copy of Mario Party 2 at the top of it
>Probably a forgotten christmas gift
>20 years of dust over the plastic
Am I rich? Or should I open it and crack open a cold one with the boys and play?
Fricking keep it that shits worth. My party 2 got stolen I don't know by who but this super upsets me since it was not a few years ago.
Worth at least $400. Keep it, anon.
record yourself opening it to make collectards seethe and have some fun playing it
>download rom
>download manual and box art
to keep this flimsy shit pristine for 30+ years requires severe autism, and i refuse to financially support that.
I want to play Yoshi's Island again
What's stopping you?
I need an HDMI converter for my SNES
MISTer?
pretty sure there are even cheaper options now
>MISTer
The hell is that?
as long as it works and isnt smothered in cum and shit its ok with me.
Collecting was fun before ~2016 when youtubers showing off their collections started popping out and moronic sheeple just bought whatever they talked about, it has been absolute cancer for a couple years now with morons thinking they're "investors"
>morons thinking they're "investors"
god its so pathetic the mentality of: "if i don't want it later, i'll just sell it for more!"
so many people with closets full of "It's worth a lot if I sell it!" and only a fraction who actually sell things and not their parents cleaning house.
Buying?
Gay
"""Minimalists""" are cancer.
>complete in box
If the box is just shitty cardboard designed to be thrown away I don't really care. I want the cartridge and the manual. If it's a mid-00s or later game with an actual case I do care about that. I won't buy loose carts or discs or cases in wretched condition. israeliteel cases are different because those are easily replaced as long as the inserts aren't destroyed.
I don't care when it's cartridges, but I need a case for discs and a shitty one that didn't come with the game is disappointing. If it's missing things like a manual then it usually doesn't bother me.
It isnt usually a biggie unless its a cool box or nes old.
Though i wish i could get the box and manual for clayfighter sculptor's cut.
i don't need other people's ownership experiences, if it was not mine from all those years ago then i will have no newfound attachment to it if were to buy it
I got a similar collection back in 2006 for $70, all lose carts though. They still work fine without the boxes
Not.
