So I did a thing. I enjoy AGOT for CK2, but all the submods are a mess.
So I merged them myself. It's far from finished (some provinces miss history for specific dates, etc), but it's a start and perfectly playable as opposed to using all these mods separated. The mods in question will be in the next post.

Works with the latest CK2 patch, based on the latest versions of each submod.

Add the wastelands from Improved Borders
damn you really went all out anon. does better faces take the place of something like Better Looking Garbs?
Probably, I'm pretty sure they replace the .gfx file per cultural gfx. There's a AGOT-compatible version but God knows if that's up to date.
It can be merged, but it'd take a while and be done per-culture
>I've been working in a mod to add more depth to dragons
May I suggest you build it upon Dragon Laws?
>Playthrough in the Vale
Sistermen, aim for independence from or domination of the Vale, and rule as foreign monarchs from the islands.
According to lore, the Vale has the purest Andal blood, so you could decide to enforce lebensraum on Essos and reconquer Andalos then Myr and Pentos, or perhaps manifest destiny below the Neck and conquer up to the Stone Dornish.
Mountain Clansmen, ethnically cleanse the Andal Valemen and establish a second First Man kingship next to the North.
I'll take them into consideration. If anyone has suggestions I'll write them down too.
Damn anon, that's pretty cool. I was thinking about doing another playthrough and this looks pretty nice.
If I can ask one thing though, do you think you could incorporate this mod? Or at least the main portion of it which adds a Valyrian hybrid group for basically every culture group. Later on he started adding some religious stuff but if it's to be incorporated in a mega mod that probably wouldn't be necessary.
Seriously though, this looks amazing anon. Great work.
https://agotcitadel.boards.net/thread/4119/agot-mixed-ethniticies-mod-2021?page=1
It was on the list, g. I have to merge in the Faces Modification first, possibly Better Garbs too, for this. Sadly the forum thread for the Faces Modification seems to imply it's broken to hell and back.
Probably leave out the religions at first, and rebalance some of those choices (just being able to convert without penalty/requirements is a bit OP.
This? https://agotcitadel.boards.net/thread/2490/improved-genetics-agot
Possibly. If it's compatible with Congenital Overhaul, it probably should be. AGOT has a strong seed mechanic that -should- make it so that the majority of your children are of the dynastic ethnicity.
I mean the intent was just to have a valyrian merged religion for major religions, right? It's a neat idea but not really my main interest and can easily be brushed off by just using the valyrian religion and the merged culture.
>AGOT has a strong seed mechanic that -should- make it so that the majority of your children are of the dynastic ethnicity.
I don't know, I remember I spent like 4 generations playing as the Starks but all my characters looked like Tyrell because I married my son with a Tyrell. It took some marriages with north houses to get northmen characters again
Similar thing have happened to me multiple times.
Anyway, thanks
The Tyrell's also have a dynastic ethnicity. It's tied to a bloodline so you want to avoid incorporating several into your line, because then any of them can show up at random because you have all the bloodlines
It's a tiered thing I think with an order of preference, Baratheons at the top of course so to enhance your dynasty and pure femboi T*rgaryen taint just inseminate some Durrandons.
Yeah but the bloodlines say how strong it is so it isn't like you can be surprised
Would this be compatible with the improved genetics mod? Can't remember the name exactly, but basically helps you to have a main genetic group so you don't end with something like playing Targaryen but all of them look like northmen.
Based.
Do you think you could add this to it?
https://agotcitadel.boards.net/thread/1647/sub-heavens-cartographic-tweak-agot
I forgot to add it to the list, but it's already in.
Yep, that's why I'm looking at the Faces Improvement to replace it.
One of my favourite campaigns is Driftmark post-Robert's rebellion.
Place Viserys married to a Velaryon daughter on the throne, marry Daenerys to your son. If Aegon invades, depending on the time either support him or denounce him as a fake.
>forgot to add it to the list, but it's already in.
Right on. Definitely going to keep my eye on this. I look forward to the updates.
Also, thanks for not changing the font.
No problem, I thought it was disgusting so I didn't use it.
That's why I made it for personal use, but I thought more people would appreciate it.
>Though for me it looks like the only submod in the bundle that is currently working is the mapmod, and I'm not sure why that would be the case.
Can you show me what's wrong? It's all emrged into one big file so there's no picking and choosing. Impossible not to work, unless you.have extra submods enabled.
>Can you show me what's wrong?
Well at first I was picking out little things until I noticed that it didn't even have the bloodlines from MB.
Maybe I don't have the mod working at all and I just think the map looks different because I wasn't running HDR before.
I already deleted the entire mod folder, reinstalled AGoT 2.2, and only have the merger running alongside it.
Ah, I might have needed to be more clear. MERGED-AGOT is base AGOT plus all the submod merged in. You're basically running the same mod twice.
Yeah right as you posted this I realized you had a manual and I saw that. My mistake.
Oh so you don't run base agot AND merged agot or just merged apot?
merged agot is the only mod you run
very nice, definitely post once you’ve got the other faces working, I think I’ll wait for that
Thanks again for endeavoring to combine all these mods, as someone who always came back to play AGoT every once in a while I think it's great and really appreciate it.
Though for me it looks like the only submod in the bundle that is currently working is the mapmod, and I'm not sure why that would be the case.
>More Bloodlines
Like what?
Not him, but I'm pretty sure it adds bloodlines for every notable house with famous members, from Hightowers to Butterwells; and multiple bloodlines for major houses, so for example Starks have blood of the Bran the Builder, Cregan Stark and Ned in their veins. Original mod should be one use of the search engine away, so look it up.
More bloodlines is a submod. Originally it was just about adding more bloodlines to minor houses but it has expanded to the point that people have been using it as a way to update AGoT since the main mod team migrated over to CK3. At this point it changes a ton of stuff including making some areas of the map more detailed with more provinces.
I'm unfamiliar with the Isle of Faces submod so this is probably a problem with the core submod, but is there any chance you could fix it so the Children of the Forest are actually female? I had hoped to take some as salt wives for fun when I noticed they are all Male (Female)
Isle of Faces only sets the Isle of Faces as a CoF province. Sadly, it's impossible to have a female-only culture. The game engine itself does not support unisex/genderless cultures, and the base GoT mod doesn't have male CotF graphics for some reason..
I understand, that's too bad. And since they can't breed normally there is no chance of random females showing up then unless they invite a debutante. Same problem with the White Walkers except they have a female model that just never appears outside of the historical characters since they only end up with males.
Couldn't you set it so the Isle of Faces operates under an enatic succession law so only females can inherit, and just set up the history so that the ruler of the island is always a female? Even if you have to deal with male Children showing up in courts, it should at least be possible to make it so that the title itself is always female-held.
I'm not the dev but Inheritance wouldn't really help since they have like +100000 health, unless you actually genocided them making it relevant over time.
But yeah manually just making them female should be a simple though somewhat tedious, solution. Having to modify the history across every single bookmark.
At least their names are already unisex so the gender tag is all that would have to be changed.
Good idea, I set the law as such. The ruler is automatically generated at game start so I'll test if that'll work, or if I need to manually create a character for it.
Will check it out.
>I assume the other one is where reformation is possible
Correct, I didn't add a differing icon yet.
>Also the Thenn holding is uncapitalized.
Fixed.
>Correct, I didn't add a differing icon yet.
Well you shouldn't need one, right? It should replace the unreformable variant.
I'm not sure what the Codd submod is supposed to do, but their province doesn't have a holding. They can still raise troops and ships for some reason, but the ships are unable to sail out of the province to sea.
I checked and consoling myself some money to build a castle holding DOES NOT fix the issue either.
Sharing two merges I did myself, feel free to merge into yours if you want

Really hate how it isn't even against the Paradox rules to merge submods like this but it's against Steam rules
There's like modpack things in steam tho subscribe to multiple things
Those are just collections, usually. Zero guarantee it actually works.
Have you tried reading?
>which submod
Vanilla
>pls fix
Bookmark? It looks like it's not Dragonstone, according to the name? What's the title?
Vanilla has dragonstone as a kingdom under the iron throne here's it's not du jure and it's an empire tier title that people like Stannis form "blackwater"
>Vanilla has dragonstone as a kingdom under the iron throne
No way, really? I'm asking for a specific bookmark/year you started in because it changes occasionally in the history, and that the title's name is not "Dragonstone" in the screenshot.
>here's it's not du jure and it's an empire tier title that people like Stannis form "blackwater"
Learn English, dear God. That's a kingdom-level shield, not a empire-level one. Turn on charinfo, hover over the flag in the character screen, give me the ACTUAL title, so k_whatever.
It might be that another kingdom-tier title is too easy to form, or maybe Dragonstone just broke off the Iron Throne.
Isn't that because they're in rebellion or something? AGOT has a "mega-war" system where a kingdom will become empire for hte duration of the war
The MB mod makes a de jure "Dragonstone" Kingdom that uses the "Royal Style" (Prince title) so you can give it to your heir like the Targs did. I'm assuming "Kingdom of the Blackwater" is becoming independent as said Kingdom and then using the intrigue decision to upgrade your Kingdom title to Empire title, which every other "Kingdom" tier title de jure under the Iron Throne can do i.e. Kingdom of the Westerlands (Kingdom) -> Kingdom of The Rock (Empire).
It's a little difficult to tell what he's talking about though because the guy with broken English won't illustrate anything with screenshots
Why are you being such a homosexual to this random anon? The guy is just asking for something to get fixed. And its not vanilla that has dragonstone as a kingdom tier title, its the more bloodlines submod.
>And its not vanilla that has dragonstone as a kingdom tier title, its the more bloodlines submod.
< Vanilla AGOT.
>Why are you being such a homosexual to this random anon? The guy is just asking for something to get fixed.
That's the problem, asking for "something" to get fixed, instead of actually telling me what happened.
Was this at a specific year or bookmark start? Was this during gameplay or on game start? I also gave the solution already: In the history files, k_dragonstone's de jure liege occasionally changes so that it doesn't have an actual empire-level at times (it changes to k_crownlands at one point, then changes to e_iron_throne), like k_braavos. If they actually broke off, they possible have e_iron_throne removed as their de jure liege.
I did change e_blackwater's title requirements, because Stannis was continuously forming it in the AFFC bookmark.
Maybe I'm just having a bad night, so sorry, I apologize.
>Syntaxis
Dootsech eest sooch an beeootifool lenguege.
As for recommending random mods, might I suggest this one?
Though it isn't really necessary as it doesn't conflict with your mod at all and I can just run it separately. I feel like it's necessary for bloodlines alone though.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=789707841&searchtext=a+bigger+interface
I think lax enforcement has led to a few being included on steam again, but yes they're prohibited.
Nice job anon, finally a good reason to play this again.
good shit anon, I would like to throw in some other mods but I'm not sure if you'd be up to including some of the things they add so I recommend you to check them first
https://agotcitadel.boards.net/thread/4304/agot-homes-houses-1
>revamps the political borders of Westeros, so that barony-level and even unlanded canon Houses can have their own county you can play from in, without having to take away another canon House's rightful seat in order to play as them, as well as making every border look nicer. (It also adds a few OC Houses so that some areas may be filled in.)
https://agotcitadel.boards.net/thread/4323/agot-cripples-broken-1-2
>add new bloodlines, coats of arms and new cadet dynasties and a whole lot of other shit
also I've read the thread so you'll probably change frankish andals to better faces, I've actually edited a couple of files so some cultures have different haircuts to the default ones and I've even made portraits for some characters that didnt have any and edited for others, but I'm not sure how to send them to you
does it still crash every hour?
Neither the original mod or the combined mod does this.
How do I merge mods like this?
Sorry lads, was busy. Will try to get it out tomorrow.
Simply put, it's merging text files in WinMerge. If two mods change the same file, the second mod will overwrite the first.
So it'll be a comparison between the two, and make sure the resulting file has both changes in it.
will you add the other mods I suggested or is it too much bloat?
If you're
, I won't just yet because they're still semi-currently being updated.
I didn't see this before.
Yeah. Not in my next release.
alright then, what about the portraits thingy?
NEW RELEASE WOOOOOOOOOOO
https://mega.nz/folder/5t41kIgJ#HzMxXcl25DgQpSR1hwHo5Q
it's been a few busy days so iirc I only integrated Faces Modification, overwriting Better Faces (for the most part). You don't need to activate MERGED AGOT - FACES MODIFICATION, but it's there because the history files it included are in a WAY different format than the one in "vanilla" AGOT, so I might have missed things that I didn't merge yet. Use at your own risk.
NatSoc Avril Lavigne unrelated.
I actually replaced Better Faces in this release with Faces Improvement, because it's pure sex imo. But you could share it through mega or something.
I didn't really want to support two face mods tbh.
>I actually replaced Better Faces in this release with Faces Improvement, because it's pure sex imo. But you could share it through mega or something.
>I didn't really want to support two face mods tbh.
sorry I'm fricking moronic, I actually meant faces mod/improvement, I use that portrait mod too
anyways I can send you my portrait edits, some things I've done were
>made the stone dornish share the same hair as the andals
>made the salt dornish have new hair
>made the free folk/wildlings have the same portraits as the first men/northmen
>gave new hairs to the valyrians
I have also made some changes to some character portraits, and also added or removed some traits of them to balance the game, but I dont know if you'd like to have those since they might be bad
https://www.mediafire.com/file/djqhzn6lxpetm7j/AGOTFACESMODEDITS.zip/file
damn anon, what's your history as a modder if I might ask
none at all, I was just fricking around with the files trying to change the moronic hair the dornish have and make the free folk look like the northmen because I thought it was stupid that they dont look the same
Thanks holmes, I'll see if I can incorporate them.
Of course, the More Ethnicities used Faces Improvement by default.
I'll take a look.
I don't have anything set up atm except for the Mega. I'm not sure if Github would be autist-reporting-stolen-mods-proof.
>Of course, the More Ethnicities used Faces Improvement by default.
Ah my mistake, I thought More Ethnicities used the other one
>I actually replaced Better Faces in this release with Faces Improvement
Is that still compatible with More Ethnicities and the new Valyrian sub-races/cultures?
Thanks man, this is breathing new life into AGoT
My favorite thing about the GoT mod is the out-of-nowhere game crashing bug that appears randomly every now and then when the game clock ticks over to Jan 1. The only way to continue to play is to get out a text editor and manually edit the game date of your save file. Everyone knows this bug exists and has never done anything about it. Such fun.
oh god, i know what you're talking about
Only happens if you play on any start before 8300, I think. Don't quote me on thsi. I have never come across this bug when I play on ACOK and AFFC
I don't think it's come up as a huge issue because of how rarely people play for the 150+ years that it requires to get it to pop up
I find reloading to a save a year prior helps.
That's a good idea. I ended up editing saves for 50 years like a dumbass because I read it eventually goes away, but then I just got bored.
>So I did a thing
good for you sweetie
Very based anon I will download and enjoy it and maybe suggest other submods cause I have a few collected throughout the years
Shut up troony
You're welcome, anons. I'll take a look at all submods you'd want, but FYI I'm not doing separate versions. I simply don't have the time for it.
Although I'm debating if the Colonizable Valyria should or shouldn't be; in ~~lore~~ it's basically a wasteland, but gameplay-wise I do like the idea.
>Now I just need to force-merge it with dark world and I'm good to go
IIRC, DW doesn't overwrite anything so it should be theoretically compatible.
What was the biggest hurdle with updating the mods? Isnt it just a case of taking old files and copy pasting the shit into the existing files
Thanks anon. My mod folder is busted atm and I can't deal with all these must-have submods.
>essos
>winter
eh?
Compilation sounds cool
My friend, long have I dithered over doing something like this for myself and long have I procrastinated.
Thank you.
One suggestion from me would to be see if anything from the Dragon of the East mod is salvageable, it's fricking ancient but mostly self contained so might still be fixable since it's just imperial government and retinues really.
Now I just need to force-merge it with dark world and I'm good to go
is dark world just tentacles and beastiality and all that weird shit wheres the appeal
It's not just coom, there's other stuff too, like rape.
But yeah it's mostly just cooom, all avoidable though so it fits in the core gameplay loop fine if you don't go overboard with it and even makes more sense than vanilla in some aspects IMO but not to everyone's taste.
There's prisoner rape AGOT, funnily enough. Also forced marriages.
De Jure empires, I just took a screenshot from Google. Guess it's an old version.
>Isnt it just a case of taking old files and copy pasting the shit into the existing files
>I thought of doing something like that with the Elder Scrolls mod.
It's quite time-consuming. What I did was grab the base game, copy it over to a new folder (Merged AGOT), throw over the three mods I know build on each other (More Bloodlines > Congenital Overhaul > Better Faces) so the "base" was ready. I copied that as a backup to a separate folder, and extracted all the mods into their own folder.
Then I got to work with WinMerge.
Biggest issue was that most mods that replace and fix stuff overwrite each other and usually aren't build to the proper version of the latest mod, for example Improved Borders was build on 1.9, which was overhauled hugely with 2.0. Some were 2.0, others 2.1, some 2.2.
So, for example, the character histories were absolutely incompatible and had to be done by hand.
Even worse was the YiTi Expanded and the other province mods; because they all work off of the same files, they all replace each other and required me to manually re-add those provinces by renumbering them, edit the province map image to make sure any of the new not have overlapping colours, the replacements , making sure the trade routes go to the RIGHT new province ID's.
Making sure the game boots. Which it didn't at various points: Overlapping character ID's, province ID's, missing flags (which were in the base submod), Dragon Laws was fundamentally broken, Nibbenese had the backup gfx as primary, etc.
If I'd pasted over Thousand Islander without doing it manually, you'd replace More Bloodlines' file with another one that didn't have their changes and removed the islander culture, but added a broken file.
Luckily I'm a long-time CK2+ modder so I knew what I was doing (for the most part.
Ty for keeping the community alive anon
I am glad we can enjoy this game at least a little while longer
are a lot of characters supposed to be missing bloodlines in your game? illyrio, a bunch of the golden company guys, etc don't have the ones i have in my normal setup with a separate more bloodlines.
>are a lot of characters supposed to be missing bloodlines in your game?
nta but yeah, More Bloodlines is the mod that added bloodlines to (most) every single bloodline like Bracken, Blackwood, Manderly, Frey, Redwyne, Selmy, Swann, Tarbeck, Velaryon, Illyrio, the Golden Company..
yeah that's why im wondering why they're missing, since op said he incorporated more bloodlines..
fixed it, seems like the separate faces modification was overlapping and removing bloodlines from some characters due to history changes
That's already incorporated into MB. Trust me, the Stark girls learned that extensively in my Bolton campaign.
>The rape shansha, was BEAUTIFUL
I'm playing with dark world there seems to be nothing except a "spend time with" event which is the same few sex picture I expected more to be honest. Obviously I disabled all the bestiality and tentacles and all that shit that must be where the content is or am I missing something?
I thought of doing something like that with the Elder Scrolls mod.
Do you know how hard it would be to implement the slavery system from the AGOT mod into the Elder Kings mod ?
>Do you know how hard it would be to implement the slavery system from the AGOT mod into the Elder Kings mod?
Would take some work, not easy, but not too hard. You'd have to take the laws, events, decisions, modifiers, effects and triggers, etc, then make sure they're now targeting the non-GOT cultures/titles/religions.
If you want to do some archaeology MergeAnon the mod forum (citadel something, just google AGOT mod) has loads of small stuff buried in there just laying to waste. I'm talking about minor things like Knights of the Sword Tower and Dueling Duelists, not very important good shit like improved borders but nice to have all the same and mostly pretty basic merge-jobs.
There's also the very ancient tapatalk forum which is somehow still online if anybody wants to do some digging for lost gems. but be warned that shit suffers from serious design cancer, no wonder they moved.
Great anon, I'll try it. I've been working in a mod to add more depth to dragons, but is still in a very early state and not usable yet.
Also, since this is a thread about the mod, any suggestion for a playthrough in the Vale? I feel like have tried most things except playing in the Vale, mainly because I don't know much about the houses there and I think can't name anyone from the Vale history besides the main ones from the AGOT timeline.
Based I always dreaded the convoluted submod scene but you merged them, do more
Thanks MergeAnon, you're doing gods work, now we just need CoomAnon to integrate dark world and will have reached peak ck2
It's already been pointed out that dark world should already be compatible, plus it is cringe 12yo fap bait
God I wish I could watch 12 year olds fap
Any screenshots of this in action?
It's the same as normal AGOT-mod, except with QoL improvements, more bloodlines, more provinces, and better faces.
The better faces mod is great, except for Dany. I don't know why the modder made her so goddamn ugly.
>better faces
dany looks like an albino Black person here
Valyrians = Albino Black folk
>better faces
homie she's supposed to be the most beautiful 14 year old alive and this mod made her look like a mongoloid
I fixed some shit, Faces modification should work normally now. Only history aren't in yet and mixed ethnic Dornish don't work yet.
Will put out an update later.
That's the pre-fixed version. She looks better in the normal version.
Any updates anon? I'm holding off on playing with this mod until everything is finished.
It's very playable right now if there are any short campaigns you want to do like one of the war start dates where you feel "done" before your first character is dead
same
Is there a Winds of winter submod? I know it's not released and we only have show to go on but surely someone could give it justice, dany and her army, Jon snow fighting Bolton's, cersei in westerlands young Griff in kings landing euron ruling big chunk of the reach
There is a Crow's Eye start date where Jon gets a number of choices related to Stannis' proposition, Young Griff is mid-invasion, Euron is mid-invasion.
I mean if I was going to speculate where Euron's arc is going, it isn't ruling a big chunk of The Reach.
You already basically have that in the AFFC bookmark. Dany has a very long, elaborate event chain starting in Meereen where there's multiple routes for going to Westeros. Jon Snow starts as lord commander and can either stay or take Stannis' offer, and then has a further choice to claim the throne as a Targaryen. Cersei starts as LC of the Westerlands, Young Griff starts invading the Stormlands and Euron starts at war with the reach.
>gaslighting people into thinking the word anon is somehow forbidden
>obsessed with "ESLs" for no reason as if being able to speak a norman-saxon creole is somehow a good thing when all the cultures that speak it as a first language are in terminal decline
>le reddit xD
Is there anything like this for a setting that's actually interesting?
Ck2 agot is really interesting and fun in fact the asoiaf fits the ck2 system really well I can't think of any other mod that's better hip maybe
Then again outside of westeros essos is kinda gay and serves only as a way for targ exiles like dany to build power base or for iron born to raid maybe you could larp like Robert and try conquer summer isles but aside from that essos may as well not exist
One of my favorite campaigns is to treat the Rogue Prince like Dyre the Stranger, and pull a mini-Aegon somewhere else, hybridizing their culture and religion with High Valyrian and Faith of the Seven.
Yeah Rogue Prince is pretty fun actually. Just carve out an empire and give the land to your incest targ spawn and other westerosis and Valyrians
Another thing you can do is with the SMCR cheat menu think there's an agot specific one on forum/steam is for example start campaign as dany then click on the decision to spawn a brother you can then give him a title play as him make him dragon rider and you've got yourself a non moronic valyrian claiming with familiar characters
The one thing grrm can do is worldbuilding. There is a reason this series is so popular with modding across different games
I think game of thrones is a garbage series yet still like this mod, shit's well made and the megawars system keeps things interesting.
ok

i want to like this but i'm so burnt out on ASOIAF after the garbage final seasons of the show and endless book waiting
Just use an earlier startdate and make your own fantasy history like a normal person.
It's pretty good
that's cool. takes off a lot of the jank you have with loading order when setting up agot again / on a different pc
Last time I played AGoT I had to take notes so I knew what the modlist was for the save, this is fantastic.
i remember having a ton of fun with this mod
i once played as joffrey tutored by barristan and turned him into a brave, honorable king when he became an adult and eventually i won the war against the starks
i think i spared them which was a stupid decision since they hated joffrey for killing ned
OP you should add unlost bloodlines fun little mod that spawns some characters with lost bloodlines like a "benjicot bloodraven" descendants of reynes etc seems to work fine with your mod but some characters are "noculture"
I think that mod is reaching a bit more than the average player might want their in-game history.
Plus there are already Reyne descendants in MB
Sucks we're not getting CK3AGOT any time soon since the mod is ran by a bunch of disorganized trannies who can't even finish the map after 2 years of working on it
Butttt.... They have 3d dragons...
They can't even get those to work and the artifacts/throne room thing fricked them up hard
Ck3 is shit anyway i loved ck2 from release onwards theres no such love for ck3 even years from now with a bunch of dlc I bet I still won't enjoy it as much as ck2. My dream would for paradox to open source ck2/Vic 2/Hoi3 and just let fans tweak them for eternity
Cool, thanks anon.
Imagine you're reading Winds of Winter and THIS is the Jon Snow parentage twist.
Promise me, Ned
I had a game where I was the Thenns and Ned was killed by Randyll Tarly in the war so Benjen had to go to the Tower of Joy where he got killed, Lyanna fled to Myr with the Kingsguard and her son
What should I reforge my Valyrian Steel sword into in my Farwynd game? I like Harbinger, Raging Storm, Prophecy, and Cataclysm.
Finger Eater is also a classic Ironborn choice but I want to do one of the new ones one of these submods adds.
I wanted play as freekind but they sucked ass. Has anything changed?
You mean Freefolk? They are great if you know how to play and are patient. Once you build docks on the coast with prestige you can set off to raid any vulnerable wealthy region and even get the same raiding events as the Ironborn.
Just wanted to drop a big ass
BASED
to the OP, great job man
Stannis and Shireen keep forming a "kingdom of the blackwater" that never gets revoked has to be a bug
Was working on getting the faces right but the Faces Modication are absolutely fricked and need to be redone by hand.
Will fix in the next merged release, it's one of the new custom empires added by one of the overhauls.
>Could have something you changed with elections to cause this
Haven't changed anything in Volantis or merchant republics' elections. Anon
explained why you're a dumbass.
>don't know if any of the submods in this pack offer male rape
MB does.
>MB does.
Interesting, I had no notion.
Yeah, prisoner rape doesn't check for gender. This even allows for big brain iq moves like forcing yourself on a male prisoner as a female ruler, getting pregnant, then using the resulting child to press the claims they inherit on whatever titles the father has.
>Calling me dumbass
You don't know the difference between Valyria and Volantis, you don't realize the base mechanics of why you're a merchant republic, you don't post a screenshot of your realm and election/voters menu. I haven't changed anything in the government files, you can check this yourself with whatever differing software.
I don't need to replicate shit to know this is your moronation.
If Volantis' succession is messed up this is easily fixed by grabbing the title's history file, and looking at if the law changed. If not, this is your doing.
>Also Daemon one eyed appears to have two dragons he's riding
AFAIK Dragon Laws removes the limit of tameable dragons, to sidestep some issues that could pop up with multiple-dragon-having people, like Daenerys'.
>Calling me dumbass
I'm convinced you broke something with elections while copy pasting shit with winmerge, easily replicated go to a dance with dragons start go back one year to 8128 you'll see you have cognatic primogeniture but you have one elector determining succession Otto hightowee
Also Daemon one eyed appears to have two dragons he's riding
Here's an idea; don't move the fricking dates around. There is a reason Paradox themselves abandoned that system
Huh I tested and the bug is in base agot weird. I never had any issues moving the dates around before. Btw why does this submod have some sort of "fog" compared to the no fog of starting base agot
You mean fog of war or just literal fog on the map? You can't see enemy armies in "fog" and you can't interact with people beyond your diplomatic range, but not being able to see them at all is probably not even possible on this engine.
No I mean when you start the game there's a fog when the map is starting up also the map is too glossy I honestly like the map mod I'd prefer just the regular one or a different mod which files do I delete
I'm 99% sure you're a 13 year old ESL so I'm not even going to try decipher what you mean.
>I honestly like the map mod I'd prefer just the regular one or a different mod which files do I delete
Delete these:
mapstaticswall_statics.txt
interfacewall_mapitems.gfx
Download regular AGOT and use these files to replace mergedAGOT's:
gfxFXconstants.fxh
gfxFXpdxmap.lua
gfxFXpdxwater.lua
gfxFXriver.lua
gfxFXstandardfuncsgfx.fxh
mapterrain.bmp
mapterrain.txt
maptopology.bmp
mapworld_normal_height.bmp
mapterrain (entire folder)
I haven’t played this for ages, since before they added essos. How is it now?
Good.
can i frick bran
I don't know if any of the submods in this pack offer male rape, but MB lowers the marriage age to like 14 or something and either 10 or 8 if it's a forced marriage. Plus you can start raping imprisoned women at 16.
But you can definitely kidnap bran and then force marry him if you're a chick
Started a year before adwd, succession is messed up ser otto hightower is the only voter to determine my succession I also had issues with dragon conquering Valyria and being forced to be merchant Republic? Could have something you changed with elections to cause this
>Started a year before adwd, succession is messed up ser otto hightower is the only voter to determine my succession
Why the hell would he be voting on your succession
>I also had issues with dragon conquering Valyria and being forced to be merchant Republic?
Valyria isn't in this mod
Volantis whatever same thing
I mean, it's not, but whatever. Were you using the Rogue Prince? Because if someone unlanded suddenly has a province with a city holding as their capital they just become a merchant republic. I assume you just captured their ruler or something because if you actually occupied Volantis then you should have gotten all the land in the occupied province and the castle would have just become the top level holding, but only if you actually occupied the province.
What are some appropriate House Words for House Farwynd?
Our Wynds Carry Far
Run far away after breaking wind

Far We Sail
Definitely it's something unique
>Cannibal takes out two dragons and then Meleys the Red Queen dies fighting Tessarion the Blue Queen
How is this mod always so fricking KINO
btw AGOT expanded tooltips or whatever it's called is compatible with this
god why the ai is so little sister gayot
I've got over 3,000 hours in CK2, and I think this is the first time I've seen this happen
That's some spy vs spy shit
Incredibly rare and powerful
uhhmm 3.3.5 is not working
Hey Mergeanon, I haven't taken a look at the other reformable religion changes that you've made, but it looks like there are now two versions of the Thenn religion, I assume the other one is where reformation is possible since it doesn't look like the one I started as can reform.
Also the Thenn holding is uncapitalized.
Started in Robert's Rebellion, didn't check any other start dates
It appears the same is true for the Old Gods of the Mountains
I found the lewd events
9001x better than most lewd submods I've seen for CK2
AGOT mod for CK2 was first released in the same year CK2 was released
It's been nearly 3 years since CK3's release
Bottom text
Ck3 in 2020? Jesus I feel old what a piece of shit that game is. Ck2 had fricking the old god's 3 years after its release, it even leaked on /gsg/ now THAT was a dlc *sluuurp*
Maybe change the tubbs frankish faces with the updated one, the guy changed the really bad dnas with better ones, its one of the jonothor mods.
Why does Daenarys look like she has foetal alcohol syndrome? Better faces my ass
Is there a way to use this mod pack without the tard faces?
Is a single overrated character not being up to your visual standards a dealbreaker? I'm more bothered by everyone in Ibben being clones
>I'm more bothered by everyone in Ibben being clones
I've reverted them back to Celtic faces for now, until I get the other face overhaul working, but you can change this yourself for now by going to their culture file (common/cultures/north_eastern.txt) and replacing ibbenesegfxwith celticgfx, and unblocking celticgfx in common/scripted_triggers/00_scripted_triggers on line 8218.
I'd need to add an icon for the reformed religion, atm I'm just using the same one.
Didn't know of that one, might be better than the broken-ass Face Overhaul. Thanks!
>I'd need to add an icon for the reformed religion
Ah right. Still though, I shouldn't be able to see a second one until the religion actually reforms. So it looks to me like one of them is the original version of the religion that hasn't been modified and cannot be reformed, and the other one is the one that you added that should be able to be reformed.
>So it looks to me like one of them is the original version of the religion that hasn't been modified and cannot be reformed, and the other one is the one that you added that should be able to be reformed.
Nope, that's not how it works. You can see both reformed and normal from the start, see the normal "Old Gods Below the Wall".
I also didn't ADD any religions, check the religions files, I just added a reformed = x_reformed clause to them.
Yeah, other people have complained too. Dragon Laws makes it so that they can have multiple dragons, but I can disable that.
I'm not sure why the mod would be different, but I popped over vanilla just to double check what that look like. Left is pre-reform and right is post-reform.
You're the modder though so I'll take your word for it.
I honestly have no idea, anon. Maybe modern vanilla has an inherit-holy sites effect that I just don't know about. Maybe I don't need to define holy sites for reformed religions. Might have to look that up.
Anyway, I took a look at the rel files, and there was a problem with the link to the reformed religions.
I'm merging in the updated faces and Mixed Ethnicities, will send out an update in a few hours.
Doesn't BLG use the same danny face?
People keep taming and riding multiple dragons. Jacaerys when he inherited the Iron Throne after Rhaenyra's death in Dance had three different dragons at the same time.
And then I passed the law to designate official dragon tamers and made everyone in my family who already is a dragon rider into one as an experiment, and sure enough, they all started grabbing as many free dragons as they could.
This doesn't seem normal.
Help a moron out. How the frick do I install this shit?
- Added Valyrian Ethnicities Merged, not yet adjusted events or religions, or tested
- Added Faces Overhaul as as a separate mod file to enable as a test
THERE'S A HUGE CHANGE FACES ARE FRICKED IN THE OVERHAUL AND VALYRIAN MIXED ETHNICITIES, THAT'S BECAUSE THE FACE OVERHAUL IS COMPLETELY BROKEN. IT SHOULD WORK, BUT THE MIXED DORNISH AND IRONBORN FACES ARE POSSIBLY (MOST LIKELY) BROKEN
- Added Dueling Duelists
- Added Pre-Doom bookmarks, no history (yet)
KEEP IN MIND THE PRE-DOOM MAP IS DIFFERENT, AND THE MAP CAN'T BE CHANGED DURING THE GAME, SO JUST THE BOOKMARKS ARE THERE
- Incorporated Jonothor's face DNA (no more gorilla Dany)
- Fixed Dragon Laws to limit characters to 1 dragon like vanilla AGOT
- Reset Ibbenese gfx to celticgfx because all of them look the same, won't change anything for historical characters but randomly generated ones will use Celtic faces
- Removed the "disable Charlemagne" for titular kingdom creation
- Minor bugfixes like the Codd not having a holding, reformed religions linking
Download here (still uploading atm:

God speed Merge anon
Thanks for your service
Is there an option to disable generation of random family members? It seems like this game rule was removed, which is stupid, since 90% of historical rulers and their families are handmade anyway. I tried to swap game rules with those from the base game and it did nothing, maybe it's more complex than that or the mod uses different way to generate random characters, I don't know.
>Is there an option to disable generation of random family members?
As far as I know, CK2 doesn't do that? That's only when you create a custom ruler or alternative starts.
Nope. What you could do is baleet the provinces for Essos or Sothoryos, which helps a lot but probably introduces some bugs.
You could also use that savefile trimmer thing, afaik there's a culling thing integrated into AGOT.
I'll take a look!
Generate Families is a game rule in CK2
Man, I haven't played vanilla CK2 is years so I totally forgot. AGOT doesn't have it.
>New Religious Icons
Done. Not a huge fan of unlost bloodlines but I'll see if I can whip up a compatible version.
>And no offense but how the hell do you even bear playing this mod when at best you can milk 100 years out of it.
I don't have the patience for a 100 years usually.
>You could also use that savefile trimmer thing
Is this a tool or something available on the forums?
And no offense but how the hell do you even bear playing this mod when at best you can milk 100 years out of it.
This is a 10 year old game modded up to the eyeballs we're dealing with here so yeah, shit breaks.
It's usually caused by something predictable though like your FPS being tanked to shit because everyone's court is filled by with 30+ geriatric grandmothers that the game insists on running checks for every month, that's what court trimmers and the like are for.
It's an ultimately unsolvable problem but you can easily squeeze several centuries of enjoyment out of a game if you take measures, most of the fun is in restarting and trying different things anyway.
>And no offense but how the hell do you even bear playing this mod when at best you can milk 100 years out of it.
Most of the novelty comes from playing with canon characters. I think most people playing this mod are done 100 years in. It sucks that you can't go way beyond that if you want to, but I don't think the mod should cater to that minority.
You're doing Rh'llor's work MergeAnon flames bless you.
I second the suggestion for for Unlost Bloodlines because a ledger full of 0s upsets me, and also propose New Religious Icons since they're just so much cleaner looking IMO.
I don't like that R'hllor doesn't look like a burning heart and that the giant squid gets turned into an octopus, but the rest are nice. Clean and clear.
I'd like to run this but in my experience AGOT always falls flat on its face and becomes a lagging monstrocity that you can barely run within 100 years of game start. Do you have any advice to make it more viable, or will this merge fix some of the lag-causing problems?
Turn slavery off, that helps. Though I wouldn't really look to AGoT for games going beyond 200 years.
>I wouldn't really look to AGoT for games going beyond 200 years
this goes for vanilla ck2 as well. At a certain point continuing to play is just terrible
Yeah but in vanilla you can get out to like 400 years before it really starts slowing down.
Im only running the merged mod but I'm getting next to no countries for every bookmark up to Century of Blood. Any idea whats causing this?
Dunno which submod adds Dragonstone as a kingdom, but it's not de jure under the Iron Throne, pls fix
Hey is
>AGOT - Faces Modification - More Bloodline Compatibility
Supposed to be showing up separately? Is it supposed to be run together?
I just deleted my mod folder before installing this version and it's not something from the workshop.
I'm planning on playing Tywin, which time period should I go for?
Robert's Rebellion so you can backstab that fat frick in the back
Robert's rebellion and try to get Jaime to be your heir
Early childhood, get aerys to marry your future wife instead and get married to his sister
Duskendale Defiance, so you can let Aerys fricking die.
War of the Five Kings so you can get cucked in battle by a boy and then die of old age after seeing the reputation of your family which you dedicated your life to destroyed
I'm going to frick Sansa. And Bran can watch.
As whom?
>OK
every time
Everyone
I've been meaning to play with Tywin right when he becomes LP of the Westerlans
add this mod
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=899387018&searchtext=superman
You guys need to stop this shit.
I have a shit ton of games that have been sitting on my backlog forever to get through, but now all i wanna do is play another Stannis game.
Why is he sad?
not canon
I can't play as anyone but Shitnaerys post-AFFC because if you don't pick her, she will just die of illness or in battle against the Kahzoos and never fricking invade Westeros which is anticlimatic as frick
I try to play as Jon in AFFC but some things are frustrating unless you use console commands or cheat mods
>dany keeps shitting herself or getting btfo in meeren
>faegon never ever manages to capture the stormlands so he just fricks around til tommen kills him
>if you dont play as stannis he just keeps being a dumbass and going south to get himself killed
>littlefinger keeps marrying salsa (kinda based)
>roose keeps hiding like a b***h instead of getting captured
I once had the perfect game:
>Euron actually conquers the Reach for once
>Stannis stays north, dies in battle but gets resurrected and defeats the Boltons. Puts Rickon as lord of The North.
>fAegon snatches The Stormlands from The Mannis before Tommen & allies' armies
>Because the Tyrells got cucked by One Eyed Jack Sparrow, the fAegon + Martell + new Stormlands forces are able to conquer KingsLanding from the Lannisters
>The Wall fell and the WW are slowly advancing south(John is still alive too)
>Meanwhile i have "quickly" defeated all slavers with minimum loses and i am about to invade, restore the Targaryen regime over the entire continent and defeat the Others
>I even receive and accept the marriage offer event from fAegon for the first time (He usually gets executed after getting defeated)
>game shits itself
>my save file is corrupted
>never autosaved
>REEE for 5 minutes and don't play the mod for a year
>Euron actually conquers the Reach for once
I think it's 50/50 for me, he either kills mace and willas/garlan take care of him or he captures mace and wins the war
>rule the Iron Throne
>can't fricking stand all the pop-up events and people b***hing for stuff
>conquer all of Old Valyria, give it its independence when they demand it because I can't be bothered to fight against a faction uprising
>High Septon keeps fricking with me and I keep giving him more privileges to make the headache go away (temporarily)
Ruling is suffering.
t.Robert
extended map when?
This map is so disgusting that I can't bear looking at it for more than 5 seconds
Real full map when?
Do you need to have all DLC for this to work? I've had an itch lately to play the mod lately and saw this, but my faces are all transparent. Do I need DLC for it to function right?
I am using my steam version, deleted my old cracked version when CK3 came out and I don't want to have to go through the hassle of redownloading the game if I don't have to(not buying dlc either though).
Nevermind, found a much quicker way to install the DLC's, got it working real quick. Thank you for the mod OP.
Ugh... what could have been...
VGH
Can't call my two allies into a war against our liege, even though all the conditions below are filled. Any ideas out there?
Great work.
Here are some ideas and fixes that I usually include or want to include in my builds.
1) Fix Vallar Hill having same mother as the rest of the Sarwycks.
2) Change Riverrrun to a level IV castle instead of level VI. Since it is not suppose to be a large caste by any degree, just hard to siege do to its geography. Maybe add a custom "Riverrrun" Bulding to it to make up for the fort level loss if you know how to do that.
3) Change Harrenhall from level V to a level VI castle since it is supposed to be the biggest castle in Westeros. And change the modifiers of the "Harrenhall" building to apply bigger income and levy penalties until harrenhall is restored.
4) Make all of the riverlands coastal counties that borders the trident and the god's eye actually coastal, since in the books there is actual trade going trought the trident and the trade posts would reflect that and Harrenhall had a small port to harbor harren's fleet which the ironborn used to attack aegon's army.
Cont.
5) Make Dawn and all family armor sets equipable by anyone. (I imagine I wasn't the only ironborn to steal Dawn only to found out that i respect the Dayne family traditions too much to actually equip it).
There must be some submod doing that, because I grabbed Dawn when I did a Harras 'The Knight' Harlaw game running MB I could use Dawn.
I don't think I agree with the armor though since so many families already have their own
Just posting little bugs as I find them.
Thanks again for making this combined mod, it's fantastic. I need to try out Expanded Yi'Ti + MB now that you've made them compatible.
You successfully fixed the Codd bug where you couldn't move ships out of the province. However, Codd Hall doesn't start with a castle level, not even the lowest "Small Ironborn Keep", which means they start with 0 ships and 225 levies as well as very low income. So, technically playable but relatively limited with no early-game raiding.
However Nettlemont starts with no character in every bookmark that I checked.
I'm doing my Daemon Yi'Ti game, which bloodline should I go with?
God-Emperor of Yi-Ti all the way, or alternatively dickless king if your dynasty tree needs pruning, root and stem.
>Finally have a decent shot at winning as Maelys
>get assassinated because I forgot to auto-stop plots
FRICK
I don't recall a single county changing its culture throughout any of my games, apart from that one time when the aztecs invaded and converted the first county they took (but prolly due to some script than anything natural).
Do natural culture conversions for counties work in the mod at all?
It seems to be broken even if you play with vanilla rule settings for it.
I haven't seen it yet in this mod, but I had it in an MB game not that long ago. In fact I don't think culture conversion was even on in that campaign so it was even more surprising.
As for Aztec conversion, that CB will convert a couple provinces you conquer, same as the viking invasion.
Does this work if I don't have all the face portrait DLCs?
First thing I'm doing when this mod is all done is making Bittersteel Lord of the Riverlands after a Blackfyre victory.
I wish more of these dates had set events to transfer titles to the claimants on your side, you usually end up in the awkward position of having someone that you want to give titles to, like making Bittersteel the new Lord of Bracken and Lord of the Riverlands, yet you have to find some excuse to displace the previous ones or incur massive tyranny to do it.
Could anyone please remind me, retinues were locked behind the "establish Household Guard" decision right?
Speaking of kino locations to land people, in my Bolton game I landed a Blackwood offshoot in Blackwood Grove and made them Lord of the Wolfswood. Also, have you guys seen the Blackwoods revive their heart tree? It happened in one of my campaigns and they got two new bloodlines and a new building in their capital.
Sup op. Might I recommend you add the following mods to the mix?
This one just adds extra buildable buildings
https://agotcitadel.boards.net/thread/2159/special-buildings-submod-treasure-hunter
https://www.moddb.com/mods/sinful-mods-for-enhanced-gameplay-and-flavor/downloads/sinful-population
This one adds pop system to the game but isn't adapted to the map changes of MB
The pop systems seems unstable, according to comments on it on other platforms.
I should be able to incorporate the buildings mod.
I hadn't checked the newest version yet, but were you able to fix the Codd Hall not having a keep building? It makes them kind of broken because they have 0 ships and almost no levies.
Either way I'm gonna download and check around the map for bugs again later before starting a new campaign
It wasn't fixed on the last release as I had no time the last week (when I merged these mods, I had two weeks off).
I did just fix it and will push it to the repo.
Really cool, I saw it was already on gitlab after making that. I assume you also fixed Nettlemont right next door?
And this is totally unrelated, but have you thought about adding a decision for converting to the Valyrian Subcultures? For some reason the original modder only set it up for the AI to have the option to convert to it if the ruler was Valyrian, which didn't really make any sense since the subculture is associated with being ethnically Valyrian. Meanwhile there isn't a decision for the actual top-level ruler to convert to the subculture, at least that I know of. I thought there was one when I last used the mod on it's own but it also had stupid requirements like being Valyrian religion.
I know that would be tedious to fix though, writing a new decision for every mixed culture.
I didn't, actually. Totally forgot. Will take a look now.
OP, where can we follow the mods progress? Github? Probably not the citadel since they're sticklers about asking about mod permissions.
A public repository would be nice for suggestions/feedback/content tracking, as for a place GitGud permits all sorts of degenerate porno shit so I doubt they'd mind about petty mod piracy.
Thanks my dude :)!
#
I'll set one up.
#
Honestly I got no clue, just the latest CK2 update.
OP, what patch/checksum from the base game do you need?
I'm on 3.3.0 XDSW.
Made a repository

god bless anon, I will start a new game once I finish reading storm of swords
Why not gitbub is gitlab the troon ESL approved site?
>troon esl
Literally obsessed with buzzwords
Cope, Trump won.
Because I know from experience that Gitlab is okay with degenerate filth like Haramase Simulator, a game from /h/ I am intimately involved with (as I used to dev for it), and it's one layer of semi-obscurity so it won't immediately pop up.
never been into weeb coomer games but if it's impreg focused you are a very based man regardless
I can't play VNs if it doesn't have some sort of taboo hook
Repo is public, added issues to track what I need to do. If you see anything or have changes you want to make, or just want to contribute, go ahead.
I'm going to start with trying to get the CotF at least distinguishable by name. Suggestions are appreciated.
It is indeed and it has all kinds of fetish, including incest. Each girl has another hook.
Impregnation is always good, but I tend to find that if it's an eroge the eroticism is just a drawback and if it's a nukige you get one gooood fap out of the first chapter and never find it good again because it relies too hard on weird kinks.
Could you create a steam collection and share the link?
why
Why would it be a collection, it's one mod
I didn't really want to put this on the gitlab since it's more of a design thing than a flat out bug, but the current face mod makes only the Shadowbinder priests wear masks, when everyone in Asshai should be wearing a mask.
Nettlemont's history file was empty lol. Fixed it. Will push in a second.
I realise this is anti-lore. The reason, afaik, is so that it allows for players to actually see the characters.
I'll note it down and try to incorporate it as a game rule.
Fair enough. I was also checking and apparently those red-lacquer masks that the previous version used for the Asshai'i would actually be more appropriate for the Shadow Men, which might be a good idea since right now they look a bit out of place and not as exotic as they should be. The masks and veils that the Asshai'i wear don't appear to be of any one type or offer any description.
Apparently the Shadow Men are also supposed to be heavily tattooed.
https://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Shadow_Men
Latest push, I fixed the mask issue and added a rule to choose for canon (everyone) or restricted (Shadowlands-shadowbinders-only). The portraits file had some issues with the checks for the triggers, so I assume that caused problem as well.
Haven't tested it yet, though.
I'll add a Less Restricted option too: all shadowbinders from any culture.
Can't promise anything on new gfx, I'm not an artist.
Yeah I didn't mean add in totally new stuff, just that if possible it might be appropriate to give them the vanilla tattoos that some of the wildlings use.
Also anon you might want to take a look at the former southron gfx. Everyone is bald and clothless.
Op, i play Agot with many mods , like much of the ones your added plus more(Agot Reformation,Agot Dragons, etc.) and have changed all of them to work properly with one another, the game is stable, up to a 100 years without a crash(for me atleast). I know nothing about using github, but would like you to add my collection to your merge, since its such a useful one, would you be interested? I would share a link for you to get it.
Just post a mediafire or a mega or something sounds good tho
Here is the link:
https://www.mediafire.com/file/h6ygmj78j88nb63/AGOT_Mod_Collection%2528Not_Merged%2529.rar/file
Do use all of the mods listed here so that it all works properly.
Anon these mods crash on launch almost every single time. And when they don't, they crash a year into the game.
Are you using only the mods in my collection? The only order mods i use together is the agot soundtrack mod and very minor performance mods. Also, do you have all the dlc? it might be needed. Be sure to delete the old mods and put my collection instead with the mod descriptor, its needed for the dependecies.
Not him but just downloaded it and it crashed a year into the game for me as well. Your file names made me laugh
Tested it and it's working fine for me, 2 years passes and no crashes, don't know what the problem could be. You can try deleting the gfx and map folder inside the Documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings II/ Game of Thrones folder, it might help, otherwise i don't know what to do to fix the issue. If you do find the fix for the crash, please share.
why does the night's watch keep on falling apart?
I haven't seen that in any of my games, how far in are you?
Right at the beginning of the crowned stag. Provinces in the watch are inherited by random nobles.
Oh shit I didn't even notice that the newer build adjusts Beyond the Wall provinces, I'm seeing the same issue
To be more specific for Mergeanon;
>Rogue Prince start date
It looks like problem is somehow tied to dynastic inheritance vs The Night's Watch inheritance. The starting Lord Commander was Clay Cerwyn, and Brandon's Gift now has the regular Cerwyn's as their liege.
Aw frick. I'm not at home this weekend, but I did remote in. They had open elective in some points at the history, which I replaced with nightswatch_elective succession. Can't test because not home, but possibly fixed?
Frick my ass. I'll take a look when I'm back. Same issue as the Dornish mixed ethnicities, probably.
>I didn't even notice that the newer build adjusts Beyond the Wall provinces
Yeah, it's to simulate the fact that the NW has some "hold" onto the areas just beyond the wall, so the provinces stretch a bit. Otherwise you get longgg provinces.
>just that if possible it might be appropriate to give them the vanilla tattoos that some of the wildlings use
It's possible. I can't recall those atm so are you sure those would be appropriate?
Oh yeah, that's possible and easy: just replace the value of the key in the localisation file.
It would need to be shortened to actually fit into the box, though.
You can test this yourself, the localisation file is called 00_valyrian_steel, but check the event file first (valyrian_steel_events) to see what they actually refer to and make changes.
If you get it to how you like it, you can make a pull request on the git.
I think the issue is that since the gift isn't a de jure part of the night's watch there's an event to surrender the territory.
>It's possible. I can't recall those atm so are you sure those would be appropriate?
Well I can't pull them up with the ruler designer so I'm not sure how to show them as an example. In vanilla and I think in the mod I think they just randomly show up on people who are in warrior societies. In vanilla I think there might even be different ones for the warrior societies of other religions like Slavic. As for whether or not it would be appropriate, the description we have is very vague, all we get is
>Shadow Men are known for covering their bodies in tattoos and wearing red lacquered wooden masks.
I was picturing a mish mash of every cultural tattoo in the game + the masks
To add onto loreful tweaks, it might be appropriate to change the Stygai duchy name to The Vale of Shadows, the name for that whole valley between the central mountains.
https://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Vale_of_Shadows
Hey Mergeanon, since the reforged Valyrian Steel Swords automatically prompt you for a custom name now, would it be possible to change all the reforge options from the name which is kind of obsolete with the actual crafted item description? I'd be happy to get all the descriptions for you to paste in in place of the names.
For example, instead of the reforging window saying "Avenger" it would instead say "A balanced Valyrian Steel Sword with black leather grip and twin hooks on the pommel." Would that run off the decision box? I want to help others avoid my predicament where I'm dropping a save and reforging every one to find one that fits my campaign.
What's the best start date?
What is the best color?
Just asking in case there's something equivalent to 769 in vanilla, which is absolutely fricked up and poorly balanced.
Assuming you're just a showgay probably Robert's Rebellion going forward, anything earlier and you won't know anyone
Hey I'm not sure if this would be difficult or not, but could you incorporate the Bigger Interface mod? There is a version made for AGoT which is kind of compatible with the merged mod but it seems to bug out when you swap to certain religions (which change the icon colors and stuff)
All the mod does is lengthen menus so you get another row for your 50 kids and concubines, and the bloodline menu gets lengthier which pairs well with the bloodline bloat MB adds
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=789707841&searchtext=bigger+interface
Some cultures seem to have random floating ears to the right of their portrait. More common in the east. I've deleted my GFX folders just incase it was old files being fricky but it's still there.
Yeah it's not that bad in this one but I had the same problem a couple times when I was using Better Faces along with MB and some other mods. As I recall it was some bullshit where you needed a different version with each mod combination, it was a real clusterfrick
Hey lads. Sorry for the no-updates. I've been busy for days and haven't had time to either even play or test anything.
If anyone wants to contribute, you're obviously welcome to.
fricking kill me
I'm moronic, how do I contribute?
Get a git client, pull the repo, fork it and push your changes, as pull requests. There's a few guides online on how to do all that, here's one:
https://opensource.com/article/18/1/step-step-guide-git
I don't have any modding experience, so unfortunately the most I can do to help is make suggestions and detail bugs that I've found. The mod is fantastic though, even in it's current state. I can't wait to see it all finished off
Its okay champ
Frick off with your virus mod. I downloaded that trash years ago and have never been able to fully remove it from my PC.
Noticing a lot of shills are using "virus" now, it's like the next schizo
For some fricking reason, a lot of lordship in my game has gavelkind succession type.
>downloading torrent agot.exe with one seed
>muh this is virus mod
What start date
Game of thrones
A clask of king
I'm fricking moronic how do I fricking take my liege lord's duchy title? Do I really have to leave it to chance and fabricate on the capital?
Yes, you can even get your first kingdom ambition. Alternatively you can get claim, or even a title, through marriage or you can form faction to replace your liege if his primary title is elective monarchy, though that might be vanilla thing.
*Yes, you can even get a claim on your first kingdom with become a king ambition.
Yeah, build your power base and fabricate on him. Or marry into them for a claim and press it for someone who will inherit later.
When will they add the full map?
My biggest issue with this mod is that savegames inevitably slow down to shit after like 50+ years, and then start breaking completely and corrupting after about a hundred.
Even if I use the mod that deletes essos and disables slavery, it just delays the issue by a couple decades.
What do you mean corrupting, that thing where the game crashes when you try to save it?
You can fix that by saving right before the new year and then editing the save to be in the new year if you are really into your campaign. Apparently the problem fixes itself after a random amount of time.
As for slowdown, that's more of a pc issue, I don't experience any until 150+ years in, and that's with Essos and slaves.
Hey op, got kind of a problem.
Installed everything correctly, however shit doesnt work.
it crashes once it launches. Any advise?
used this one here:
https://gitlab.com/Methaneus/merged_agot
What mods are you running
Is your game up to date
yeah, im only running the merged agot mod, nothing else.
Also my ck2 is up to date, really can't find the problem.
Did you uninstall and reinstall CK2? Some other mods edit stuff when they are installed
reinstalled the game, still fricking chrashes.
Im geniuenly going to kill my self
What about the ck2 file in documents, did you purge all that as well?
did that, finally fricking worked.
Time to rape sansa stark with deep blue oceans in the background.
For me it's House Velaryon
Frick it more bloodlines had its new beta poste
Have they added those three islands in yet?
Yeah, someone also made a submod without the new beta since it isnt complete yet
https://agotcitadel.boards.net/thread/4343/agot-targaryen-islands
Sup. Work is still busy but I at least did something:
This was easy: Merged these islands in.
Well I sure hope they include an update patch so I don't have to figure out what's updated and what's not.
Yeah that's why I said "no guarantees" because the edits it did to the culture files were WACK. It practically changed the entire structure.
I removed the .mod file for it to save others from the confusion.
I forgot my tripcode lol.
what are you talking about anon
More Bloodlines had a unfinished beta of the new update (that has been made since forever) posted on the disc*rd
thanks, anon, i didn't know about the discord

>Invasion of the Wall by some descendants of some wildlings kings
I remember hearing about this a while ago, should be good. I still think that Janos Slynt needs a Vile Bloodline and dynastic armor though
are those all the bloodlines they are going to add?
I actually made a few minor bloodlines myself but I'm bad at making descriptions for them
I am obsessed homosexual one day we will be rid of you all
I have no idea what half those mods do or are but the base mod itself felt a bit barebones so this is really cool, thanks OP.
Hey Merge anon, any guides on how to merge submods into your version? I wanted to help out and merge this in
https://agotcitadel.boards.net/thread/29/more-bookmarks-v3-3
Anyone else use console commands to remove Margaery’s lustful trait?
I actually removed it in the game files, along with adding and removing other traits to other characters
What traits do you add/remove?
For me, it was Empress Shireen of New Valyria, fat and kept alive through a constant stream of sacrifices to R’hllor.
quite a lot, for example
>removed lustful from margaery
>removed lustful from val and added strong
>removed quick from ramsay, gave him deceitful and capable/strong_1 instead
>added lustful to cersei after robert dies
I also autistically made/remade a bunch of new portraits for a lot of characters, I could make more for others but it's kind of hard to do so when you dont have much art to go with
Wouldn't the lesser strong trait be more appropriate for Val? She's capable but not through brute strength like the Mormont girls
make Cersei a glutton too.
Margaery is canonically a bawd, though
that's just cersei's schizo and biased pov speaking
yes that's exactly what I meant, I forgot the name of the first strong trait, I think it's solid right? then capable and then strong
Doesn't Val proposition Jon though? That would be why she has lustful
I guess, we could argue if she is or not in the books but to be honest I removed lustful mostly because I dont want to get cucked whenever I play as Jon
That's fair I guess, though that doesn't seem to usually be a problem with me.
Also are you the main guy who lost the trip or someone else?
it happens often to me
I'm the guy who did this
I forgot about that, I should add it
Well whoever you are, since you're fricking with the portraits and cultures, can you look into giving the Shadowmen the various pagan tattoos from vanilla? I think it would go a long way to make them look as exotic as they are supposed to, plus it would be loreful.
And while you're looking at stuff over there if you want to rename the duchy of Stygai to the Vale of Shadows that would also be cool.
>tfw Daenerys gets diarrhea
>Reform Ironborn
>Cuthroat, The Old Way, and Black Magic
Based.
Another fun one is to be Harras The Knight Harlaw and reform it to be Faith of the Seven syncretic with knights and stuff. The whole time I kidnapped every highborn lass across the continent to make them my salt wives while larping that they were just running off with the dashing rogue knight
i really fricking love they just let you have an entire harem of concubines as an iron islander
fulfilled my genghis khan desires more than the base game did
also rape
Rape is super convenient for setting up cadet dynasties, too. I'm playing the Rogue Prince into Asshai right now, and I want to establish the four "pre set" cadet dynasties for the Targs set up in different duchies and islands, so I'm just mass raping like 20+ women in my dungeon every year.
Just so you know, you can also coastal raid with the Wildlings, you just need to spend some prestige on building dockyards on the coast. Granted, you can't take a million salt wives but you can still do the manual dungeon rape trick I mentioned (which is actually ridiculous for breeding since it's like a 50% chance on every one and can be repeated like every year, multiply that by 20 women and it's insane)
i just really like having concubines
I understand.
You did become a literal God-King, right anon?
This is actually legit. I was super fricking happy when it happened. I've recreated this character through console commands, but I've never had pure kino like it happen ever again.
Only way it could be more based is if you were a Farwynd or a Codd
>Farwynd
Eh, not obscure enough
>spoiler
don't you dare insinuate, you fuuuuuuuck
based
I like the concept of playing an immortal character but it just becomes a drag after a while with the millions of characters you spawn with a frick huge harem.
It's also a lot more thematic with the Ironborn as they have more of a spooky background, and if you make yourself the head of the reformed Ironborn religion you are the Drowned King or God King or something
You're basically the Grey King 2.0
While we are on the subject, anyone know anything about Sea Dragons in AGoT or any submods? It was something that was vaguely hinted at in an update years back and I was never able to really find anything out about it. It was implied you could get Nagga or something like it was a super rare event and everyone just forgot about it
https://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Nagga
https://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Sea_dragon
nope
you can find nagga the sea dragon on the character history page, but none in game
Shame, there's the Ice Dragons too but you can't do anything with them and they just melt when killed
I didn't know there were ice dragons.
Speaking of which, I checked the features file and there it says that Cuthroat has set_allow_looting = no as one of its effects.
Wouldn't the opposite be true given the nature of the doctrine?
Uh yeah, I think it’s basically a pirate doctrine. Doesn’t it remove the malus for murder and stuff
the old way lets you keep looting
Oh one more small thing I noticed, the webbed finger trait that one of the mods is adding should really also give a significant opinion bonus (to more than overcome the malus) for the fish people, Lengi, and I think the Sistermen as well. I'd have to double check the lore but it's considered to be varying degrees of a blessing/normal in those places.
I personally enjoy cucking my rivals and raping their daughters.
For me? It's raping my rivals
I mean, sure, if they're female.
That would be too boring.
Does it really have a rape button? Wouldn't violate Steam's community guidelines or something?
yes
The rape button is from More Bloodlines I think, which isn't on Steam. Also, the regular AGoT mod isn't on Steam, either, it just has a link to the moddb page.
Why? It used to be.
I don't think it was, since you always had to run an installer.
Not sure why they insisted on installer, when you had all the game rules
No idea, this mod doesn't need one and it includes the base mod
What usually happens in this mod at War of Five Kings bookmarks, if the player doesn't intervene? Who usually wins?
It depends on whether or not little finger takes over the Vale. Usually, the war goes on forever.
Surprising the autistics devs didn't decide to make it more railroaded.
Not that they could PDX, tried to make Charlemagne more railroaded and they didn't really succeed.
It's pretty much a toss-up in vanilla, maybe Robb winning like 65% of the time. In this mod there are really too many variables now like the Vale getting involved, people dying, etc.
Well you can make the ai always decide certain things. The Ironborn have the option of invading the Westerlands instead of The North but as far as I know the ai will always choose The North.
Why yes, I did read smut fanfics through this campaign
>rape Arya, seduce Sansa, Cersei, Mrycella, Melisandre, Catelyn, Shae, Margaery, and Mya Stone
>as Joffrey
I could swear I posted my merged extra trait mod here am I going insane
>merged extra trait mod
huh?
This
What does it add though?
First one adapts this mod https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1858647764 to work with AGOT, second one removes a certain event in game that always fires when you reach x number of traits to remove one
I have no fricking idea how this happened
the many faced god came for king's landing
>all the women i could want
>immortality
>magic
>status as a living god
>drowned pretty much every other king except for Dorne and the North
>sacrifices to myself
i love this too much
>tfw your mother is raped and taken as a concubine
>tfw your mother is murdered by your homelanders who hate her
>tfw the same man who raped and took your mother rapes and takes you
I also killed her great grandfather and his son, who where both kings of the Stormlands.
hehehehe
I had a short game where I took Margaery as Balon's Salt Wife when sacking The Rock, apparently she had married a Lannister cousin. Mace promptly launched a war to get her back, which I had no hope of winning. Yet I fought on, and the old curmudgeon Balon took Loras and Garlan down. I like to imagine how broken Mace would have been left after that.
I'm going to do another Ironborn campaign as soon as the Codd stuff in this mod gets squared away.
Are you guys playing the new Gitlab version? Since the targ island it has only been crashing for me.
Have you deleted all files from the previous versions and deleted gfx and map cache in documents/paradox interactive/crusader kings II? Map updates tend to frick this shit up.
I did also reinstalled the whole game and deleted everything from documents I'm at a loss now as to what do, I can only assume the mod made a mistake.
No, there's a newer version up?
There has been an update to the gitlab one yes.
For merged or the main mb mod and the aegon island submod?
>immortal chad rapist god of the iron isles
>killer of greenlander kings
>comfy as frick
>thinking of expanding to the west coast of westeros and the riverlands
the vale king conquered the riverlands and the north, so i'm debating between keeping myself free of greenland filth or playing emperor sea king
I like to make an Ironborn super-empire where I just take the most fitting duchies from every realm to gimp them while empowering my own empire
>The North
Bear Island, Skaagos, and Cape Kraken
>The Riverlands
Seagard and the rest of the duchy, including the old Mudd capital. Eliminates your historical anti-Ironborn rival and secures your passage into the inland river system.
>Westerlands
Fair Isle, maybe the neighboring peninsula as well. The Rock if you want to get greedy since it doesn't jut inland too much and is a major blow to their power.
>The Reach
The Misty Isles and the Arbor. Maybe Oldtown as well since it's fairly isolated border wise and makes for a nice little foothold seizing some of the best land without going too far.
>Dorne
Ghaston Grey and the Broken Arm. Seizes their capital and powerbase and is right next to other holdings. Also has a ton of building slots to expand, though that isn't super practical in this mod.
>Lys
Just the duchy of Lys
>The Stepstones
All of it
>Tyrosh
Just the duchy of Tyrosh
>The Stormlands
Tarth and I think one other duchy that has an island
>Dragonstone
All of it. What is de jure on the mainland perfectly represents little toeholds.
>The Vale
Witch Isle and the rest of the duchy it's part of, The Three Sisters
>Braavos
The Duchy of Braavos
>Ibben
The entire Kingdom
>The Summer Isles
The entire Kingdom
>The Basilisk Isles
The entire Kingdom
>Sothoryos
Either just the island of Naath or colonize the entire Kingdom
>North Valyria
Elyria. The rest of the Kingdom is too much isolated inland land for my taste.
>Ghis
Colonize the Cedar Islands
>Great Moraq
All of it
>Qarth
The island and the duchy on the south side of the strait on the Great Moraq landmass, duchy of Qarth as well if you want
>Leng
All of it. Then colonize the rest of the islands in the Jade Sea.
At least, that's how I usually do it when I'm going for a naval/raiding focus.
Same. Right now, I just don't feel like managing all that. Though, I am saddened that most of the Ironborn great houses have died out. The Hoares were super close to death after I killed Qhorwyn but they've survived.
there's something deeply satisfying as making all the other kingdoms and essos your b***h as this far off island nation
When the frick are we getting ck3agot
you take prince of darkness and you like it
meh, ck3 is a lot worse at it's core
But it looks cool as hell (the characters themselves)
Does it, though?
I think so yeah. What are you comparing it to? I like the idea of seeing my 7ft Targaryen married to his 14 year old wife
Well I'll admit it has the potential to look very good.
I don't love how the state of the models at release though, and it seems like it would be way more work for anyone to fix it than they are willing to bother with.
you have shit taste and should be ashamed
Without a doubt, you are the most powerful enemy I have ever faced. I have stood before a thousand men and slain them by my own hands. You were not beyond my reach, but, in the entire world, you are the only one that has fended me back during centuries alive. You are the first dragon I've slain yet I am sure you are the fiercest to exist in spite of your youth.
I will remember you forever.
I had a strong and agile dragon pop up in my campaign, have never seen one get both before
Crazed, agile, and obedient. Dragon could've killed fricking Balerion.
nah
i really have no idea how this happened
i drowned his father and he's been incapable for years but he's secured another kingdom
also, the stormlands were conquered by Myr before the Durrandons were put back into power by a faction
Anon, I hate to break it to you but you might not be the only special character it seems. He is incapable yet strangely successful, I think it's time for a drowning.
about that
Saltcliffeanon, I know you play on the Iron Islands alot, so I think you may have experienced this. There's this problem that the AI has when fighting on the iron islands and the wars there seem to last forever.
It's the ships. No kingdom has a good amount of ships to bring their full troops over. Coincidentally, this makes the Iron Isles the perfect defensive position if you never expand beyond it.
Even so, during AI civil wars, the war would drag on for years. It might be their lack of troops.
To keep the Iron Isles up to par with the rest of the kingdoms, most main holdings are common or above.
Cringe, the Riverlands belongs to the Hoares, anyone else is a cheap imitation
Too bad they are dead anon. Dragonfire does that to you.
My point is you should only go all in on the Riverlands if you start as Hoare
how else will you raid essos?
Well you can go around pretty quickly. As I mentioned above I like to conquer at least one duchy from each Kingdom, and from the Riverlands the most thematic is Seagard, as they are historical rivals and it allows you access to the inland river.
okay
how about i just keep the riverlands and conquer all the islandy bits of westeros too?
I was just fricking with you, you can do whatever the hell you want.
But if you want to follow sort of a "guide" for thematic Ironborn conquests you can just read this
i know
having fun, fren
Anon, it may be time for another drowning just to spare yourself the pain, and to experiment whether they get another kingdom if you drown another generation of them.
do i play the mega versions or the ghitlab version?
I think gitlab is newer but might be less stable
Gitlab version currently straight up doesn't work, the Mega one does but has some faults with provinces.
shit maybe I should've tested first
ugh
imagine not even having a county
They do now
Though I don't know if the gitlab version has fixed the holding level problem.
Also they always had a county in the Aegon start date
>Aegon start date
there's your problem
What
aegon start date suck unless you're anywhere outside of westeros
>t. gets memed on by some inbred lizard riders
yes
have you fricking tried killing the dragons as anything less than an omega gigachad?
It's not that difficult if you get the dragonlore first
most people don't even fricking know the dragonlore mechanic exists
How do you even get dragon lore without owning dragon egg first or tame a dragon ambition? I didn't know it can help you to slay the dragons.
https://www.reddit.com/r/CK2GameOfthrones/comments/28zmyx/dragon_lore_event_locations/
Just raise a small levy, put yourself in charge of it, and put them in the province.
>t. average ruler of westeros
Gitlab version won't even load to main menu before crashing, oh well
Yeah, I'll try fixing it when I get some more time.
I was part of CK2+, a few other small things, nothing big.
Send troops then use the decision, iirc.
Love you, also bumping so thread doesn’t die
It's over soon anyway, sadly.
So make another one you c**t, this project deserves it
How does colonizing Aegon islands work again? I think I want to do a Farwynd campaign when the gitlad version gets fixed
Are you making any other mod stuff?
Ugh....
where's alys rivers
Why does Aemond look so cool
the dance of morons
should've just given the b***h her throne instead of killing her kid and making sure it'd all end in blood
>should've just given the b***h her throne
It wasn’t her throne by right. Other circumstances are irrelevant.
>right
By what law? Natural law? Please. The succession was decided.
Jaehaerys set the precedent that women couldn't inherit the iron throne over a male relative twice over. Its the reason Viserys became king over Rhaenys, and then he threw it away because he got mad at his brother over a rumor.
Doesn't matter. Precedent is often overturned and Viserys was literally the next king over, so there was no longstanding or tradition of it. His daughter was his rightful heir. Overturning an agreement met upon by himself and his lords would cause more chaos than forgoing his predecessor's position on the matter.
>Precedent is often overturned and Viserys was literally the next king over, so there was no longstanding or tradition of it.
Jaehaerys' great council used longstanding precedence of traditional Andal and Valyrian inheritance to decide how succession should work, and the whole thing was prompted because there was a legitimate dispute as to who would succeed him. Viserys on the other hand decided he wanted his daughter to inherit because he didn't want his brother inheriting because he was an butthole. The very same brother he changed succession to disinherit would go on to marry his daughter anyway, completely invalidating his sole kinda legitimate reason for doing it.
>Overturning an agreement met upon by himself and his lords would cause more chaos than forgoing his predecessor's position on the matter.
How do you not see that the chaos was caused by Viserys' overturning precedent? Had he not broken with the decision of Jaehaerys' great council (and traditional Andal succession besides) there would be no contesting his inheritance, the throne would pass to his eldest son and nobody would have been able to seriously challenge it.
Hindsight is 20/20. He wasn't even born then. And Daemon, despite being really effective at shit, would've made a horrible King at the time. Just look at what he did with the Stepstones for christ's sake.
If both claimants actually took the time to talk with each other about it, I'm sure they would've decided things peacefully but the lines were drawn long before that thanks to the fricking Hightowers.
The chaos was caused by Aegon's camp chimping out nothing more
What titular empire is that?
It's just the normal Iron Throne title but with the Cripples, Bastards, and Broken Things submod which adds a few things including personal banners for some characters
these designs are trash
basado
Is there a viable way to play as Jon Snow after the end of the show? I want to restore him to the throne, I honestly thought that's how the show would end
the mod follows book canon up until AFFC with some bits of ADWD, unless you mean the post end show mod but I never tried it myself
Make him a king beyond the wall, marry him to Val and create wilding Targaryens who take the north from Salsa Stark
does anybody know if the cartographic map from "in heaven's map modifications" is included here? i just see examples from the graphics overhaul. it wouldn't be a deal-breaker for me if the cartographic map wasn't included, but it would be nice to have. i always loved that map when i played ck2 years ago.
is there going to be a new thread? I'm about to finish a little project I've been working on
Hey mergeanon when are you going to update the long problematic elements of the mod with the new lore?
Also someone make a new thread
