Keeps getting reccomended to me but i keep going past looking at it more deeply because its a rimworld clone and i assume it wont even be close to its imitation unless its worked on for half a fricking decade
I'm starting to think that the Rimworld engine (or the Prison Tycoon engine?) is a little too easy to develop for. All this shovelwarre that'll be dead and forgotten in a month is just so dull. And I'm not giving a free-pass to Rimworld either, even that game wasn't much to talk about until it had the better part of a billion patches.
or mods. there's a lot of work it still needs that would need a new game to fix. Pawns wacky as hell skill system, like im great at art, and shooting, but can't build a wall. I mean any pawn with 10+in research is doing that all day, they don't even need other skills. Also the opening of the game being a fricking slog every time. A way to set work pace in exchange for mood/energy usage would be great. Also the mood system needs to be taken more seriously, no one freaks out about not having a chair when survival itself is on the line. Needs bigger events, raids should come from somewhere just not spawn 50 guys out of nowhere ect.
Only good thing about this is that the females have sexualized attributes
There is no combat or anything for the time beign, its like the sims but rimworld
My main criticisms of rimworld are that it feels like a skeleton of a game that only sort of becomes complete with a shit load of mods and that the setting is pure nonsense with no thought put into it (space age tech with neolithic savages and also there are medieval tribes for reasons). I’ll probably give it a shot at some point, it looks more focussed.
Rimworld is one of those "it will always be better if you wait" games. Mods will update, patches/DLC will release and new concepts will be added by developers and modders.
The longer you delay the better the game becomes.
Rimworld came a long way but funnily enough the expansions make the game worse, royalty is a worthless chore and religion system is implemented like shit
rimworld's setting does make sense if you consider that ftl travel takes years and everything is spread apart including technology (hence there are worlds that are in the middle ages)
Nice dolphin porn
I've allways been curious, is the dolphin porn dolphins fricking other dolphins or is it dolphins fricking women?
It's men fricking dolphins.
kinda ugly

Rimworld is fine the way it is and the setting makes perfect sense also buy Tynan's book
Rimworld came a long way but funnily enough the expansions make the game worse, royalty is a worthless chore and religion system is implemented like shit
I think rimworld is fine as it is. You only need to experience it for the story the game writes for you.
Likewise, my first experience without knowledge of what save-scumming and min-maxing is was very unforgettable.
Rimworld have no story just random events that are always the same shit

>early access
yawn
I'll give it a pirate in a few years if it hasn't been abandoned (highly likely) and if I'm not dead (also likely) by then.
>Rimworld clone #7
What were the other 6?
all i want is rimworld with Z levels and multicore threading
>no guns
>no crazy space tech
boring
I'll be sticking to Going Medieval, at least it has Z-levels built into it. Give it a year or 2 and this shit will be popping off.
