i dont know anon it makes plenty of sense to me
makes sense to me anon
Thief because being the dickass thief stealing anything not nailed down is the most fun you can have
Weapon Master is the thinking man's fighter and gives lots of opportunities for clever improvised weapons or being a secret ranged class with thrown weapons
Geomancer always struck me as one of the more practical mages with a lot of non-murderhobo applications along with being the kind of thing that you have to get creative with to really make the best use of the toolkit.
I like the idea of blue mage, but if it's anything like you only learn the techniques by having the monster use its frick off an die technique directly on you might not actually be that great. Ranger seems like it'd be chill, but if I'm going to do that, why not just be a druid instead? Shit gets too hot? Frick this, I'm a bird and I'm out. Anyway screw it, roll let's see it.
>Trap-master
Name the game where placing traps is actually worthwhile and not just a waste of time/resources compared to just smacking things with a sword or using fireballs
Pugilist because you can punch shit to death without clashing with most settings.
Corsair because pirates are cool.
Psion because psychics are also cool.
Also rollan
Warrior because to crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women... is what's best in Life.
Thief because you need a dirty scoundrel to get into places you can't normally get into and sometimes a good quiet knife is all you need.
Wizard. Fireball or a giant Energy Beam.
>Horizon Walker

Sylvain from Three Houses.
Sword and Shield (Though I am often in the mood for spear/mace + shield) Fighter/Warrior - Honestly whatever class helps with that pairing the most i'll probably pick that but I like the more simple options stated.
I feel most heroic and at ease when playing something like that and they're usually always super easy as well and there's no gamble on if the class is outcome is going to be good or not and I like magical weaponry and artifacts to use. It has nothing to do with the male human fighter meme.
I really enjoy a dedicated Berserker class, especially when they're forced to be in your party for awhile. In a long of vidya I've played with berserker classes it's been a type that is easily put on the bench since battles require a lot of mana but they can be really good. Having a good backstory is more rare for berserkers tbh I feel like they're in need of some love.
I also like:
Samurai
Ranger/Hunter
Ninja/Assassin
Psion is fun but rare
This many options seems like something from Suikoden tbh. So generally I would go with the ones listed, a few mage types, and something like the Diplomat depending on the character.
SPELLSWORD >cool sword that's probably engraved with runes and sets enemies on fire when you hit them >medium armor for the perfect combo of protection and movement >utility spells and some ranged to deal with bow using buttholes and flying enemies >tons of buff spells to counter specific enemies by giving your sword a certain element

Do you go for the most lucrative items or are you a trash-hauler/vacuum?
large items need to be valuable to be worth carrying around
if it's small enough to pocket it without being noticed then its full klepto
Dang, I should have said "Grinch Mode" because it's more thematic.

Unrelated to OP's topic, but what would your signature move be in your favorite class?
For me, as someone with Necromancer as their favorite, a spell to summon skeletons that can use elemental magic attack spells would be ideal.

Aside from doubling up, there are two outcomes of each combination.
1. Any "hunter"like class that let's me hold a gun/crossbow and a blade.
2. Any class that fights barehanded and up close.
3. Any thief class where I can steal everything and crit every time. Especially if I can duel wield weapons.
These are basically the only classes I choose in any game. I never go mage or shit like that but I love having them as companions.
