He's a sturdy tank but that's literally all he has, he lacks damage and doesn't have the same kind of self sufficient as Senba, which makes him worse than Senba in specific cases.
The rate ups seem very good, I had an account that I was doing daily logins. Not a single rate up character, not even the 3* ones, time to stockpile currency on my "main" until I get bored playing whit shit characters and then drop the game.
If your units are in range of her, they will not die, period. Her skills are pretty good; She's got an AOE heal that goes off every so often, then a cost down at 60.

I think Darlton or Guilford's Gloucester had a weapon with 3 range, I could have him camp a spawn point like that, but that's my limit. Unlocked a Varis for a Lancelot, but I think I have to dismantle and rebuild one of them instead of being able to switch between weapons, so I'm not giving the stronger Lancelot the Varis nor am I dismantling

The ranged units are annoying but the constant stream of enemies near the end is the hard part for me since it was hard to prevent them from leaking.
I mean, I usually reset the stage before it gets that bad, I let them pass just so I could try finishing the stage with A rank, but a long-range unit got stuck at spawn post-sinkhole, and I had to reset regardless... I could try passing it with fricking B rank but that seems unforgivable.
Give Kallen a Lancelot, and give Jerry the Glasgow. Jeremiah's true strength is spamming his deploy skill. If your units keep dying, I would bump up your healers levels a bit.

They can, but the choices right now are very limited. Suzaku right now just kind of sucks besides his cost abilities, so just giving him a low cost unit to get the points will have to do for right now.
His skill gauge increase is not very useful on 99% of the units right now, except for Lancelot, but there's just better places to put your two.

He gives you this every time he is deployed and he can be deployed roughly every 30 seconds. At awakening 9 his cost is 2, Kallen's Glasgow at remodel 9 has a cost of 0.
You gain net +23 cost every thirty seconds just for placing him and removing him and repeating. Your whole team can be deployed before a mission even hits half way if done correctly.

That will give you a strong core from which you can branch out.
You can then either go into black knights memes, ashford memes, or the Cronelia Trio if you have them as they work well together (especially if you can line them up).
I personally went for Ashford first since Suzaku is a good tank and Striker Milly is deliciously cheap (like Nagisa is for the JLF). Now working on the Cornelia trio since I managed to pull her and Darlton's mech offers extra strategic options.

Honestly yes, C.C. was the only person with whom he was completely honest and who could comfort him in the worst moments while Shirley would have been the one he would have chosen had he lived a completely normal life. Kallen simply found herself in an awkward position, with Lelouch never being completely honest with her.
The least we can say is the only time he used Geass on Kalen was just to get a few questions answered well before Lelouch understood the full potential of his Geass. Everything she did after that was of her own free will.

My 51/60 Cornelia, 4th Awakened, in the Gloucester (Cornelia) KMF, 4th Awakened, managed to earn me all the way up to 10,000+ with her Ultimate in one of the chapter 4 maps.
I wasn't paying attention beforehand to any buff/debuff combos going on, but she managed it for me.
Cornelia or someone with high ranged attack on valis. You could always add attack buffer like 2* shirley. I didn't even try & got the mission after clearing all chapter naturally
5000 means to a single unit. If a special hits multiple units, it tells you the total damage to all units you hit at once when the individual hits didn't exceed that.

Why does this happen?
Much of Kallen's popularity is due more to fanservice than to her role in the story or her relationship with Lelouch, and the anime often puts her in situations where she could easily have been raped. C.C. on the other hand is much more popular as a character and Lelouch's romantic interest, so most people prefer to just make doujins with both of them. And finally it is a fact that Shirley is much less popular than C.C. and Kallen.
I'm looking into the patterns for these reward codes that are given out. It seems to be mostly anime/tcg/mobile game youtubers. Only the first Milly is really "exclusive" you could always use lockets to limit break instead of buying the dupes(and if unit isn't even good, why bother having them at 99 anyway)

He's considered to be broken because of his permanent stealth skill which is unique to him, so even with more broken characters show up you don't find any real replacement for him.
But nowadays they have been spamming shit ton of anti stealth mechanic to counter him that his value isn't as high as when he was just released.

There's the thing babyboy, all these 2 stars shitters might just have better skill set than some higher tiers, and early in the game(right now!!!) they are easier to level/upgrade(that means they do more damage) and you can unlock 99 cap without being a whale also adding up to their early potential.

Thats exactly why, it just got a huge buff from the new Riot Shield weapon.
Its stats were buffed, and cost reduction by 7. Ranged is now a 250 atk 200 def 3 cost unit. And reverse stats for the shield and a 0 cost KMF.

You do have a point but i mix it up. Here's my current setup. Guilford, Suzaku and Orange are in there for their DP regeneration. I've got Darlton, Burai Kallen, Viletta and Tohdoh as well.
I've breezed through alot of content with this team but expert stages and hard expedition modes are still very difficult for me and challenge mode is basically unbeatable. Any advice on how to change my setup?
Change orange to kallen glasgow, suzaku to police or burai kai, give his lancelot to either kallen or cornelia because they can solo a lane with it or change it to varis for villeta/kewel.
Probably need lv60 for hard expedition. Also need 2 healers & 2 anti air (villeta/kewel/minami). The setup is different each stage but you mostly need stealth/stun to deal with suzaku. Also probably better to use zero as boss killer in cheap kmf instead of onfield dps.
Challenge is easier because you just need to deploy some melee in +1 block kmf + healers & deploy ranged attackers in gloucannon/varis

First gacha? It's meant to take you months to get your teams settled. Otherwise you'd burn through all content in the first week and that'd be it.

The problem is that all the hardest stages are the ones where you have extremely limited long range spots on the map.
Did the hard expedition finally. School Lelouch was the solution to stage 7 >casts a 6+ second stun >retreat >you can send him back in after 15 seconds >repeat

Can't say it's guaranteed dead yet when things like western Dragon Quest Tact makes sub $100k ($20-90k from what I saw) a month outside of Japan, and it's lasted for years at this point. It all boils down to how much effort are they putting in for some direct profit, and if they view it as valuable beyond just direct purchases (such as keeping the IP relevant at all abroad with minimal additional investment).
For what battle specifically? Some stages only need 1-2 front-liners and a barrage of anti-air ranged fire, while others want you to protect 4 vertically-stacked blue-points mostly simultaneously.
If you mean a basic template to start and adjust depending on what you're dealing with, though:
1. 3 star Jeremiah in cheap melee KMF. Deploy, get points, maybe he kills something (ranged fricks), withdraw so he can do it again soon.
2. Healer/Mitigation (Low Priority imo): Didn't need one until late Chapter 3, and even that was using 4 star ranged C.C. as a crutch instead of making better tactical decisions. Having one ready doesn't hurt, though. Darlton's Glou + Gaston Knights Glou (from paid shop) are unique attack ranges for consideration.
3. Body blockers x2-4: Some stages will want 4 zones protected at once, but otherwise 2-3 is fine. 4 star Kallen, Cornelia, specialist C.C., Tohdoh, 3 star Suzaku, Senbu. Block (maybe kill) bodies long enough for...
4. Ranged fricks. Kewell/Viletta/Maid!Lelouch are anti-air, Ashford!Lelouch has a repeatable stun, Zero!Lelouch eats %maxHP on deploy. Give them ranged Lancelots, Pure Sutherlands, Zero!Burai, Darlton!Glou, etc, depending on map.
5. Misc frickers: Cost-generators (Guilford/Chiba), on-deploy effects that aren't healing (Clovis apm+, various power boosters), [Faction] Cost-reduction, redeploy time reduction, etc. Maybe they can shoot/fight stuff, but mostly in the team for specific effects.

If you haven't used your training tickets yet, you can spam them on 12 hour Trainings to get the 5 units Trained some exp, as well as a decent chunk of Exp items.
When you're in the main lobby page (with your character of choice and the knightmare frames, where you can select Quests / Enhance / Order, etc), on the right side of the screen is an icon, under the Shop icon, looking like vertical meters/bars, called Training.
Once in Training, you can select your 1st training room, put up to 5 units in it, and set it for a range of (I think) 1-12 hours, and when that time finishes, the 5 units trained get exp, and you get exp items.
While Training is active, you'll have an option to "Finish Now," that consumes green tickets. Doing so completes the training duration no matter how much or little time is left, letting you Finish on the spot (and spam if you have several tickets).
You mostly get Good rating on training, for a 1.0 modifier to exp, but sometimes you can get Great or Excellent for a bigger modifier, and Challenge mode currency also lets you specifically boost gains from Training.
Should also be noted that you can upgrade the training rooms via the item rewards from the non expedition or event challenge quests. It takes one or two clears, but it lets you choose a type or rarity (depending on the challenge stage reward) and level that up to get 1.1, 1.2, etc. exp for all pilots of that criteria who use the room. Not sure if it stacks if a pilot meets multiple multipliers (type and rarity, as well as great success), but I imagine it would.

Put Orange in Kallen's glasgow. His purpose is to generate cost, not actually be on the field unless you need a bit of extra emergency cover later - drop him in, withdraw, repeat whenever he's off cooldown to fund your real units with Kallen's kmf having low cost (0 when maxed).
When you can, unlock the Lancelot's varis weapon - it's the single strongest ranged option in the game right now, with the shield weapon also being great for tanks (skill creates a shield that absorbs hits). Check kmf upgrade tiers as well - the levels that say something like overall +10 att instead of just saying + 10 att means that it then applies to all weapons that kmf uses (i.e. +10 to overall def from shield would also increase sword's defense stat, while basic +10 would be only for that weapon while equipped)
Longterm, ditch the basic glasgows for something with a usable skill/better range. Minami in the pureblood sutherland (ranged) carried me until I got Viletta, and even then is a good back up anti air.

But I replace swimsuit C.C. with New Year C.C. because I don't have that one, R2 Zero Lelouch in his Burai so I could bomb the bosses and occasionally push over the edge, Libra for stealth on C.C. Lelouch and then tried a bunch of different characters in the Lancelot Air to shoot outside of range of everything from the far side of the pit. Code Black Kallen was my eventual success.
I used Rakshata to cut down redeployment, especially for Nunnally and to make sure I had a Libra ready for whenever stealth got removed from Lelouch and C.C.
I don't have Chinese CC. Using appmedia for rolling reference was a bad idea. They're mostly wrong on first few weeks. She's rated lower than Chinese kallen on release.

I got her because I always pull on Kallen banners. Haven't regretted it since shes been pretty useful in a number of stages just for sealing off routes.
She was probably rated low because her strength isn't immediately obvious. But the ability to control and seal off routes has proved extremely useful to me in all Extra difficulty content since.
The other option I've seen for a lot of clears is two Zero Kagero, but I only have one of those.
i'm thinking that tier 5 of challenge 4 is unbalanced. flying enemies have over 2 times usual HP and feels like you need 4 ranged attackers to keep up with their health and spawn rate
Well, the rest of the expedition stages for Extra were nowhere near as bad as 5. I've done 6-9 and all were manageable. Its just the explosions removing stealth that makes that stage hard combined with the sheer numbers it throws at you.

Only two Lancelots, one for Kallen and one for Villetta. I got Cornelia just now though, been using 10-rolls with tickets from taking the "this is the highest odds to get Zero" advice to see if I can get any dupes. She might help with pesky ranged ground units.
I got two Millys, tempted to get another one to bump up those 5 lockets to a usable 20, even though this is likely ill-advisable in all aspects, considering I don't even use this pleasant unit.
Instinct is to buy guns and swords and whatever else needed to awaken my buddies, but I'm worried whether I've overlooked something. I don't even know where you're supposed to get these normally, but I'm always running out.
The standard hard one's last stage is just absurd, I don't know how to possibly clear it even before taking the attrition into account. Right at the start you have 8 enemies heading towards 4 points through 4 paths and then boss Cornelia immediately following that, with a limit of 5 escapes. Even with Jeremiah at only 3 cost I can only just get a fourth unit out by the time Cornelia appears, and then she just immediately bulldozes them without support that I don't have time to get out too, never mind the right side of the map.
You can cheese the lane where she spawns with a gloucster canon and a tanky defender I used todoh since cornelia crits can frick up senba. Right side is easy enough since viletta is squishy and suzaku is in melee mode instead of varis.
Can you do anything with KMF core luminous aside from making them into KMFs? Is there any reason to not just make every core into its respective KMF? I’ve got 2 Guilford frames unassembled that I don’t know what to do with.

Huh, they hid that in the item menu. In that case is your only chance of getting those generic cores converting gacha KMFs? If so it seems like it’d be hard to max awaken any KMF, even the starting Glasgows considering they require that resource too.
Put a strong melee unit in the bottom-left tile facing upwards to block off that section and stop the melee units from interfering with your long-range units hitting the helis.
Is the jump between hard and extra event expedition gigantic? Mission rewards look nice but I had to use 10% of my brain for the final hard stage, so it might be too much for me.
Also unrelated but I have a very important question to jp players, about future(lol) Do they add more stamps?
checked it and VARIS Lancelot will be thrown in the mix so i'd say it will be a pain in the ass but possibly manageable if it's only for the final 2 quests.

I was also getting annoyed by Cornelia's offense there, so I ended up putting the stunner north of my Senbu tank and deployed my own Cornelia on top of Darlton to attack both him+enemy Cornelia from behind while unloading ults.

She seems like a unit that could become extremely strong as we get more Peace Mark characters.
Honestly, Miss X kinda power creeps 2 star Rakshata. She might not have the attack boost on deploy, but most didn't use her for that anyway. She was just used on a free space for Black Knight cost reduction. Miss X's meanwhile works not just for Black knights, but Chinese Federation and JLF tags. Team her up with Orpheus, and you have an extremely strong and cheap stealth unit since in his Byakuen he'll cost 6 at max levels with increased action speed.
Plus, map wide regen is extremely useful.
Glad I invested in her, I have a feeling I'm going to get a lot of use out of her. Especially given Orpheus is such a major part of my Arena team.

Based on events answer? She uses a Portman to chase Suzaku before they all get blown up.

IMO you get the most use out of him as a pseudo blocker (I usually keep him on either the weaponless lance, or the 4 holy swords burai). He's not bad in this spot, and pairs really well with Cornelia in her mech, backing him up.

Still I will say that anon is right, if they put all his attack stats into one category he would be better, imagine if he had 2k melee attack(or 1.5 with better attack speed) unless there's a kmf that switches between range/melee during fights it really is a "waste" of stats(even if they are still better than whatever specialized units we have now)
Anon, if they release completely optimized units, a game enters unabashed meta powercreep mode where the challenges, enemies, and maps all have to scale for a much sharper incline in player power. That makes the new pilots who aren't just fanservice/clap appeals go from good/really beneficial to necessary, and hastens the powercreep death spiral for non whales/lucklets if the game isn't generous with premium currency/rolls and is still courting whales via challenges.

Right now, the global four star Spinzaku is useful since he can run both gun and shield Lancelot, letting you take advantage of its utility to always have a more effective passive cost generator based on the stage (assuming you only have one Lancelot). The skill up he gets for using a Lancelot also really helps shore up his weakness for critical moments.
Oh yeah I know making really optimized units would end in a quicker death spiral. But seeing that suzaku being "unoptimized" and still outperforming specialized units(that exist right now) Is funny to see, I will assume he's just an outlier, I'm too lazy to look through all units on the jp site.
His stats are high but there are pilots with better optimized stats out there, it's the combination of his skills and melee Gawain that makes him broken, since he can spam its KMF skill without worrying about being too low on HP while dealing massive damage because of his skills + his high melee stats.

as opposed to...? i've long finished the event shop and I can only get so far with challenges.
I'm already at the point where my main team is all at max level and I have loads of exp books to spare, and I have loads of training skip tickets too. My dailies are going towards the money stages now which you need shitloads of for high level ascensions.

Finally beat challenge 1 after realizing Todoh is an excellent duelist.
Currently training up Viletta as the copter swarm is something else.
Senba is great at just not dying.
Todoh is great at dueling because his stacked buffs make him a wall while also dealing decent enough damage.
Senba doesn't hit as hard in my experience.
To be fair I am utilizing both.
The JLF troops aren't too bad for low rarities.

Heard good things about the JLF executor and the pureblood guy, but it's just Villetta and either schooLelouch or Zero so far, tempted to replace Zero with either executioner for more damage though.
He's the only Holy Sword who didn't get caught. He was loyal to Lelouch even after discovering Lelouch's identity and sudoku'd his knightmare to stop Rolo.
Urabe was the guy who died in the first episode of r2 saving Lelouch he went out in a good way. Now Senba on the other hand died randomly to make Gino look strong.

This game isn't friendly for early gems hoarder. You need to roll & get your 2* & 3* to lv99 to clear extra. Also it won't get easier to clear new content because they increase the difficulty each update.

I have a good team with above 13k power but i just can't beat the expert resource stage for short range KMF with an S rank. I eliminate 99% of units but as usual one manages to slip through. Why isn't there a limit, let's say destroying 95% of the units gets you an S Rank? You have to be flawless and while it's achievable in most stages, the game just throws 25+ units at you sometimes.

I limit-break 2-stars whenever it's possible to do so with their own lockets, and 1-stars once they hit 70 to get them from 60 to 99. They have a different line for their last limit break (no idea what they're saying) and they are frens. Even Nina and Clovis' buddy are grateful, and after MLB you can start converting their lockets into shards guilt-free. If or when I have my usable units all leveled, I'll start leveling up everyone else.

Yeah, go to Items and scroll to the bottom, you can dispose of lockets individually, or do the group/mass conversion thing, and it straight-up tells you there whether any lockets belong to someone already maxxed. So it's pretty handy to MLB them if you're not hurting on coins. Plus, as someone said, it ticks off the daily quest easily

I find myself utilizing spear more often on melee pilots that aren't defenders.
The extra range is quite nice and it generates DP.
Sword is decent for pure damage and can help against evasive enemies should the need arise.
I was trying to switch to the spear before I ended up getting Pornelia, and I'd say the notion of a spear is way handier simply because of longer reach (and attacking multiple units at once? Check the stats for Guilford's KMF) and you can drop it behind defenders with low DPS. I put her behind Tohdou for some gold-tier daily stage and didn't have to look at their row ever again.

The defenders will set up their defense formation to protect the towers and your job is pushing through it to destroy the towers before the time limit is up, it a reverse of the normal TD gameplay I would say.
Though it isn't exactly as fun as it sounds, characters that can instantly use KMF skill are very important in this mode and if they release Halloween Lelouch this month then you are in for a ride, there were very few characters that could counter his bullshit permanent stealth until much later, and general advice is that you should avoid any buttholes who put him in their defense team.
Darlton is reasonably chunky in my experience.
Still ranged though so don't expect him to be as good as say, Ashford Suzaku.
Why are you looking for a defensive ranger unit?
Why is 2 star Urabe so good? I remodeled Darlton's Gloucester into the Knightmare Lance type and put Urabe in it. He just shreds everything with his attack + action speed bonus, completely shuts down a lane when placed behind Tohdoh. I haven't verified it but it does seem like the Gloucester + Urabe's action speed stacks.
You have to let the right side go. Use a mine to catch the first four KMFs over there as they converge on the defense point, then ignore it until Villetta comes out. Catch her with the gefjun disturber. You also want to time removing the gefjun disturber so you'll be able to reuse it to catch Suzaku.
You need to kill Cornelia and Darlton ASAP so you can retreat your healer and DPS in time to redeploy them to take on Suzaku. If your tanks aren't durable enough to handle what's left after, you'll need to upgrade or reconfigure your team.
Darlton's Gloucester, Toudou's Burai, and Ashford Lelouch are indispensable. You will have to block with strikers at some point.

That's what the mine is for. Only two more glasgows come before her. Expeditions aren't rated, so don't worry about it.
Only shield glasgows come after Darlton, so any durable unit that can block 4 will do. Ashford Suzaku is especially good there. Cornelia is followed by a few more ranged gloucesters. If you have Cornelia, you should be able to take out Darlton immediately, so focus fire on the top route. Cornelia won't be necessary before Darlton comes out. One striker isn't going to be enough for DP nor crowd control. Guilford and Jeremiah will also be necessary.

For starters, pay more attention to skill synergy. I'm assuming you're using Milly because she's was your first engineer, but her main use is buffing Ashford Suzaku and Lelouch. If you're not using either, you would be better off with Shirley as a second healer. This is the end, so it doesn't matter if units die so long as you defeat the bosses. One of the engineers should go to make room for a third striker. Although Guilford is the best striker after Jeremiah and Suzaku, since you're already using two JLF units, you can throw in Chiba instead. Villetta is primarily anti-air, of which none are on this map. Her actual power is about the same as Ashford Lelouch but without his stun/redeploy utility. You might as well throw the VARIS on Suzaku since you need your strikers to fight either way and he's useless in combat without it, and that leaves a space for gloucannon on Lelouch. In any case, you need to invest in other units.

I wouldn't recommend Darlton unless you don't have school Lelouch. He's not bad, but it's his KMF that's important. Also, you only need either Guilford or Chiba for now. Which depends on whether you want to replace Senba or Toudou with Suzaku. Villetta is "always good" in that basically every map has helicopters, but this one doesn't. She's still strong outside her specialty but interchangeable with most ranged units. I think it's optimal to save shards for 4* seasonals. Everyone's levels should be sufficient.

People have been praising Senba, but Touhou has a higher level cap rn and it'd be comfy for Suzaku to do the same job as Toudou together. And I have school Lelouch but haven't used him in a while. Seasonals being folks like Halloween Lelouch who'll apparently never come back? I'll do as you say and stick to auto-completing Normal until people are leveled, biding my time, thank you!

The only one there that seems limited in accessibility is the Basic Burai.
In general it's good to keep one excess copy of each KMF as a cube in case of Emergencies.

So from what I've gathered, it's about defending each of your towers, especially your main one. Your opponent can summon units on tiles that are not covered by your towers, and gains placeable spots by destroying said towers. pic related is each towers "control zone".

I did not check the rewards at all or think about it much, but my intuition told me for some reason that it was worthless to bully that poor 6k player. Whereas the rewards are for like, number of units and towers destroyed? It lets you refresh the listing every 3 hours, it's probably best to check and refresh periodically throughout the day to find the most bulliable players instead of just excitedly doing 3 bouts immediately like I did

What's a good defensive lineup? I ended up having all of my units defend the main and penultimate tower, which turns out is probably a bad idea. But spreading units out seemed unwise at the time
Frick, I've been cutting it pretty close by waiting and deploying a bunch of units at once. >poor Jeremiah has instantly died every time
Hard to say after just one day, but one thing I noticed is that if you place a unit directly below the main tower, it'll frick over Cornelia's KMF if it gets deployed in the first section, because it'll stop on the path to the left of it and try to attack it from across the gap instead of proceeding downwards, and without the other towers destroyed first it won't do any damage, so it has to be withdrawn and redeployed.
I'm not quite sure what you mean, where should I avoid placing Cornelia? I'm confused...

If a melee mech with 2 range, such as Cornelia's, approaches the green tile from the left, and there's an enemy on the red tile, it'll try to attack the red enemy instead of the tower and will get stuck there.

Not the other anon, by my Cornelia didn't have issues when I placed her on the green tile instead of her approaching from the left. I made mine face the red dot, and it killed the enemy KMF then the tower.
Finished simultaneous operation event. Used all my strikers& guardians. Need to be careful next time so I don't use them on trivial stages because searching &redoing used stage was pita. This event isn't friendly for newcomer, they could missing a lot of lockets because lack of units

Well they fricked up hard, you're supposed to get a button to skip the stage again using the acquired result of the event battle's drops, but there's no actual button there to do so, they either forgot to actually implement it or it's bugged. Do not go all in on stamina for the event until it's fixed.

Why is the auto team feature so moronic, putting Jeremiah on a long range KMF when his stats are all short range? As a dumb ass, I got no idea what team I should be building.
In general you want a couple striker to generate DP.
Then some front line to block routes.
Then some DPS to support that front line.
After that splash in healing/utility as needed.
The exact amounts vary depending on how many routes you need to block and whether you can place DPS to cover your frontliners.
Mechanics get added as you progress but this is the general foundation of team building.

NTA. Jeremiah is not a combat unit. You summon him for free cost and then make him retreat and summon him again later for more free cost. He shouldn't spend more than 10 seconds on the battle field total.

Funny/Bad feature to watch out for in Arena: If you Withdraw a unit that is in the middle of an enemy's attack animation (Jeremiah, in this specific example), the next time you deploy that unit, the enemy will apparently remember that they were attacking them, and, regardless of distance and attack range, will continue their attack.
As seen: Withdrawing my Jeremiah, then redeploying him 3 tiles north of the enemy, above the 2nd Tower, and watching as the enemy performed its attack animation and my Jeremiah took the damage, complete with blue damage number pop up.

Event's fixed so here's how it works for the people that have trouble reading. >Complete all event story stages and challenge battle 3 with S rank / 3 stars >Get the cheapest event Kallen before anything else >Play challenge battle 3 using her and the other two event characters in your party if you have them >RNG will give you gold units throughout the stage, drops will depend on this >In the final results screen showing item drops there'll be a new button to skip with that result >Do a few runs to figure out what a good result is with your party members (eg for Cecille and Kallen only, getting 15 drops is a good amount, if you only get 10 try again) >Once you get a good number, use the skip button, despite the notice saying otherwise you can refresh stamina in this screen >Load up on stamina and skip until you hit the 100 missions played milestone >Depending on how many drops you settled on for your skip you may or may not have enough to get all the Kallens from the shop or to buy whatever else if you don't care about maxing her out (she isn't good) >Make sure you buy the large pizzas at least

Oh right, and the more skips you do at once the longer it takes to process the results, if you do 50+ skips at once it will literally take several minutes to resolve, so you're probably better off only doing around 20 skips at a time for stability. You can skip again after doing each skip until you go back to the main menus.

He's a sturdy tank but that's literally all he has, he lacks damage and doesn't have the same kind of self sufficient as Senba, which makes him worse than Senba in specific cases.
The rate ups seem very good, I had an account that I was doing daily logins. Not a single rate up character, not even the 3* ones, time to stockpile currency on my "main" until I get bored playing whit shit characters and then drop the game.

If your units are in range of her, they will not die, period. Her skills are pretty good; She's got an AOE heal that goes off every so often, then a cost down at 60.

Give Kallen a Lancelot, and give Jerry the Glasgow. Jeremiah's true strength is spamming his deploy skill. If your units keep dying, I would bump up your healers levels a bit.
Also, give Suzaku a low cost unit (I usually give him the Knight police). Then give Villetta a VARIS lance

Nope. Literally the strikers job is to generate cost, and to get your main gameplan going.

They can, but the choices right now are very limited. Suzaku right now just kind of sucks besides his cost abilities, so just giving him a low cost unit to get the points will have to do for right now.
His skill gauge increase is not very useful on 99% of the units right now, except for Lancelot, but there's just better places to put your two.

I use Orange in the melee Lancelot, it helps getting a decent melee unit out right at the start. It'll probably change down the line once everyone else gets levelled and upgraded too but right now it seems to be my best option.

You gain net +23 cost every thirty seconds just for placing him and removing him and repeating. Your whole team can be deployed before a mission even hits half way if done correctly.

My 51/60 Cornelia, 4th Awakened, in the Gloucester (Cornelia) KMF, 4th Awakened, managed to earn me all the way up to 10,000+ with her Ultimate in one of the chapter 4 maps.
I wasn't paying attention beforehand to any buff/debuff combos going on, but she managed it for me.
Cornelia or someone with high ranged attack on valis. You could always add attack buffer like 2* shirley. I didn't even try & got the mission after clearing all chapter naturally
5000 means to a single unit. If a special hits multiple units, it tells you the total damage to all units you hit at once when the individual hits didn't exceed that.
Well that sucks, the highest single target hit I remember seeing was only like 3k.

He's considered to be broken because of his permanent stealth skill which is unique to him, so even with more broken characters show up you don't find any real replacement for him.
But nowadays they have been spamming shit ton of anti stealth mechanic to counter him that his value isn't as high as when he was just released.

Its stats were buffed, and cost reduction by 7. Ranged is now a 250 atk 200 def 3 cost unit. And reverse stats for the shield and a 0 cost KMF.

Limiting the number of times you can farm for exp items per day is utterly moronic considering some of the bullshit difficulty spikes in this game. Leveling up your characters is unnecessarily tedious.
Forget the EXP items, you only get enough money per day to do ONE pilot OR KMF upgrade.
You can clear everything beside expedition expert with lv60-70 units.

Higher rarity doesn't mean it's better everytime. I see a lot of people struggled with helicopter stages because they use CC/lelouch instead of lower rarity anti air units. Or didn't use stealth/stun properly. Like using school Lelouch as dps instead of stun bot
You do have a point but i mix it up. Here's my current setup. Guilford, Suzaku and Orange are in there for their DP regeneration. I've got Darlton, Burai Kallen, Viletta and Tohdoh as well.
I've breezed through alot of content with this team but expert stages and hard expedition modes are still very difficult for me and challenge mode is basically unbeatable. Any advice on how to change my setup?
Change orange to kallen glasgow, suzaku to police or burai kai, give his lancelot to either kallen or cornelia because they can solo a lane with it or change it to varis for villeta/kewel.
Probably need lv60 for hard expedition. Also need 2 healers & 2 anti air (villeta/kewel/minami). The setup is different each stage but you mostly need stealth/stun to deal with suzaku. Also probably better to use zero as boss killer in cheap kmf instead of onfield dps.
Challenge is easier because you just need to deploy some melee in +1 block kmf + healers & deploy ranged attackers in gloucannon/varis
You must be Lelouch himself. I have basically all 4 star characters + Knightmares released so far but still struggle due to being under leveled. Capping the number of times we are able to farm for resources per day is moronic.
First gacha? It's meant to take you months to get your teams settled. Otherwise you'd burn through all content in the first week and that'd be it.
The problem is that all the hardest stages are the ones where you have extremely limited long range spots on the map.

Cafe Challenge 2 cleared, was pure BS. Took 3 fricking AA units in top lane to stop them from leaking.
Also I hate the cinematic cut-ins and battles in these challenge fights, it just doesn't work trying to time manual skill usages.
I only cleared Challenge 1 because I put the speed to slow so I could see when shit was breaking through and use long range skills.
I think it's always useful to do this when the screen starts overflowing with enemies.

From appmagic, it looks like jp's done somewhat well with $20mil total revenue, and $500k last month. Comparatively, the Taiwan/Hong Kong version sits at $200k total and $20k over the last month. Western release is less specific on the site than what
showed, just saying >$100k.
Can't say it's guaranteed dead yet when things like western Dragon Quest Tact makes sub $100k ($20-90k from what I saw) a month outside of Japan, and it's lasted for years at this point. It all boils down to how much effort are they putting in for some direct profit, and if they view it as valuable beyond just direct purchases (such as keeping the IP relevant at all abroad with minimal additional investment).

For what battle specifically? Some stages only need 1-2 front-liners and a barrage of anti-air ranged fire, while others want you to protect 4 vertically-stacked blue-points mostly simultaneously.
If you mean a basic template to start and adjust depending on what you're dealing with, though:
1. 3 star Jeremiah in cheap melee KMF. Deploy, get points, maybe he kills something (ranged fricks), withdraw so he can do it again soon.
2. Healer/Mitigation (Low Priority imo): Didn't need one until late Chapter 3, and even that was using 4 star ranged C.C. as a crutch instead of making better tactical decisions. Having one ready doesn't hurt, though. Darlton's Glou + Gaston Knights Glou (from paid shop) are unique attack ranges for consideration.
3. Body blockers x2-4: Some stages will want 4 zones protected at once, but otherwise 2-3 is fine. 4 star Kallen, Cornelia, specialist C.C., Tohdoh, 3 star Suzaku, Senbu. Block (maybe kill) bodies long enough for...
4. Ranged fricks. Kewell/Viletta/Maid!Lelouch are anti-air, Ashford!Lelouch has a repeatable stun, Zero!Lelouch eats %maxHP on deploy. Give them ranged Lancelots, Pure Sutherlands, Zero!Burai, Darlton!Glou, etc, depending on map.
5. Misc frickers: Cost-generators (Guilford/Chiba), on-deploy effects that aren't healing (Clovis apm+, various power boosters), [Faction] Cost-reduction, redeploy time reduction, etc. Maybe they can shoot/fight stuff, but mostly in the team for specific effects.

If you haven't used your training tickets yet, you can spam them on 12 hour Trainings to get the 5 units Trained some exp, as well as a decent chunk of Exp items.
I may be moronic but how do I use those?
When you're in the main lobby page (with your character of choice and the knightmare frames, where you can select Quests / Enhance / Order, etc), on the right side of the screen is an icon, under the Shop icon, looking like vertical meters/bars, called Training.
Once in Training, you can select your 1st training room, put up to 5 units in it, and set it for a range of (I think) 1-12 hours, and when that time finishes, the 5 units trained get exp, and you get exp items.
While Training is active, you'll have an option to "Finish Now," that consumes green tickets. Doing so completes the training duration no matter how much or little time is left, letting you Finish on the spot (and spam if you have several tickets).
You mostly get Good rating on training, for a 1.0 modifier to exp, but sometimes you can get Great or Excellent for a bigger modifier, and Challenge mode currency also lets you specifically boost gains from Training.
Ok thanks I'll see how much EXP that gives.
Should also be noted that you can upgrade the training rooms via the item rewards from the non expedition or event challenge quests. It takes one or two clears, but it lets you choose a type or rarity (depending on the challenge stage reward) and level that up to get 1.1, 1.2, etc. exp for all pilots of that criteria who use the room. Not sure if it stacks if a pilot meets multiple multipliers (type and rarity, as well as great success), but I imagine it would.

Put Orange in Kallen's glasgow. His purpose is to generate cost, not actually be on the field unless you need a bit of extra emergency cover later - drop him in, withdraw, repeat whenever he's off cooldown to fund your real units with Kallen's kmf having low cost (0 when maxed).
When you can, unlock the Lancelot's varis weapon - it's the single strongest ranged option in the game right now, with the shield weapon also being great for tanks (skill creates a shield that absorbs hits). Check kmf upgrade tiers as well - the levels that say something like overall +10 att instead of just saying + 10 att means that it then applies to all weapons that kmf uses (i.e. +10 to overall def from shield would also increase sword's defense stat, while basic +10 would be only for that weapon while equipped)
Longterm, ditch the basic glasgows for something with a usable skill/better range. Minami in the pureblood sutherland (ranged) carried me until I got Viletta, and even then is a good back up anti air.

But I replace swimsuit C.C. with New Year C.C. because I don't have that one, R2 Zero Lelouch in his Burai so I could bomb the bosses and occasionally push over the edge, Libra for stealth on C.C. Lelouch and then tried a bunch of different characters in the Lancelot Air to shoot outside of range of everything from the far side of the pit. Code Black Kallen was my eventual success.
I used Rakshata to cut down redeployment, especially for Nunnally and to make sure I had a Libra ready for whenever stealth got removed from Lelouch and C.C.

I got her because I always pull on Kallen banners. Haven't regretted it since shes been pretty useful in a number of stages just for sealing off routes.
She was probably rated low because her strength isn't immediately obvious. But the ability to control and seal off routes has proved extremely useful to me in all Extra difficulty content since.
The other option I've seen for a lot of clears is two Zero Kagero, but I only have one of those.

i'm thinking that tier 5 of challenge 4 is unbalanced. flying enemies have over 2 times usual HP and feels like you need 4 ranged attackers to keep up with their health and spawn rate

Well, the rest of the expedition stages for Extra were nowhere near as bad as 5. I've done 6-9 and all were manageable. Its just the explosions removing stealth that makes that stage hard combined with the sheer numbers it throws at you.

Only two Lancelots, one for Kallen and one for Villetta. I got Cornelia just now though, been using 10-rolls with tickets from taking the "this is the highest odds to get Zero" advice to see if I can get any dupes. She might help with pesky ranged ground units.
I got two Millys, tempted to get another one to bump up those 5 lockets to a usable 20, even though this is likely ill-advisable in all aspects, considering I don't even use this pleasant unit.
Instinct is to buy guns and swords and whatever else needed to awaken my buddies, but I'm worried whether I've overlooked something. I don't even know where you're supposed to get these normally, but I'm always running out.

The standard hard one's last stage is just absurd, I don't know how to possibly clear it even before taking the attrition into account. Right at the start you have 8 enemies heading towards 4 points through 4 paths and then boss Cornelia immediately following that, with a limit of 5 escapes. Even with Jeremiah at only 3 cost I can only just get a fourth unit out by the time Cornelia appears, and then she just immediately bulldozes them without support that I don't have time to get out too, never mind the right side of the map.
What does the map look like out of curiosity?

In the lane Cornelia spawns in, that's where I like to put the Gefjun Disturber. It last's long enough get a healer out to keep my own Cornelia alive.
You can cheese the lane where she spawns with a gloucster canon and a tanky defender I used todoh since cornelia crits can frick up senba. Right side is easy enough since viletta is squishy and suzaku is in melee mode instead of varis.

Honestly, Miss X kinda power creeps 2 star Rakshata. She might not have the attack boost on deploy, but most didn't use her for that anyway. She was just used on a free space for Black Knight cost reduction. Miss X's meanwhile works not just for Black knights, but Chinese Federation and JLF tags. Team her up with Orpheus, and you have an extremely strong and cheap stealth unit since in his Byakuen he'll cost 6 at max levels with increased action speed.
Plus, map wide regen is extremely useful.
Glad I invested in her, I have a feeling I'm going to get a lot of use out of her. Especially given Orpheus is such a major part of my Arena team.

Generalists will always fail in games like these. With spread stats, his dps suffers in both long and close range. IMO you get the most use out of him as a pseudo blocker (I usually keep him on either the weaponless lance, or the 4 holy swords burai). He's not bad in this spot, and pairs really well with Cornelia in her mech, backing him up.

Damn, I assumed most of the powercreep would be in busted skills and kmf's, not just pumping up pilot stats.
Still I will say that anon is right, if they put all his attack stats into one category he would be better, imagine if he had 2k melee attack(or 1.5 with better attack speed) unless there's a kmf that switches between range/melee during fights it really is a "waste" of stats(even if they are still better than whatever specialized units we have now)
Anon, if they release completely optimized units, a game enters unabashed meta powercreep mode where the challenges, enemies, and maps all have to scale for a much sharper incline in player power. That makes the new pilots who aren't just fanservice/clap appeals go from good/really beneficial to necessary, and hastens the powercreep death spiral for non whales/lucklets if the game isn't generous with premium currency/rolls and is still courting whales via challenges.
Right now, the global four star Spinzaku is useful since he can run both gun and shield Lancelot, letting you take advantage of its utility to always have a more effective passive cost generator based on the stage (assuming you only have one Lancelot). The skill up he gets for using a Lancelot also really helps shore up his weakness for critical moments.
Oh yeah I know making really optimized units would end in a quicker death spiral. But seeing that suzaku being "unoptimized" and still outperforming specialized units(that exist right now) Is funny to see, I will assume he's just an outlier, I'm too lazy to look through all units on the jp site.
His stats are high but there are pilots with better optimized stats out there, it's the combination of his skills and melee Gawain that makes him broken, since he can spam its KMF skill without worrying about being too low on HP while dealing massive damage because of his skills + his high melee stats.

I think dailies are the best way to go about it.
I can tell that... i'm talking when you're out of daily uses and have stam left the rest of the day you ignorant sow.
Anecdotal, but I seemed to have better rates for the later stages. It's a small sample too since I only ran them a few times with extra stamina back before the maid event started.
i'll probably test 60 stam of chapter 4 vs. 60 stam of chapter 1 and see what drops more for a week.

Senba is great at just not dying.
Todoh is great at dueling because his stacked buffs make him a wall while also dealing decent enough damage.
Senba doesn't hit as hard in my experience.

This game isn't friendly for early gems hoarder. You need to roll & get your 2* & 3* to lv99 to clear extra. Also it won't get easier to clear new content because they increase the difficulty each update.

I have a good team with above 13k power but i just can't beat the expert resource stage for short range KMF with an S rank. I eliminate 99% of units but as usual one manages to slip through. Why isn't there a limit, let's say destroying 95% of the units gets you an S Rank? You have to be flawless and while it's achievable in most stages, the game just throws 25+ units at you sometimes.

I limit-break 2-stars whenever it's possible to do so with their own lockets, and 1-stars once they hit 70 to get them from 60 to 99. They have a different line for their last limit break (no idea what they're saying) and they are frens. Even Nina and Clovis' buddy are grateful, and after MLB you can start converting their lockets into shards guilt-free. If or when I have my usable units all leveled, I'll start leveling up everyone else.

Yeah, go to Items and scroll to the bottom, you can dispose of lockets individually, or do the group/mass conversion thing, and it straight-up tells you there whether any lockets belong to someone already maxxed. So it's pretty handy to MLB them if you're not hurting on coins. Plus, as someone said, it ticks off the daily quest easily

Spear, but not because of its stats. Its an excellent utility unit because it costs 2 at max upgrades and has a range of 2.

I find myself utilizing spear more often on melee pilots that aren't defenders.
The extra range is quite nice and it generates DP.
Sword is decent for pure damage and can help against evasive enemies should the need arise.
I was trying to switch to the spear before I ended up getting Pornelia, and I'd say the notion of a spear is way handier simply because of longer reach (and attacking multiple units at once? Check the stats for Guilford's KMF) and you can drop it behind defenders with low DPS. I put her behind Tohdou for some gold-tier daily stage and didn't have to look at their row ever again.
Spear only hits one target for Guilford's mech.

The defenders will set up their defense formation to protect the towers and your job is pushing through it to destroy the towers before the time limit is up, it a reverse of the normal TD gameplay I would say.
Though it isn't exactly as fun as it sounds, characters that can instantly use KMF skill are very important in this mode and if they release Halloween Lelouch this month then you are in for a ride, there were very few characters that could counter his bullshit permanent stealth until much later, and general advice is that you should avoid any buttholes who put him in their defense team.

Darlton is reasonably chunky in my experience.
Still ranged though so don't expect him to be as good as say, Ashford Suzaku.

Why is 2 star Urabe so good? I remodeled Darlton's Gloucester into the Knightmare Lance type and put Urabe in it. He just shreds everything with his attack + action speed bonus, completely shuts down a lane when placed behind Tohdoh. I haven't verified it but it does seem like the Gloucester + Urabe's action speed stacks.

You have to let the right side go. Use a mine to catch the first four KMFs over there as they converge on the defense point, then ignore it until Villetta comes out. Catch her with the gefjun disturber. You also want to time removing the gefjun disturber so you'll be able to reuse it to catch Suzaku.
You need to kill Cornelia and Darlton ASAP so you can retreat your healer and DPS in time to redeploy them to take on Suzaku. If your tanks aren't durable enough to handle what's left after, you'll need to upgrade or reconfigure your team.
Darlton's Gloucester, Toudou's Burai, and Ashford Lelouch are indispensable. You will have to block with strikers at some point.

That's what the mine is for. Only two more glasgows come before her. Expeditions aren't rated, so don't worry about it.
Only shield glasgows come after Darlton, so any durable unit that can block 4 will do. Ashford Suzaku is especially good there. Cornelia is followed by a few more ranged gloucesters. If you have Cornelia, you should be able to take out Darlton immediately, so focus fire on the top route. Cornelia won't be necessary before Darlton comes out. One striker isn't going to be enough for DP nor crowd control. Guilford and Jeremiah will also be necessary.

For starters, pay more attention to skill synergy. I'm assuming you're using Milly because she's was your first engineer, but her main use is buffing Ashford Suzaku and Lelouch. If you're not using either, you would be better off with Shirley as a second healer. This is the end, so it doesn't matter if units die so long as you defeat the bosses. One of the engineers should go to make room for a third striker. Although Guilford is the best striker after Jeremiah and Suzaku, since you're already using two JLF units, you can throw in Chiba instead. Villetta is primarily anti-air, of which none are on this map. Her actual power is about the same as Ashford Lelouch but without his stun/redeploy utility. You might as well throw the VARIS on Suzaku since you need your strikers to fight either way and he's useless in combat without it, and that leaves a space for gloucannon on Lelouch. In any case, you need to invest in other units.
I realized the Milly thing at some point, but Shirley was like 10 levels lower than Milly
I've also recently obtained Cornelia and Euphy, so I'm still getting used to how they work.

I wouldn't recommend Darlton unless you don't have school Lelouch. He's not bad, but it's his KMF that's important. Also, you only need either Guilford or Chiba for now. Which depends on whether you want to replace Senba or Toudou with Suzaku. Villetta is "always good" in that basically every map has helicopters, but this one doesn't. She's still strong outside her specialty but interchangeable with most ranged units. I think it's optimal to save shards for 4* seasonals. Everyone's levels should be sufficient.
People have been praising Senba, but Touhou has a higher level cap rn and it'd be comfy for Suzaku to do the same job as Toudou together. And I have school Lelouch but haven't used him in a while. Seasonals being folks like Halloween Lelouch who'll apparently never come back? I'll do as you say and stick to auto-completing Normal until people are leveled, biding my time, thank you!

The only one there that seems limited in accessibility is the Basic Burai.

So from what I've gathered, it's about defending each of your towers, especially your main one. Your opponent can summon units on tiles that are not covered by your towers, and gains placeable spots by destroying said towers. pic related is each towers "control zone".

I did some 4*’s like Ashford Lelouch through generic lockets and maxed out 3* and below through rolls. I spent a few of the story lockets here and there though, like for maxing out Jeremiah pretty quickly.

This is the first gacha I've seen where it's actually best in terms of both difficulty and rewards to pick the weakest enemy team you see.
I did not check the rewards at all or think about it much, but my intuition told me for some reason that it was worthless to bully that poor 6k player. Whereas the rewards are for like, number of units and towers destroyed? It lets you refresh the listing every 3 hours, it's probably best to check and refresh periodically throughout the day to find the most bulliable players instead of just excitedly doing 3 bouts immediately like I did

What's a good defensive lineup? I ended up having all of my units defend the main and penultimate tower, which turns out is probably a bad idea. But spreading units out seemed unwise at the time
Frick, I've been cutting it pretty close by waiting and deploying a bunch of units at once.

Hard to say after just one day, but one thing I noticed is that if you place a unit directly below the main tower, it'll frick over Cornelia's KMF if it gets deployed in the first section, because it'll stop on the path to the left of it and try to attack it from across the gap instead of proceeding downwards, and without the other towers destroyed first it won't do any damage, so it has to be withdrawn and redeployed.

If a melee mech with 2 range, such as Cornelia's, approaches the green tile from the left, and there's an enemy on the red tile, it'll try to attack the red enemy instead of the tower and will get stuck there.
Not the other anon, by my Cornelia didn't have issues when I placed her on the green tile instead of her approaching from the left. I made mine face the red dot, and it killed the enemy KMF then the tower.

Well they fricked up hard, you're supposed to get a button to skip the stage again using the acquired result of the event battle's drops, but there's no actual button there to do so, they either forgot to actually implement it or it's bugged. Do not go all in on stamina for the event until it's fixed.
I was actually looking for it and couldn't find it either, I thought it was some obscure function you had to enable somewhere but I'm glad to find out it just doesn't work. Surely there'll be some compensation for that...

Why is the auto team feature so moronic, putting Jeremiah on a long range KMF when his stats are all short range? As a dumb ass, I got no idea what team I should be building.
In general you want a couple striker to generate DP.
Then some front line to block routes.
Then some DPS to support that front line.
After that splash in healing/utility as needed.
The exact amounts vary depending on how many routes you need to block and whether you can place DPS to cover your frontliners.
Mechanics get added as you progress but this is the general foundation of team building.

NTA. Jeremiah is not a combat unit. You summon him for free cost and then make him retreat and summon him again later for more free cost. He shouldn't spend more than 10 seconds on the battle field total.

Funny/Bad feature to watch out for in Arena: If you Withdraw a unit that is in the middle of an enemy's attack animation (Jeremiah, in this specific example), the next time you deploy that unit, the enemy will apparently remember that they were attacking them, and, regardless of distance and attack range, will continue their attack.
As seen: Withdrawing my Jeremiah, then redeploying him 3 tiles north of the enemy, above the 2nd Tower, and watching as the enemy performed its attack animation and my Jeremiah took the damage, complete with blue damage number pop up.
So, beware, I guess?

Event's fixed so here's how it works for the people that have trouble reading.
>Complete all event story stages and challenge battle 3 with S rank / 3 stars
>Get the cheapest event Kallen before anything else
>Play challenge battle 3 using her and the other two event characters in your party if you have them
>RNG will give you gold units throughout the stage, drops will depend on this
>In the final results screen showing item drops there'll be a new button to skip with that result
>Do a few runs to figure out what a good result is with your party members (eg for Cecille and Kallen only, getting 15 drops is a good amount, if you only get 10 try again)
>Once you get a good number, use the skip button, despite the notice saying otherwise you can refresh stamina in this screen
>Load up on stamina and skip until you hit the 100 missions played milestone
>Depending on how many drops you settled on for your skip you may or may not have enough to get all the Kallens from the shop or to buy whatever else if you don't care about maxing her out (she isn't good)
>Make sure you buy the large pizzas at least
That's it.
Oh right, and the more skips you do at once the longer it takes to process the results, if you do 50+ skips at once it will literally take several minutes to resolve, so you're probably better off only doing around 20 skips at a time for stability. You can skip again after doing each skip until you go back to the main menus.
