>psshh nothing personnel, kid..
>dis homie is 24/7 on Ganker and has no life
man pc trannies are really mentally unstable
>insure collection
>retro game market goes bust and the collections worth is now a fraction of what it was
>money stolen
>retro game market goes bust
sure but not nintendo
if his collection meant so much to him, why didn't he insure it?
You really think insurance would pay out?
nta but I don't know what you're on about. My property insurance is $151,650 (not to be confused with dwelling insurance, $202,000), so if anything happened to my house, I'd be covered for that much. My game collection is only worth $33,110, and when tallied up with my books/ videos/ figures/ other collectibles, it's $54,660, barely a third of the property insurance. If anything happened to my house, I'd be fine in terms of re-purchasing everything. It would just be a pain in the ass, so I'm really hoping nothing happens.
Before anyone asks, $1,192 a year, State Farm.
f
old hardware and games aren't retro. it's vintage. retro game is when someone makes new game that emulates style of old game.
>i played Mario Kart after i lost my wife to suicide
im waiting for the ps3 store to die so i can sell all this useless shit. it's time to embrace our digital future
Even if by a sheer miracle of nintendo bootliickers willing complete emulator removal into existence, flash carts and disk emulators exist for pretty much every console now.
As of the last time I took inventory (a few months ago) between PriceCharting and eBay, for all my games and consoles, I could sell it all for 33,110 US dollarbucks, but I'm not going to.
just sell it. you're not gonna play any of it
Never ever. I've played the shit out of everything pictured, and I still do.
One glance at your pic and I knew you play them, homosexuals with 0 taste blank stare at full set rom folders and assume anyone collecting must do the same
Gets NGB and 2 in there frick sigma. Also do you intentionally not own curse of darkness because I thought it was shit compared to lament of innocence
I actually owned NGB until a year or so ago when I sold it, realized I hadn't touched it in forever and that I had put more time into Ligma. I know Ligma 2 cuts out NG2's gore but I really do enjoy not getting spammed with incendiary shurikens from offscreen. I do indeed not own Curse of Darkness on purpose. I wanted to like it but
>1/3 of the game didn't have music, just echo-ey hallways. Give me something to listen to, this is a Castlevania game.
>The bosses were either mentally moronic or ridiculously frustrating (like Saint Germain, FRICK YOU OLD MAN, and to a lesser extent, Trevor)
>Innocent Devil AI was moronic
I owned it for a couple years back in the day, beat it once, and sold it.
I thought the maps were also even more "hallway" designed than LoD, but people usually seem to place CoD higher as far as 3D CVs go and I never understood why.
>Be miserable always, like me!
Yeah, I don't get it either. Lament was actually my first Castlevania game.
wipe your mouth when you're done slurping that anon
dunno if you're still here anon but what are those large boxes in the bottom left of of the Souls series? I never knew DS1 came in a fat box on ps3.
Yeah, DS1 had a day-one edition at no extra cost, had a sick tin case and hardcover mini-artbook. Here's a better pic from google.
Oh, if you meant the brownish box to the left of DaS, that's the extra goodies from the Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night kickstarter.
>Phantom Dust, VA11-HALL-A and Otogi 1 and 2
pretty based taste
It's not worth the price. Only sell if you're in a real pickle.
I hope you're also protecting your home with proper security.
>It's not worth the price.
It literally is, though. Technically more, since PriceCharting estimates are on the lower end. Regardless, I only tend to sell a few games a year, if even that. Never selling off all my stuff, at least until I'm elderly and feeling able to let go of it. But for now, I enjoy my collections.
My big ticket items. I also have the Yellow and Silver boxes + manuals in mint stored away.
Only worth about a grand in total, but I'm happy with them.
Is it too late to start collecting games?
For anything before the 7th gen? Yes.
Is it worth buying 7th gen since everything has patches and DLC and shit?
Depends on the genres you're looking for.
try Xbox 360 those games are still selling cheap. ps3 games play worse and are usually a lot more expensive
I hope all you hoardergays have a nice day
You are the reason nobody can play shit like silent hill 2 and castlevania SOTN on original hardware
you can pirate on PS2 easily.
>nobody can play shit like silent hill 2
You had plenty of time to get used to the idea. ENG supported PAL versions of the director's cut were still $70 4 years ago.
did they?
I'm sitting on some old shit. maybe its time to sell.
stocked up
