I hope this game runs exactly like Part 1 does on the PS5 so they don't have to get all cute with the loading screens like on the PS4. They don't need to push the graphical fidelty any higher, game looks great with the PS5 upgrade getting rid of the low texture popins
Yeah but the time jannies were what was keeping the characters from changing the story. Now they're free to make the story go in a wildly different direction. Sephiroth is claiming he killed Tifa at Nibelheim. Also the visuals look uglier than both XVI and XV.

I played ff7 at release. And I recently replayed it after playing 7r. And I have to say I really prefer 7r. The original seems so breakneck in its pacing. Which isn't bad, but I really love the extra characterization the remake affords. I love all the additional bits.

How the frick is controlling Nanaki gonna work, some basic ass claw claw tail combos and special move is spin to win? I cannot think of a fun play style for the lil homie

he was also one of the better base magicians you could get so maybe he could get bonuses for casting offensive magic while your biting onto something i dunno
Along with Vincent, Aerith and Cloud he's the best magician you can have iirc
Simply reprising his high magic will probably be enough, everybody's individual stat growth largely reflects what they had in the PSX game, and modifiers for physical vs. magical materia equipped making you a better spellcaster or a better warrior still applies
