I'll have you know dark side is actually pretty fun, the starting quests and dialog was pure charm because it was done before the gaming industry and gamers themselves were tainted by the boogeyman and ESG
understandable, Armoured Princess is just so good though, I didn't mind dark side. That being said one of my friends hated King's Bounty 2, what was bad about it?
I don't know, I was excited about it but knowing "revival" of franchises the past few years I decided to wait for it to come out and see videos and reviews, everything shows the gameplay is shit. It's a pitty because neither Spellforce 3 did take off and there are no fantasy games coming out that have this charm anymore, only anal gape 3 and wow expansions

Sounds exaggerated but it's fun. I don't like the overworld in games like mount and blade where it feels like a shoehorned shitty transportation method. I'd rather it be loading screen to loading screen from town to town to battle rather than this bland crap. KB overworld feels alive
yeah overall Kings bounty is good fun, I need to do a different build but I'm a shitter that finds anything not at normal difficulty really hard.
How long does it take to beat one of the games? I remember going until I just stopped after a long itme and started playing some mmoshit
oh man they're long, I think my first complete was like 15 hours, but then again I'm bad. There's a point in the game where you feel strong and you're wrecking fights though, that part is fun.

And this is where the series completely ran out of steam for me. I was so fricking bored throughout the thing, didn't even finish it. Never touched Dark Side or King's Bounty 2.

What was so bad about Warriors of the North, I remember not disliking it but I still dropped it quick. I do remember all the quests seemed to be solvable with money
I couldn't get into HoMM3 because I never played it as a kid and it feels really clunky and with a tiny UI and I'm kinda lost on what the frick I'm doing all the time. I guess these are more fun games even if more obscure and unpopular.
Everything after Princess/Crossworlds was made by completely different devs. The publisher sent the original team to make some cashgrab MMO and left the series to some cheap literally whos.

1C is a publisher. Katauri is the developer of The Legend and Armored Princess (also Space Rangers).

I think Crossworld doesn't include The Legend and Dark Side, and I'd say those are better than the Armored Princess campaign.

The original was released in 1990. It was the inspiration for Heroes of Might and Magic's gameplay.
So if you ever thought The Legend was a ripoff of HoMM, it was actually the complete other way around.
For me, is the spitting guy and the Genesis Port
King's bounty is fun when you figure out a good composition of units and a consistent strategy, but it's very prone to softlocks.
Some bosses could be impossible to defeat with your specific units, and there isn't an infinite amount of experience/gold/units on the map so you can 100% softlock yourself.
