You can definitely make it. School links almost finished and plenty of non school links to do over Winter vacation. Just remember that Empress can be done right before winter final exams while other school links can't so prioritize them up until the exams.
I wasted two days not ranking up around may-june but it seems like I still made it. I also didn't trigger any of the romance flag with chihiro so she keeps requiring additional hang out every rank up lmao.
Reload definitely has a lot of leeway as long as you don't stop ranking up during weekdays.

The new songs are some of the franchises' best and honestly I want some new direction for the series and all of the Reload content is written well enough that I'm even more excited for what the new directors will do.
He's making a one-off like Catherine again and coming back to make Persona 6 even more kino than Persona 5. But the composer left Atlus some years ago, and is only involved in a consultant capacity now. That's why the OST became Soulless in this remake.

Hashino is done with Persona, and to be honest that's really ballsy for a Japanese dev in this day and age because almost every other prominent director from that country is either too afraid or too creatively bankrupt to experiment.
I'm more interested in Metaphor, but if the team that did the new content in Royal is doing 6 then I think it's in good hands.

Yeah, it's good. It has some issues but they'll hopefully be at least partially addressed in the new release.
Gameplay is good aside some wonky level scaling, story and characters were written on a napkin the last 5 minutes
Cast is nonexistent and the story is barebones the gameplay does the heavy lifting.
Haven't played many Megatens yet, but it has my favorite combat of the lot. I far prefer Press Turn to 1 More. The story was notably lacking, and you were basically just going from one place to another to just punch shit for getting in your way.
With the dev interview confirming that V's story was lackluster, and that VV is made in response, I'm hopeful that it will be a worthwhile purchase.

Is Physical just better than Magic in this game? Phys amp skills are a game changer and I heard severe spells got nerfed
Crit boosts help skyrocket Phys damage and keep it there consistently, but magic's pretty good too with Magic Ability and Magic Mastery pumping up their damage. It's like 5R's Satanael, but even more cracked.

Phys is also better to use for elizabeth than magic, even in reload
Armageddon is a skill that costs all your sp to cast, its only viable to use on random encounters AFTER you get victory cry which is literally on the very last personas you get after the game is effectively over.
Second, on a boss fight, especially elizabeth you build for either magic or phys, phys is stronger magic is simply easier to unga bunga due to morning star being a simple build with few multipliers so you can stack more defensive options.
Lastly for margaret in portable phys is objectively better due to raging tiger, its no contest even without but thats why ken and akihiko are meta for margaret because they get weapon master and can deal nearly 800 damage twice while enraged, which margaret uses as her main status effect

Persona 3 is my first persona game and I like the combat and artstyle. However, I really don't like the school aspect of it. Is there anything similar to Persona? I heard SMT was kinda similar to Persona but i don't quite get it. To be honest with you, I prefer to play a single character in my games. There are guides but Ill warn you now its not as fun playing that way, its pretty tedious
you really dont need a guide for max social links after beating it once, you kind of know where everything is/all the breaks, just do what you know and remember to abuse sunday dates to get over social link point barriers.
On my blind playthrough I finished the game with everyone maxed except for Fortune, which was at rank 5. I must've messed up too much in the earlier game putting everyone above Keisuke.
I'm doing NG+ Merciless, so it's essentially just another new game with all my outfits.
Merciless is an exception since I guess they always want to make it hard, so they disallow NG+ bonuses.

theres a good chance you might've manually passed time with people instead of dates, or near the very end of the game its easily to lose days because you maxed all the social links that appear on one day so be careful with that part.
I'd recommend rushing Yuko and Chihiro to their blockers first cause theres early sunday dates with them. Theres more than enough sundays for Maya and Sun (as long as you start on time). Abuse film week with school social links that hit blockers since theres more break time than there is actual out of school links

I did do that! I avoided every single weekend date because I thought it'd be better used on Maya/Akinari, not realizing how many free days I'd have later. They would've been really handy with Yuko and Chihiro

same, but yeah now you realize how much room you had outside of school. So thats why I dont think you really need a guide, just prior knowledge and confidence like this goes a long way.
A tip for your SEES members, you can spend time doing hangouts even if they're maxed, that'll give you some social link exp for Yukari and Fuuka. Mitsuru I think you can go straight to 10

NTA, but dorm hangouts give very few social link points. I hit a block with Fuuka at one point and hung out with her 2 or 3 times at the dorm and it still wasn't enough for a rank up.
If you're in NG+, you should have max stats and all the carryover. So just make sure you always have corresponding Persona equipped, focus on school social links over city ones (since all school ones are unavailable during exams and vacation), try and not hang out with any social link that won't immediately rank up (try and abuse night events like Koromaru walks, computer dating site, or Sunday dates instead to tip push them to ready for rank up).

This too. Igor's biggest strength is just how much he knows about the CU and how many people he can call on for favors. If the Tatsuya Episodes in EP PSP are canon, he can casually call up Randolph Carter from HP Lovecraft's novels and ask him to open a gate to the CU for his guests if they need one. He's got a wide network of friends, humans and otherwise. But, maybe he's lost touch with them since he apparently hadn't had a guest for years in P3.

What are the eventual 'battle benefits' of doing the smiley face hangouts at night? Because otherwise they seem like a total waste of time.
If you do three of them of each type then the character you did them with gets a unique buff. Each character has two types of those events they can do, so if you do all of them, like watching TV with Akihiko three times and then cooking with him three times, then you get an improved version of whatever buff you get from just doing three of one of them. You also have almost nothing to do at night for half of the game anyway so there a good use of your time if only for having you do something at all.

It's not useless, they're good buffs. Yukari's in particular is completely busted. And more than that, you have almost nothing to do at night half the time anyway so you may as well spend the time with them once your two nighttime S. Links are maxed out.

You won't need half of the mechanics in the game, it's a pushover from Theurgies and how strong crits are alone. You'll still have little to nothing else to do at nights so your alternatives to doing the hangouts is just going to be bumping up stats at the arcade or just going to bed.

Barring the need to get Courage and Charm up quickly to unlock Fuuka and Yukari social links by the time they're available, I feel dorm activities are a hood early investment since they also give social stats and the battle upgrades will contribute to more months the earlier you get them. But regardless, it's easy enough to complete both all dorm night hangouts and all night social links and then have 2-3 months left in the game with nothing to do at night, so it's not that big of a deal which you do first.

I figured, but it's been half a decade since I've played. I definitely remember using the arcade for months just to raise Persona stats.
ultimately they still didn't pack enough content for nights even with all these so you do have plenty of time. By the time hangouts are introduced your stats should be nearly in good shape to do either fuuka or yukari without being gated.
The dorm hangouts can give you social stat raises and maxing academics too early can also be a travesty. Hanging out with fuuka/yukari/aigis/mitsuru also gives social link points for them.
Secondly some of the cooking events give you really nice items, iirc ken gives you a coffee that restores like 50 sp on his second hangout and a coffee that fully restores sp on his third cooking hangout, so the hangouts can be a way to also prepare for tartarus in that way, iirc mitsurus cooking hangouts are also sp items and shinjiros is basically full hp restores.
Theres also the garden, when you unlock soul spinach if you do garden events with your chracters, the harvest gains become insane to thenpoint where you get soul spinach that heals like 100sp and like 10 soul spinach that heals 30sp.
They are completely worth doing since you will max out stats halfway into the game if you focus way too hard on them.
A lot of people recommend focusing courage > charm > academics for stats but stopping academics at 5 and taking it to 6 in november due to all the passive academic increases you get automatically and thru dorm hangouts , you only need academics max for unlocking mitsuru slink and that unlocks in december at the earliest.
You should at least prioritize dorm hangouts for fuuka, ken, junpei and akihiko since fuukas affects the entire party and the other 3 girls get slink bonuses from them. Ken’s sp restore is also very useful in efficiently exploring tartarus since he covers 3 weaknesses so its good to have that early on.
fuuka's is pretty busted, its like forcefully lowing the game dificullty one notch. From there you can't go wrong with your favorites

Each event has 3 episodes with new dialogue and you get a passive ability with that party member at the end of one. You also get small stuff for individual episodes like food or buffing rooftop plants.
Read with Fuuka and do gardening with her 3 times each to minimize the damage party members get towards their weaknesses

She just assumed that the experiments performed on her were all that were necessary.
In reality, the even if she weren't a Kirijo, they probably would have handled her with kiddy gloves. As stated, she was the only natural Persona User they had access to. They couldn't afford to lose her.

I would use all the tartarus and full moon bosses to level underleveled characters after hermit since thats the last one where you actually have to think about who you bring since taking yukari and aigis to that boss is just full on moron mode.
Hierophant and lovers all three of akihiko, junpei and mitsuru perform well akihiko is just nice to resist the elec attacks. As far as justice and chariot goes aigis is probably ideal there for her high phys resistance otherwise just take whomever you like there since nobody is actually weak to light or phys
The train boss is easier than in FES. The timer only starts during the boss fight, you can grind for cure water, shift exist etc

If you’re using the powerpyx guide, I decided to replace those hangouts with other characters instead and just switched her between lovers and justice. The powerpyx guide isn’t very flexible since it misses one shiniro hangout as well as does the hangouts for most characters by the end of the game. You can modify that guide a lot as well since they don’t start using the dating site note until much much later and also forgets to use the first sickness medicine courage boost so you can easily get ahead by one day in that guide, or just ignore the part time trophy to get faster bonuses elsewhere. The guide also maxes academics way way way to early while still doing several activities that boost academics even BEFORE december comes along so you can use that to your advantage as well for more free days, you can also use temperance arcana to get ahead one day or two as well.
I'm in october and it's probably too far in to consider steering away from it. I'm happy to ignore the part time work achievement and look out for when the dating site unlocks.

Part time achievement is easy, because you'll have so many free days/nights open at the end of the game with nothing to do so you can just get it there. That's what I did.

No, the counter trick still sort of works. Most second phase skips involve getting her down to close to half HP and then switching to a Persona that repels Phys. Then you just bait her attacks out until she hits you with a phys strike. She won't be able to use Diarahan and you can finish her off with Armageddon.

P4 already sort of had something like that in the form of follow-ups. The most they'd do is make attacks like Galactic Punt and Junes Bomber into selectable attacks. But if they did that, then Galactic Punt would have to be weakened.

Given what they did with Junpei's Spring of Life, the obvious thing would be to make stuff like Naoto's Justice Shield and Yukiko's Burning Petals into limit breaks. I'd imagine they'd change the requirements though, since lore-wise, it wouldn't make sense for them to be able to use Theurgies without the requisite cartridges. Probably team attacks.
Persona 4 Golden is already a complete joke in difficulty. Limit Breaks would make it even easier.

I could see them having All-Out Finishers. If your gauge is filled and you did an All-Out Attack, you can do a folllow-up attack just like in Golden. Maybe they now have more combinations and you choose between them, and they give special buffs.
