well not everyone is teenager or basement dweller that only uses pc. realistically consoles will die when everything goes central network, but that will also affect pc. we are basically 80% there already. most things running from internet. soon you'll basically only have display that connects to services and everything runs externally. well at least you don't need to worry much about upgrading hardware anymore if nothing else

i'm not elon but it is most certainly future. sooner or later that time will tell. lots of softwares moving to running off from server or partially from there. games are getting clouded or requiring online for certain parts or simply access. people stream tv and movies. most people's money is digital and on servers and tracked, which is probably why there's been big influx of companies buying all gold that people might have in form of israeliteelry etc. the list goes on. more and more will come.
Games are too expensive to develop for one platform now unless you're Nintendo making C-tier Ubislop that sells 50m units to fanatics.

PC is the objectively the better platform no matter how much anyone seethe over it, even phones are also the best in a way. Because sooner or later you will have an emulator and you will be able to play everything. If consoles allow emulator out of the box, them consoles probably win because of price
