After BDSP I fully agree. The games hold up well. I hope all the gen 5 games are put on some kind of e-shop at a discounted price so they’re still accessible to new and old fans (outside of emulation)
I watched this video of someone sharing the same opinion and I think he's right. There were actual reasons for past remakes but now it's just diminishing returns. Gen 1 and 2 had graphical improvements with theirs while gen 3 remakes benefited from the physical special split introduced in gen IV.

Do they just go with BW and forego the additions from B2W2? Does GF really wring as much money out of the players as possible and remake all four games? It just reeks of desperation either way.
1. It'll be fun to see which game they are gonna remake, and we can throw shit at them whatever they decide.
2. Triple battles would be very fun to have. And Showdown will probably implement them too so we can train an AI for these using it.
3. If it's gonna be made by same frickers that ruined BDSP, then we'll at least have top tier teams for Ghetsis, N and probably Alder with all items and EV.
4. It will be interesting to see if new anime will stick to the formula of making special episodes to shill remakes.
Here are four good reasons to wait for Unova remake independent of if you like gen 5 or not.

HGSS is one of the best games in the franchise. FRLG is also a strict upgrade over RBY, and makes the game playable.
frlg came out only 6 years after the original game and, by design, does not change/improve/add anything
