I'm not saying there's nothing that COULD be improved if the devs were competent. I'm saying that given what we've seen from the companies involved, it would be a strict downgrade on every level. It wouldn't even lend itself well to PLA-style gameplay.

I think whoever madr this made a great job, but it still need some color consistency to make it match the DS game's color palette, because the grass and route looks like an HD version of Sub abd Moon (which is not bad per se, but SM is more colorful and BW is not that saturated)

This is GR concept art and I platinumed both games recently. I actually love the art direction, I love so many aspects about it and none, literally never you that game will let you feel how this image looks like. Because an Image is not a playable game you dumbfrick. And with images you can do a ton of shit to make it more appealing.
gravity rush or abes odyseey? GR1 is a great game, you can see the vita limitations but it has the soul of a PS2 game. GR2 was okay and heavily annoying that the story resolution felt like forced as late game thought in + gr1 story cliffhanger was literally a fricking dlc. Gameplay + sidemissions were meh.
Abes Odyseey on the other hand is a timeless classic same with exoddus, but thanks to GT Interactive crunching Exoddus feels more like an addon than a real sequel.

But we all know BDSP will be the model going forward.
Honestly i would have been okay with BDSP looking like LG or SwSh if it meant no glorified port like what we ended up getting
You know what I would actually accept and even possibly enjoy? A dexcut BW remake with only Unova Mons, alt forms introduced in later gens, and Kingambit. Maybe a few more new Mons or evolutions. If they added enough to make the dexcut worth it, could be fun.
