At least Dota has different team comps which might make each individual game feel different. I have a friend who constantly wants to play CS with me. But he never wants to play anything but dust2. I fricking hate it.
dota is the only competive game outside of battle royales that actually does get massive overhauls to how it plays every year, and its single map has more than enough depth you really don't need more. how would swapping a map with the jungle camps being slightly to the right make the game feel that different?
>how would swapping a map with the jungle camps being slightly to the right make the game feel that different?
Heroes of the storm did it right and was the only asshomosexuals I moderately could stand to spend any time on
there's almost endless replay value in Dota 2
they're also constantly adding new heroes, items, mechanics, and recently the base map got 40% bigger. honestly it still feels fresh
The map isn't the focus in dota 2. The focus is the combo of heroes and items.
Its like saying "Why hasnt the football pitch changed in hundreds of years"
CS doesnt have such variety, its the same shit every single game, hence why different maps to keep it fresh
lol you are one of the Black folk that lets life pass you by and wonders why time is going so fast. If you change locations, your brain gets stimulated again, and 2 weeks feel like 3 months. Meanwhile for you, time is a blur, right brownoid. The white man changes scenery a lot, you'd get it if you werent a shitskin
>If you change locations, your brain gets stimulated again, and 2 weeks feel like 3 months.
Absolutely not true
t. Has not lived in the same location for more than 2 years thanks to my job.
There are competitive players, ask why people play chess or rock paper scissors next
Their game is fair, no matter what you think of cs, but this game has nearly twenty years of history and it's the most competitive shooter out there, this is not that high standard that you think it is
Honestly it's probably familiarity and some nostalgia. I'd guess all of us aren't too different in ages and probably grew up playing some games.
So you get familiar and comfortable with some maps and anytime you play games you want those maps again and again.
I mean how many times did you play on De_dust. Or CS_office. You get older and you like them so you play them.
In reality I remember 1.6 having a ton of maps, from modded fun maps to legit ones. Yet I bet most people who even play 1.6 or source play the same few maps. While 90% of maps become forgotten or lost.
The rules are defined by the markings on the ground. For CS, you only need bomb sites and you are free to do what you want for the rest of the map, so there's no reason to play the same map for 20 years. It's fricking virtual, you're supposed to have more freedom
less moving parts in a game means you spend less time learning autistic busywork like "what the frick does this new hero they released 2 weeks ago do again?" and "why the frick does this ryze skin make him look like kha zix".
you get to focus on the same high-level gameplay pros are thinking about, like what angles are the best to peek, and the mixup about where to position based on that known information
>on my high school football team >always win home games, no matter how bad the team is any given year, our home games are fricking blowouts >two main reasons >the hs fb refs didn't want to travel all the way out to our bumfrick field so we'd get refs from nearby >we knew every divot, ditch, flood puddle, and soft spot on the field and simply avoided them >we'd even "fake" spots to avoid for the other team to worry about, then 2nd half of game we'd play those fake spots >our whole rep was built around winning home games, sometimes winning away, and every 2-3 years going to states >all because of our fricked up field
First time I played on turf and got burned by the fake plastic blades they called grass it made me realize that "home court advantage" was more than a cliche.
Anyway I hated playing our field, even though we won. Sure we'd win, throw a fricking kegger, get high and shitfaced and end up at waffle house or omelette shoppe at 4am. And those were some fine memories, but I simply got fricking tired of it.
That turf field was like a home away from home.
when I played CS I played a shitton of dust2 but I also played mansion, rats, jeepaton2k, delta_assault, iceworld and in GO black gold, insertion, anubis, agency, lake
Every game. If it's not dead then they did not get their hands on it or you did not look hard enough. The list ranges from every fighting game ever to World of Warcraft.
It's CS for for people who have their brain fried from constant social media, they can't play something slower like CS so they need colorful abilities shitting up the screen every 3 seconds
CS is just aimwank it's so boring I don't understand how it's popular to begin with.
Aim is the least difficult thing to train up and get good at, it's literally just time spent, anyone can do it, it's not impressive. But normalgays wank it so hard like it's the most impressive shit in the world when it's fricking NOT so of course the most aimwank aimwank game gets the most aim wank in it by these mouthbreathers
That's why CS had success in the esports scenario. Simple game with set rules, growing in complexity in team tactics where you can make a lot of theories and speculate on what's going on. Same as football. It's welcoming to people who even don't even play the game.
Same tbh, I tried getting into CS but it got boring after a couple months.
At least in asshomosexuals there's hundred characters and items to shake up the same map.
Maybe people actually just like the core game enough that they don't need the devs to throw dozens of maps and characters at them to stop it from getting stale.
>get outplayed on a new or barely played map >wtf that was bullshit >get outplayed on a map you've played for years >"damn it, that corner always gets me", etc. etc.
Easier to justify getting destroyed and humiliated
Imagine things being even worse.
UT2K4 gays playing literally ONE MAP for 20 fricking years.
Rankin is ok. But i'm fricking SICK AND TIRED of this shit. These games were known for their near infinite amount of different maps and modes but noooooo.
Heckin' shock coil spam on rankin for eternity.
I have to give Valve some credit for trying to make map rotations and sideline dust a little bit but the frickin "pros" of the scene are such incredible homosexuals that they burn down city hall anytime you mention moving away from d2, inferno, and nuke
Glad you posted this I feel the same. Played a lot of CS source for 3-4 years and then stopped. Never really came back to the game since, I've tried but I just can't do it.
[...]
This but unironically, they always switch things up to keep the game fresh.
It's like living in the same town for most of your life.
>It's like living in the same town for most of your life.
No, it's like saying you don't understand the appeal of playing football when the field is always the same size and structure. The fun comes from the mechanics of the game itself, not the novelty of endless new maps or whatever.
>source engine's hit registration has been dogshit since the beginning of time
sounds like a good thing to fix when you update your engine but I guess thats too much to expect from valve
CS shooting has always been a coin toss. The people who play CS are the same people who gamble their savings away. There's a reason Valve struck gold by adding a literal slot machine for skins.
Literally everyone can tell shooting and hitreg in cs2 is bad, and it's not just hurr durr skill issue, spectated a dude that missed every awp shot even when the crosshair was dead center of a player. By process of elimination we've gone through (sub)ticks and now hitboxes, I wonder what they'll find next.
>Literally everyone can tell shooting and hitreg in cs2 is bad
And they can also tell its better than CSGO's hit reg. So demanding CSGO back is childish.
>ports game to source 2 >increases the minimum requirements so now you need a 10 years old pc rather than a 20 year old one to play it >BRs and other third worlders absolutely shit themselves
kek
NORMALgayS ARE PISSED. THE HITBOXES ARE BUGGED. THE GAME ALSO RUNS LIKE SHIT AND IS GLITCHY AS FRICK
This isn't the problem. OP's screenshot is followed with a demonstration about the ent_hitbox not being accurate to what actually decides if you kill or not.
ent_hitbox shows the SERVER tick hitboxes.
cl_show_hitbox shows client interpolated hitboxes, and because the game is now subtick, this is what actually matters.
See https://vxtwitter.com/CrystalChrisYT/status/1710944420739031389
(This is why players think the game feels "off": they were compensating for the jank present in CSGO that is now absent in CS2)
However hitbox is EXTREMELY incorrect when they are crouching and looking down. It's so bad that the head is literally inside their backs. This is the actual problem. If they're standing, running, and you missed, you just missed.
That could have made for a real good screenshot thread but OP is a homosexual.
https://vxtwitter.com/Joleksu/status/1710783857778163719
Can't say I remember that. I do very much remember before the riot shield, famas and that AK47 gun. Not sure if that was 1.6 or something after. I was still very young.
Wasn't the original counter strike made by some college kids, or was it college kids who worked for valve?
Anyway I could tell it was console shit the first time I played it and realized it seemed to be designed heavily for controller.
There was nothing wrong with the simple original UI buying system and the wheel version was dumb.
Also seemed several weapons that in original and I'm pretty sure source had character and soul all seemed cookie cutter clones.

It was a half life mod by some dudes, yes. CSGO was supposed to be a spin-off for consoles, it was developed by Hidden Path Entertainment. It was basically Valve's answer to CoD.

>it was developed by Hidden Path Entertainment.
the console port was developed by hidden path, csgo was still developed inhouse by valve
8 months ago

Nope, it was developed from the ground up by Hidden Path. Valve hired them to port CS Source to consoles but the project became CSGO eventually. >Most of the production of CS:GO was done by Hidden Path, also known for the Defense Grid series, who had about 30 people working on it before release. “Valve's involvement grew continually during the final pre-launch phase,” as Hidden Path CEO Jeff Pobst told me. >When I reached out to Hidden Path to talk about CS:GO’s origins, Pobst shed light on an the biggest challenge that CS:GO faced before release: how to unify the deeply entrenched Source and CS 1.6 communities under a single game. “Initially we started working with the Valve folks to bring CS:S to console. The project grew over time to become something much larger because the folks at Valve were really interested in exploring if there was anything that could be done to try to bring together the two existing groups of CS players,” said Pobst.
Maybe Counter Strike needs an actual Half Life with it for it to be good. Original obviously had the original half life. Source which was pretty good had Half Life 2. CSGO didn't have one. If I'm not mistaken on my Counter strike history I'm sure it was some mod made for Half Life.
After purchasing a body armor and a head armor, using the "refundall" command refunds both, but you retain the body armor.

no
there was an exploit people used to see through smokes with some graphics card settings which got people banned
giving yourself an advantage like this is 100% bannable (and ofc valve can see who did this in logs, so good luck lmao)
I honestly can't understand how people take pvp shooters still seriously after how much is cheated in them on every opportunity. It's a widespread cheating menace that plagues every game for years now. Why the frick do people even watch e celebs, who all seem to cheat?
>moron normies think that aiming near someones head is "cheating"
if you play cs (or any fps game.....) for any substantial amount of time do you want to try and attempt a guess at how many times when you are holding a site / a corner that you have swiped across someones head and not known? 60 iq ape
So then why the pause on a piece of geometry you cant shoot through? Surely a pro player wouldnt accidentally just stop and aim at a wall for no reason, he's a pro!
that entire game hinges on walking with cursor constantly aimed at head level, there are maps where you do nothing but practice just that, i never got out of silver and practiced aim maps, you are braindead Black person if you think people who play this game for 20k hours arent doing it in their sleep
zoomer has never played a valve game. When you observe the raw hitboxes, they'll look disjointed. But they are always lag compensated. They had to remove the ability to see hitboxes in game (without modifications) because brainlets would continue to report bad hitboxes despite nothing being wrong with them.
need to add a normal anti cheat finally there have never been this many hackers in the game and theyre not even trying to hide the radar wh or aimbot, fix this hitbox stuff then add back commands that existed in go
>there have never been this many hackers in the game
this shit game has been filled to the brim with hackers from its inception, when I took it seriously I swear to god 40% of my matches had cheaters in it
will take months to get sourcemod back going, on top of porting all the good maps which usually have a shit ton of effects/triggers/etc that break on porting. At least a month, not expecting before 2024
Speak for yourself
I can't make maps because valve STILL hasn't fricking put out the linux versions of the Source 2 tools they have.
That were the literal entire reason for engineering and migrating to a new engine
Because microsoft are buttholes and they didn't want to be tied to some proprietary middleware shit that only works on windows.
Valve requires for some god forsaken reason an RTX gpu for their lighting compiler, there is a CPU compiler still but its deprecated and will very likely be removed entirely in the forseeable future
Looking at OP I don't think you even need to aim at the feet anymore. Just randomly trace the air around where you think the hitbox is and you'll probably get even more headshots than ever.
>spend 10 years patching/fixing CSGO >throw it all in the garbage and release "CS2" which is CSGO in 2013 but less and worse
im surprised really. will take valve 1-2 years to fix this mess.
>CS2 is going to have it's own wave of not understanding the view hitboxes commands
Seen it already with TF2 and moronic youtubers making up that the scout could outrun his own hitbox at 1/10th the speed of soldiers rocketjumping.
to a silver 1 shitter like myself who plays couple of matches each week casually with randoms it became much much harder to hit enemy players in cs2. whenever I peak it's like they have laser pointed on my head. don't know if this is a cheating problem or just skill issue.
Valve broke them on the last patch released last Thursday or something, its getting reverted back today, not the first time they break something on cs2. Lots of tards in the the thread that don't read and think hitboxes were like this the whole time.
The game is good and will only get better. Like 90% of the people upset with the update are Ranjeets playing on i3 powered laptops.
The only real point of criticism I have is the fact a lot of content like game modes and maps haven't been ported over yet. They should keep CSGO available as long as stuff like Wargames and Danger Zone (as laughable as it is) isn't in CS2.
right now i am creating the best counter strike map of the world. i already did it once 20 years ago. but the map dissapeared never to be found again.
i think in 2 weeks i have mastered the new hammer editor and in about 6-8weeks i will present you my new map.
it gonna have many death traps, cool lights and it will remind you of an old movie you liked to watch as a kid. i will probably post it on /vg/ tho.
It's so funny how csgays have decided that just now is the time they'll grow standards. they've been playing one of the worst shooters of all time for a decade without a peep.
This. I find it absolutely hilarious that for some reason NOW people are crying about how awful CS is. Reminder for the braindead CSgays: it has ALWAYS been this shit.
just how they made source from 1.6? just how they made csgo from source? they can't make that jump anymore
>port skins
Problem solved, woah that was hard. Stop parroting twitch streamers you moron.
lol, if it was that easy they would've done it. do you morons realize how big the skin market is? shroud was right in saying cs dies with cs2, they just can't make a new cs
>switching
You are so fricking stupid, cs2 is an update to csgo. There is no different game, they just updated the name and the icon in the store. It's literally a dlc
What do you think they are doing on cs2? Every week they update skins because they had to manually tweak them to fit the new engine. Why wouldn't they do it again.
It's not about them looking better, it's about the market price and how valve can't mess with peoples thousands of dollars.
>it's about the market price and how valve can't mess with peoples thousands of dollars.
That's what happened in the past 6 months since the announcement, price fluctuating and people losing money. Again I ask you why wouldn't they do it again in 10 years or whenever its profitable for them to do so.

The entire CS series is nothing but ports with their own engine quirks
>CS
original >Xbox
weird console port, that in a lot of ways became the base for CSGO >CZ
paid graphics update that was meant to be backwards compatible with 1.6, but it was a trainwreck, so it couldn't even do that >CSS
meant to be CS 1.6 with newer graphics and Source physics >CSGO
meant to be updated CS Source port made for consoles.
with updates it became almost entirely different game, not to mention they even removed Dust and Aztec, 2 launch maps >CS2
CSGO port for Source 2 with less content

This moron is really trying to tell me that 1.6 -> source -> go are just le epic ports that didn't change how the game works completely. Fricking lmao, have a nice day
Yeah, CSS is meant to be just a port to 1.6 with newer graphics, it's not like the whole shooting, movement, economy got changed. That's what a new game means, changing how you need to play it, not whatever CS2 is.
I disagree.

So you're saying the new loadout system does not make a difference at all? Neither does redone volumetric smoke?
Or even crosshair recoil?
When CSGO launched, no one used molotovs. You couldn't even use smoke to extinguish them
8 months ago

No, it doesn't make a difference. You still buy the same shit as you did in CSGO. Smoke being blasted off by grenades doesn't change the core game like the previous versions did.

Yeah we get it bro everything new is shit stfu already why did you even bother replying

What do you want from CS3, serious question.
Iron sights? Lack of economy? You can play Insurgency Sandstorm. Or even Call of Duty, which has Search and Destroy since the first game.

I don't know, I'm not a game designer. 1.6 to source removed ammo for example. Source to GO removed movement completely. Of course there were also different things but I'm not a 40 year old boomer to know everything clearly. Literally ANY impactful change that would actually classify it as a new game would be perfect. Remove armor, change the economy, can't save weapons anymore, a new type of grenade, this has been the same game for 10 years. Advertising CS2 as a new game is the biggest video game scam I have seen in my life.

They didn't make all these changes for the sake of being different, but for the sake of what they felt to be improvement and kept re-iterating on it.
CSGO after updates feels like a completely different games compared to launch state, which made it justified to consider it proper "CS2".
I don't remember which former Valve employee said that, but the reason they don't make Game 3, is because they achieved everything they wanted with 2.

Imagine buying into this shit without even realizing they stopped making games the moment skins started getting popular and knew they wouldn't need to work another day in their lives.

The reason they stopped making games was Windows 8, with Microsoft trying to lock down the PC market, which made them paranoid to focus on Linux

Okay, but seriously.
What WOULD you want out of a hypothetical CS3 that would actually require making one?
The only Valve game we even have a general idea why they would make a "3" of is Half Life.
And that's because they wanted to frick around with actual Portal Combat in episode 3 on the Borealis.
Valve doesn't need a yearly refresh, because monetization is built into the game.
The game is flexible enough to allow them to easily add maps with new features without hardcoding a ton of shit.
The game is moved to their new engine which isn't strapped down with a bunch of ancient middleware bullshit that's causing problems
It literally doesn't make sense for there to be a "Counterstrike 3".

New movement, economy changed, can't buy ak/m4 on third round meaning SMGs actually matter. Armor kit or defuse kit being removed. Yeah sure Valve doesn't need a yearly refresh but maybe a decade refresh in how you play the game.

Literally nothing you described would require making a new game.

What new movement would possibly benefit the game? Economy already changed, r12 system is in effect. SMGs already are very relevant no need to implement an arbitrary limitation. Why would you remove core features of the game present since 1.5?

I think crosshair recoil was a significant quality of life upgrade for anyone who didn't exclusively play CSGO.
I'm not a competitive gay and I enjoyed late CSGO for what it was, despite removal of classic maps.
If there's something I want, it's the potential new modes. But with CS2 they removed everything but the most classic modes.
What do you think they are doing on cs2? Every week they update skins because they had to manually tweak them to fit the new engine. Why wouldn't they do it again.

whatever they will fix it then, they wont care about 15€ skins right now when there are a lot of gameplay issues to be fixed first of all and then they will focus on wild lotus, dlore, knifes etc. so very expensive skins obviously that makes them the real money and the reason players buy cases
8 months ago

I don't think they will fix it. What you see in my picture is a pattern being applied completely different because of the new model. I think some people who paid to have the puking jackal on their skin got very angry with this change and Valve got cold feet so they just changed back to the way it was.
I'm just an idiot who bought it due to changes made during beta.
They said this about CSGO too yet here we are. Besides the whole plan behind CS2 is to make a future proof game so at least we are set until when I'm way too old to play anything requiring reflexes
Sincere question outside of Source 2 (Because Source 1 is a nightmare of dead middleware waiting to explode)
Why would anyone WANT a "new counterstrike"?
True, why would anyone want a new version of the most popular franchise? Let's just play the same version forever, Valve is too poor to make a 1.6 to source jump.
I've been trying to learn CS2 and is there any good resource/guide that explains the use of every gun? I don't know the nuances or differences or why you would pick one over another in the same tier or price range. I feel like i'm missing a lot by not knowing what guns to use besides obviously m4/ak's and awp
>besides obviously m4/ak's and awp
thats all you need.
just go to a aim practice map and see the pattern of the guns, then practice the pattern, those weapons only need 1 to 3 shots to kill
>I've been trying to learn CS2 and is there any good resource/guide that explains the use of every gun?
QRD >I want to get free instant kill headshots and play on literal infant difficulty
M4/AK >I want instant kill ANYWHERE shots
AWP >I want to play the game
Literally every other gun
Everyone saying otherwise is lying to you.
You can't buy those every round unless you're always winning.
Lot of it is from CSGO but still applies. VooCSGO and WarOwl have plenty of guides.
Anyway only guns that matter are:
T-side: >Glock >Tec 9/Deagle (when poor) >Mac 10 >Galil >AK-47
CT-side >USPS >Five Seven/Deagle (when poor) >MP9 >M4A1-S (god gun, no recoil or movement penalty, use like you're playing call of duty)
What's good about the galil? whenever I tried using it just feels like an inaccurate, less damaging ak >MP9
Why use it over other SMGs? I usually gravitate towards the MP5SD because it feels more accurate and easier to control recoil
There's basically 4 loadouts >full eco
your fav pistol >force buy
your team has an ok loadout enough to win a round so you dump all your money >partial buy
you have enough for SMG/SG and some utility >full buy
your buy your fav weapon and all utility
your primary weapon of choice is basically 3 different weapons max >starting pistol >tier 1 pistol >tier 2 (smg/sg) >tier 3 (ak/m4)
just pick one of each and learn its functions
example
AK 1 shots headshots but lacks accuracy
M4 is accurate but can't oneshot
thx, I kind of knew this but I didn't know what force buy meant even though the game will use the term to describe when to buy certain weapons
>You can't buy those every round unless you're always winning.
So yeah you can buy them every round
If you want to be a sweaty loser buy an m4 and a defuser
If you want to play the game, get a nova and prepare to upset people COMPLETELY unprepared for how far effective range is on it.
Galil is very cost effective. It's better than SMGs and costs about as much as one.
MP9 is just the best smg considering price and use. Expect nerfs soon. MP5 on the other hand is garbage.
Famas is good if you're fighting outside of close range and have the money. I only ever buy the MP9 if I'm fighting up close or am short on cash.

Anonymous
Maybe it's a personal bias but pro players also seem to avoid FAMAS for the most part.
I remember dinking someone at medium range with it, then bodyshotting them only to not get a kill. Combined with the godawful reload it makes the gun completely unattractive to me.

Famas seems like a complete luckshot to me, one round I get an ace with it just rifling normally, other times I duel a rifler with it and it seems like I lose because the recoil makes the bullet fly all over the place and I wasn't standing close enough to account for it. I think the recoil has more random deviation than other rifles.
Anonymous
Valid criticism. I'm not saying its the best eco rifle to buy, but its best played within its strengths. However you're much better off with the Galil over the Famas due to the slightly consistent recoil pattern and ammo. If you don't feel the Famas at all, there is definitely better options available such as the MP9 or MP7 if you need more range.
>What's good about the galil?
Range. The recoil is unpredictable, but tap firing towards head from distance is pretty effective. It's also easy to spray with up close. >MP9
High fire rate and while the recoil kick is bad, it's actually not bad for the firerate so people burst at head from medium range with it and spray to finish off an enemy or in close quarters. The key is adjusting to the high firerate and the potential damage output but high recoil it causes. MP5's probably working for you better right now because your aim is fine but your firing control needs practice.
If you are just starting, the hardest part is going to condition yourself not to start shooting until you've lined up your shot. Poor spray control is what leads to two people standing in front of each other and dumping half the mag until someone gets a lucky headshot. If you're in the lower ranks and someone's not running and spraying, consider running out into the open a little further before you stop and shoot. Obviously, against good opponents that re-adjust their aim, it won't work but it may give you time to line up your own shot.
Also - don't buy utility if you don't know how to use it, I see too many people go 4 nades and die without using either one of them.
Another thing people sleep on is trading - it's hard to get consecutive kills in CS unless enemies stupidly pick 1v1 fights. Even if your team sucks, try to stick with it so that you can finish off an opponent that was busy with your teammate. Obviously, it's easier in a party - your mileage will vary
>Poor spray control
*Fire control, or trigger discipline rather, since you're not talking about the recoil/spray pattern.
But this is good advice. As someone with really good trigger control, CS is relatively easy game to play for me.
>besides obviously m4/ak's and awp
thats all you need.
just go to a aim practice map and see the pattern of the guns, then practice the pattern, those weapons only need 1 to 3 shots to kill
>I've been trying to learn CS2 and is there any good resource/guide that explains the use of every gun?
QRD >I want to get free instant kill headshots and play on literal infant difficulty
M4/AK >I want instant kill ANYWHERE shots
AWP >I want to play the game
Literally every other gun
Everyone saying otherwise is lying to you.
I don't get why they would make the launch of their "new" counter-strike a complete non event by just replacing CSGO with a patch one day
it should have been an epic event. the culmination of 23 years. it should have been poggers. instead I care about this about as much as the grimdark call of duty modern warfare sequel that's coming out like 5 months after the last one
that's why valorant is watched more and every single teenager plays it instead of csgo which is only played by 20+ gays
valve continues like this riot games is going to replace them completely in 10 years
Valorant has people quitting all the time. Besides what game has actually managed to constantly find new populations of Zoomers? Call of Duty and FIFA are all I can think of.
>it made million in skins the very first day it launched
csgo didnt launch with skins
csgo was trash until valve stepped in and fixed it
even then it took ~1 year of constant updates to bring the game to a point where people actually played it and switched over from 1.6
They promised a summer 2023 release but when it was the last day of summer the game was in literal beta phase with only the absolute core gameplay available.
They were clever to just drop it like that and pretend it was a quirky minimalist release.
I mean, if you REALLY want to get into it, l4d2 and CS:GO were just part of the REALLY, REALLY OBSCENELY AND GROTESQUELY ENGORGED beta of what they were going to work towards in Source 2.
Most of the internal Source 2 prototypes at Valve are actually, just like, L4D2.
But Source 2 and Vulkan (ooh).
This feels like 2012 all over again where you get used to shooting towards specific areas of the model. I already noticed I was having a lot of strange moments in competitive, and also survived a lot of situations by looking down where I thought I'd get shot for sure.
>be mostly LE or LEM in CS:GO, was up to SMFC at one point, all soloqueing >struggle a bit to get a rank in CS2 mostly because teammates are absolute monkeys >get rank >1,500
I guess my main question is, why is this bottom rank so relatively tough to play in? In GO in lower ranks you'd mostly get people who died to you holding W until you got past gold novas.
Everyone is back to playing CS and nobody is ranked yet so you're just very likely to play against fellow MG's and other people who should be ranked higher.
This will be ironed out over the next months and is just natural for a release like this.
I was Supreme (hit global 3 times), got ranked at 5k, after two weeks I'm 7k. I'll be disappointed with <10k although I only queue up solo, which is a huge disadvantage
>1 million concurrent players >still NO option to only queue with other solo players
This is the most blatant form of competitive advantage left in the game. I play solo with 4 undiscovered tribesmen speaking languages never heard before and the opponents meanwhile have played the map together a hundred times already.
I'd love to get an answer out of Valve. I agree, this is the second-worst thing about the game, right after the cheaters (calibration games were pretty fricking wild)
Surely the advanced VAC AI is doing some deep learning as we speak and is going to rain hell upon people spinning around their axis 50 times per second soon.
if they're going to be homosexuals about this they could at least let you duo queue at maximum.
solo only queue would be such a good time but for some reason every game avoids this.
I think they should just give you full freedom to choose and have your waiting times correspond accordingly. I'd happily wait 3 minutes in order to only play solo players with less than 20 ping.
because those Black folk refuse to create a solo q only button
I was supreme too and I get anihilated by 5man stacks regularly while I have polish subhumans in my team every fricking day
but 1500 rating shows you are a huge shitter no offense, I get 30+kills against 10k players, still unranked atm I got banned 14days again
two reports and I get max ban duration, happens often when I get a moronic 1v5 or 1v4 clutch
The game runs like shit to me and I'm still used to being able to hold angles. I'm not sure if it's an FPS issue or just how the game works but I'm having a lot more success strafing into my enemies to kill them instead. I keep expecting to die for it but somehow I always manage to pop off shots before anyone shoots back like this so I suspect that others are having trouble holding angles as well.
Having aggressive teammates also seems to work a lot better than it did in CS:GO.
>Thursday >average w/l & kill/death ratio. some games are even carried by me >Friday >suddenly some players with obvious aimbots run through the map headshotting everyone with desert eagle and spamming their hacker site link in chat >Saturday >game gets update. cant get any with a positive kill/death ratio
How will Valve fix the A1-S problem? Switch prices with the A4? Increase shit like movement inaccuracy so it feels like an actual CS weapon?
Don't get me wrong I love (ab)using it but I liked CS better when it was AK vs A4 instead of the current meta where you either 1 tap someone or else you get insta 2 dinked across the map. A1-S has empowered bad players way too much.
Make A4 cost $2900
Make A1-S cost $3100
Give A1-S identical firerate to A4
Ironically enough this is basically the 2014 version of A1-S which would have been balanced enough if it wasn't for the price. The firerate and magazine size patches it got were a mistake. Same gun as A4 but with silencer at the cost of 10 shots from the clip was perfectly fine, maybe adjust the damage if pros complain.
something is fricked. i'm not good but now im expected to believe that my fellow silver trash are all actual aim gods with 50%+ accuracy? even im hitting tons of hits that just don't look right. i feel like im playing source again
Everyone shoots like shit in CS:GO because the engine was always shit. Try using identical m_yaw, m_pitch and sensitivity settings from your CS:GO config in another Quake/Source based engine and you'll notice how much easier it is to aim in literally anything else.
CS2 lifts this crap off as long as your PC runs the game decently. Combine this with the fact that subtick makes counterstrafing a lot easier and people will indeed shoot harder at every rank. Just corner peek constantly yourself to balance it out.
What are the best maps if you don't like claustrophobic site entrances which allow for attacks to be decimated in a single spray?
In CSGO I only played Cache and Overpass because of this. I'm bad with utility and really hate dying to someone holding his crosshair on a fixed spot clicking when the pixels change.
Overpass still seems popular in premier. Mirage is another one where movement and shooting are the key. Yes, people will try to smoke the map to shit but the map is too big to control like that, and with how closed most of the entryways are, flashbangs are hard to throw effectively.
Also just learn to throw some improvised flashbangs towards snipers. If they're holding still scoped at a corner, throw one past the corner above their scope sight so they can't hear or see it.
I was afraid you were going to say mirage but I'll try. I actually do throw flashbangs, they're easy and noob friendly. It's just that I can't do proper mollies which seem a hard requirement for entering on Inferno and Nuke.
I also would love Dust2 if it wasn't for the doors on long and those boxes right next to the B site entrance allowing for such annoying ratty corners. In general I just hate rate corners where CTs can kill 1 or 2 people close range and then are guaranteed to die themselves, it's frustrating gameplay.
Mirage is tough overall but rotating fast over long distances on it makes it a lot easier.
I understand the frustration but it is a team game and you should be focusing on round score and economy, not whether you lived or not. If the enemy always defends Dust 2 B site like that, your team can abuse the shit out of that. The rat holds on B are also pure liability if a singe T gets through mid while other Ts are still in the tunnel. The door corner on A long, I just deal with by either going long with a flashbang through the skylight so fast they can't get in there, or I don't go there at all. The rat positions are only really a problem when you don't have a team that understands that rushing them out even if they get a kill is good for the Ts because they get area control for a trade.
It's a legacy map but yes giving the defenders access to the better weapons is a horrible idea and when you make the map itself piss easy to defend it creates a nightmare.
Office servers themselves are known for being full of stoners too high to play because otherwise every T-side would win everything after pistol
CSGO's version was alright with the hostage way outside but now they're both deep into the nest so it's literally impossible to ever rescue a hostage, it's purely a deathmatch now.
They should just go back to the more chaotic style of the older hostage maps, it's not like it'll ever be considered competitive anyway.
why is people disconnecting in competitive so fricking common. Not even like "oh we're losing im gonna leave and throw". How does this happen so often, I don't see this nearly as much in other MP games. christ it's so moronic
Like 70% of playerbase are unironical third worlders playing on povertymachines which could barely play CSGO on all low - 1280x960. Their pcs are just falling apart and crash.
I have no clue, I live in western-Europe and sometimes play in servers with 7 ping (I assume Germany) and sometimes it's suddenly 28 ping and everyone is either doing cyka*~~) or GŪLŪ DŪLÜ OLSEN TURKIM???
ping seems to be lying.
played with a guy with 0 ping yesterday and he had a dutch accent and there was another guy that sounded eastern european.
i live in california and i was lagging like a motherfricker, rubber banding every 5 seconds and my weapons refusing to swap.
Ping you see in the game is from your game to the server, not there and back like ping usually means.
Fricking wild to me that I also now occasionally see americans playing on euro servers with like 80 latency.
Anonymous
That doesn't make sense.
I tend to get 100 ping when I play on the east coast in other games. In CS2 I get 80, that would mean my ping is 160.

Anonymous
It's not necessarily identical into both directions. Net_graph shows your actual ping. I remember getting maybe 3 latency in the scoreboard but actual ping of about 12 in net_graph.
I have no clue, I live in western-Europe and sometimes play in servers with 7 ping (I assume Germany) and sometimes it's suddenly 28 ping and everyone is either doing cyka*~~) or GŪLŪ DŪLÜ OLSEN TURKIM???
You can open steam overlay to see what servers you're playing on now. Limiting your maximum acceptable ping setting helps a bit.
I've read somewhere you can't set it lower than 50 meaning I still connect to like 90% of the world.
ping seems to be lying.

forgot to mention my in-game ping was like 26 and never changed even when i would get hit with a lag spike.
I believe it. 0 ping can be explained by someone hosting the server (like in COD lobbies) but then again I saw a 0 ping player leave a match and nobody would switch to 0 after so this doesn't hold up.
People tweak out their shitty PCs trying to get max FPS and make them unstable, but it's also true that the game does just crash sometimes because of C++ related reasons.
I think so, yes. Valve actively prevents people from playing CSGO so I doubt it will ever return or become easily available.
Makes sense seeing the CS1.6/CSS split
No, you can install and load it up from Steam under the different beta/version options in CS2, but the CS:GO matchmaking servers are gone. You can still connect to normal community servers I believe.
How long will that remain possible I wonder? I'm sure Valve intends to just end it entirely. Maybe someone will make it available as a separate "source mod."
It's for the purposes of viewing CS:GO demos so it's unlikely it would get removed. It's already cumbersome enough to use that the average player wouldn't stick to it.
They didn't get rid of Cache, it's not a Valve owned map and the owner (who has a priority relation with Valve) is busy working on his other map Santorini before releasing Cache.
>DID HE JUST HEAR A SOUND AND IMMEDIATELY TURN AND START SHOOTING???? >IT MUST BE CHEATING!
it would've been a little sussy if he flicked and got an immediate headshot and didn't fire any extra bullets but he clearly heard something and panic sprayed
Nothing wrong with this either, have you never played counter strike or something. He lined up his shot beforehand and crouching as soon as you see someone is very common so pros are used to adjusting their aim to compensate for crouch.

Peeking like its halo (keeping the mouse head level and not moving the mouse left or right) is pretty common for a deagle player. If you treat like any other weapon, you're going to whiff hard.
>He's not cheating, he's just that good even though he knew somebody was going to be there and landed a single perfect shot!
I'm so glad I stopped playing online valve games, you frickers are everywhere
You're trying too hard. cs obviously has cheating and there are definitely plenty of blatantly obvious clips that expose cheaters but you Black folk need to stop posting clips that are perfectly normal shit anybody whose played enough CS would do. >HOLY FRICK GUYS HE WAS AIMING AT THIS SPOT FOR 30 SECONDS ON CT BEFORE AN ENEMY CAME AROUND THE CORNER AND GET THIS, HE ONE SHOT HEADSHOT HIM! BLATANT CHEATING!!!
the moronic T sitting up there misses like 3 glock shots and then the guy turned on him hearing the shots, being this absolute autist about legit players and thinking theyre cheaters is insane, i know there is a lot of hackers, but i dont think a csgo major winner needs to cheat in the game, also doesnt even aimlock on the homie you can clearly see the panic spray and how he overshoots it, obv not hacker

Sure, walking silently into site while they already know you're there and getting headshot by someone holding an angle while your team is expecting you to draw attention as they go to the other site is much more valuable than wallbanging a common spot to potentially get a kill and force the already rotating enemy team to devote a ton of time to dealing with you.
those people practice it for 20 years you clueless homosexual
>practice for 20 years >now you can snap onto the head bone of an enemy player through 3 impenetrable walls >for some reason you don't walk around the corners pre-aiming smoothly you just snap onto their head and stop for a moment >you also have the known pro-gamer tick of shaking your mouse left to right to break the aimbot loc- I mean to uhhh...
I too hate it when my mouse cursor just locks onto an opponent's head on the other side of the map and I have to throw my mouse around to break that lock.
you moronic gay i doubt you even play csgo camping on those boxes happens in literally every match in silver, thinking its cheating exposes you as turbo moron
DESU, if I was competing for millions of dollars, I'd get a better aimbot that wouldn't just spaz out on me and aim at people through walls. That's just me though.
Im simply gonna say it, 99% of people complaining about this shit arent even good enough to be affected by the shit they complain about. CS is one of the biggest communities of johns youll ever find, up there with league of legends and call of duty for "bruh its the games fault"
One reason they wanted out of the CS:GO engine was apparently because it was hell to develop for, which I can understand for a 2012 Xbox 360 game ported to PC.
How fast they'll fix this and any other issues will be a good test to see how worth it the engine change was. So far the updates have been pretty fast.
>Originally started as a port of Counter-Strike: Source for the Xbox 360, it was later expanded and eventually turned into a new Counter-Strike game.
Even official Valve developer wiki claims so.
Matchmaking and buy wheel were specifically designed for consoles.
You want me to google the early history of CS:GO for you? Because I could but you're a moronic if you thought this was some secret, and it caused controversy in community at the time how the newest CS had console shooter vibes all over it.
It's not apparently, source is absolutely garbage to develop for. Have you seen hammer editor? I played around with both the old one and the new hammer and the difference is night and day. There's also a tool for faces that is infamous for how hard it is to use.
Fortnite nobuild was honestly the shittiest shilling wave tbh >Hey we took literally the only unique feature in our slop royale out and it's actually sooper cool and fun now guise >I'm a real person!
The game feels distinctly less fun and way more try hard than I recall CSS ever being.
I've just started playing it again for the first time in 15 years at least and it feels far more "meta" hardened and soulless. It's still okay but I'm not sure I get the impression the players are actually enjoying themselves, it's just ritual.
>It's still okay but I'm not sure I get the impression the players are actually enjoying themselves, it's just ritual.
You're in good company. I've noticed most people on this board are morons incapable of realizing not everything is made for them and other people genuinely enjoy things they don't.
>I've just started playing it again for the first time in 15 years at least and it feels far more "meta" hardened and soulless.
you might also notice that players in general are better than 15 years ago due to better equipment, internet and knowledge. yes, even if they play on a more laid back public server. it's crazy, I know.
>Remove ADS from the game >Everyone just uses the 1 gun that can ADS and 1 shot people >Literally every other weapon in the game is a noob trap
CSGO was never good.
>CS:GO >like counter strike source but dumber for some reason >no interest >zoomers eat it up >valve announces CS2 >i think "woah" >forget about it >come back >they literally just reskinned and renamed CS:GO >CS:GO doesn't even exist anymore cause it's been renamed CS2 >it's still just CS:GO >zero interest
GO already lost its sovl when they changed the guns to sound like peashooters.
Fricking TF2 still has an AWP that sounds like the AWP, they changed the most iconic firing sound because "muh esparts" or something, so stupid.
A decade and a half on this board and I'm beginning to wonder: do anons seriously not know what a reskin is? I ask this because it really is a tech illiterate board but do people seriously think engine upgrades are just new textures?
CS:GO players literally went through 10 years of updates fixing this kind of shit, just for it to go back to complete shit with CS2.
I'm so glad I quit this shit game back in 2016.
people like these genuinely baffle me. there's couple of other schizos on different boards on different threads who show up on threads 90% of the time. at some point I think the posts, and even replies themselves might be scripted/AI generated. at least I hope so, since surely doing this manually cant be good for your health (or what's left of it anyway.)
It's so comical that it feels like it must be bait but this board has also proven that it's absolutely dogshit at video games and regularly cries about cheaters in general like they're omnipresent so I can't be sure.
>oh look it's another thread about CS:GO >I really hope some anon won't post the webms of shroud and others blatantly cheating and locking on enemy heads behind multiple layers of walls, that will rustle the jimmies of every third world subhuman that still tries to defend their favorite e-persona and the laughing stock that is their e-sports league
Oh well.
I'm a cheater in csgo and can tell you the clip of mirage people love to shitpost isn't cheating purely cause the game hasn't rendered the player from the position Shroud is standing, thus the cheat does not know he's there. It's a pure coincidence clip.
check out the cs subreddit. they tried debunking ops pic but then got rebunked by m0nesy himself. now they are in full damage control and meltdown mode. fricking reddit tards getting dunked on by some russian twink
reminder to just look at this thread to see how many low test and iq zoom zooms are on the board and how much they seethe at the highest skill cap FPS game on the market, lmao.
Ganker has been filtered by literally ANY pvp game with skill expression. Thread about multiplayer RTS are especially painful, it honestly might be the most casual player base of any site on the internet.
Hell, people were getting filtered by fricking CoD on here. This board went from making fun of servers that banned players for being too good to crying for them to come back and complaining that other players are trying to win. It's wild. Like you said even normalgays don't seem this bad anymore. At the very least casuals elsewhere usually seem more willing to admit they suck and that a game might simply not be for them.
Has anyone compiled a full list of features we've lost relative to CS:GO (any version since 2013) in CS:2?
Some things off the top of my mind. >wargames are kill >tdm kill >missing like half the maps >workshop maps kill >community servers kill >achievements kill >original soundtrack kill
You don't know what I'm talking about. I'm referring to the fact that the original game score is missing a bunch of tracks, a byproduct of the panorama implementation and the way music kits are done now. A problem CS:2 inherits.
tdm is still in
original soundtrack is a music kit now >wargames
whats that
>wargames
You should know this if you play the game. The other game modes such as gungame, scoutsknives, everything that isn't comp matchmaking or ffa deathmatch.
Valve should add a new AR to the game or at least new skins for weapons that actually changed the model instead of turning them pink.
I don't care if some swedish boomer autist "e sports" player wants weapons to be easily identifiable by their models.
>I don't care if some swedish boomer autist "e sports" player wants weapons to be easily identifiable by their models
Okay, so you're not the target audience.
you have plenty games which cater to low iq morons, why dont you frick off there

Maybe if you weren't possibly underage and unemployed you'd realize there's more to this hobby than an unhealthy obsession around bread and circuses being applied to it as well.
For people who like different things than you to be eradicated.
It's not about liking different things, it's about things going way out of balance.

>Maybe if you weren't possibly underage and unemployed
Everyone I know that is big into CS is in their mid 20s with a job and often even kids. >It's not about liking different things, it's about things going way out of balance
Quote from man crying that competitive games are a cancer that need to be eradicated. And don't pretend esports is a different thing when you were replying to someone saying the target audience is just people who want a more competitive game and not less of one.
Keep crying zoomer
GO has always been shit, time for you to find another FPS to infect
it literally is a worse version of go
It's actually a much better version of GO because it has managed to upset CSGO players imo
>dislocated hitboxes
>bad
>dislocated bullet spray
>good
I have never seen the appeal behind playing the same five maps for 20+ years
Me neither
Same with people who play nothing but DOTA 2 for a decade
Dota 2 is a hive of mental illness but at the very least it occasionally gets balance patches and new heroes/items/etc to spice things up.
would you believe baseball, basketball, soccer even NFL homosexuals have been playing the same map for ONE HUNDRED YEARS
spotted the fat frick
Anyone can sit in a chair and eventually be good at CS. good luck being a 5'8 250 pound fatass trying to run the ball in the NFL
>Anyone can sit in a chair and eventually be good at CS
keep telling yourself that
you tell him champ, maybe one day that useless "skill" will get you out of your parent's house
>Googles the average weight of NFL players
Woah
Why haven't you gone pro in CS?
hey at least dota has variety with heroes and items. cs is the exact same buy ak47 and awp every game
Dota 2 has a ton of characters to play as at least so there's variety
Dota is constantly changing and it often gets new heroes, items and mechanics added.
Haha, stop joking anon. It hasn't been a decade since Dota 2 came out.
Heroes of the storm did it right and was the only asshomosexuals I moderately could stand to spend any time on
there's almost endless replay value in Dota 2
they're also constantly adding new heroes, items, mechanics, and recently the base map got 40% bigger. honestly it still feels fresh
>they're also constantly adding new heroes
homie u lyin like a mothafricker
ironically dota 2 just had its map change massively
The map isn't the focus in dota 2. The focus is the combo of heroes and items.
Its like saying "Why hasnt the football pitch changed in hundreds of years"
CS doesnt have such variety, its the same shit every single game, hence why different maps to keep it fresh
It's funny when I went to 500 person LANs back in the day nobody wanted to play DOTA even with a cash prize no one touched that shit.
It's like living in the same town for most of your life.
gays who move around are fricking disgusting
have a nice day, nomadic c**t
lol you are one of the Black folk that lets life pass you by and wonders why time is going so fast. If you change locations, your brain gets stimulated again, and 2 weeks feel like 3 months. Meanwhile for you, time is a blur, right brownoid. The white man changes scenery a lot, you'd get it if you werent a shitskin
Goy cucked so hard by nomadic renter propaganda that he actually believers this
>If you change locations, your brain gets stimulated again, and 2 weeks feel like 3 months.
Absolutely not true
t. Has not lived in the same location for more than 2 years thanks to my job.
Peak spiX posting
This isn't even broscience, it's moronscience.
hunter-gatherers lost
Sounds comfy.
Sunken cost + feeling like your “good” at a game. God help people who solo queue in multiplayer team-based games
>sunken cost
seen this a few times on this board recently, very funny kek
Makes me wonder which israelitetuber put it into zoomer heads.
It's great, like they heard "sunken place" from Get Out and then just decided to replace one of the words in "sunk cost" with a cooler sounding word
something something meleegays
autism
It's better for a game to have 5 good maps for 20 years than 100 shit maps over the same period of time.
There are competitive players, ask why people play chess or rock paper scissors next
Their game is fair, no matter what you think of cs, but this game has nearly twenty years of history and it's the most competitive shooter out there, this is not that high standard that you think it is
>pay2win agent skins
>competitive
pick one
You can't use agent skins in tournaments
You can use them in "competitive" mode though.
Valve needs to limit agents skins to any mode that isn't premiere.
Name 3 shooters that are more competitive
Honestly it's probably familiarity and some nostalgia. I'd guess all of us aren't too different in ages and probably grew up playing some games.
So you get familiar and comfortable with some maps and anytime you play games you want those maps again and again.
I mean how many times did you play on De_dust. Or CS_office. You get older and you like them so you play them.
In reality I remember 1.6 having a ton of maps, from modded fun maps to legit ones. Yet I bet most people who even play 1.6 or source play the same few maps. While 90% of maps become forgotten or lost.
It's over football bros... They're onto us.
We will never be able to hone our skill any longer
Whats the APPEAL?
The rules are defined by the markings on the ground. For CS, you only need bomb sites and you are free to do what you want for the rest of the map, so there's no reason to play the same map for 20 years. It's fricking virtual, you're supposed to have more freedom
Standardization for competitive play.
I have never seen the appeal behind playing the same map for 1400+ years
less moving parts in a game means you spend less time learning autistic busywork like "what the frick does this new hero they released 2 weeks ago do again?" and "why the frick does this ryze skin make him look like kha zix".
you get to focus on the same high-level gameplay pros are thinking about, like what angles are the best to peek, and the mixup about where to position based on that known information
>on my high school football team
>always win home games, no matter how bad the team is any given year, our home games are fricking blowouts
>two main reasons
>the hs fb refs didn't want to travel all the way out to our bumfrick field so we'd get refs from nearby
>we knew every divot, ditch, flood puddle, and soft spot on the field and simply avoided them
>we'd even "fake" spots to avoid for the other team to worry about, then 2nd half of game we'd play those fake spots
>our whole rep was built around winning home games, sometimes winning away, and every 2-3 years going to states
>all because of our fricked up field
First time I played on turf and got burned by the fake plastic blades they called grass it made me realize that "home court advantage" was more than a cliche.
Anyway I hated playing our field, even though we won. Sure we'd win, throw a fricking kegger, get high and shitfaced and end up at waffle house or omelette shoppe at 4am. And those were some fine memories, but I simply got fricking tired of it.
That turf field was like a home away from home.
>all the seething comments comparing CS2/CSGO to football or any other sports
Same but with fricking the same girl for years
>morons comparing sports that require speed, and strength, or chess, that requires intelligence, something CShomosexuals neither have
is that your counter argument?
it's my counter strike
>Oooh? You play chess?
>yeah I am pretty smart an-
>*QUICK PUNCH TO THE LITTLE NERD'S THROAT* ack
>OOOH SLOW REFLEXES DIDN'T THINK OF THAT UUH STUPUD
the map layout is part of the game
when I played CS I played a shitton of dust2 but I also played mansion, rats, jeepaton2k, delta_assault, iceworld and in GO black gold, insertion, anubis, agency, lake
No new maps, no new weapons, no new utilities, no new anything
Git gud
Tourney homosexuals, the cancer that kills every game with a multiplayer component.
Not every game, cs stopped being casual only game even before 1.5, a lot of appeal for cs players is trying to go pro
Every game. If it's not dead then they did not get their hands on it or you did not look hard enough. The list ranges from every fighting game ever to World of Warcraft.
There's nothing else to play in terms of online fps games.
Rainbow 6 Siege
Valorant is CS but new maps, characters and modes every few months
valorant is definition of
>we have CS at home
It's CS for for people who have their brain fried from constant social media, they can't play something slower like CS so they need colorful abilities shitting up the screen every 3 seconds
for every kill you get ill give you an "UwU"
UwU
Aaah you're so adorable
Valve gays still defend this game look at their forum and subreddit
Stockholm syndrome at this point
Even fortnite is better lol
CS is just aimwank it's so boring I don't understand how it's popular to begin with.
Aim is the least difficult thing to train up and get good at, it's literally just time spent, anyone can do it, it's not impressive. But normalgays wank it so hard like it's the most impressive shit in the world when it's fricking NOT so of course the most aimwank aimwank game gets the most aim wank in it by these mouthbreathers
It's called autism. Repeating the same actions is very soothing to them.
It's a competitive thing
You wouldn't get it
im almost 30, i dont want to learn new maps
im not a comp player but i still regularly play 24/7 2fort and dustbowl servers everyday for few hours
I have never seen the appeal of playing the same map for 150 years
That's why CS had success in the esports scenario. Simple game with set rules, growing in complexity in team tactics where you can make a lot of theories and speculate on what's going on. Same as football. It's welcoming to people who even don't even play the game.
I've always wondered how the sport of soccer would change, if there were hills or lanes in the field.
People have been playing soccer or football or whatever on the same maps for their entire lives.
>I have never seen the appeal behind playing the same five maps for 20+ years
Yeah, who would want to play the same map for 500 years?
Same tbh, I tried getting into CS but it got boring after a couple months.
At least in asshomosexuals there's hundred characters and items to shake up the same map.
>At least in asshomosexuals there's hundred characters and items
*that all play the same because riot is a metahomosexual lane team
Maybe people actually just like the core game enough that they don't need the devs to throw dozens of maps and characters at them to stop it from getting stale.
>I have never seen the appeal behind playing the same five maps for 20+ years
cp_steel
pl_badwater
pl_upward
cp_badlands
cp_fastlane
easy
This, once I discovered Gun Games and zombie servers back in the day I never went back to the boring vanilla game.
>get outplayed on a new or barely played map
>wtf that was bullshit
>get outplayed on a map you've played for years
>"damn it, that corner always gets me", etc.
Atleast quakegays play A COUPLE maps
I have to give Valve some credit for trying to make map rotations and sideline dust a little bit but the frickin "pros" of the scene are such incredible homosexuals that they burn down city hall anytime you mention moving away from d2, inferno, and nuke
I miss playing the hellbenderrace servers on floating mazes
Glad you posted this I feel the same. Played a lot of CS source for 3-4 years and then stopped. Never really came back to the game since, I've tried but I just can't do it.
This but unironically, they always switch things up to keep the game fresh.
>It's like living in the same town for most of your life.
No, it's like saying you don't understand the appeal of playing football when the field is always the same size and structure. The fun comes from the mechanics of the game itself, not the novelty of endless new maps or whatever.
What I don't get is how Valve never revived this considering its the most fun fps game.
Yeah it's depressing.
CS 1.6 had a million maps and game modes.
So does CSGO, they are in the community and workshop tabs now. There are even moronic modes like kart racing and chicken fights.
goldsrc era was golden time of pc gaming
Didn't that shit also happened when CSGO first launched
this happens in all of source games, it's tickrate Vs visualization, in csgo this shouldn't matter the way game uses microticks and all.
shitter cope
source engine's hit registration has been dogshit since the beginning of time
this is the crap I have to put up with in tf2 every day
You obviously just injured his gun anon, it's bleeding all over him!
>source engine's hit registration has been dogshit since the beginning of time
sounds like a good thing to fix when you update your engine but I guess thats too much to expect from valve
It's pretty fantastic at low ping, mogs 128 tick even, but shits itself if you even go past 50 or 60. Very weird tbh.
does it even support LAN anymore
Yeah.
Source 2 still uses quake 1 code in places, it was always going to be janky.
Spoken like a moron who never played Quake 1.
This, my friend, is what is know as a skill-issue. Familiarise yourself with this, it will be useful later, Black person.
>Ganker adventure game dialogue
Good thing they updated CSGO's engine so this can be avoided then, right?
reminder CS 1.6 and Source and Condition Zero GIGA CHAD BVLLS won
Isn't the hitboxes dislocated supposed to work this way to help with lag/server tick?
Yes but don't bother explaining interp to morons
I love it how MG morons come in here trying to act all smart against all the pros that do this for a living.
Oh well, there's always CS1.6 and CSS
I now know why I miss all the time, thanks op
Okay but in real life you're aware that bullets don't go where you're aiming your gun... This is part of the tension and realism of CS
GABE
Lol just learn the hitbox offsets bro why are you zoomers always trying to casualise games
I'm trans btw forgot to mention that
CS shooting has always been a coin toss. The people who play CS are the same people who gamble their savings away. There's a reason Valve struck gold by adding a literal slot machine for skins.
CS was at its peak when it was a platform for silly gamemodes
Not knowing how server-side lag compensation works
Literally everyone can tell shooting and hitreg in cs2 is bad, and it's not just hurr durr skill issue, spectated a dude that missed every awp shot even when the crosshair was dead center of a player. By process of elimination we've gone through (sub)ticks and now hitboxes, I wonder what they'll find next.
That's not what this is moron.
>Literally everyone can tell shooting and hitreg in cs2 is bad
And they can also tell its better than CSGO's hit reg. So demanding CSGO back is childish.
>ports game to source 2
>increases the minimum requirements so now you need a 10 years old pc rather than a 20 year old one to play it
>BRs and other third worlders absolutely shit themselves
kek
Many such cases!
While I agree and say frick the poorgays that does not excuse the hitboxes and netcode.
>Aquicemento
>shoot middle of head
>still hits the hitbox
whats the problem? lmao
You wouldn't hit head because you are moving or because of a spread or because of recoil or because of a screen shake
That could have made for a real good screenshot thread but OP is a homosexual.
https://vxtwitter.com/Joleksu/status/1710783857778163719
the crouching hitbox is broken because they hotfixed the crouching animation to remove twerking but didn't adjust the hitboxes
OP destroyed by facts and logic
I thought bout checking it out but just couldn’t be assed
Worth trying or should I go play valorant to hit on egirls?
>RNG shooting game has one more RNG element
I don't see how this matters
So is this Pre 1.6/1.6 era style? Source? Or CSGO shit?
I just want that 1.6 era again. CSGO felt soulless and cheap and like some console game.
Give me back 1.4 valve reeeee
Can't say I remember that. I do very much remember before the riot shield, famas and that AK47 gun. Not sure if that was 1.6 or something after. I was still very young.
Famas and shield are 1.6 / cz
>and like some console game.
>he doesn't know
Wait it's even worse or?
csgo IS a console game ported to pc, menus in alpha even used controller buttons for interface
just wait until they find out it wasn't developed by valve either
The project grew over time to become something much larger because the folks at Valve were really interested in exploring if there was anything that could be done to try to bring together the two existing groups of CS players,” said Pobst.
yeah and then valve fully took over and fixed the shit turtle entertainment put out
dishonest argument
Define a "PC" game.
A game not designed to be looked at 5 meters away from the screen, so no bigass UI or ridiculous 60 FOV
Right, so not CSGO.
You are just angry because new thing is different.
The biggest problem is the removal of maps and features
Maybe Counter Strike needs an actual Half Life with it for it to be good. Original obviously had the original half life. Source which was pretty good had Half Life 2. CSGO didn't have one. If I'm not mistaken on my Counter strike history I'm sure it was some mod made for Half Life.
>CSGO didn't have one
Alyx, you fricking moron.
>CS became a skill game like SF now
>zoomers crie
Perfection.
I'm dumb, what is SF?
Street Fighter
The dude who made this admitted an hour later he was completely wrong
Cope seethe mald etc etc
And this is why Nintendo never bothered with a "Melee 2"
>24 year old free to play game
>its shit
woah
It's month old game.
CS2 is a remaster of CS:GA which is a remaster of CS:S which is a remake of CS which is a mod of Half-Life (released 1998)
Remaster is the new game. Valve deleating CSGO because CS2 can't compete (like Microsoft does with nu Windows) just reinforces the point.
It's like cs source all over again
so is there gonna be a significant custom mapmaking scene? i heard the new hammer is really good.
After purchasing a body armor and a head armor, using the "refundall" command refunds both, but you retain the body armor.
refundall command:
alias "refundall" "sellback 0;sellback 1;sellback 2;sellback 3;sellback 4;sellback 5;sellback 6;sellback 8;sellback 9;sellback 10;sellback 11;sellback 12;sellback 13;sellback 14;sellback 15;sellback 16;sellback 17;sellback 18;sellback 26;sellback 26;sellback 27;sellback 28;sellback 29;sellback 30;sellback 32;sellback 33;sellback 34;sellback 35;play uipanoramaitemtile_click_02.vsnd_c"
bind [KEY] refundall
Have fun
>exploiting in a game Valve is actively monetising
yeah im sure thatll go well
they can't even catch scriptkiddies
>it works
>how to get vac-banned in two easy steps
you only get vac banned from fricking around with game's processes
no
there was an exploit people used to see through smokes with some graphics card settings which got people banned
giving yourself an advantage like this is 100% bannable (and ofc valve can see who did this in logs, so good luck lmao)
>Use your GPU to frick with rendering code with smokes
>noooo it's not fricking around with the game's processes
This got people overwatch banned, not VAC banned.
>somehow its the players fault valve fricked up console commands and their priority.
CS is such a fricking joke
You're fricking moronic if you think this shows cheating and it only hurts your "case".
that's higher than the head
moron
I honestly can't understand how people take pvp shooters still seriously after how much is cheated in them on every opportunity. It's a widespread cheating menace that plagues every game for years now. Why the frick do people even watch e celebs, who all seem to cheat?
>moron normies think that aiming near someones head is "cheating"
if you play cs (or any fps game.....) for any substantial amount of time do you want to try and attempt a guess at how many times when you are holding a site / a corner that you have swiped across someones head and not known? 60 iq ape
So then why the pause on a piece of geometry you cant shoot through? Surely a pro player wouldnt accidentally just stop and aim at a wall for no reason, he's a pro!
record yourself drawing straight lines on paint
now make sure every line is exactly the same length with every mousestroke
that entire game hinges on walking with cursor constantly aimed at head level, there are maps where you do nothing but practice just that, i never got out of silver and practiced aim maps, you are braindead Black person if you think people who play this game for 20k hours arent doing it in their sleep
zoomer has never played a valve game. When you observe the raw hitboxes, they'll look disjointed. But they are always lag compensated. They had to remove the ability to see hitboxes in game (without modifications) because brainlets would continue to report bad hitboxes despite nothing being wrong with them.
need to add a normal anti cheat finally there have never been this many hackers in the game and theyre not even trying to hide the radar wh or aimbot, fix this hitbox stuff then add back commands that existed in go
>there have never been this many hackers in the game
this shit game has been filled to the brim with hackers from its inception, when I took it seriously I swear to god 40% of my matches had cheaters in it
Lead your shots 😉
Is faceit better than premier? premier fricking sucks and I doubt they'll fix it
its as if some of these dumb fricks never played 1.6 before.
Black folk complaining about the hitboxes when the matches are all filled with cheaters, even on casual lmao
less than 1% of matches have cheaters, you're just bad
>less than 1%
more like less than 1% detected with how good cheating software has gotten nowadays
Oh, you sweet summer child.
The game is full of hackers from premier to dm and community servers, they need to add surf and zombie escape back already so the game is fun again
will take months to get sourcemod back going, on top of porting all the good maps which usually have a shit ton of effects/triggers/etc that break on porting. At least a month, not expecting before 2024
Skill issue.
Valorant won so fricking hard.
its a troony game so yea of course it won
>seeing all these glorious hammer 2 shit mappers have been posting
>workshop/server integration still not enabled yet
AHHHH OPEN THE FLOODGATES GABEN
RELEASE THE KINO
RELEASE THE CUSTOM CONTENT KINO
>cant compile maps because i dont have a raytracing compatible card
It's over, poorgay bros...
Speak for yourself
I can't make maps because valve STILL hasn't fricking put out the linux versions of the Source 2 tools they have.
That were the literal entire reason for engineering and migrating to a new engine
Because microsoft are buttholes and they didn't want to be tied to some proprietary middleware shit that only works on windows.
u foken what
you could bake lighting in 2013 no problem even without gay tracing
Valve requires for some god forsaken reason an RTX gpu for their lighting compiler, there is a CPU compiler still but its deprecated and will very likely be removed entirely in the forseeable future
you can tho
maybe just stop playing shit games you braindead npcs?
works on my machine
Csgays are delusional, I have a friend who described to me CSGO as "a perfect game that needs no changes"
Why does that even matter
It's not like CS is a game with movement tech
Just shoot the guy, what's he going to do, break his hitbox by bhopping?
>It's not like CS is a game with movement tech
spoken like someone who never got beyond gold nova
CS is a game where you get headshots by spraying people's toes
Who gives a shit
fortBlack person
*clicks ur ankles and dinks you*
the game now has recoil crosshair for tards like you
Looking at OP I don't think you even need to aim at the feet anymore. Just randomly trace the air around where you think the hitbox is and you'll probably get even more headshots than ever.
>spend 10 years patching/fixing CSGO
>throw it all in the garbage and release "CS2" which is CSGO in 2013 but less and worse
im surprised really. will take valve 1-2 years to fix this mess.
SIR DO NOT REVIEW
>yfw you experience racism in Victorian England
can I have a fricking qrd on this scene? I dont watch peaky blinders. was he really mad about racism or is that just Ganker trolling?
obvious troll, the character just has suicidal tendencies
wtf he's literally me??
maybe I should pirate that series after all
Some clover edgy suicidal psychopath criminal just like me fr fr
He hallucinates his dead wife telling him to join her
>CS2 is going to have it's own wave of not understanding the view hitboxes commands
Seen it already with TF2 and moronic youtubers making up that the scout could outrun his own hitbox at 1/10th the speed of soldiers rocketjumping.
VALORANT WON
to a silver 1 shitter like myself who plays couple of matches each week casually with randoms it became much much harder to hit enemy players in cs2. whenever I peak it's like they have laser pointed on my head. don't know if this is a cheating problem or just skill issue.
lol same thing happened when css released
it took valve YEARS to fix the css hitboxes
Valve broke them on the last patch released last Thursday or something, its getting reverted back today, not the first time they break something on cs2. Lots of tards in the the thread that don't read and think hitboxes were like this the whole time.
>THE HITBOXES ARE BUGGED
core to the CS experience tbh
valorant won so fricking hard, bros
Reminder for the braindead CSgays: it has ALWAYS been this shit.
sounds like standard counter strike 1.6
valve literally cant make a new cs because of skins, have fun with cs2 being the last cs ever
I mean how else would you make CS without fundamentally changing the game?
just how they made source from 1.6? just how they made csgo from source? they can't make that jump anymore
lol, if it was that easy they would've done it. do you morons realize how big the skin market is? shroud was right in saying cs dies with cs2, they just can't make a new cs
They literally did all of that when switching to CS2. Your point is so moronic
>switching
You are so fricking stupid, cs2 is an update to csgo. There is no different game, they just updated the name and the icon in the store. It's literally a dlc
That's not the same thing you dense frick, that's just the sellers panicking.
I disagree.
Gaben fricked up on the patch last week and they get disjointed when you crouch and look down. That's all there is to it, expect a fix going live at 9am DC time.
The entire CS series is nothing but ports with their own engine quirks
>CS
original
>Xbox
weird console port, that in a lot of ways became the base for CSGO
>CZ
paid graphics update that was meant to be backwards compatible with 1.6, but it was a trainwreck, so it couldn't even do that
>CSS
meant to be CS 1.6 with newer graphics and Source physics
>CSGO
meant to be updated CS Source port made for consoles.
with updates it became almost entirely different game, not to mention they even removed Dust and Aztec, 2 launch maps
>CS2
CSGO port for Source 2 with less content
This moron is really trying to tell me that 1.6 -> source -> go are just le epic ports that didn't change how the game works completely. Fricking lmao, have a nice day
Yeah, CSS is meant to be just a port to 1.6 with newer graphics, it's not like the whole shooting, movement, economy got changed. That's what a new game means, changing how you need to play it, not whatever CS2 is.
>That's all there is to it, expect a fix going live at 9am DC time.
Chill down on the shill speak bro, imagine knowing the exact time with the timezone mentioned.
>economy got changed. That's what a new game means,
So you're saying the new loadout system does not make a difference at all? Neither does redone volumetric smoke?
Or even crosshair recoil?
When CSGO launched, no one used molotovs. You couldn't even use smoke to extinguish them
No, it doesn't make a difference.
Can't argue with valve bootlickers. Oh why make this change? Why this? Why remove ammo? Why simplify the game? Why remove anything? Why change movement? have a nice day man
>every change must be good
nu Modern Warfare 2 killed all the remaining good will people had for it after Modern Warfare 2019
So you don't have anything, gotchu.
Are you braindead? If it was up to you the game wouldn't have been changed since the original one. There's literally nothing to argue when all you're going to say is change = bad
I think crosshair recoil was a significant quality of life upgrade for anyone who didn't exclusively play CSGO.
I'm not a competitive gay and I enjoyed late CSGO for what it was, despite removal of classic maps.
If there's something I want, it's the potential new modes. But with CS2 they removed everything but the most classic modes.
>no argument
little moron :3
VR
What do you think they are doing on cs2? Every week they update skins because they had to manually tweak them to fit the new engine. Why wouldn't they do it again.
>Update USPS Ancient Visions to the new model during the 6 month beta
>Then revert it back to the old one and scratch it like crazy upon release
Literally the same fricking skin
left is fn the right is bs autist homosexual made this pic who doesnt know float and patterns exist
It's literally my skin in my inventory.
whatever they will fix it then, they wont care about 15€ skins right now when there are a lot of gameplay issues to be fixed first of all and then they will focus on wild lotus, dlore, knifes etc. so very expensive skins obviously that makes them the real money and the reason players buy cases
I don't think they will fix it. What you see in my picture is a pattern being applied completely different because of the new model. I think some people who paid to have the puking jackal on their skin got very angry with this change and Valve got cold feet so they just changed back to the way it was.
I'm just an idiot who bought it due to changes made during beta.
they're different models, shape and all.
CSGO was made to be CSS console port. Only with updates it got good.
They said this about CSGO too yet here we are. Besides the whole plan behind CS2 is to make a future proof game so at least we are set until when I'm way too old to play anything requiring reflexes
>port skins
Problem solved, woah that was hard. Stop parroting twitch streamers you moron.
Way to fricking miss the point in the post you just replied to dumbass.
Classic valve hitboxes problem
*shrugs*
'least it aint woke
I've been trying to learn CS2 and is there any good resource/guide that explains the use of every gun? I don't know the nuances or differences or why you would pick one over another in the same tier or price range. I feel like i'm missing a lot by not knowing what guns to use besides obviously m4/ak's and awp
>what guns to use besides obviously m4/ak's and awp
That's what 99% of players use either way
You can't buy those every round unless you're always winning.
What's good about the galil? whenever I tried using it just feels like an inaccurate, less damaging ak
>MP9
Why use it over other SMGs? I usually gravitate towards the MP5SD because it feels more accurate and easier to control recoil
thx, I kind of knew this but I didn't know what force buy meant even though the game will use the term to describe when to buy certain weapons
>You can't buy those every round unless you're always winning.
So yeah you can buy them every round
If you want to be a sweaty loser buy an m4 and a defuser
If you want to play the game, get a nova and prepare to upset people COMPLETELY unprepared for how far effective range is on it.
Galil is good because the recoil is largely horizontal
Galil is very cost effective. It's better than SMGs and costs about as much as one.
MP9 is just the best smg considering price and use. Expect nerfs soon. MP5 on the other hand is garbage.
Famas and galil can still be equally as powerful as the M4/AK, it just takes time to get used to them.
I find FAMAS a bad purchase seeing MP9 is in the game. Unless you are in a really desperate situation I would never buy one.
Famas is good if you're fighting outside of close range and have the money. I only ever buy the MP9 if I'm fighting up close or am short on cash.
As someone with really good trigger control, CS is relatively easy game to play for me.
>galil
it's a T-side M4 with half the cost of a buy-round rifle
>mp9
dps. look at the firerate and compare. MP5SD has terrible armor penetration
>besides obviously m4/ak's and awp
thats all you need.
just go to a aim practice map and see the pattern of the guns, then practice the pattern, those weapons only need 1 to 3 shots to kill
Lot of it is from CSGO but still applies. VooCSGO and WarOwl have plenty of guides.
Anyway only guns that matter are:
T-side:
>Glock
>Tec 9/Deagle (when poor)
>Mac 10
>Galil
>AK-47
CT-side
>USPS
>Five Seven/Deagle (when poor)
>MP9
>M4A1-S (god gun, no recoil or movement penalty, use like you're playing call of duty)
>I've been trying to learn CS2 and is there any good resource/guide that explains the use of every gun?
QRD
>I want to get free instant kill headshots and play on literal infant difficulty
M4/AK
>I want instant kill ANYWHERE shots
AWP
>I want to play the game
Literally every other gun
Everyone saying otherwise is lying to you.
M4 doesn't instakill on headshot
Didn't they change it so the M4 does but the M4-A1s doesn't?
No. Only AUG does and only at point blank range, a couple of meters away and it's 99 damage. Deliberate decision since CTs have defender advantage.
There's basically 4 loadouts
>full eco
your fav pistol
>force buy
your team has an ok loadout enough to win a round so you dump all your money
>partial buy
you have enough for SMG/SG and some utility
>full buy
your buy your fav weapon and all utility
your primary weapon of choice is basically 3 different weapons max
>starting pistol
>tier 1 pistol
>tier 2 (smg/sg)
>tier 3 (ak/m4)
just pick one of each and learn its functions
example
AK 1 shots headshots but lacks accuracy
M4 is accurate but can't oneshot
OH NO NO NO NO NO NO NO
AMERIFATS what do we do?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
QUICK BLAME THE ZIONIST OVERLORDS
I don't get why they would make the launch of their "new" counter-strike a complete non event by just replacing CSGO with a patch one day
it should have been an epic event. the culmination of 23 years. it should have been poggers. instead I care about this about as much as the grimdark call of duty modern warfare sequel that's coming out like 5 months after the last one
they dont need to try. it is fricking counter strike.
it made million in skins the very first day it launched.
that's why valorant is watched more and every single teenager plays it instead of csgo which is only played by 20+ gays
valve continues like this riot games is going to replace them completely in 10 years
>that's why valorant is watched more and every single teenager plays it instead of csgo which is only played by 20+ gays
delusion
Valorant has people quitting all the time. Besides what game has actually managed to constantly find new populations of Zoomers? Call of Duty and FIFA are all I can think of.
fortnite
>it made million in skins the very first day it launched
csgo didnt launch with skins
csgo was trash until valve stepped in and fixed it
even then it took ~1 year of constant updates to bring the game to a point where people actually played it and switched over from 1.6
>they should do like my corporate shooters and promote twitch streamers
Think about that for a while, maybe you figure out why they rather not.
I already noticed I was having a lot of strange moments in competitive, and also survived a lot of situations by looking down where I thought I'd get shot for sure.
>be mostly LE or LEM in CS:GO, was up to SMFC at one point, all soloqueing
>struggle a bit to get a rank in CS2 mostly because teammates are absolute monkeys
>get rank
>1,500
>1 million concurrent players
>still NO option to only queue with other solo players
I was supreme too and I get anihilated by 5man stacks regularly while I have polish subhumans in my team every fricking day
but 1500 rating shows you are a huge shitter no offense, I get 30+kills against 10k players, still unranked atm I got banned 14days again
two reports and I get max ban duration, happens often when I get a moronic 1v5 or 1v4 clutch
yeah, sure.
Having aggressive teammates also seems to work a lot better than it did in CS:GO.
you type like a disgusting eastern european dog
But this is how it always have been... since 1.6.
my casual Dust 2 experience the past 4 days
>Thursday
>average w/l & kill/death ratio. some games are even carried by me
>Friday
>suddenly some players with obvious aimbots run through the map headshotting everyone with desert eagle and spamming their hacker site link in chat
>Saturday
>game gets update. cant get any with a positive kill/death ratio
rip game already dead
Does valorant still require rootkits to play?
Do polar bears shit in the woods?
Why does office exist. insanely T sided
use flash and smoke nades
It's a legacy map but yes giving the defenders access to the better weapons is a horrible idea and when you make the map itself piss easy to defend it creates a nightmare.
Office servers themselves are known for being full of stoners too high to play because otherwise every T-side would win everything after pistol
because of the close quarters you don't even need to buy good rifles, just smgs and shotguns and then spam nades everywhere
CSGO's version was alright with the hostage way outside but now they're both deep into the nest so it's literally impossible to ever rescue a hostage, it's purely a deathmatch now.
They should just go back to the more chaotic style of the older hostage maps, it's not like it'll ever be considered competitive anyway.
it's pretty fun for casual.
why is people disconnecting in competitive so fricking common.
I don't see why they match people from all across the world. Why am I getting matched with fricking russians or spics
I have no clue, I live in western-Europe and sometimes play in servers with 7 ping (I assume Germany) and sometimes it's suddenly 28 ping and everyone is either doing cyka*~~) or GŪLŪ DŪLÜ OLSEN TURKIM???
ping seems to be lying.
played with a guy with 0 ping yesterday and he had a dutch accent and there was another guy that sounded eastern european.
i live in california and i was lagging like a motherfricker, rubber banding every 5 seconds and my weapons refusing to swap.
forgot to mention my in-game ping was like 26 and never changed even when i would get hit with a lag spike.
Ping you see in the game is from your game to the server, not there and back like ping usually means.
Fricking wild to me that I also now occasionally see americans playing on euro servers with like 80 latency.
That doesn't make sense.
I tend to get 100 ping when I play on the east coast in other games. In CS2 I get 80, that would mean my ping is 160.
It's not necessarily identical into both directions. Net_graph shows your actual ping. I remember getting maybe 3 latency in the scoreboard but actual ping of about 12 in net_graph.
Fair enough, I'll check it with Net_graph next.
You can open steam overlay to see what servers you're playing on now. Limiting your maximum acceptable ping setting helps a bit.
I've read somewhere you can't set it lower than 50 meaning I still connect to like 90% of the world.
So is the old version of CSGO with it's graphics, maps, assets, ect. just effectively deleted from the world now?
It's already cumbersome enough to use that the average player wouldn't stick to it.
it's zero upkeep so never
The guy criticizing CS2 speaks plain English. have a nice day and the zoomer headmate will be silenced.
THEY GOT RID OF CACHE AND DIDNT PUT ITALY IN COMP AIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
They didn't get rid of Cache, it's not a Valve owned map and the owner (who has a priority relation with Valve) is busy working on his other map Santorini before releasing Cache.
isnt it tuscan?
How about a petition to fix Artifact first?
just reduce the ping by 50
cs_office > de_dust2
prove me wrong
de_rats > you're favourite map
crackhouse > de_rats
no
>playing CS after 1.5
>he didn't play CSS glass maps
I feel sorry for you, you've never had fun in your life
Yes, CSS was only fun with modded content.
I'm sorry you never played WC3 FT in 1.5
So what you're saying is I can blame the game for missing my shots now?
Is Halo Infinite good now?
those two seem legit.
I love destroying people with audio cues in this game. It's also usually the easiest way to tell who's cheating, too.
>cheater trying to poison the well by posting legit gameplay
How pathetic.
>He's not cheating, he's just that good even though he knew somebody was going to be there and landed a single perfect shot!
I'm so glad I stopped playing online valve games, you frickers are everywhere
it's twitch staff
You're trying too hard. cs obviously has cheating and there are definitely plenty of blatantly obvious clips that expose cheaters but you Black folk need to stop posting clips that are perfectly normal shit anybody whose played enough CS would do.
>HOLY FRICK GUYS HE WAS AIMING AT THIS SPOT FOR 30 SECONDS ON CT BEFORE AN ENEMY CAME AROUND THE CORNER AND GET THIS, HE ONE SHOT HEADSHOT HIM! BLATANT CHEATING!!!
I imagine many clips make more sense with sound, but because this is Ganker the clips are posted with 0 context or audio.
I seen people obviously hack but never got kicked or accused because he had a rare skin
the moronic T sitting up there misses like 3 glock shots and then the guy turned on him hearing the shots, being this absolute autist about legit players and thinking theyre cheaters is insane, i know there is a lot of hackers, but i dont think a csgo major winner needs to cheat in the game, also doesnt even aimlock on the homie you can clearly see the panic spray and how he overshoots it, obv not hacker
Peeking like its halo (keeping the mouse head level and not moving the mouse left or right) is pretty common for a deagle player. If you treat like any other weapon, you're going to whiff hard.
i guess that quick snap does seem weird
bro he was just checking corners bro its just gamer memory bro that one specific wall is known to come to life and attack you bro
he just had a good gaming chair
those people practice it for 20 years you clueless homosexual
Surely being silent is more valuable than firing at random walls in hope of dinging someone.
Sure, walking silently into site while they already know you're there and getting headshot by someone holding an angle while your team is expecting you to draw attention as they go to the other site is much more valuable than wallbanging a common spot to potentially get a kill and force the already rotating enemy team to devote a ton of time to dealing with you.
>that one specific wall is known to come to life and attack you bro
Yes, both of those are actually really common spots to encounter people at.
>practice for 20 years
>now you can snap onto the head bone of an enemy player through 3 impenetrable walls
>for some reason you don't walk around the corners pre-aiming smoothly you just snap onto their head and stop for a moment
>you also have the known pro-gamer tick of shaking your mouse left to right to break the aimbot loc- I mean to uhhh...
That's just me though.
here maybe you will learn something, remember there are custom maps solely made to practice peaking, gl in game!
But how does shooting the wall benefit you in that situation?
Because you can shoot through it and kill him. Why are you commenting on games you don't know dick about?
This is why Valve doesn't make games anymore
i kinda just realized that the guy who spams these webms is just one schizo
Im simply gonna say it, 99% of people complaining about this shit arent even good enough to be affected by the shit they complain about. CS is one of the biggest communities of johns youll ever find, up there with league of legends and call of duty for "bruh its the games fault"
i remember this being in csgo too and they took a long ass time to fix it too.
>2012 Xbox 360 game
you keep saying this but wheres the proof?
it wasnt in the orange box
I have never seen the appeal behind visiting yet alone posting on the same website for almost 20 years
and yet here I am
it do be like that.
>tiny maps with the same 2 chokepoints contested every round
It's not the year 2000 anymore grandpa, play something modern.
What should I play instead?
peggle nights
Fortnite no build is actually kinda fun
Fortnite nobuild was honestly the shittiest shilling wave tbh
>Hey we took literally the only unique feature in our slop royale out and it's actually sooper cool and fun now guise
>I'm a real person!
have a nice day
please be nicer buddy
The game feels distinctly less fun and way more try hard than I recall CSS ever being.
I've just started playing it again for the first time in 15 years at least and it feels far more "meta" hardened and soulless. It's still okay but I'm not sure I get the impression the players are actually enjoying themselves, it's just ritual.
CSS was always the most laid back one.
Autists fear the prop_physics
>It's still okay but I'm not sure I get the impression the players are actually enjoying themselves, it's just ritual.
You're in good company. I've noticed most people on this board are morons incapable of realizing not everything is made for them and other people genuinely enjoy things they don't.
>I've just started playing it again for the first time in 15 years at least and it feels far more "meta" hardened and soulless.
you might also notice that players in general are better than 15 years ago due to better equipment, internet and knowledge. yes, even if they play on a more laid back public server. it's crazy, I know.
>Remove ADS from the game
>Everyone just uses the 1 gun that can ADS and 1 shot people
>Literally every other weapon in the game is a noob trap
CSGO was never good.
CSGO and the source engine was always shit and only now they b***h about it? Valve fans are fricked in the head
>CS:GO
>like counter strike source but dumber for some reason
>no interest
>zoomers eat it up
>valve announces CS2
>i think "woah"
>forget about it
>come back
>they literally just reskinned and renamed CS:GO
>CS:GO doesn't even exist anymore cause it's been renamed CS2
>it's still just CS:GO
>zero interest
GO already lost its sovl when they changed the guns to sound like peashooters.
Fricking TF2 still has an AWP that sounds like the AWP, they changed the most iconic firing sound because "muh esparts" or something, so stupid.
A decade and a half on this board and I'm beginning to wonder: do anons seriously not know what a reskin is? I ask this because it really is a tech illiterate board but do people seriously think engine upgrades are just new textures?
that's a rhetoric question, isnt it? just take a look around this thread and make an estimate of the average posters IQ.
you have a strange meaning for upgrade
game runs fine, sell some of your knives to buy a new PC poorgays
CS:GO players literally went through 10 years of updates fixing this kind of shit, just for it to go back to complete shit with CS2.
I'm so glad I quit this shit game back in 2016.
i love coming into these threads and seeing shitters seethe over crosshair placement and calling it cheating
its the same guy baiting for you's every thread, he could easily post sussy shit but he intentionally takes clips of normal stuff
people like these genuinely baffle me. there's couple of other schizos on different boards on different threads who show up on threads 90% of the time. at some point I think the posts, and even replies themselves might be scripted/AI generated. at least I hope so, since surely doing this manually cant be good for your health (or what's left of it anyway.)
It's so comical that it feels like it must be bait but this board has also proven that it's absolutely dogshit at video games and regularly cries about cheaters in general like they're omnipresent so I can't be sure.
CS:GO had disjointed hitboxes like this too you fricking morons
going beyond the tick rate was a mistake the netcode is terrible
just play overwatch is better than cs
only trannies play cs2, especially those fatherless /trash/ ones
>oh look it's another thread about CS:GO
>I really hope some anon won't post the webms of shroud and others blatantly cheating and locking on enemy heads behind multiple layers of walls, that will rustle the jimmies of every third world subhuman that still tries to defend their favorite e-persona and the laughing stock that is their e-sports league
Oh well.
the only response to the one shroud clip posted was someone mocking people who defend cheating clips, you fricking schizo.
I'm a cheater in csgo and can tell you the clip of mirage people love to shitpost isn't cheating purely cause the game hasn't rendered the player from the position Shroud is standing, thus the cheat does not know he's there. It's a pure coincidence clip.
check out the cs subreddit. they tried debunking ops pic but then got rebunked by m0nesy himself. now they are in full damage control and meltdown mode. fricking reddit tards getting dunked on by some russian twink
>check out the subreddit
No, I don't think I will.
I cant even get my weekly rewards.
Fix your game Volvo!
reminder to just look at this thread to see how many low test and iq zoom zooms are on the board and how much they seethe at the highest skill cap FPS game on the market, lmao.
>game made for people who couldn't handle quake
>highest skill cop
buying skins doesnt require any skill at all though
Ganker has been filtered by CS for over a decade now. It's not a zoomer thing.
Some things off the top of my mind.
>wargames are kill
>tdm kill
>missing like half the maps
>workshop maps kill
>community servers kill
>achievements kill
>original soundtrack kill
>original soundtrack kill
if you don't know what youre talking, then about dont talk about it.
You don't know what I'm talking about. I'm referring to the fact that the original game score is missing a bunch of tracks, a byproduct of the panorama implementation and the way music kits are done now. A problem CS:2 inherits.
>wargames
You should know this if you play the game. The other game modes such as gungame, scoutsknives, everything that isn't comp matchmaking or ffa deathmatch.
tdm is still in
original soundtrack is a music kit now
>wargames
whats that
they made the game more garbage, unbelievable
>comp is still per map
Valve should add a new AR to the game or at least new skins for weapons that actually changed the model instead of turning them pink.
I don't care if some swedish boomer autist "e sports" player wants weapons to be easily identifiable by their models.
>I don't care if some swedish boomer autist "e sports" player wants weapons to be easily identifiable by their models
Okay, so you're not the target audience.
The target audience is a bunch of moronic yuro and south american "professional" video game players?
The target audience are people who want the game to be more competitive, if anything, and not less.
What will it take for people to realize that E-Sports is a cancer in the world video games that must be eradicated?
For people who like different things than you to be eradicated.
you have plenty games which cater to low iq morons, why dont you frick off there
Maybe if you weren't possibly underage and unemployed you'd realize there's more to this hobby than an unhealthy obsession around bread and circuses being applied to it as well.
