even with the mod i still have to play the moronic "where's waldo" minigame with the boxes and end up missing 1 or 2 our of 300.
no it's not a skill issue, your game is just dogshit, missing 1 box out of a 300 is not a deficiency in skill

Seems like it mostly fixes earlier stages really.
To have the same design as the old games, number of boxes should be cut by 80%. I am on the 3rd or 4th dimension and I already have 99 lives because of ludicrously high number of boxes per level.
I don't think there are so many more boxes relatively to the length of the levels. The bigger problem is that the levels themselves are 3 or 4 times longer.
People always talk about the lives being hard mode but honestly it makes no fricking difference with how many of those gold 25 wumpa boxes you get
