Yea I think so. Gambling is fun every once in a while. I prefer my local horse track over Vegas anyways because it's 20 minutes away and I've won money several times. I mostly spend it on drinks though.
That's the best way to do it. Treat it like carnival tickets, expect to have none when you leave, and just make them last as long as possible while still having fun.
