I prefer ck2, mostly because it lets me start at basically any point in time.
I hate being limited to two start in 3.
Sometime I just want to start a game as the kingdom of Jerusalem
>casualized RPG lite gameplay >game goes 3d to sell DLC skins >frankensteins existing mechanics for DLCs
many such cases, see: Creative Assembly, Darkest Dungeon 2
Itll be good when they >add depth to culture and religion >remove homosexual and poop events >give events actual purpose in the world >remove modern political ideals from events >add government types like horse lords >have an actual building system that lets you have more than 4 buildings in a city >make it so your heir isnt always fornicating with some random gilf or being a homosexual by the time you get to play as them >add actual difficulty to the game by making a loss of your levies a punishment by having it take more than a month to refill
Theyre not even making dlc with real content
No they can't. Bame one mod from any game that fixes the husks of games modern developers make these days. No modder is going to make thousands of events that make sense. The only mod that adds realism and depth to the game right now is the obfusckate mod

, mods never fixed anything
Even Skyrim, the origin of "mods will fix it" doesn't have any of its core flaws fixed. And it's a game with a creation kit.
When I hear "mods will fix it", most of the time the game doesn't have any official modding tool or documentation. People see mods as some kind of internet magic that produces content out of nowhere but no. It's a few amateurs doing painfully boring work on their free time, which means they usually have autism and thus trannism. We can't count on that to fix any game.
>add actual difficulty to the game by making a loss of your levies a punishment by having it take more than a month to refill
That' something I hate about almost all strategy games like this. A major war that kills off 4/5ths of your 16~45 year old male population should have catastrophic downstream effects on your kingdom.
I'll keep waiting for more expansions, but I like what's being put into them so far. I would love some earlier start dates (Loved the Charlemagne start time in CK2), and I wouldn't mind seeing a Nascent Islam expansion upon Muhammad's death and the schism of Sunni and Shia Islam.
Same problem that Bannerlord and Bethesda games have, their previous game was good enough to attract a modding community and the modding community carried the game to new heights. New game does not have the same modding support which leads to a death spiral
>not good enough compared to original without mods >which leads it to not attract modders >which leads it to continue to lack mods
Is there a Game of Thrones total conversion mod yet? Unironically the GoT mod for CK2 is probably the best Paradox Game out there and is infinitely more fun than anything they have put out themselves since Vicky II.
It's trash and it will never reach the amount of content CK2 has. Not even talking about the quality of that content. And I don't even like CK2 that much.
It's so bad but with such a unique and interesting niche (strategy-RPG) it made me start my own game.
I'd rather list the few good points that I like: >stress system
It enforces your character personality so you can't just ignore it and play optimally, but you still have some margin to make choices and not be a caricatural avatar of your traits >culture and religion edition systems
I like that you aren't locked into one playstyle because of your starting country. Like being forced to play with ships the whole game because you picked the UK or being forced to play cavalry because you picked France.
Having some cultural traits relient on your territories is also cool. >inheritance laws and the focus on the entire dynasty more than the main branch of your family
I like that the game splits your kingdom upon death. I hated it at first because I was playing it like any map painter but then you realize your dynasty points grow more if you have dynasty members as independent rulers and it all makes sense. I just wish the AI was more active so I wouldn't be the only one doing anything to grow our influence, because the problem is that you quickly get surrounded by family members and can't really wage war anymore, but your cousins don't do jack shit. >3D models
They're pretty good. I just wish the hair colors were better and that giants didn't have a locked height because a max height normal guy is taller than a giant which is dumb.
I played it a heap when it released but now I've soured on it. Basically, I got pissed off that Paradox kept releasing DLC for NU SHIT! instead of adding mechanics that would make the base concepts work semi-historically.
So the best example is that if you play at year 867 and make it all the way to 1100 absolutely nothing like the Norman invasion of England happens, or in fact could happen. The games mechanics don't really simulate the kinds of things "shown" in the game.
I lost faith in the game after realising this.
Never played CK2, might do it in future now I'm familiar with the concept.
Fantastic game, saddled with dogshit DLC and moronic A.I. during wartime. It's also not incredibly difficult of a game, unless you go out of your way to handicap yourself. 9/10 game, would be perfect if the combat A.I. wasn't lobotomized
It's too easy and extremely tedious to play.
Too many events without consequence, too many pop ups, military system is even more brainded than in CK2 despite the addition of Men at Arms.
I started a game as Brittany and in about 200 years I controlled the coast of France, the Iberian peninsula, the entirety of Egypt and the Arabian empire, Constantinople and Rome.
I miss CK2 but I can't find creamapi anymore and I can't be arsed to play without all the DLC.
contract system and releasing people in return for things is great
everything else is trash
contract system and releasing people in return for things is trash
everything else is great
hey
Still needs a few more years till it's good.
I prefer ck2, mostly because it lets me start at basically any point in time.
I hate being limited to two start in 3.
Sometime I just want to start a game as the kingdom of Jerusalem
I think they only did the 2 because like 90% of people did Vikings 867 or Normans 1066
I always did Charlemagne 769 because I liked to play longer. I literally NEVER did the start dates later than 1066.
I don’t think I ever finished a game of CK.
I always grow bored with the world before the end. So the time issue isn’t a problem for me.
I tried liking it but couldn't. Just went back to ck2.
>casualized RPG lite gameplay

Nope, CK2 is still so better.

>>have an actual building system that lets you have more than 4 buildings in a city
Certain techs now give you more buildings
t. King of Cyprus with 7 buildings in my barony
>add actual difficulty to the game by making a loss of your levies a punishment by having it take more than a month to refill
That' something I hate about almost all strategy games like this. A major war that kills off 4/5ths of your 16~45 year old male population should have catastrophic downstream effects on your kingdom.
Every ck3 run is literally
>search character
>filter genius only
>propose marriage
>rush blood legacy
The fun is in limiting yourself, Black person
For me, it's
>rush zealot perks
>found new incest witch religion
>found witch coven
>frick my sister-wife
>frick my mom-wife
>frick my daughter-wife
I'll keep waiting for more expansions, but I like what's being put into them so far. I would love some earlier start dates (Loved the Charlemagne start time in CK2), and I wouldn't mind seeing a Nascent Islam expansion upon Muhammad's death and the schism of Sunni and Shia Islam.
Mostly I want more pagan religions in the game.
What's the point of this game when you can't win in it?
To have fun watching all of the hoopla unfold
By this logic watching paint dry is also fun as frick because you can watch the paint drying unfold.
Some of us don't have deep-fried dopamine receptors, Zoomer.
>Unironically thinking watching paint dry is fun as frick
You will never be a woman.
You will never be a man.
I am a man though, just like you. And simply because you've cut your dick off doesn't mean that you are a woman.
>"I must fantasize about the wiener of the man/troony I am arguing with"
You're a gay, son
>son
At least I understand that I'm a man, while you use dangerous drugs and cut parts of your body to pretend that you are a woman.
You think more about trannies than troons do
>NOOOOOOOOO STOP BEING TRANSPHOBIC, CHUD. I AM A WOMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA -ACK
Wrong, you will never be a woman.
And that's a good thing
Same problem that Bannerlord and Bethesda games have, their previous game was good enough to attract a modding community and the modding community carried the game to new heights. New game does not have the same modding support which leads to a death spiral

Maybe in 2040 when they finish releasing the DLCs
It's trash and it will never reach the amount of content CK2 has. Not even talking about the quality of that content. And I don't even like CK2 that much.

It's alright
The perk/talent tree is moronic
Fantastic game, saddled with dogshit DLC and moronic A.I. during wartime. It's also not incredibly difficult of a game, unless you go out of your way to handicap yourself. 9/10 game, would be perfect if the combat A.I. wasn't lobotomized
Can't really play it because I end up fapping hard every time I play
Don't like the 3d models dramatically posing like they're in a cartoon
It's too easy and extremely tedious to play.
Too many events without consequence, too many pop ups, military system is even more brainded than in CK2 despite the addition of Men at Arms.

Needs an anthro DNA replacer mod so I can tolerate playing non-white characters beyond shitpost runs and coom
