Crusader Kings 3 Prices retroactively raised
>Be Paradox a company already shat on for it's dlc practices
>release base game that is mostly bug free and stable but shallow
>take 2 years to do the 2 flavor packs and 1 expansion in your deluxe edition
>none of the flavor packs and expansion were worth the price
>modders shit out higher quality stuff faster and for free
>decide to come back from your swedish summer break and immediately double the price of shit.

Name a more moronic company.

They're doing this shit to push their subscription service, aren't they?

Yes, which they only ever created because of infamously high levels of piracy of their DLC

Greediest fricking company ever. People should never buy their DLC's.

Why all swedish video game companies do this shit?

Stellaris only had one 20$ DLC that came close to being worth the price (as far as DLCs go, because you can just buy a good game with that money) and it was Utopia, but then Utopia's main mechanic of the tradition system was so good they decided to add it to the base game and now the DLC is just as worth as other 20$ DLCs, which is not at all.

iu dont like defending paradox, but $12 twice a year is not asking a whole lot. wait for a sale or pirate it if you have a problem with the pricing

if you're pirating the game and dlcs already i dont get why you'd even care about a $4 price increase.

ok I'll pay but only if they pay me $12 for every dumb update that affects the game in a way i dont like. that's fair right?

    don't care, still pirating.

The funniest part of the DLC/flavor packs is that even on their release they aren't finished, they have to spend another month adding content to them that should have been there at dlc/favor launch. Needed a month to add israelite events to Iberia and Mozarabs are still buggy.
It's crazy how they frick up developing games that are 80% made in notepad++.

if you dont pirate paradox games, you deserve to be treated like a moron just like this. literally anyone with two eyes and some brain cells would, for example, go
    >see hearts of iron 4 on steam
    >ok, looks cool
    >oh it costs extra money to use spearhead orders
    >oh it costs extra money to stop your ships from going in a certain region
    >oh it costs extra money to update the supply mechanic
    >oh it costs extra money to convert equipment
    >oh it costs extra money to embargo nations
    >lol frick this

the worst part is that this trail mix approach to developing games makes sure that the end result doesn't feel cohesive. stellaris legitimately feels like a shitty community mod pack.

Nordic are fine, they don't overcharge and generally stick to their AA space.
