I haven't really been following the worlds drama but I used pkhex for my regionals team earlier this year. How were they caught? Was it encryption constants or something? You can look that up in the program

Also too lazy to buy a 2 year old game second hand (and then crying about muh 60 dollars when they can afford to spend thousands for flying to japan).
They needed to hack it on the proper game then transfer it to home. They didn't do that, and you literally could only get them from 1 game, so it was super obvious they were genned.
There is 0 doubt that other players aren't using gened pokemon too, but they likely weren't so brazenly stupid about it.
But I also understand, Nintendo can't tell their audience that all their best players can't be assed to even play the game, that's negative advertisement
