i got a crystal cartridge before they marked them up to absurd prices i really wish i was more vigilant on getting an emerald cartridge back then all i got to settle on is my repo cart of that
I'm the opposite. I got XD and Emerald before they completely skyrocketed, but not Crystal. My little brother lost my old copy.
I've always loved what they did with the back of that cart and always hated that they didn't do it for us

My friend was telling me that I should sell all my old Pokémon games on eBay. I just checked and Crystal in particular goes for like $100. So if I sold all my old games, I would probably make less than $1k. Wtf? A lot of those games were Christmas presents from my deceased grandparents. They have sentimental value. I might want to pass them down to my own kids someday if I ever have them. I feel insulted that someone would tell me to sell them for less money than I'd make in one week of working at the office. Do normalgays really?

my crystal cart is all yellowed and the sticker is all wrinkled, should i restore the cart and put a new sticker on it or leave it as it is?
If you're going to replace the sticker anyway, then the better option is to sell it and then buy another cartridge with a missing sticker and then replace that one. Depends on the sticker condition but you'll probably make a few bucks since people are really into original stickers

I threw out my yellow, red, ruby, sapphire, gold and silver cartridges years ago. Thought pokemon was dead honestly. Now wish I had kept them to sell to you cucks. All of them were in pristine condition. Stored in a closed box for decades

Why do the crystal repos always look like this? Is it really that hard to make the gameboy color carts?
the crystal one in particular is because of the glitter
I know the color is off but the cart looks to have a bit of glitter on it. The most glaring difference is the cart shape. i have never seen a crystal repo with the game boy color bump
it doesnt look like glitter to me, just the sheen from the plastic finish. evident by the gloss section not having any glitter
Crystal is a nonstandard clear plastic with a specific ratio of glitter.
There are Cloud Game Store reproduction shells these days but they haven't quite hit the right ratio of glitter, and more importantly their back piece is designed so that when the DMG/OG gameboy power switch is turned on, it doesn't clip into the corner of the shell like it does on real GBC shells.
Honestly not sure why repros aren't trying to use these shells since they can fool a lot more people
