New update teasers on twitter; showcases new buy menu and user-made loadouts that allow 5 guns from each category to be bought (CT's can now choose to buy themselves an M4A4 or M4A1-S without a request) thoughts?

Cs2 is not diverse enough, dropped

Agreed, I think the dualies probably wont see the light of day either, the R8 or CZ are much more common

Funnily enough it mechanically seems like a copy and paste from valorant

CSGO only kept that moronic wheel because it was originally a console port.

We're just going back to the classic grid/list that CS actually used.

No one is ever gonna put the autosniper in their loadout. Hopefully this means they will make significant changes to that weapon and other moronic pointless weapons.

Yeah, this is going to make stuff like random sawn-off plays even rarer than they are now. A pointless change that gives players enough room for all meta weapons and currently rare buys might as well not exist with this change.

nope, mechanically it's a copy and paste from original counter strike

oh nevermind you're talking about the return mechanic. should stay in valorant tbh

My apologies, I should've been more clear. The buy menu's look and its functionality (refunds) appear just like valorants. I guess the wheel, which was completely fine, was too intimidating to new players?

That's based, frick weapon wheels in any form, it's console homosexualry.
              t. I doesn't even play CS, but frick weapon wheels still.

My thoughts are Valve should finish Artifact Foundry and hold the million-dollar tournament.

Valve screwed over the Artifact fanbase by cancelling the Artifact 2.0 beta without even allowing users to invite friends like they said they would in January 2021 and does not deserve your financial support for these gross consumer-unfriendly practices.

Fricking moronic change, forces players to play only meta weapons. Valve is completely out of touch as usual.

It should be the simplest thing in the world -- it just needs to be exactly like CSGO -- but I just know Valve will find a way to frick this one up and kill their own game.

They do not know the absolute FILTH those things produce when you learn how to use them correctly.

Battlefield is better but I wish every bf game had a close quarters playlist. bf2's cq expansion was my favorite thing ever.

This looks more and more like they'll introduce customization. Also the new FAMAS sound feels infinitely better than the previous one.

Refunds are nice, the loadouts sounds gay.

Limiting the number per gun type (smg and heavy for some reason?) is stupid and arbitrary. The number of the selections is also too small, you could fit quite a few more.
Finally, open the fricking beta Valve

    >all those bot tier "LOOK AT THIS W" comments on the one about the loadout
I genuinely don't understand, the only good thing about it is that you can pick between the M4A1 and A4 but if you do that you're sacrificing a pointless limited slot.

I think this is them introducing "specialization" without actually introducing any "hero classes".

Basically with a limited loadout for each match, CS2 has now introduced an even bigger opportunity cost for weapons beyond money. I expect this will lead to them introducing more weapons, buffing weaker weapons, and a lot of other stuff that'll make players think about what guns they'll have to bring on their person.

I could be wrong though but design-wise this is how I see this thing play out.

I don't see them introducing new weapons outside Danger Zone 2.0

There's no reason to introduce that type of system into CS though, especially if it's in the casual mode.
