No, people who play comp take all change the hardest. They were changed because a lot of them were legitimately bad, the AK one was always an ear-rape, even if it was an iconic one (plus it was a stock sound effect and hearing it in The Mummy pissed me off).
The AWP sound I do miss though, if only because it put the fear of God in everyone who heard it. The pistols especially sounded like complete fricking ass before the sound update.
I haven't played CS2 yet but in CSGO the AK sounds like how a real AK should but the AWP sounds less beefy than it did in CSS and 1.6.

custom maps are a thing, same as custom servers, but i dunno about how hosting servers in cs2 works. could be same shit like in dota 2, where instead of custom servers it's custom gamemodes.
there is info on vscript 2 which will allow custom scripting in maps and/or creation of custom gamemodes.

Just remember that you are part of a team in competitive, meaning you can't mute everyone you dislike and expect to win. Later when you are more skilled you'll even be able to control your teammates by understanding them quicker and utilizing their abilities in a better way. I'm Russian so I play Dota 2 and CS:GO every weekend with friends and everytime when our party isn't full and we play with randoms I try to inspire these randoms to play better and cooperate by commending good communication and skill. You can even make friends to play together later if you do this. Of course if someone is beyond salvation and he's throwing the game and griefing - call him a degenerate Black person and report.

They understand you, just ask to speak English in voice and don't be a dick about it, otherwise they'll just laugh at you and it'll lead to nowhere. If there are more than 2 slavs it usually means you are playing eastern Europe because teams of 3 and more rarely pick servers with higher ping and stay within their region. I sometimes play other regions like NA at night despite high ping to test something new because Americans are usually weaker but other than that I always pick Russia/EU. From my experience, however it is probably biased, but it is easier to make a Russian to agree to speak English than some Hispanic, Mexican, Italian or sometimes German, simply because more Russians understand English and can speak it even if they make a lot of mistakes. Always cracks me up when I hear Russian with bad English talking to an English speaking team while trying to avoid using Russian names for weapons/locations and game mechanics.

yes it does store it somewhere. But after one update tf2 by default automatically deletes temp files (sprays are one of them) on exit, so you have to uncheck this option

The new look of the game is normalgay friendly so I guess there's that, but the feel of the game being traded for that isn't worth it, and I like the muted colors of csgo better anyhow. Whatever we'll see bros, I think shutting down csgo is an awful decision if they're really doing it though.

It's not. I don't want to be a snarky plebbitor and ask if you've played cs a lot, but one of the best parts about it is the extremely fluid movement. There is a very noticeable clunk to the movement that feels heavier and it's just a bit off. This has been repeated by pretty much every pro player as well, and I only learned that because I googled it after trying it myself first and noticing.
I've played plenty of both games. I'm just curious what's "off" exactly. I'm sure there are some good answers, but I can't think of any.
