>new DLC >first boss most players will fight >unique knockout screen that fits the boss stage >"oh that's a cool touch, I wonder if that's new in the DLC"
Well for those people: Lesson learned, now they know.

Not to mention that, compared to Goopy Le Grande, it's a way more intentional effort to trick people
We spent so much time bickering over who was fricking up the least prior, that we got a bit ahead of ourselves at the end when we finally thought it was over.
>that mob theme >that soundtrack >the ant cops insecticed actually hurts the boss spider aswell >the bugs contracted an anteater to kill the ant cops >that fake out
absolute pure fricking soul. This may be my favorite boss in the whole game.
Tied with this one. However, the dog girl utterly refused to give me an S rank and always found some bullshit to punish me just enough to go from S to A+
I decided to replay the base game before heading into the DLC, I just got there and beat the spider mob and the giant.
Is it me or are they getting a bit too ridiculous with all the different kinds of shit they throw at you at the same time? Especially the first phase of the giant, there's the different attacks from the giant itself, then there's the pillars moving up and down which add another wrinkle to the fight, then you can't touch the ground for long or you get jabbed, ALSO there's gnomes trying to hit you with hammers, AND ALSO they shoot projectiles at you. Jesus christ what a shitshow, luckily this phase is relatively short.
The animation is on a whole nother level tho, holy shit it's somehow even more smooth than the base game.
I think the anteater looks fine, it's the little gnomes that rub me the wrong way. The tiny pupil eyes look too different from the bigger fleisscher-style eyes.
i think its because they drew his fur the way they did

I think Crackshot is pretty much essential to S-rank Saltbaker. There's just too much stuff going on in the first phase to actually have time to aim at him.
Is Crackshot really that good? I'm at Saltbaker right now and I've been running Converge/Eight-Way. It didn't seem that strong when fighting some of the earlier DLC bosses.
Doing Saltbaker 1st phase on expert with Charge Shot for example is about 10 seconds faster than with Crackshot, except it's much harder because you have to consciously aim while you avoid everything. It's just not worth passing up in this case.
Did anyone else have trouble getting the Hearty achievement? I got the 3 hearts in Dice King's stage, but when I parry his card, my hearts went down. What gives?
What I did is I equipped the charm that lets you get hearts by parrying
then I went to the king dice level, I farmed hearts on the tipsy trio stage with parry
after that I got the 3 hearts from the wheel
It seems there is a way to get it with the genie but I have no idea how
The cut Phase 2 of the devil fight originally had his hands out like that. It's just a nightmare that they are having about the fact the devil tried/is trying to take their souls
It's just a scrapped phase from the Devil fight that they reused as a secret boss. If you really want to look into it though, the angel is probably what he used to look like before he fell.
Wow, that's really cool. I didn't notice the skeleton was holding the arena.
Man, it's crazy how much was cut in the first game that was fully animated and even half-programmed. For something they drew on paper, that must be a lot of wasted hours.

r.
>clearly fake knockout screen with the fly tape
Totally fair, should have been paying better attention.
it's most people's first dlc boss so they would probably think that the new knockout is a feature of the dlc, not because of the boss
Well for those people: Lesson learned, now they know.
>new DLC
>first boss most players will fight
>unique knockout screen that fits the boss stage
>"oh that's a cool touch, I wonder if that's new in the DLC"
Lmao idoit Gnome way out is first boss
They're both unlocked at the start
>game doesn't freeze briefly
>there's plenty of time after to still dodge the slow attack
Do people honestly stop looking at the screen?
>first boss most players will fight
This is completely wrong
I fought it first so it's right
Not to mention that, compared to Goopy Le Grande, it's a way more intentional effort to trick people
dunkey's reaction was better
Keep saying
Just watched it. Hilarious
Post it
why is he wearing sunglasses indoors
He's probably high
>fake KO screen with unique death message
What the frick bros, you told me modern games don't have SOUL.
>playing two player with friend
>we both thought we'd beat it and started celebrated
>both end up getting sniped
This fricking boss.
You shouldn't stop paying attention until you see that results screen.
We spent so much time bickering over who was fricking up the least prior, that we got a bit ahead of ourselves at the end when we finally thought it was over.
>anteater has two mouths and two tongues
What the actual frick
Still more accurate than Arthur.
This is a common error in classic cartoons, it's probably intentional
>that resolution
are you playing at 360p
are you actually moronic?
are you?
A lot of cartoons used to do that, especially with characters with beaks
git gud homosexual
Git gud, maybe instead of head banging for your epic stream you watch the game.
>babies first kaizo trap
Are you going to spam this same thread daily for the next 2 weeks?

absolute pure fricking soul. This may be my favorite boss in the whole game.
So kino
it's literally just a rehash of the cat & mouse boss
That's the easiest DLC boss, already finished with it, and frankly, the DLC was a bit too easy
>easiest DLC boss
Nah, that's the giant
He was the hardest for me, those lil gnomes kept fricking me over
Crackshot cleans them up nicely.
>Crackshot
my autism doesn't allow me to use auto-aimers
Suit yourself. You could also probably use the elec attack for the wide spread.
my autism does allow for that, I've been going ham with it
Those little fricks. They're the actually tricky part of this phase. The new triple electric shot is pretty good for them.
NTA but I've only done two bosses (Giant & Mob) and both were pretty easy with Roundabout
Roundabout is still my fave basic weapon. More run n' guns need one like it.
Tied with this one. However, the dog girl utterly refused to give me an S rank and always found some bullshit to punish me just enough to go from S to A+
GOD DAYUM
Still harder than the base game
I decided to replay the base game before heading into the DLC, I just got there and beat the spider mob and the giant.

git gud
The bosses aren't hard if you use the autoaim shots and ms chalice.
Flitered. I beat him first time without getting fricked by the snail because i paid attention to the fact i could still move cuphead
>made clear example about the snail when the anteater appeared
Not even a real fake out
the anteater doesn't fit in with the artstyle of the game
looks like some calarts stuff in comparison
>calarts
You are mentally ill
i think its because they drew his fur the way they did
?
round mouths cause this much seethe
I think the anteater looks fine, it's the little gnomes that rub me the wrong way. The tiny pupil eyes look too different from the bigger fleisscher-style eyes.
shut up moron
Jesus Christ you just eviscerated that guy
I can't believe cal-arts transcends time
looks different though
no?
it does though
the tufts of fur here aren't as fat and his mouth isn't as round in the pictures you have provided here
led to hold my attention for more than 2 hours.
>reddithead
these threads are dead just like the game deservs
this is why I accept shadow posters.
>shovelware the reddithog
>Saltbaker screaming into his third phase
Saltbaker got that dumpy tho
>get stuck on Saltbaker
>realise how broken crackshot is
I mean I technically won, but at what cost
Did I really win at all
A win's a win
I think Crackshot is pretty much essential to S-rank Saltbaker. There's just too much stuff going on in the first phase to actually have time to aim at him.

It's like Chaser but not shit

>Crackshot
you didn't beat Saltbaker
I got a crack for you
AAAAAAAAAAAA I HATE THE FRICKING SET DASH DISTANCE AND SET JUMP HEIGHT IN THIS FRICKING GAME
>DSP beat the entire DLC in 2 1/2 hours
Unironically git gud
if you cheat by using smoke bomb or the auto aim weapons, sure, you can beat it first time in less than 2 hours

What's the lore on these two?
I notice the skeleton matches the devil from the main game.
The cut Phase 2 of the devil fight originally had his hands out like that. It's just a nightmare that they are having about the fact the devil tried/is trying to take their souls

>CUP HEAAAAAAD

Wait, you can parry the tongue?
It's pink, isn't it?
I mean, if yours is a different color, maybe you should see a doctor?
