play up to chapter 3 - chapters 1 and 2 don't really represent the game well and are more like intro sections
chapter 3 is where the game actually starts to give you tools to tackle enemies even if the majority of the game is linear
Ive tried to play it three times and stopped each time, even by chapter 3. I don't have a single complaint about it. For some reason it just never keeps my interest.
It's worth pushing through for Ruvik, he's easily in my top 5 horror antagonists of all time. Shame he's stuck in such a heavily flawed game, he's one of very few video game villains that actually feels legitimately threatening and intimidating
>Still hoping we get a third and final game to close the story.
Wasn't it in the Bethesda leads fairly recently that they're working on TEW3 and Ghostwire 2?
Ghostwire 2 yeah. But TEW3 didnt appear anywhere in the leaks. Thats not being worked on. You might have confused it with Dishonored 3 which was listed
Only rumors and hints so far. Ghostwire was okay. A lot of good ideas with the setting, story, characters and combat, but the results were pretty average.
its like someone made a generic re4 clone but got every component wrong
it's cold fear but in the head of a moron instead of on a boat.
EW apologists will get the rope soon
the blackest night will come and your kind will be raped to sleep by the frickwraiths.
remember when the devs forced this to run at 21:9 with massive black bars on both consoles and pc for it to be more "cinematic"
what the frick was up with that
I really liked it, but be ready for some clunk.
Also, later in the story you will encounter enemies that can 1 hit kill you and that's pretty annoying.
Loved the atmosphere and levels though.
This is one of my favorite horror games. I just replayed it a month ago. It compelled my to finally try out ghostwire which i just finished yesterday and i was surprised by how bad it was compared to evil within.
Schizo kino
only annoying part is if you explore in the wrong direction youll progress the story and cant back track for loot
Fun B movie-esque game with an interesting concept and cool bosses. I hope you enjoy it. If you do end up liking it, give TEW2 a go too.
I probably will if I like the first, since it'll be free on epic
A bad stealth game made by a homosexual who's entire personality is "I headlined RE1's development"
im playing it now and stealth seems like it is almost never an option.
I dropped it for that reason.
And Dino Crisis, and RE4, and God Hand, and Vanquish, and motherfricking GOOF TROOP.
So raw sewage?
You're gonna have to try a little bit harder than that anon.
No spoilers but theres some Evil and it is inside of something. Enjoy.
GOOD MORNING SIRS DO THE NEEDFUL REDEEM EPIC GEME STORE
best horror game ever made
The start is very borimg but it gets fun from chapter 3 and onward. Also never upgrade melee, its useless.
Pure kino, RE4 but better in every way. Make sure you play on nightmare or akumu on your second playthrough for the authentic experience
a fun survival horror game that overstays its welcome and shits the bed towards the end

I liked Ruvik too. A real psychopath but at the same time you feel a bit sorry for him. Still hoping we get a third and final game to close the story.

Did you also like Stefano?
I didn't play more than an hour of the second game, I didn't like it

evil, of the within nature
never, EVER do that again.
it's like if re4 was survival horror
It’s like if your mom was your dad
no, I don't think it's like that at all
It is doe
a deer?
What the frick you can play this game entirely in first person view now?
Kino. I'll give it a try.
it's doofy but fun
You're in for the shortest sprint meter in any game ever.

>what the frick was up with thatwhat the frick was up with that
That was the only way they could get it to run at okay framerate, massive black bars. Reminder that TEW at launch barely worked.
The black bars were clearly added late because they meant you had to pick up items without actually seeing them.
It's clear it was for some for of framerate deal because even on a PS4 Pro the thing drops frames in chapters 2 and 3 with it off.
The bastard child of Resident Evil 4 and God Hand.
Terrible bosses with one hit deaths
I dissapointing game. Thats much better in its first 2 chapters than what comes after. In a sad and constant nosedive in quality and design
A solid 8/10 for the first couple hours that steadily degrades into a 3/10 over the course of the game
I really liked it, but be ready for some clunk.

It's pretty neat. Interesting setting, great enemy and world design, unnerving and intense moments. Decent combat. The game starts at chapter 3.
I can only get this game to run good in windowed mode
Great atmospheric game with a couple of annoying sections. The sequel loses out on the atmosphere though but its still a great game.
What’s with the constant shilling of this decade old game? I’ve seen dozens of threads about this slop this month
It's currently free on Tim's store.
a reminder that re4 and godhand were flukes.
Really shitty game. Gameplay is stiff garbage. Instakills suck dick. Second game is both better and worse.
It's great, I replay it every couple years
