Why do we live, just to suffer anons?

Yes.
this and gotcha force were both kino GC robot games
man I played so much gotcha force as a kid, NG+ unlocked different colors for your main guy so I just kept doing it until I got all of them
Didn't they make like 2 sequels that sold like shit? Or were they shit because of the rights issue you mentioned?
They weren't really sequels but portable spin offs that lacked features of the main one if I remember correctly
The Gamecube game is the third game in the franchise. The DS game is pretty fun if you can get used to the controls, probably easy on actual hardware.
Synaptic Drive came out long ago, anon. Most people turned away due to no story mode and the artstyle. Still have not tried it myself, but I don't imagine it did well.
>Mostly Negative on Steam
Oh...
Damn that sucks, was really hoping it'd do well
the ds one is fantastic too
Massive nostalgia for this game but then I watch footage and realize that's all it is. Nostalgia. Game looks goofy as shit and I can't imagine ever playing it again.
Whatever happened to the Devs person Kickstarter project?
Pretty sure I heard about it like 2 years ago or something
It's called Synaptic Drive and it was an utter failure

My fellow run up and harass at melee bros
All I remember is that the world is flat(or is it???) and spending like 5 minutes refusing to let the bro character with the sexy sister use the bathroom
Reminder that nip paypigs get custom robo v2 this month for NSO while the west gets Pokémon Puzzle League
I thought LBX was extremely neat, was basically a fusion of Metabots, Custom Robo & Gotcha Force
Shame it ended up going the exact same route as all 3 and falling off the Earth forever
Frick
I picked up the game years ago, and liked getting the models when I could. They were neat. I should go back and finish the game some time.
I FRICKING love LBX/Danball Senki. Played all three games on the DS.
I like the game but my only problem with the constant Breaks after a chapters.
I made me feel like I was playing an anime more than a game.
It's not even that fricking good. The gameplay is incredibly barebones, the customisation isn't even deep, and worst of all is that it's a game based around customisation except all the parts are unlocked bit by bit through story progression instead of actually giving the player any fricking options on what to do at any given point. It would've been much better if it just had all the parts unlocked from the start and a money system to gradually buy them with.
but the gameplay is fun
and you can use meme weapons to make it more complex
I hate that mecha type shit has never picked up in the west. I thought people would like robot shit what happened?
Normalgays have even worse taste than you can possibly imagine, and mecha is practically entirely unpalatable to them because it's not "realistic" they screech as they wait in line for the latest Marvel schlock
Marcia a cute
Was anyone else a stubborn little autist when they played this as a kid and refused to switch from the Ray body?
>unique gameplay
>he didnt play heavy gear 1 or 2
>he didnt play mechwarrior 2 or 3
>he didn't play starsiege or earthsiege II
i really genuinely feel bad for consolehomosexuals sometimes.
Didn't play don't care no one else does either
LMAO

the decision not to port either game to the 64 is what ultimately doomed the series or at least stifled its potential
CUSTOM ROBO *robo homie voice*
DUDUDUDUDUDUDU
BANANANA NANANA BANANAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
>WAIT, THIS ISN'T A REAL TAXY
> *GLARK* *GLARK* *GLARK* *GLARK*
What did she mean by this?
this feels like a series that could blow up and be super popular with the right push
custom robo gacha next year
>that reveal that it's actually a post apocalyptic wasteland and you're living in a fricking dome city underground
>the whole world was destroyed by fricking demonic militarized toy robots
>you have to save the world by fighting the crazy evil AI toy robot
Weirdest twist for what felt like a kids game.
Actually what destroyed the world was some evil alien AI that after fricking up almost everything decided to possess a toy robot...and became trapped within, the fact the evil AI is now stuck in a toy is the reason why humanity can be fight him back now.
>actual frickign aliens
This game's plot is even weirder than I remember, I need to replay it again.
>that one part where you can say "nah I don't feel like saving the world" and your bro asks you literally like a hundred times if you're sure, and if you keep saying no you just get a game over screen because the world gets destroyed due to you doing nothing
lmao I never beat Custom Robo GC (Did play the N64 and DS one though) but all these franchises with small robots have wild stories.
Medarot : Aliens, ancient civilizations, soul trapping, time travel, cross-dressing
Danball Senki : Terror attacks using tiny robots, all sorts of crazy shit in the first two games. Third game is literally You go to an academy for fighting tiny robots and they have a huge 10km Earth model where different student groups fight for dominance. Without knowing the secret is that each group actually represents a real country and affects real life wars
It's more similar to Custom Robo but it's really its own thing. They're on the easy side minus the side content and the first game is slower than the rest but I found the games charming. Plenty of robots to collect, plenty of characters and shit to get.
You got a couple of attacks, an ultimate, guard button and dash and that's pretty much it I think.
You can also be really pushy about giving your watch midway through the game actually a memory-wiping device needed to combat the final boss away, forcing you to go all the way back and get it during the end sequence
the story made me laugh a lot, and the gameplay was good.
Was much easier as an adult than as a kid though.
>lost rights
when did Nintendo lose the rights to Custom Robo?
