Badlands took no effort to make. It's just a satellite data turned into a 3D video game world, with some copy pasted elements spread throughout. I actually wish it was bigger, so I could get the true experience of roaming the badlands.

I fricking wish the mega city style apartment neighborhoods were all open and had a lot in em, like V's apartment. It's crazy driving up to one and it's fricking nothing when it could be an entire environment inside, a whole neighborhood block in one building. Waste of potential.
If you use the double jump implants you can climb on a lot of roofs and sometimes reach an invisible ceiling way up high or you just pass through whatever's up there and can't climb higher.
Fricking nothing up there except the view, though. Just one-way walls and shit so you see nothing except cars on invisible roads, it's hilarious. Poorly placed ledges and stuff. Halls or paths that lead nowhere or windows floating off the walls but it looks good from the ground. That sort of things. I climbed a lot of the tallest buildings but I never found anything higher than about two double-jumps worth, except ofc for those places you can reach in missions by elevator.
I've been getting trapped out of bounds using the superjump to climb buildings. I've even rode the monorail, it's the same as riding a car, you can even get run over
I got trapped a few times but not out of bounds, but generally there's still something accessible to get back out. A couple times I fell entirely through a building and into the void under the map but the game would reload me back uptop.
I wanted to try the monorail but the one in like Watson is ass to get on there's like an invisible ceiling all over or something, and in the Corpo Plaza one never came on when I was on the rail.
They said pre-launch that the megabuildings would be cities within the city with their own economies, quests, characters, events and whatnot but unfortunately they lied.

there was a part in the anime where the guy had platinum coverage and the gang made it pretty clear they do not want to be in the way when trauma show up so I would assume they don't frick around if there is something in the way of their patient.
Honestly that situation just kinda weirded me out since TT had no way to know that V wasn't responsible for what happened to the girl, or that they weren't gonna try anything. I guess they didn't want to gun down the person holding their already injured client, but I would otherwise have expected them to just shoot you the second you put the girl down.

I mean, I can see a mechanic that similarly to all those NCPD bounties, gives some of the random pedestraian NPCs the "Trauma Team package" tag, and if you shoot them, Trauma Team shows up and fricks you up.
I can see this mechanic working, but it's a lot of programming effort for a very little gain, especially on this engine that clearly has issues with mass NPCs.
Problem as well since most of the time you're running and gunning, not just standing next to the npc you just killed for like, a minute straight. And if you indeed were off shooting somewhere else, TT wouldn't bother tracking you down, they'd collect the client (whose probably dead already anyway) and leave.
Yeah, but this might work during a larger 4-star cop chases for TT to just organically show up and start blasting everybody, gangoon and cop alike. But yeah, a lot of programming effort, very little gain.

Fun fact, you can get unique trauma team weapon skins and armor by grabbing them off their corpses. They even have unique classes even though you never fight them outside of encountering them in the freeroam.

I haven't finished yet (busy week) but I heard Reed's route is just way more complete, longer, offers more rewards and blah blah blah it's better in every way, and it kinda pisses me off because that means there's actually no real choice once I get there, there's the correct decision and the trap decision I might have fallen for.
I kinda wish they didn't make the both routes this morally grey. I would make the So Mi route the "morally right" one, but in the end it gives you frick all and the Reed path the "bad one", but it nets you benefits. Just to see how far the player is willing to go to save themselves.
And I wish So Mi was a love interest. I guess, she lowkey is, but still.
When you think about it the So Mi ending is the morally right one because it Johnny and V both ponder about their mortality and goals afterwards. It also leads better for the Sun Ending because in the So Mi ending, Johnny says he wished he had that determination that So Mi had which you can return the favor by finally finishing what Johnny started with Arasaka.
The game is full of those moments where they try to make an ending look like the better one, not because it's actually better but because the characters judge you and stuff if you choose another one. What's the max damage you can do with snipers? I'm using this tier 5 Grad with max Cool and can only do 1k6-2k1 on most enemies nad 900 against heavy armor. My damage hasn't changed for like 15 levels.
5++ is the highest tier for everything, so you can still get more base damage added. It may be easier to use one of the unique Grad snipers like Overwatch. You can just upgrade those when you have the materials vs getting lucky and finding one in the wild.

you have to use Sonic Shock first in queue and then stack damage. Sonic Shock is untraceable which translates to the other quickhacks in the queue

Not in a full on fight like below the towers, but the first time David uses his sandy it takes Adam Smasher a full "second" (in slowed time) to realise David has one and activate his own. If David had just poured all his attacks (at this point he is going so fast he can complete 3 seperate actions in the time it takes Adam to fire the rocket) into Adam instead of choosing to rescue Lucy and kill Faraday,

Phantom Liberty is basically one big mod pack. If you don't have it the area is closed off. If you do have it then all the areas and NPCs are there.

I was trying to do high intelligence but it's so boring and I devolved into punching people and actually enjoyed it. The melee in this game is fun, especially with that pick up and toss people ability. Getting into a huge firefight and just going fricking Kiryu Kazuma on everyone is just fun as frick
I started 2 characters, one pure melee with Black person slam arms and katana, and one full intelligence/cool stealth netrunner. Melee is without a doubt more fun, though i haven't gotten my netrunner to a high level yet. You should respec. I'm trying to limit my netrunner by not getting HP perks and not using blood pump to make the game more exciting, but jumping out of your car going 100 mph and Black person slamming everyone around you is just so much more fun.
As far as I'm guessing, power and technical skill trees seem to go together pretty well. Honestly, I've already got my power at max with all the necessary skills, and tech is about halfway. If I respec, it'd be just moving all my int into technical.
Yep, 20 Body/Reflex/Tech gets you all the fun stuff like air dodge, edgerunner, katana bullet deflect, savage sling and slam, adrenaline rush, and pyromania (which is surprisingly good), and I even unlocked the Projectile Launcher perks for when I want to mix it up. Instead of going for pyromania/doomlauncher you can put those points in the Cool tree too unlock thrown melee finishers instead and turn it into more of a stealth build, but im roleplaying as a fricking meathead.

yeah went blunt weapon. the ragdolls are too funny to pass up just runnin up to dudes and bonkin them in the frickin face. it actually lets you just not give a frick about optional stealthing and helps you blow through side gigs asap

20tech/16int/15rest is hilarious, you get access to fricking EVERYTHING good because 99% ultimate perks are useless and tech has the best three anyway and 16int nets you with one extra ram compared to 16 whatever else
Red Dead is still the best open world game on the market. It's more of an RPG than Cyberpunk. On a technical level, I can easily see Red Dead 2 being turned into a true RPG whereas Cyberpunk was a complete failure. You literally just gotta expand the dialog options beyond greet and antagonize and boom, you have a 1st and 3rd person RPG. I say this to emphasize the mediocrity that is Cyberpunk.
Its a roleplaying game as you roleplay as a rockstar developer. What the frick anon, rdr2 is so linear. If you approach a mission in anyway that rockstar doesnt want it instant fails and youre forced to restart

It would have been better if it wasn't clear they blew a huge portion of their budget on making nightcity very detailed and designed but basically empty for how designed it was.
its kinda interesting how the non-game breaking visual bugs, junk clutter, bad talent trees were enough to make people go completely doomer on cp at launch when the core content is so good

that's accurate. if not cut the badlands, at least scatter more interesting stuff around out there. the city definitely needs fleshed out more, more gigs would have been nice and more random stuff happening to keep it feeling alive and unpredictable. the city gets really stale as you complete NCPD hustles, there's not much reason to just start fast traveling everywhere because it's not like you'll miss anything interesting happening
the old psychotic cope from shazam-vs-psychofans threads was that anyone saying this just wants the game to be "like GTA" but I don't want that, I just want the game world to be deeper and more polished, a pretty reasonable thing to want from an open world. but 2077 is hardly alone in delivering a lackluster open world

in 2077 bodysculpting ("change my appearance" at a ripperdoc) is free, only reason you can't switch voice or body type is for romance reasons
