While the dub for it is better than the average dub the performances still fall short, they try and make it more diverse by having characters have accents where as in subs everyone is Japanese sounding but lots of the performances just don't sound as good.
Also the dub has another issue of having different sound mixing at times in that background sounds and sound effects will be different and mixed worse in the dub, sounds like gunfire are different for some scenes.
So like while a character like Adam Smasher sounds pretty cool in the dub (he also sounds really fricking cool in subs) someone like Rebecca or any girl is exponentially worse

as for immunosuppressants, as drugs go they aren't one size fits all. there are many varieties and they don't all function the same way or act on the same aspects of the immune system and so don't treat all the same conditions. it's feasible to one be effective for cyberware but not effective (or wholly effective) on MS. dosage would be a factor too.

Pondsmith's books and writings make a constant point that the tech in the CP world is so unimaginably advanced and helpful that if people would just stop killing each other and sabotaging each other for 10 seconds they could literally solve every problem of the world by next week. It wouldn't be that hard with the amazing tools each country and corporation has collectively. They won't though because everyone just wants theirs. Thats a central theme of his setting.

The world building just doesn't seem to make much sense to me. I was constantly taken out of the illusion because it's never all that grim or dark. Perhaps it's just a "corporations bad" game with roots in the 1980s but it clearly doesn't grapple with the actual consequences of the world it's trying to build/describe.

It's really good. Gibson isn't a technical sci-fi author, like Asimov, someone with actual scientific knowledge, but he's a very good author. The sci-fi really is there less as a philosophical question of what this level tech can do than what it does to people, emotionally and spiritually
