Seriously am I the only one that see that apart from a small added level and mission plot, the only real addition to the overall game is car combat. That guy just bulletpoints it like 6 seperate times. He acts like its new when you could Uzi people in Vice City.
Hype, im going into September with nothing but blind faith in CDPR and Todd. I'm being rewarded with basically two new games. Doubters stay mad frfr. I'm pretty sure monowire hacking has been confirmed too, which will make a blunt melee + hacking build pretty fun.
I hope the netrunner changes are accurate, it was stupidly broken in the base game how easy it was to stay at range and just send out quick hacks that instantly killed enemies and spread to everyone else on the map
This being a DLC update implies that the new area is only available if you purchase the DLC, while the rest is "fixing" the worthless iteration that is the original version that people only played because of their unprosecuted pedophilia.
I'm playing through 2077 for the first time and having a good time with it. I don't understand this expansion, do they expect most people to start a new game to play it? It sounds like you can't play it after you beat the main game.
It does sound like a new playthrough would be preferred. Then again the games been out for like 3 years so most people have finished the game several times over by now.

so 3/6 in total
the vehicular combat alone makes me interested in this game.
i didnt play that mad max game cause i hate bamham combat and dont care about the source material.
i'll see when it releases.
>police response revamp >no longer limited to on-foot combat >aim out the window and fire
shit like this belongs at the bottom of patch notes at 8 font and he's parading it on a feature list
feels good to avoid this catastrophe
The updates actually sound pretty kino. My problem is I already completed the game and there isnt a single story mission or side quest I'm interested in replaying. It's not that the story is bad, it's that there's basically no choices in the game and the ones that are there are largely inconsequential.
>Its took them nearly 4 years for this
CDPR are fricked, this is nearly the development lifecycle of a full game wasted on an expansion and Idris Elba.
They still haven't added all the promised features like multiplayer.
oh boy, more promises like every europoor studio lately and morons are going to eat them and then X hours later find out they are eating shit, kinda late for that refund
They literally said the overhauls are free, on multiple occasions. It’s just the 6th Relic Tree and maybe the level cap increase that isn’t (and you can mod the level cap in really easily if you wanted to)
>Here's your overhaul bro >It's just vehicle combat and potentially fixed police >Both of which should be in by default and are in no way anything but basic expected features >3 years after the release
I'm still struggling to understand why anyone feels any hype for anything past like 2012, even more why anyone fricking pre orders anything especially nowadays.
Friendly reminder that this shit is awful and I'm sick of how quickly it's become the precedent. No game should ever get drastic overhauls years after release.
*No game should ever HAVE TO get drastic overhauls years after release. If the game is good on release, and the devs keep working on it afterwards, then that is a purely positive thing.
>Bad content...
Why do you think that it's necessarily bad? >...replacing what was already there
What if it's adding onto what already exist?
You seem to be focusing on a specific scenario instead of every possible outcome.

In this case we know it's a massive replacement of existing systems so by default that's bad. A game I bought should never be replaced by something else.
It got a few updates but I think it was with BaW that it got its biggest overhaul? I actually can’t remember it’s been so long ago.
I do know that the next gen update including a shit load of small tweaks and fixes, that ended up making Sign builds overpowered as hell funnily enough.
It takes place in Act III, so I’m guessing they might change it a bit so after calling Hanako you can either start the finale or start going into PL’s main plot.
>introduces vehicular combat
kek
Seriously am I the only one that see that apart from a small added level and mission plot, the only real addition to the overall game is car combat. That guy just bulletpoints it like 6 seperate times. He acts like its new when you could Uzi people in Vice City.
Will those updates also apply to the main game?
yep
Relic skill tree is PL exclusive but otherwise all of this applies to the base game.
Watch as all of this, not just the new DLC shit but also the improvements, will be paywalled anyway.
Hype, im going into September with nothing but blind faith in CDPR and Todd. I'm being rewarded with basically two new games. Doubters stay mad frfr. I'm pretty sure monowire hacking has been confirmed too, which will make a blunt melee + hacking build pretty fun.
Kinda strange they say Radiant Quests isn't it?
I hope the netrunner changes are accurate, it was stupidly broken in the base game how easy it was to stay at range and just send out quick hacks that instantly killed enemies and spread to everyone else on the map
I'll be too busy with Starfield and BG3 I'm gonna wait until the DLC is on sale
>reworked perks
>new area
>shooting from cars
okay cool i guess, sounds like dlc alright
Except it's
>reworked perks
>shooting from cars
This being a DLC update implies that the new area is only available if you purchase the DLC, while the rest is "fixing" the worthless iteration that is the original version that people only played because of their unprosecuted pedophilia.
>CDPR really has been cooking
amazing how their half-backed game still """cooking"""
Will they add big breasts to female NPC's?

Show me who they modeled Judy after.
As a slapstick physical comedian, this is embarrassing to watch. Literally just emulating toktok shit
Imagine what they could do if they didn't waste 75% of the budget on chungus and that black guy with a british accent.
I'm playing through 2077 for the first time and having a good time with it. I don't understand this expansion, do they expect most people to start a new game to play it? It sounds like you can't play it after you beat the main game.
they're claiming here
that the ending of PL can unlock new endings of the base game
So then yeah the idea is that it's meant for a brand new playthrough
Or just from the last save it kicks you back to before the final mission after finishing the game.
I think PL takes place in Act III so that’s possible yeah
It does sound like a new playthrough would be preferred. Then again the games been out for like 3 years so most people have finished the game several times over by now.
its going to brake all of the existing mods and several of those changes are built out of community mods to begin with
My guess they will try a soft reboot in that your end game V gets a complete reset in attributes and skills
Fix the shop bug yet?
0/5
literally 5/5, moron
Only 3y later

This. What could've been. DLC won't fix it.
How much per post OP?
5 eddies per.
>Still no 3rd person perspective
I don't see why there would be. Immersion seemed to be one of the main goals of the game which made the launch disaster even worse.
I liked how they handled the Witcher 3 expansions better. Plus those were free if you bought the game at launch.
>Plus those were free if you bought the game at launch
?? HOS/BAW were never free.
Well they were for me, and I just bought the physical game for PC at launch. I don't know what to tell you.
they were "free" if you bought the expansion pass
No it's not
Fricking shill
>believing their lies
>the second time
IT ONLY TOOK ANOTHER 3 YEARS!
Pathetic. We were sold an Early Access game for full price.
It's kind of unacceptable that it has taken three years for this DLC/expansion/patch to come out.
the vehicular combat alone makes me interested in this game.
i didnt play that mad max game cause i hate bamham combat and dont care about the source material.
i'll see when it releases.
I'm still not buying CP77.
That's fine. I've bought it multiple times for you.
Imagine having to explain this to your kids later in life
>same exact shit with a new part of the city
that's literally it.
>police response revamp
>no longer limited to on-foot combat

shit like this belongs at the bottom of patch notes at 8 font and he's parading it on a feature list

is this some hip new zoomer term? only started seeing it barely a week ago
>Its took them nearly 4 years for this
CDPR are fricked, this is nearly the development lifecycle of a full game wasted on an expansion and Idris Elba.

'top to bottom overhaul' needs to be defined explicitly
it's like saying you will have 1000 'planets' to explore
it's useless until it's explained in specifics
It's defined in the 9th post of the thread.
oh boy, more promises like every europoor studio lately and morons are going to eat them and then X hours later find out they are eating shit, kinda late for that refund
They want people to pay for this? God I hope it fails as hard as the original release.
They literally said the overhauls are free, on multiple occasions. It’s just the 6th Relic Tree and maybe the level cap increase that isn’t (and you can mod the level cap in really easily if you wanted to)
>top to bottom overhaul
>advertisement is some “badass, empowered” vaguely brown ugly woman
>“It’s okay if we push out a steaming pile of shit as long as the characters are unlikeably ugly, female, and 90% brown”
Sorry, I’m just not gonna buy it is all! I know!!
>Rewrites the DNA-
Stopped reading there.
>paid fix DLC
israeli
All these promises remind of something. I cant quite put my finger on it.
CDPR sucks eat shit viral marketer
>Here's your overhaul bro
>It's just vehicle combat and potentially fixed police

I'm still struggling to understand why anyone feels any hype for anything past like 2012, even more why anyone fricking pre orders anything especially nowadays.
No one cares, shill. Frick your woke troonyslop.
Oh wow they finally completed Cyberpunk 2077 ver. 0.5
Can't wait for the final release
>Reworked police system but still no jail/prison to get thrown into
What's the point?
To be fair, canonically the NCPD doesn’t really do “arrests” anymore
>Still willing to get getting fricked after all the lies CDPR told you
Kek

*No game should ever HAVE TO get drastic overhauls years after release. If the game is good on release, and the devs keep working on it afterwards, then that is a purely positive thing.
Wrong, especially when it comes to huge reworks.
>Free content is bad
I disagree.
Bad content replacing what was already there isn't good. I shouldn't have to spell this out.
Witcher 3 has gotten like, mutliple overhauls and reworks though, I think CDPR devs just like tinkering with shit like that
didn't they rework the whole combat after 1-3 months of the launch because it was so dogshit?
It got a few updates but I think it was with BaW that it got its biggest overhaul? I actually can’t remember it’s been so long ago.
I do know that the next gen update including a shit load of small tweaks and fixes, that ended up making Sign builds overpowered as hell funnily enough.
How does this integrate with the base game? Can I continue with my current V? Is it a story I can start any time, or is it meant to be postgame stuff?
It takes place in Act III, so I’m guessing they might change it a bit so after calling Hanako you can either start the finale or start going into PL’s main plot.
Are they adding a way to respect those blue levels?
Stand alone or do I need to own the base game?
