And with this game being designed around 4 characters on screen, I don't have high hopes that there will be plentiful character-specific paths like in Sonic 3.
Not to mention the dozen region and retailer-specific preorder bonuses that will no doubt be included in next year's rerelease.

I don't know if it was a bug or bad programming, but the whole fight was ruined in my game because Sonic wasn't aiming the wire. I spent half an hour without being able to progress and trying everything until he let me point the cable after doing a dodge with R1. After that, the battle was fricking easy and underwhelming. it was like the barrel 2.0

I liked the other bosses (before the boss rush that is) because despite how shallow they were they weren't intrusive, the new end fight just fricking tricks you into replaying because they locked a basic tutorial prompt behind 100% THE FRICKING ISLAND WITH EVERYONE.
