The game isn't even fully out and these morons are making a mobile version? Ironmace truly are just a bunch of morons

then how in the frick will they release it on mobile?

Krafton jumped in and bought the licencing rights for a mobile version. They're getting shit on in asiaticland for doing this. The trial isn't even over yet and if ironmace loses they're going to get fricked too. They're desperate because they're losing a lot of money and need something to keep themselves afloat after all their non pubg failures.

Krafton bought the rights to Darker and Darker, I guess they're really confident they won't lose the lawsuit.
Krafton sure likes to buy out criminals in the gaming industry.

I absolutely loved the early access, both the steam and the torrent versions, but why the hell are they making a mobile version when the full game isn't even out yet. This gives me a bunch of red flags. The game was way too fun, figures that it would do something like this.

      Jesus christ that looks horrible.

I knew it was too good to be true. Koreans making a good game, that is.
Ironmace has dropped the ball so damn hard with every update they’ve done since early access.

Can't. They got sued for stealing the game idea from their prior employers Nexon.

Probably release it in some sketchy convuluted way just like they did with Dark and Darker.

They're probably going to get sued again. If you followed the original fiasco it was entirely on the ironmace devs continually being moronic for years. The legal problems could have gone away immediately but they wanted to be moronic.

It is out on PC. You just have to buy it from their website because of the legal trouble.

Probably release it in some sketchy convuluted way just like they did with Dark and Darker.

It's sad as frick that selling a game through your own website using a legimately payment processor (the same one big games like MtGA uses) is now considered "sketchy".

No, it's sad as frick that you have to resort to selling your game on some sketchy site instead of a trusted storefront like every other serious company because you're doing some sketchy shit.

Selling YOUR game on YOUR website should not be viewed as sketchy. I don't blame you for being moronic though, you're a product of an environment that has trained you to think it's weird if a game isn't on Steam. Poor lil zoomie doesn't remember a time when it was not only normal but common for devs to sell their own game on their own website. Also like I said, they use Xsolla which is the same payment processor TONS of big companies use. Go google a list of them.

Has less to do with buying it through their self hosted site and more to do with that they're sketchy fricks involved in a lawsuit not being able to sell their shit on Steam and other storefronts. Would've been fine if it wasn't for all that bullshit which could end up with me losing my potential game that I would spend $35 on. Nice try though Ironmace shill.

              >Nice try though
Ok so you really just want to b***h about getting them getting sued? Cool except my post was about how you said it was sketchy for someone to use a verified payment processor to sell their own game through their own site. You said that was sketchy I told you why it wasn't. Now you admit what you were really upset about and it has nothing to do with it being on Steam. You say "Nice try" as if I am the one being disingenuous when it's you buddy. You're clearly one of the people who show up in these threads just to get mad that a dev is being sued. No one cares, I certainly don't and I have 0 interest in arguing about a lawsuit neither of us knows anything about. I do however know it's not sketchy to sell your own game through your own site using an industry standard payment processor which you implied the opposite of. If you aren't interested in discussing that topic don't pretend otherwise.

                >buy game on their site
                >downloads and everything is provided by their site
                >get sued and eventually lose
                >has to shut down site
                >game stolen
                Cool

Ironmace won in the US, Steam will out it back so I'll play it on PC

Not how it works. It was dropped in the US only because the courts said "You are already settling this in court in Korea, do it there, you don't need to do it here too." That ruling will probably make Nexon look bad in the Korean case because the US judge laid out several reasons she thought Nexon was acting in bad faith.

        Exactly, so Nexon likely lost

The case is ongoing and Korean courts are even more sympathetic to big companies demands than even US courts from what I've heard. I wouldn't hold your breathe just yet.

No. It was revealed that IM has to prove they didn't even use Nexon's documents as a reference for development or else they're guilty. This is completely ignoring actually stealing code.

          >the US judge laid out several reasons she thought Nexon was acting in bad faith.
Not really, there was only one point where the judge said something like this and it was specifically about the clause to their employment and legal actions in regards to it. Every other part about the decision was just saying "korea is a better place to do this". They completely ignored every other argument that both sides made because the case was dismissed before the discovery process was even reached in court.
