Unfortunately DS3 influence poisoned ER and prevented it from being the true version of DS2 that it was supposed to be. No cross-weapon-class powerstancing, no enchantments on split damage or unique weapons, no buffs on non-physical weapons, no option to extract ashes from unique weapons and add them to regular weapons, no option to change the ash of unique weapons at all.
DS2 was just too good.

Both systems are bad, Elden Ring powerstancing is better, but it needed dual weapon blocking, especially with the unique mechanics Elden Ring has like guard counter, and strong attack replaced by dual weapon attack
I liked Mytha, the bandaged up warriors and the Ogre. But yeah, something seems off about DS2's designs (or is it art direction? I'm unsure). Feels like something out off ESO.
