Probably not, but it'll be a good excuse for my friend and I to play it again, and a good chance for me to see how much better it runs on a new SSD instead of my ten year old HDD.
Each of the classes is getting an actual skill tree, with bits that change what the class actually does. For example the psyker can change their brain burst into wytch lightning, or let them make a barrier to protect themselves or some such.
From what I remember from the article talking about it, they mentioned lightning, a barrier, and I seem to recall a force knife kind of attack. I assume the lightning will function like the surge staff's, so I'd guess the knife thing, if I'm remembering right, is your "deal a lot of damage if you can aim" style attack.
The trees were described as being set up to allow for like one or two deep tree pulls to really specialize your character, or getting a lot of early tree stuff to make you good at a wide range of things.
They seem pretty high impact individually, even the small nodes, pic related. That's one of the little filler nodes and even this one actually is fairly interesting and not just "+5 hp"
you should atleast know what you're talking about before you b***h
>you should atleast know what you're talking about before you b***h
I never played this Fatshart garbage. I only played Vermintide 2, and hated everything about all the shitty progression mechanics. Dropped it after 2 hours. Frick skilltrees, frick loot. L4D2 stays king, even all these years later.
defacto 2 new careersl for each of the existing 4 classes
it'll be fun to play but I think the game will need to get pumped full of content following this to not just die again
>save it
I’m not sure about that. But it should give it a LITTLE more life if just for people to frick around with the skill tree new builds.
I’m really just happy I’m gonna be able to be my command build guardsman finally. Hoping the new tree has enough style changing skills to let you play around for a while before the map burnout hits again.
Adding skill trees won't save the game. Nobody gives a frick about a literal bunch of reject convicts fighting a Nurgle chaos cult in some sewers. You can barely even qualify this as an IG or Inquisition game. The enemy selection is terrible and the player character selection is laughably awful.
>Space marines have rotted another morons brain
Being nobodies is fun. Frick you for demanding that every protagonist is the bestest big guy ever.
I do agree that Nurgle zombies yet again is lazy, but there are some suggestions, mostly the Vox youtube videos they post occasionally, that hints they're working on a genestealer cult faction update.
>Marines
Anon Marines would literally be the only group worse for this.
Hell make it about Techpriests and Skitarii on a Forge World hunting xenos and hererek infiltrators, that'd be neat.
Kinda wish they wpuld have gone with Dark Elsar for the enemy faction too, would have spiced things ip at least.
Sort of depends on if they're otherwise less moronic than they were on release.
The class overhaul buys them, at most, a month of good will. This is also the Xbox release, right? So they have at least a small influx of people who aren't already burnt out on the maps and gameplay and aren't fully geared.
Which means they have a month to fix that stuff before they get dropoff again. VT2 has dedicated players because they can endlessly run Cata difficulty, farm Reds level items and feel like they're mastering the game. DT needs a Red level item rarity and the ability to pick your maps or its going to die again.
I'll try it since it's gamepass but they fricked up the console launch entirely by being radio silent for damn near a year. It's rare to see a company go this far out of its way to ensure a game isn't successful.
Its funny. They said that the way they build the maps lets them make them easier than the very linear but distinct VT2 maps, and yet we've gotten, 3? 4? "new" maps so far?
Fatshark really needs to start transferring its talent from VT2 to DT at this point. Its obvious DT has been living on a B team level since release, while VT2 has the main team finishing up the promised content.
> VT2 has the main team finishing up the promised content.
what promised content? the one extra class per character and a new map a year?
fatshark must consist of 5 guys in a cupboard then.
No but I'll still play it
Probably not, but it'll be a good excuse for my friend and I to play it again, and a good chance for me to see how much better it runs on a new SSD instead of my ten year old HDD.
What's happening on the 4th?
Each of the classes is getting an actual skill tree, with bits that change what the class actually does. For example the psyker can change their brain burst into wytch lightning, or let them make a barrier to protect themselves or some such.
>the psyker can change their brain burst into wytch lightning
so an actual, not-auto-aimed-for-you, skill??
From what I remember from the article talking about it, they mentioned lightning, a barrier, and I seem to recall a force knife kind of attack. Yeah no people are playing it right now
the knives ALSO autoaim lol
Holy moley! I get to add +8% poison resistance to my character, like in Vermintide 2! Co-op gaming is saved y'all!
that is not how you use this particular reaction image
I just can't help it! I'm just so hyped for more unlockables and skill trees in cooperative multiplayer games!

>I never played this game but my opinion matters
cool
further proof that no one on vee actually plays vidya
Holy shit shut the frick up you terminally online moron
>I already had this opinion and I'm currently gathering info as to why my opinion is correct
Is there a single more mentally ill thing
defacto 2 new careersl for each of the existing 4 classes
it'll be fun to play but I think the game will need to get pumped full of content following this to not just die again
they're finally taking the servers offline
Game is actually releasing.
No.
The game will be saved in 10 months.
why dont modern militaries make their soldiers look cool like this?
dumb zoomer
>save it

AdMech class when
Give it five years
I still desire an Eldar game.
I like this game.
Desperately needs a versus mode though
>versus in a fartshart game
LMAO
versus in vermintide 2 was fun though
?
Give me bots already so I can play solo and actually take my time exploring the levels
When I'm ready to speedrun everything I'll play online
>Fartshart
Zealot healbros where we at?
on my block list 🙂
Are you also blocking the psyker barrierbros?
yes, i hate anything that encourages a camping playstyle in this game. Shield Black folk get the rope
Is it still snowing a year later?
Why, what's on the 4th?

Fricking hell I hate phoneposting from work. Always mangles sentences.

Can you look like this yet
Even better, you can look like the cooler regiment.
Maybe I should finally start playing
>kriegaboos
The day they add these frickers is the day I will genuinely remove the game from my SSD.
>When this banger drops
The game itself had plenty of problems, but the soundtrack was pretty rad.
>burger king
>brexit
Give me Slaaneshi cultists, PLEASE! I Need breasts!
PLEASE Fatshark, give me something that isn't that ugly ass face veil for zealot.
Fatshark please, once you get the class overhaul out give us some new fricking content
Its funny. They said that the way they build the maps lets them make them easier than the very linear but distinct VT2 maps, and yet we've gotten, 3? 4? "new" maps so far?

Well, they finally revealed Sienna's premium career, didn't they? Seems like that's end-of-life for VT2.
> VT2 has the main team finishing up the promised content.

fatshark must consist of 5 guys in a cupboard then.
They are still working on VT2? What the frick I thought the game was done
a modern soldier for the 4th reich, epic and based what game is that
Suck-start a shotgun.
or play darktide, basically the same thing
still can't over how they had all the success of VT2 to build off of, and they fricked up insanely
>success
Vermintide 2 has had a remarkably similar development cycle.
