I’ll say this about Kojima, he really knows how to actually end his stories. Most other stories end up being miseryporn but he is wise to not take that easy path
I was happy to finally beat the game but them kojima hit me with a huge exposition dump with multiple credit sequences. I was fueled by monster and booze. And then I had to kill my BB but not really.
a bro of mine thought the beach ending with the credits was the end of the game, so he uninstalled it, called me and said the ending was trash.
i was laughing for a few minutes before i told him its just Kojima shenanigans.
i admit i wasnt sure either, i left the game on until the credits stopped rolling and then the game continued, lol.
If you mean the "director's cut" it's not DLC it's a complete rework of the game and considered a separate thing as far as saves/achievements go. Is it worth it? If you really love the game and want more maybe but otherwise naw not really. It added a bunch of shit I don't care about and just made the game even easier overall.
I haven't played the directors only looked at the changes they made to it, i feel like some of the "quality of life" changes make the game too easy. Would definitely play the original first.
>completely reworked >by changing nothing
I'm sure you'll have an actual list of changes to refute my point somewhere. Oh wait, you don't, cause even kojima says it changes nothing from the original or just adds fun gear he thought people would like.
Stop being a frick wit.
Man shut the frick up we are some of the only people that like this stupid fricking game and it seems like you didn't buy the director's cut. Don't respond to me I don't care anymore and I'm going to bed.

It's the exact same fricking world. You just probably had the roads built for you the second time around.

you have no idea how the game works

I know exactly how it works. People put in materials, and it spreads across players. The idea is that you should wind up finishing your own roads, but this wasn't as much of the case during the remaster launch because it had less players to share the wealth with, and more players that were determined to finish the roads quickly.
The roads finished MUCH more easily during the remaster despite having the same build costs, and you were significantly more likely to encounter already finished roads whenever you connected the network.

Alright, Anon. Go ahead and tell me what makes the directors cut world any different. I suppose they did add another highway in the mountains in case you're too moronic to just use the zip lines.
>my bro bought the PS4 when it launched to prove me wrong or whatever >barely played 3 hours >the steam version can go 50% sales minimum this Christmas
Should I carry out with the PS4 version? Or go upgrade in the coming sales? I have no idea if there are exclusive content somewhere
Btw I’m still shitting on him for not finishing it to this day
i love this game so much, i will always have it installed.
Kojima blew my mind with this, the story is exactly as crazy insane as i wanted it to be, the graphics are awesome, acting is fantastic, and the sound and music design is one of the best ever made in gaming history.
When i had a bad day i sometimes just turn it on and do a mission or two and relax.
Same. I never played a kojima game before and didn't know what to expect, i only gave it a shot because it was on ps plus. Ended up absolutely loving it against all my expectations, did every mission and got all the achievements. Extremely comfy game and maybe the most original AAA game i've ever played.
>game has a million emails >no way to listen to them while walking around like in mgsv >no music player at all
holy frick I hope they fix this in ds2 just let an ai read that shit it would fit the world and let me listen to music besides your fricking set pieces you goddamn pretentious homosexual
ok kojima can override the music player with his shitty indie band whenever he wants I'm still gonna listen to music anyway just make it convenient for the player
It's not a political game, Kojima has repeatedly said this. If you are projecting political values onto it you are a brainlet. If you're using it as a soapbox to say how dumb liberals supposedly are then you're a double brainlet
The message is painfully obviously about social isolation in modern society and how people need people and human interactions and relationships to survive
I'm not saying it's an intentionally political game. I'm saying it has a political message. Kojima can say whatever he wants, it's natural for a game from one region to come off differently in other regions.
His entire rhetoric on the internet and social media is inherently far more political the further west you go. Same with how BB is considered a tool for survival that humanity wishes they could rid themselves of, but the player is intended to become attached to him and give him a chance at life in the end.
No, I'm just well traveled and realize that what's culturally significant/impactful in one region may be insignificant or highly normative in another.
It's like releasing a story about living independently instead of with your parents and being surprised when China sees it as largely political whereas westerners will just think it's shallow.
Covid was a nice taste for normies to experience the life of someone who gets bullied and shunned for ridiculous reasons
We learned to live with it but they got mindbroken lmao
>Game about how technology makes us more connected yet isolated >Make the game's smartphone equivalent LITERAL handcuffs
Death Stranding is literally Kojima's most embarrasing story yet. It's like a 15 year old's idea of profound. Worst part is that he keeps repeating his CONNECT STRANDS CREATE BRIDGES DONT MAKE CLIFFS garbage ad naseum throughout the entire game, and then his rabid fanboys defend him because "you don't get it". No I perfectly understood the story he explains it like a 100 times over.
The base themes themselves are fine, the problem is that he treats you like a moronic toddler who can't understand basic concepts like "social media is artifical human contact!" or "humans need to work together!" Then again gamers are moronic so I guess he felt this was justified.
I’ll say this about Kojima, he really knows how to actually end his stories. Most other stories end up being miseryporn but he is wise to not take that easy path
yeah instead he keeps you awake with a 3 hour exposition dump about shit you already know/figured out
>keeps you awake
I admire your sleep resistance anon, what's your gear? Kojambo's mental diarrhea never fails to put me to sleep.

kek what a moron
I love this game enough to buy it twice (ps4 and pc) but at least I'm not that moronic
Is the dlc worth buying? I've done around 100 S deliveries post story.

>complete rework
>changes nothing and just gives you a bunch of dlc gear that's a crutch, and a fricking racing mini game
Yeah okay buddy.
Yes it completely reworked the game world and made it piss easy. No idea what you want from me moron.
>completely reworked

Based, I can not wait to see at the game awards what this magnificent bastard cooked up for us with DS2

holy frick I hope they fix this in ds2 just let an ai read that shit it would fit the world and let me listen to music besides your fricking set pieces you goddamn pretentious homosexual
>reading AI
yes
>music player
no.
the segments when music starts to play are one of the most kino gaming moments i ever had.
ok kojima can override the music player with his shitty indie band whenever he wants I'm still gonna listen to music anyway just make it convenient for the player
>moron I was responding to was a wojak poster
yeah that seems about right
thought ds threads wouldn't have morons like this
>im just gonna play youtube in the background i NEED my dose of rihanna
speak for yourself zoomer I listen to metallica exclusively
Was that supposed to sound cool?
Yeah it sounds hecking epic you newbie zoomer scum.
t. most badass metallica fan
yeah I also like megadeth I'm a total badass
Death Stranding is the greatest walking simulator of this century.
I just finished this a couple of months ago, thought it was an enjoyable 100 hours, and already forgot what this scene was about. Kojima is a hack.
I swear every game that liberals swoon over as being deep is really just a shallow story pushing conservative values.
Someday, these people are going to interact with the real world and realize how ridiculous they've always been.
It's not a political game, Kojima has repeatedly said this. If you are projecting political values onto it you are a brainlet. If you're using it as a soapbox to say how dumb liberals supposedly are then you're a double brainlet

Oh good lord, you're a 'death of the author' type that reads messages into texts that the author never placed there. Frick off

It's like releasing a story about living independently instead of with your parents and being surprised when China sees it as largely political whereas westerners will just think it's shallow.
Kojima is just backpedaling because COVID changed the entire perception of his message about social isolation and value of life.
Covid was a nice taste for normies to experience the life of someone who gets bullied and shunned for ridiculous reasons
We learned to live with it but they got mindbroken lmao
> At the end all you builded up help the villian goal of making evangelion and you win by bullshit stepmom shit
Druk?
Death Stranding thought me that if you kill someone you need to get rid of the body for good.
Yeah and it's also one of the most interesting games this century
>Game about how technology makes us more connected yet isolated

To be fair the typical social media addict is your average reddit user and they really do need it all spelled out for them.
What is the most pro-death story and/or game?
Hotline Miami, it takes the piss out of the player for thinking there ever was a "point" to all the killing
I just wanna deliver gosh dang it.
*sips monster*
yup it's that shrimple
>monster
Excuse me, but that was removed from the directors cut, making it essentially a whole new game.
