it needs more shit to unlock
perks, flares, the drone, the axe all badly need much much more shit to unlock
Most build diversity for weapons comes from overclocks and the method for procuring them feels more like an drip-fed lottery than anything resembling actual progression. Some guns are only viable with particular overclocks and a player has essentially no control over when they'll get an overclock for that class, let alone that weapon.
kind of this too, a lot of weapons feel just useless unless you get lucky and finally get the one good overclock for the gun

>start playing game >from the very start see someone with a cool tool such as the very popular and visually distinct/flashy "nuke" grenades >have to play for iunno like 5-10ish hours to get a single dude to 25 >then do a mission chain to promote >then get a weekly limit on how many overclocks you can earn >they don't up the rate or do anything to help when they add more weapons to dilute the pool further >enjoy your +1 damage for the minigun or some shit(actually a good overclock but blow me)
absolutely horrific design choice for newer players
Hollow Bough exists.
I love how visually distinct and atmospheric that biome is but god the ground shape and constant chip damage suck, last week's EDD there was fricking nightmare fuel
some guy started playing in my extended group of friends this week and I was helping him finish his assignments and he went "oh I just got lead storm and neurotoxin, are those good?"
>240+ hours on steam >neither of the scout mobility boost OCs >no fat boy >no sticky flame >no bullet hell >only just recently got magic bullet
end my life

Use save editor to give yourself 100 blank cores. Best decision ive ever made.

Yeah the Overclock system was certainly ment with end-game players in mind, but since all the Dev listens to is End-game players, mid-game and starting players get shafted. The seasons are a good thing tho, lets you earn stuff as you play, that was a good move.
Strictly speaking consistency was slightly improved with choosing between 2 classes for your every 5 overclock bonus but that was nowhere near enough, they absolutely should have given you the option to disable drops for the new weapons, I was so close to special powder being all I had left and then the update dropped and I was suddenly bombarded with crossbow overclocks

I have 20 days mission time and still don't have Engi nuke.
Limited OCs per week. My autism wont let me stop playing this piece of shit until i unlock everything, and i cant get cosmetic ocs/blanks fast enough to finish it faster.

i dunno about PS5 but for Dark Souls 2 on PS3 all i had to do was get a modified savefile on an USB and put it in the save folder i wanted to pvp but the soul memory system in that game was dogshit
How? You should have all the overclocks by now. You get at least 6 every week if you spend all your cores. What have you been doing the last 300 hours?
I honestly feel sticky fuel is overrated and boring, sure if you are a meta math sperg its probably the best option, but I feel facemelter is more fun and cum gun is better for area control
Spot on. I've put in so many hours because I found the gun builds really fun but this is the main reason my friends and I dropped the game. Might use a save editor although I've never used one before
Say something negative about this game that doesn't include the word "reddit".
I play this game with my fellow boomer friends once a week. We finished another game so we've just been fricking around with this since we all got it for free. I dont see the issue with it. If you aren't playing it all the time then it doesn't get old and its fun with friends, which is why I guess Ganker hates it.
I'll still never get the "reddit" thing. This board was "reddit" at least a decade ago. This place went down fricking hill post 2009/10. Zoomers wouldn't know.

It was a joke, some homosexual while streaming said here is a stupid song to sing while digging in minecraft and he started shouting some random diggy diggy hole shit. A fan of his made a music video out of his stupid song as a joke, it blew up more and then Yogcast made into an actual song from it, it then got adapted into a rock song. Yeah, it sounds dumb but that was the whole point. It was a joke.
I was going to say it's taking up coffee stain's resources but then I checked and actually it's made by someone else.
Then I was like "what are they working on right now? Oh right"
escort is boring
mactera just kinda teleport in front of you when they spawn unlike glyphids who crawl out of the ground
no blacklist
input delay
morons who mine gold and every crumb of nitra during deep dives making the mission twice as long
no way of skipping crafting animations or claim all items in the battlepass with one click
scout struggles with clearing hordes in a horde shooter
subata is weak and lame
no way of switching weapons while joining
cosmetic loadouts are tied to weapon and perk loadouts
>escort is boring >morons who mine gold and every crumb of nitra during deep dives making the mission twice as long >no way of skipping crafting animations or claim all items in the battlepass with one click
how to tell people you have ADHD without actually telling them you have ADHD
>mactera just kinda teleport in front of you when they spawn unlike glyphids who crawl out of the ground >input delay >no way of switching weapons while joining
cosmetic loadouts are tied to weapon and perk loadouts
actual good complaints
>no blacklist
blacklist for what? people? just kick them from the game if they join
>no way of switching weapons while joining
i dont get it because there used to be a way of changing at least your class while in the loading screen up until a while. you could just press Q and E to cycle between the classes but one day this just stopped working all together and i dont get why. and loadouts, imo, you should be able to switch loadouts as long as your in the drop pod, or at least as long as you dont step out of your seat. i get this could be easily exploited by shooting out of the pod with shit like nuke and then switching to something else.
>you could just press Q and E to cycle between the classes
This still works but I don't know the conditions. It might be disabled for missions where the host has disabled duplicate classes.
Deep dives have a pretty shit multiplier so it's not really worth your time going for gold. May as well get them done and then go mine in a normal mission where it's worth more.
I guess thays one way of looking at it. How I tend to look at it is: >I'm a dwarf, that means I'm gonna mine all the tings!
I mean, if there's a gold vein on the freakin' ceiling you're not gonna catch me making an epic quest to go mine it, but if it's *right there* I'm gonna mine it.
even in deep dives there's a lot of downtime, and if there's gold nearby during that time it only makes sense to mine instead of sitting around doing nothing
Robots force me to play specific loadouts, instead of letting me play what I want and pretty much always be viable, even on Haz 5.
If you don't take a flamer as the driller on a rival presence mission, you basicly make the mission harder for everyone, since difficulty also scales off player number
the skinnerbox syndrome is severe. But they're free cosmetics BUT most of then suck dick.
shit weapon balance.
its getting too "wholesome" (reddit) with the new gay voicelines.
He is likely referring to the voicelines you now get for pinging a fellow player, some universal and some dependent on what class the target is. So for engineer they might say something like "lol do you frick the turret?" and one line for pinging a driller is "you make this team really hole-some!" with the joke being that he creates holes, he drills things
There is also a rare? one of them just saying "You're cute!" which is pretty funny but I can understand having a stick up your ass and being mad at that
Needs more mission types
Needs more enemy variety (biome recolors don't count, should be entirely different species)
Modding is way too fricking complex and requires installing too much random shit. I just want to make a mod that plays appropriate FF6 music, e.g; the theme that plays when escaping the magitek factory for returning to the drop pod, or decisive battle & ultima theme for dreadnaughts, town music in the station, etc. But I have to install shit and download everything and install UE too, like wtf. Why can't I just drop in wav files and be done with it since it's local only modding anyways?
I love this game, but: >needs more enemy variety >needs more biomes, last biome was added an eternity ago >needs more mission types >missions need to be less repetitive, add variants like different patterns for bossfights (heartstone, caretaker) >tweak weapons to be more fun rather than more "balanced" (this autistic shit started around s1) >add overclocks for more things, like grenades or even fricking bosco >rework overclock system >add more perks >rework perk system >add an infinite deep dive to farm cores >add more quirks to the cave generation, after a while they all start looking samey >add more ores to collect, for a game about mining you really usually only mine 4 things >add more secondary objectives >for the love of god move on from the robot shit and expand on the actual glyphids
They really just need to make the OC farm viable because that's how most people probably bounce off the game other than seeing the artstyle is learning all the cool fun stuff is locked behind RNG and timegated.
Just got this the other day from humble choice, and a 65% coupon for all the dlc (which turned out to be hugely disappointing) enjoying it so far, have been playing scout mostly and played gunner once, haven't tried the other two. I do find myself only able to do 1 or maybe 2 missions a day.
The bosses have periods of invincibility creates situations where their AI can break and basically softlock where they wonder around without ever changing phase.
I remeber this happening to me after a long period of not playing the game and instantly got me to drop the game again. It ended up changing phases so I could kill it but the potential for another half hour of watching a moron sperg out keeps me from coming back.
its an incredibly well designed game where they thought of everything necessary, except making it fun. it's just a boring same-y grind after about 20 hours.
the playerbase is also a bunch of spergs that think you HAVE to copy eceleb 'meta' builds even though its a baby pve game with barely any difficulty.
Robots suck and are boring to fight against. Also the grind gets kind of tedious especially since I missed most of season 1. I already unlocked everything from the base game but I definitely won't max out the scrip tree and levels considering the grind they require.
On a technical level, it's a good game.
However I feel like I've played this type of game a hundred times over so I never boot it up. The artstyle, the sounds, the variety... everything about it feels too familiar to me.
breakpoints and ammo efficiency dominate the meta
vermintide has a similar problem
building most weapons for damage isn't worth it because the team usually has 1-2 "delete this large enemy" buttons anyway and it's much better to build for horde clear unless you are one of those button-holders
>Every remotely interesting-sounding overclock guts your ammo capacity.
why

Running out of ammo is bad and going from 13->14 damage doesn't justify not having an extra 150 rounds.
Especially since the nature of the game is killing lots of medium enemies that take 3-ish shots, so the extra damage doesn't matter, or big enemies which need several magazines so you need the extra 3 magazines of total ammo.
also frick point extractions where you don't have competent Scout+Engi.
I wish I could teach my best friend not to waste his gunner ziplines on resources that are easily reachable. At least he uses them, I guess.
>also frick point extractions where you don't have competent Scout+Engi
That's why I tend to always bring driller equipped with an EPC. Even a moronic scout can zip around collecting the scattered minerals. >but what about the ones in the ceiling-
Did I stutter?
>hmm it will be safe to round this corner 🙂 >HOSTILE IN RANGE >oh ok I will run back around the corner >either get grabbed through a wall, shot with a forcefield through a wall, or he just mines the ground out from under you and then chokes the life out of you
hmm yes I would like an enemy with the strengths of a bulk detonator that also cave leeches you and never lets go, that's epic
Because you did. Most missions generate maps by putting a bunch of random parts together, frequently making them overlap. That means they always feel different. Point extraction instead has a small list of maps and then slightly modifies them, so it's always the same. There are only like five possible maps.
there are tons of templates and you'll learn to recognize them right away over time
high bridge for example is great on escort but absolutely hell on mining
low bridge is very bad for elimination and also tends to have those sections with pillars in the middle
egg missions sometimes have that template that's a hole in the main chamber with a huge drop as bait for dumb dwarves who don't use the always existing and safer spiral "staircase" behind loose dirt
PE always has a similarly shaped protrusion with 2-3 aquarqs in it and near the end it has a _/ looking pit with high areas at both sides that's good for driller to make a route to
>Balance is bonkers, Scout is very weak, Engie is boring aside two overclocks >sprint should be build in the dorfs instead of a perk since is vital on everybody but Scout >Overclocks are either dealbreakers or complete shit >dogshit way to get Overclocks when instead you should be able to buy them with Perkpoints since the system of perk points push you to play multiple mission types for rewards >needs more cosmetics in the regular shot >timed events for said cosmetics >no good mineral sink thanks to the new purple mineral to buy cosmetics >more minigames in the space rig >more beers
It’s meant to let new players have a currency to buy hats without dipping into their limited resources they need for improving their gameplay. Even though I pretty much exhausted the shop before it dropped I still think it was a good addition. Although I’ll admit I haven’t seen it through the eyes of a new player, I don’t know how much pants crystals they get and if it’s enough to get a good amount of cosmetics early on.
im playing with a friend thats new to the game and phasyonite is extremely rare, even with the amount that i play and you get barely anything from it. it makes practically no difference because the only cosmetics you could hope to buy with that stuff are the ones that are so cheap you could also just buy them with your regular money and minerals and not make a big dent in your pockets
Their balancing is total shit >people are using a new weapon that isn’t even better than the other options? Better nerf it so even with the novelty no one uses it for half a year >hmm, regardless of platform people are saying the gk2 is weak. Better nerf the second best scout weapon multiple times, surely that will get people to use it >certain weapon mods and ocs heavily dominate the discussion when it comes to balancing, should we adjust things? Frick it let’s just nerf the weakest option for the class instead >hmm people seem to only be using hellfire on the coilgun, why is this? Frick it, lets just nerf it heavily, surely that will get people to use the other oc for it
>Shape the cave to your liking, outstanding for traversal and arranging the battlefield >AND throw axes, which combo with vampire >AND great crowd control >AND has a gun for mining ceiling deposits quickly >AND C4
just drill out the rock behind the nitra, or use the c4, or the plasma pistol
it is a little weird but driller already has a lot of tools for making missions go way faster and in many cases way safer as well
you can drill around it and looking at 99% of driller players, they dont use their drills nearly enough to ever risk running out of fuel so you might as well do. i dont do it for nitra and morkite but gold and the rare dystrum is very easy to just drill around, especially on gold rush
They made a psychology decision regarding that, because they didn't want a designated "mining class" that would cause other people to ignore minerals. It's unfortunate, but it makes sense.

>makes cleaning out a Crassus crater take 90 seconds rather than 10 minutes.
>take pots of gold on gold rush mission >crassus spawns at start as per usual >tell driller to use pickaxe >crassus shows up >explodes in tunnel, fantastic >driller proceeds to c4 everything
>Be Driller >Press buttons without asking >You get C4'd >You double dip ammo >You get C4'd >You don't efficiently do your role >You get C4'd >I think you might be LGBT or a non-white >You get C4'd
what is the best way to teamkill? a friend pissed me off and I want to slaughter him
I was thinking coilgun + mole + overcharger but I don't know how easy it is to kill a player through the friendly perk, since I suspect he has it equipped, also because killing someone through a wall is funnier and harder to identify the first couple of times I imagine
no I do not have nuke grenades
You should be able to promote a dwarf straight away, whoever decided to lock it behind 4 fricking missions is a moron. I know the game is literally based around arbitrary grind, but even I have standards.
Devs also balance things like a spaz while not being particaurly good at the game. Some things get the fricking hammer the second they start getting popular while others have been busted since day fricking 1. Meanwhile those c**ts fail half of the EDDs they stream.
>615 damage with only one of the damage upgrades, letting you take 3 of them + avoiding the volatile mod >instakills through friendly with any defensive tools short of MAYBE gunner's blast resistance and damage resistance from guns/shield
jesus christ, I thought drillers teamkilling was a meme because I main driller and am competent and don't do that. thanks for opening my eyes anon
The majority of biomes only feel half completed and bare bones compared to the newer ones.
Many of the weapon mods, overclocks, and even some weapons and grenades are objectively worse than others and never worth taking.
There needs to be at least 5 more mission types, and they need to be made secondary compatible. Every deep dive is just an endless mix of eggs/black box/dreads right now.
The robots suck major ass. They're not fun or satisfying to fight and they have all the hallmarks of bad enemy design.
There needs to be way more beers, especially buff beers.
For gunner, the beard is just too gaudy. I had to stare at it for a while before I realized you were tying to make him look like an armyman? And for driller... I just think he looks stupid. Just a mish mash of hat, beard, mustache all around.
>driller >Industrial sabotage >shield generators down >back to the warden >voicechatting with best friend >"hey man, I'm going to drill to the objective, follow me" >literally next to me >start warden fight with the 2 other pubs >"hey bro, how did you get there"
Jesus christ man, all you had to do was walk straight
I'd take gunkseeds over ebonuts anytime. feels like the devs keep on adding more filler than substance with each update. the hacking minigame is literal filler.
I don't get why Gunk seeds always take 12 to collect when it's one of the most annoying resources to gather
I'll shoot the ballsacks off the ceiling, but that isn't a secondary that I worry about, especially since secondary mission pay is incredibly low compared to everything else, including random minerals.
Some of the fossil spawn locations are obnoxious. Usually high on a cave wall or ceiling but sometimes even in mid-fricking-air. Worst secondary for this reason.
adding new shit on top instead of fixing and adding onto old stuff. i dont see why we are getting at least four new grenades when driller has only one and scout only two if you like IFG. they need to fix HE, they need to improve neurotoxin, they need to improve pheromone. engi doesnt need new nades, gunner doesnt need new nades. axes are brutally overpowered that no new nade will stop people from playing it other than making an even worse overpowered one.
G2K is still useless, goo is still worse crspr, hurricane is still dogshit, subata is still dogshit.
the perk system and the perk point rewards become irrelevant after 50 hours, theres nothing worthwhile to take beyond IW, FM, Dash for actives and born ready, resupplier and deep pockets for passive aside from meme shit like vamp or hover boots.
theres still only four different matrix core events with two of them, kursite and ebonite, being very similar. escort is still dogshit by design, sabotage has no variety, we still only have three dreads, two of which have damage caps, preventing you from doing anything fun. the beer currencies are fricked because you use pay exclusively with barely bulbs for the daily specials and nothing but starch nuts, yeast cones and malt stars for the craftable beers which results in you haveing thousands of the latter three and barely enough of the barely bulbs. also, beers like dark morkite and back breakers stout are completely useless outside their respective missions and we havent gotten new ones in a good while.
also, the imbalance of cosmetic loot pools. depleting the lost equipment pool took me like 100 hours, buying out the shop took me maybe 300 but after almost 700 im still not done with the battery crate and the cosmetic cores.
theres a lot of issues with the game but if you dont mind playing for the fun of it instead of progression its still an incredible game.
I am not saying this to shit on you and honestly believe it, please prove me wrong if you believe otherwise:
you are fricking over your team if you ever do no bring iron will to a mission, short of something you know will be a clean sweep or having utter confidence that you will never, EVER in a million years ever die.
>use IW >rez people >they just run around panicking and die almost right away again anyways because they can't hold their own or think to use their tools to get out of the middle of the swarm
IW is one of the best perks but if you're even half decent and not a drooling moron you'll almost always be the last person alive anyways and the way most idiots act when you revive them makes it rare that popping an IW actually saves the mission, more likely you'll just rez a dumbass who runs off to go die again in a far off corner.
completely fair, however that's why you take vampire, so you can IW -> power attack something -> gtfo, so if you die while you're the last one alive you get one last chance
but yeah frick moronic pubbies
im usually the last one alive and i assume everyone is having their eyes on me so when i do die i can instantly pop IW and rarely have the problem of someone else using it at the same time. also, if you notice shit going down and you do have some nitra just call a pod so that you or your team mates can counter heal if possible. thats how ill use IW most of the time anyways. >huge swarm >everyone down but me >drop a pod somewhere or try to find red sugar >if i go down ill go get the sugar or the pod, whichever is easier to reach >take resupplier for bigger window for successful resupping. >either continue on on my own and clear the swarm or rez someone along the way once things cool down enough to warrant it
works most of the time
Fast rez for the insta-pop as well as the 30% rez speed is huge.
Popping the IW and then rushing a rez is inferior to me keeping that 30% rez chain going.
>you are fricking over your team if you ever do no bring iron will to a mission
Is this 2020? This hasn't been true for a long time. Hell, I'd say Dash/Field Medic is the more useful setup now, if anything.
playing gunner with its ziplines after experiencing platforms, grappling hook, and the almighty drills feels like pure shit. people would rather pickaxe up a wall than use the damn things too
Personally ziplines are amazing. It exceeds during point extraction but even in other mission types it's really good depending on how you use it. You even get a big frick-off shield with gunner that lets you kill bugs while being mostly untouchable. Can't do that with scout.
One of the things ziplines can do that no other mobility tool can is get the entire team from point a to point b quickly, as long as point b is lower than point a. Scout can only do that for himself. Otherwise, yeah, it's the weakest mobility tool.
>gunners that place a zipline at an angle that there is no sharp enough incline to boost in either direction >pic related, me waiting to finally reach the other side(before being knocked off by a web spitter and into a pit and my death)
I think they're okay but they can feel kinda lame at times, yeah. It's clear gunner is just supposed to kill a lot, his utility shines through the shield too, ziplines being underwhelming is okay imo.
That said they're good for when you have to carry objects up a steep slope like on point extraction, when collecting gunk seeds etc. I'd also spread them around in areas with deep falls since you can grab on to them while holding E in case you fall.
It's decent considering the game is made by indie developers. But damn, any crafting game or survival game automatically seems to be considered 10/10 by normies. It's really fricking moronic lmao.
>robots suck >like everything related to the robot stuff ended up being very mediocre >balance among overclocks sucks >most weapon mods are shit and there's very obvious choices (you basically just always go for total damage/ammo unless building for specific breakpoints or elemental interactions) >there's genuinely too much shit to unlock, i cheat in matrix cores and have 500+ hours and dont have plenty of shit im considering just using tools to unlock everything at this point >overclocks absolutely 1000% need a different unlock method that allows people to zero in on what they want quickly
This, I think most veterans have already filled out the season pass and quit till next season. There are so many utterly moronic greenbeards joining my haz 4 and 5 lobbies lately it's genuinely grating.
This, I think most veterans have already filled out the season pass and quit till next season. There are so many utterly moronic greenbeards joining my haz 4 and 5 lobbies lately it's genuinely grating.
>join haz 1, 2, or 3 lobby >squad of all megapromoted level 900 giga autists >join haz 4 or 5 lobby >all unpromoted players
additionally, has anyone noticed that the more promotions a scout player has, the less likely they are to be good? to do their fricking job? I see greenbeard scouts use their fricking flares because they've just been taught to do their job, over time they must be conditioned by playing the class with the biggest tendency to be selfish, and turn into pricks who don't give a shit about helping others
thank you for being one of the good ones, I truly don't mean to shit talk a class you enjoy, I think he's fine and even a good and well-designed class, just that his movement tool is the only one that "benefits only him", aside from gathering minerals that everybody gets it's also useful in combat, for just going faster, and etc. and I think that can mentally train people to be c**ts
>get weird fps dip and black shit on screen like my gpu's dying >look around >see guy using this
i don't know what sorcery powers the sludge pump but it fricks my pc up
>Say something negative about this game that doesn't include the word "reddit".
The constant shilling on Ganker is the worst thing about the game. Coffee Stain is one of the only publishers I instantly don't buy from now, they shill like Ubisoft. A shame too because the DRG game is fun, but its not the right kind of fun with all the shills trying to be playground gestapo controlling the narrative 24/7.
>low-ranking player joins my haz 5 lobby >immediately kick them
I'm absolutely done with the greenbeards who don't know their own skill and want the team to carry them
I've gotten to that point too, it's not "cute" to have a greenbeard join anymore when they're so numerous and go out of their way to play outside their league. They just wanna be carried and cash out on the high hazard bonuses.
Difficulty settings exist for a reason, people should pick the ones they can actually play instead of just going into the highest difficulty possible so veterans can drag their corpse around.
The devs are the only ones playing on haz 5 and kicking their playerbase for thinking they were actual players.
Its really weird. I get needing to fluff your playercount and lobbies but kicking the people that join is backwards.
Most of the unranked people that join my haz 5 lobbies haven’t been that bad. But that could be because I mostly play gunner so I can salvage most situations easily.
Devs don't want slower new players messing up their Ganker threads. The playerbase learned from the developers first hand how to play the game and it messed up the playerbase ever since.
Per-mission variety is heavily limited, which hampers a lot of the replayability. In theory, the cave generation and enemy types should spice things up each time, since which ones spawn in which areas should wildly affect how you combat and escape from them, but in practice it's incredibly simple. Alerts often aren't in effect and do little to affect the gameplay, and most uncommon events are optional and don't have a persistent effect on the mission once they are activated.
It's still well and good enough that I've got a shitton of hours in it, but I find myself taking longer and longer breaks each time, and it's a lot more than other games that use random generation and tilesets to keep things interesting
Season 3 might kill DRG off for good and I'm saying this as someone with over 1k hours in the game and every core unlocked.
Rival incursion/escalation brought robot enemies that aren't fun to fight, don't have good visual feedback for hits, and rely on cheap gimmicks like grabbing the player or sniping you from across a chamber. Rival presence mutator on maps is basically just a short time sink for experienced players and overwhelming for new ones.
The robots need to be reworked entirely or they need to frick off and be replaced with some other threat. Bugs are fun to fight and the disruptive types actually add a nice challenge to missions, forcing teams to adapt quickly. Encountering a nemesis spawning point blank during mission uplink/refuel on salvage with his body being half-blocked by the drop pod is the polar opposite of fun.
Also yellow overclocks in general need a rework to be more viable, especially for weapons like the hurricane which is absolute bottom tier right now.
If S2 is any indication its going to get way worse, then die.
Time gating Blank Matrix Cores is terrible game design. It was still bad but it made sense in early access because there was only the initial weapons. Now we have six weapons for each dwarf AND the absolutely shit ton of cosmetic items the game has. The weapon balance is also absolute dogshit. GSG considers a weapon "balanced" as long as it's utter shit but has a really good Overclock.
Its a bad system overall. Good idea in theory, terrible implementation. Its just a lootbox key when you think about it.
Oh well, I had my fun with DRG for as long as it lasted and for new players it will still be a "500 hours game" so it's not like it's a bad investment overall. Just sucks that the meta is so narrow with 1-2 viable weapons/overclocks per class on haz 5 and that GSG's reaction to this is usually to nerf said weapons instead of making the other weapons/oc's powerful enough to be viable.
the community seems to only care about there not being dwarf women or drinking on missions or making degenerate art or whatever so I doubt there are going to be any meaningful changes anytime soon
>as someone with over 1k hours in the game and every core unlocked.
maybe, just maybe, you're burned out on it? game's doing fine despite all muh season 2 robots doomposting
That isn't "fine" if you can actually read a graph. You don't want to be in a holding pattern. You don't want a decline either but a holding pattern is not desirable.
It shows stagnation. The same people are playing at the same times, no new blood is entering the ecosystem.
steam sale greenbeards are not indicative of healthy activity it just means people finally got on the dwarf train, they have to stick it out long-term for it to matter
a chart like this could just as easily dip to zero within a year when all the greybeards trickle off and there's nobody to hard carry a team of greens through haz 4-5 meaning the average player will be doing the slowest grind possible on haz 3 and below
Again, not a big deal for people like me who got their hours. I had my fun and don't regret the purchase. I can still tell when a game is going to die.
>drg going to die bc robots
see pic rel. >robots suck
they are generally tankier than bugs, which can make them frustrating, but they do add a nice variety in the core combat (bugs, mactera, robots) >rework/balance
GSG has time and time again balanced by nerfing fun stuff, instead of reimagining/buffing other options (in any meaningful way), this is the one thing I've lost faith in the game about.
>Rival incursion/escalation brought robot enemies that aren't fun to fight
It's sad that everyone says this. But it's indicative people don't want to learn to fight new enemies using new tactics. The devs can't win. Add new enemies that require actual new tactics, and people complain, or add basic-ass enemies that march toward the players and die en masse like everything that came before it and have absolutely zero new variety. And people would have complained. At least, I would have.
I will agree that killing bots isn't as satisfying as splatting bugs though.
There are no new tactics. Nemesis is a Prospector with Leech arms, thats it. Hacking is just hacking (x4) now. Its all the same mechanics the game already had.
It speaks volumes that the only news we have on S3 from GSG is telling us it isn't anything like S2. Even they know it was a letdown. I don't want to use the word failure, so I'm choosing not to. But its at the forefront of my mind.
Nemesis does not fricking behave like Prospector and you damn well know it. Nemesis slowly floats at the players and annihilates them if he gets in range. It has more in commonj with a fricking Bulk Detonator than a prospector. Prospector is a glorified Huuli Hoarder.
It doesn't have to behave differently, you the player treat it the same - shoot the vents. Its the same exact scenario, just with 3 leeches attached to it.
Prospectors already floated high by the ceiling so you probably fought Prospector with Leeches around before Nemesis existed kek.
Its like saying all the different game modes in shooters are different. No. Its shoot dudes or stand in circle, those are the 2 gameplay modes in shooters. Same thing with DRG's ~~*events*~~ you handle them all identically to other content you've seen.
>shoot the vents.
nemesis weakpoint are behind the armor plates, not the vents, and you hunt the prospector, while you flee from the nemesis, that is the opposite scenario. and it is 2 arms, not 3.
have you even fricking played the game? >Prospectors already floated high by the ceiling
no?
seriously you keep showing your ignorance.
>you the player treat it the same - shoot the vents. >it has a weakspot like 99% of other shit in the game >this makes it the same as one random thing that has weakspots
Black person please.
>Who cares?
I care. I like the game, so I'd want to see it get fair criticism. Not just "New is frightening and requires me to grow as a player, so I hate it!"
Okay Black folk
Give me your best idea for a new gamemode and a new biome
>new gamemode
just give me an infinitely scaling deep dive >new biome
not very original but i like the idea of an expedition into a massive creature, not sure how it'd work with all the mission types though.
maybe you're gathering minerals from the belly of a giant loot bug
I don't really want any new biomes. Just for more content in existing ones. Sand shark is cool, give me more biome specific bugs like that.
a revamp for existing biomes would be nice, get them all up to the same level as hollow bough and azure weald
>alright dwarves, I have a new mission for you. >this one's gonna be a doozy, hope you have insurance. >that team before you didn't get wiped out this time, there's a survivor. >we don't leave dwarves behind at Deep Rock, this is a rescue op. >we're sending you in boys, buckle up and bring supplies its gonna be a long one. > it might be Karl
>It's sad that everyone says this.
they dont.
there is a constant complaint by people who dislike it, and no reaction by people who do not dislike it.
you are mistaking the lack of praise for them for overwhelming dislike.
It's almost a perfect game so there are only minor things that annoy me after 700 hours: >ledge grabbing is janky as frick >IW needs a HUD indicator for other dwarfs, so they don't show as dead while they run around >"Ubisoft HUD" that shows too much unnecessary information. it even completely blocks the view when mission control appears under the escort mission drill progress bar >Fail joining missions completely reloads the space rig and spawns you back in your room. I exclusively host now.
People that kick for "this game was meant to be private" should themselves be sequestered offline or forced into a real private mode themselves.
Fastest thing killing the game besides Ghost Ship themselves.
"this game was meant to be private" is simply the first option highlighted when someone kicks another player and people don't want to bother explaining anything to someone they're kicking.
I don't care, its ruining the game and the game is already in dire straits as is.
There is no real community, its all astroturfed by the developers. 99% of the content is repurposed Ganker memes, they are just idiot Ganker tards trying to shill.
driller with sticky fuel and sticky flames mods can solo clear haz 5 while the rest of the team is kissing dirt
blows my mind how there are so many cryo drillers but I guess they are getting carried so hard by drak scouts and neuro gunners that they don't notice that their build has trash ammo efficiency >inb4 "muh anti-mactera freeze" that takes tons of ammo and runs out quickly during plagues
>two weapon overclocks a week >season update system is bad long term, going to cause cosmetic bloat and general lack of cosmetic quality due to devs bring forced do design an X amount of cosmetics to be released every 3-4 months >randomly generated caves get boring quick >deep wiener cumlactic
>haha this is a multiplayer game with great atmosphere and bants, haha rock and stone xD
Fricking nobody talks, even in text chat, even at haz 5 and deep dives, no one who plays this game is social at all and after EVERY match everyone silently leaves.
Shit is like playing warframe, just sonic dash to the end and grind maps endlessly
you work towards getting upgrades for your guns that change how they work and finding how you like to play. past unlocking weapon ocs the real endgame grind is for fashion
Nothing. Its slave labor as a game. You'll wake up from what you're doing in a few hours and uninstall the game like everyone else.
>rent free
damn it you really had to go and proove trannies play this game >not the only post from this ip
nice one, sherlock. probably gunna have to admit that there's been 40 "real" posters and 54 shills who made the other 160 posts (lol)
>WAAAH BAWWW MORE THAN ONE POST >meanwhile unabashed shills multi posting >NOOOO YOU PULLED ME UP ON RENT FREE >COPE
yup... it's an american troon and a bit of a dense one at that :^(
Then why did you categorize it as "work" when you "play" instead?
Why did you default to work? Sounds like something negative to me. I wouldn't want to play a game described as working.
The dumbest thing about this game is that you can't even work for shit because of the timegates. You play three hours doing the assignments/deep dives for overclocks and then you have to wait a week for them to reset. The devs say it's for player retention but what's the point in retaining people if they only play for three hours a week? It's so fricking dumb.
Player retention means they had a behavioral analyst tell them how to structure their game to maximize spending on skins.
This "game" is a simulated job and the only point is to slow your life down enough until you crack and buy skins.
I uninstalled when I got my first promotion and the game expected ME to pay for it.
how are we this far into DRG without a copy and paste button for loadouts including different cosmetic loadouts
how is there no workshop equivalent where you can pick from user submitted cosmetic blends
how are they going to deal with a pool of 100+ hats, armors, beard/mustache/sideburn (plus colors), weapon aesthetics (plus colors), and victory poses, all in season 3?
this game's GUI is going to become a nightmare to navigate
pre-digging is the most stupid tryhard shit I have ever seen people do in this game, there is literally no point
I once joined a haz 4 game with a driller host who spent like 5 minutes digging into the next caves in advance without even starting the drill, literally pointless. I started the drill and he kicked me, saved me a lot of time honestly
run rocky mountain and undermine the shale (or have driller and scout do it) and the dwarves at the bottom of the cave can suck up all the shale in one go
>There are people in this thread RIGHT NOW that treat this game as a job, trying to race to unlock everything and be done; Instead of playing for the joy of gaming.
don't let it be you, anon.
Do you think I fall into that category if I simply skip a few days on my calendar to refresh the season challenges? I'm literally out of blank cores because I'm so addicted to the season terminal...
You can't avoid it. Its literally menial labor as a video game. You get "promoted" and have an "boss" that gives you "directives" while you mine minerals like a fricking slave.
5 is the start of a new story (whereas 4 is a sequel to 3 and 2 is a sequel to 1), so you can start there no problem. 5 has positive reviews anyway.
each game is an incremental improvement over the previous entry anyway, so you don't miss out on much by starting with 5.
Gotcha. Oh I probably misremembered. The reviews are good, but the price tag is pretty ridiculous imo. Game is from 2019 and costs 50€ with none of the DLC which totals at 40€. Gonna have to see how it looks on sale.

yeah. I'm not sure why they so stubbornly refuse to drop the price after so many years. but a turboautist with thousands of EDF hours, I think full price is well-worth the amount of time you can get out of it
I started off with 4.1 based on a hunch and I don't regret it.
5 is a lot uglier for some reason.
Instead of cool nests you have DnD tier magic towers.
Instead of spooky caves you have fully lit up "caves".
Instead of the glorious fencer you have some sort of improvised engineering rig posing as one, looking way too primitive for the job a fencer has.
Just a general downgrade and cheap feeling changes for no reason, but all of that shouldn't bother you much if you start with 5.
THIS. If you just approach it without giving a shit about skins or unlocks that arent new gear, then you'll just be able to enjoy the game without thinking it feeling more like chores. Although the game would also benefit from more mission variety tbh
Anon, there are trucking, management, and even cleaning simulators out there. But they're gamified, and people enjoy the experience, so they play them. Acting all indignant and like someone is making a profit off your labor (and not your purchase) is silly. Are you a teenager by chance?

DRG should acknowledge juneteenth and give everyone a day off.
It still gets boring in a few hours, if you muscle through you unlock everything with time gating stopping you like a phone game. And then don't have a choice but to do it for free when you unlock what little variety there is in OC/guns.
Game still needs time in the oven, its raw and unfinished feeling. Not fit for the public yet. Let the beta testers waste their time, I'll look into it when its a complete game.
>what little variety there is in OC/guns
There are 24 wholly unique weapons in the game, not including grenades and utilities like C4. There are 148 overclocks for the weapons. "What little variety" indeed.
Yes, please do not purchase this game. I'll get my enjoyment and money's worth and you can just watch from the sidelines.

Bullshit. Who told you that? Because nobody has ever micromanaged what weapons and OC's I go into a mission with, besides maybe someone mentioning a mission is filled with "Mactera" and suggesting cryo grenades.
>Its got that speedrunner stink wafting off it, same types of weirdos.

>joy of gaming >can't even rock and stone when doing something >season pass daily unlocks level ups etc etc >meanwhile CHAD DEFENSE FORCE lets you do whatever you want when you want
Difficulty in general of haz 4 and 5 fluctuates too much. Some hazard 4 dives are tougher than 5s and some 5s are easier than 4s.
I should be able to lock button pushing to myself as lobby leader unless I am downed. Too many dumbfricks pushing buttons which frick the mission(mostly hacking events since they continue for like 10 minutes before failing).
hacksy events go indefinitely until they are completed so having someone start those too early/without enough nitra is a straight up game ender
drives me crazy when greenbeards do it
Game's mostly dead on PC because of the playerbase killing it. People are very serious about roleplay as a wagecuck and they don't want you fricking up their quarterly review.
You're either trolling or playing in antarctica or something. Lobbies fill up rapid fast, I usually have a full team before I can even leave in the drop pod.
>12 minutes into escort mission >scout who previously played completely normal digs under the drill and empties his magazines into it >does next to no damage to the drill, we don't even come close to losing an armor piece >kick him
Literally what was the point of that. The only one he fricked over was himself
yeah but the friendly fire reduction is so high it's really hard to grief people with it. The scout shot at it for 15 seconds straight and did maybe 20% damage which we repaired in 3 seconds.
>There was once that autistic raging on about "social ladders" in these threads >Now there's somebody saying that this game is just a job to work
I wonder what the next mega sperg will be raving on and on about while we laugh at him?
>Now there's somebody saying that this game is just a job to work
Midget, you mine minerals for a living. Its called being a miner, its a terrible job irl. They made it as aggravatingly mundane and boring as an actual job.
Whats causing it though? I'm thinking its linked to the Nemesis spawn somehow. The glitch shows up in maps with Nemesis and most of the time he just *pops* into existence. I'm thinking he was sitting OOB and the script moving him IB is wonky somehow.
you know, I purposefully jumped out of a salvage operation as scout the other week, and it just deleted my player character instead of spawning me inbounds like it used to. The god gamers i was with didn't even kick me even though it's technically my fault I got softlocked, what chads.
other than that quirky little thing you can do on salvage, I've never fallen out of bounds before.
Ive noticed it happens more often with high latency and trying to dig holes too small for your character, probably want to avoid those im a summersale gay so i cant help you unfortunately
>guy keeps letting the resupply land on him for the ~~*meta*~~ >starts crying when no one will res him >gets kicked as the drop pod is about to leave
I think he was screaming in Portuguese for a good 10 minutes and then poof, kicked.
You'll end up with more hp after being lifted than you had before you let yourself get killed.
Its moronic because the resupply will heal you anyway. People that do it get left down.
It has everything to do with it
You get 10% max health at haz 5 on a revive which you could have just gotten from killing 2 enemies with vampire or hitting red sugar or even just a resupply not even mentioning having to risk being down 1 player and having someone else revive your dumb ass.
This strategy absolutely reeks of low hazard players that get 50% of their health back on a revive and think wasting everyone's time is a viable strategy instead of hitting a bug with melee or just not going down to 1% health in the first place.

Your hp regenerates when very low, and on h5 you get like 10 hp from res and 15 from natural regen. I dunno if it's useful of haz4 in any capacity at all but it's just a stupid thing to do. Any lower and you don't even need the extra healing anyway because of the low amount of bugs and natural red sugar. Who comes up with these strats.
Its a job simulator like Tractor Sim, why did you think balance was a factor?
The reality is they actively make it worse intentionally, it really is supposed to be a job simulator, it isn't supposed to be fun or give you enjoyment.
Its a deliberate slow death march.
Feels like it for sure. Havent played in a while and tended to run solo mostly and the shitstorm over nerfing steeve was laughably idiotic. Or certain overclocks deemed "too op" so nerf plz etc
There was a commie in the last thread that was reeeeing about Deep Rock being a job/slave simulator and we're all missing the nuanced critique of capitalism because MUH SPADE DORFS. I don't know how you guys manage to make yourselves fricking miserable no matter what, what a way to live.

You're right and you completely destroyed your own arguement. It's a video game, not work. (:
Its not exactly a nuanced critique when the game outright says "yeah ur being exploited and you're expendable now go have fun"
Like people have been saying this shit for a hundred years if you want a better critique on it play Disco Elysium
>if you want a better critique on it
I don't though. If I wanted to learn more about economics or politics, I'd read a book. I just think its absurd that some morons think that people can't have fun playing Deep Rock because the Dwarves are being exploited. I mean, what kind of mental illness do you have to have to come to that conclusion to begin with??
I dunno if its worth dropping a game for its background element but those are its background elements. Theyre kinda irrelevant to the gameplay.
Disco Elysium is kinda a book though its got like 10 billion lines of dialouge

As the guy that started this meme on /tg/ to shit on Wizards of the Coast employees, I love seeing it spread to other boards and get used EXCLUSIVELY by shills.
Its the one thing they can't help but repeat like a parrot. I knew this would happen when I started spamming it and it ended up doing exactly what I designed it for.
Yes, I invented it, you'll find its first usage in /EDH/ threads on /tg/.
Its ok, on the same level of enjoyability as something like vermintide but theres no reward for endgame grind and the core system is godawful so Gankerpcs lose their minds
Robot enemies are oft annoying to fight and have pushed most to go for full fire damage at all times to deal with them.
Blank cores are an annoying extra step for getting OCs
Outside of the two weekly assignments and deep dives there never really feels like there's a good incentive to pick any mission beyond the shortest ones to fish for cashes/events/etc
RNG on bonus events like cashes and events is way too infrequent sometimes
It's unironically commies, I've seen the argument before. They don't have jobs, so the bar for what is work has to get lower and lower so that they can feel victimized.
Its probably just someone with self worth seeing how time wasty this game is. I mean it is a literal job for poor people that rekts your body in the real world.
boring.
only played solo for like 3 hours though, but didn't have enough carrot on stick stuff to upgrade and the mining was just tedious and boring. enemies were boring too
>Say something negative about this game
Ehmm, ohkay. I hate it when my voicecomms go straight into > SHIT, FRICK, INVISIBLE c**t!, HOW YOU TRANSPARENT BASTARD!, KEEP THAT JIZZSTAINCOLOUREDFRICK PINGED AT ALL TIMES!
On endless loop cus my friends like to flaunt their inability to deal with one of the most annoying gameplay gimmicks on Hoxxes 5
Where are these guys when you need them?
I wish they'd label which items (or at least cosmetics) you don't have and where they come from - so you know if you picked up something that is from a previous Season or whatever etc. Also they need to make more of it buyable, so it doesn't take forever hoping that 1 out of every 5+ missions has a Power Cell Chest or a Lost Backpack or whatever the frick.
Others also talked about stuff like overclocks and promotions (ie you have to have a promoted dwarf in order to activate many events like blank core infusers), and there's a lot to be discussed. I think they need to add more variety overall in just about every way, while adding ways to mitigate the grind (ie Phayzonite is a good start but they can go farther etc). Also how about some secrets? Story mission shit? Customize or expand the DRG base. More bugs of varying types, but also more rivals besides just robots - who's controlling them? How about a PVPVE mode where multiple teams race? And I dont know how they could do it, but what about some competing goblins (perhaps exclusively female shortstack goblins)? are in charge of another mining concern?
GTFO is the better co-op game but nobody plays it because you have to actually communicate over voice comms and not be a moron, there is almost no carrying because of team scans requiring everyone to be alive
also it has every weapon available (no weapon unlocks) and only a handful of cosmetics you get from a few missions and full-completes (prisoner efficiency)
GTFO players can play DRG no problem, the opposite is not true
Absolutely untrue, GTFO is a poorly designed boring slog, you walk around miserable empty rooms looking for boxes and occasionally bonking a not-zombie on the back of the head interspersed with playing simon says, there's never any get the frick out moments and it's not fun.
Anyone who claims it's deep or complex is a midwit who thinks boring tedious "stealth" gameplay makes them a gigabrain when it's an exercise in monotony.
Deep Rock is definitely a baby game in many aspects but it does the whole drop in and get out thematic a thousand times better than GTFO (of my steam library).
>there's never any get the frick out moments and it's not fun.
almost every extraction scan on C levels (also most B levels) and higher is a mad dash, you have to be good enough to get to there though
More like you have to endure boring trash gameplay for long enough to get there, there's nothing impressive about syncing up melee kills with people on mic, it's not a hard game it's just boring.
nobody is synching up kills unless it's a group of giants close together, you just make sure there's no waking sleepers nearby and if there are you rush in and kill them before they wake the rest of the room
also you can solo giants by breaking limbs because each break stuns them for a few seconds
I don't care lol, you aren't convincing me why I should give the game another go, stick with your elitist chums who think a shit game made by hack payday devs is so friggen deep.

i quit the game because it kept giving me overclocks to guns i don't use or even want to attempt to deal with their garbage stats
also the levels are all the same, they have modular tiles or some shit because i kept seeing the same high ceiling with a circular tube bridge running through it, the same dome room off to the side away from everything else
the same looking pits and shit
>Sludge gun was fun af on release >Gunners in their discord were crying about being outkilled >Devs nerf it into the ground >then buff >then nerf >then buff
I don't even know where it is now but I'm just sick of tweaking it and trying to make it work. I think its still strong with impact overclock but I prefered it as a dot gun.
They simply don't know what they are doing. Some of the weapon perks in the same line will invalidate the others in practice.
Its always going to have that early access feel because they don't know how to get the gun to do what they designed it as within their system.
It's not fun.
There's no end goal, nothing to work towards, it's just 'go mine. extract. repeat.' there's no proper leveling system, there's no cool upgrades. it's just repetitive autist shit.
You're supposed to approach the game with a L4D2 mindset, not a F2P content drip skinnerbox mindset.
You zoomers are so buck broken by the shitty things passing for games these days lol
How many coop games have an "ending?" The goal is to play with other people and have a fun time, not to mentally check the game off and never revisit it.
poor balancing on behalf of the devs, from the creation of ocs/upgrades to balancing them later
limited gameplay variety, "random generated" caves all feel the same in their zones
devs insist on adding shitty meme beers and cosmetics instead of content
Friendly Reminder if you play Deep Rock galactic for the progression in any way, you are playing for skinner box mechanics.
I gave myself a save with overclocks everything unlocked and play the game with 1.4 enemy mods installed and enjoy in sparingly with the boys.
Frick MMOS and frick skinner box time gates.
the morons gatekeeping elite deep dives with dumbfrick requirements: 6 PLATINUM PROMOTIONS, 500 HOURS+ ONLY
actually homosexual tier, I know theres a lot of morons out there, but keeping me out of "hard" content in a pve game because these people never played another fps in their life really is, reddit tier.
I've lost count of the number of times ~15 grunts of various types have swarmed me out of nowhere while I'm mining or working on unpassable terrain.
If they're even faster on Haz5 then there's no point in playing it if I can't hear them "skitter".
Suit yourself, anon. I prefer Haz 4 myself too. But you're usually given audio cues they're coming. And if you have a scout you should see them coming too.

I play alone, at this point being deaf and blind is something I'm used to lol.
You hear them dig out from under the ground even if its one of those quiet swarms and when you hear an alien screetch thats your cue to look around a bit before your butthole gets ravaged by a glyphid train. they should really give them louder stippysteps while climbing terrain or something though
Yeah sometimes I catch the digging sound, sometimes not.
A scripted audio que based on proximity would help...

But why? Random lobbies are so easy to just hop into, and you'll clean a mine out much faster with 4 people than even with Bosco.

I've tasted the sweet nectar of real coop.
Randoms don't do it for me anymore, in any game.

needs more missions
and enemy variety
reddit
it needs more shit to unlock
perks, flares, the drone, the axe all badly need much much more shit to unlock
kind of this too, a lot of weapons feel just useless unless you get lucky and finally get the one good overclock for the gun
Hollow Bough exists.
no "forge all cores" option.
as bad as hollow bough is, azure weald is worse by magnitudes.
Most build diversity for weapons comes from overclocks and the method for procuring them feels more like an drip-fed lottery than anything resembling actual progression. Some guns are only viable with particular overclocks and a player has essentially no control over when they'll get an overclock for that class, let alone that weapon.
>start playing game
>from the very start see someone with a cool tool such as the very popular and visually distinct/flashy "nuke" grenades
>have to play for iunno like 5-10ish hours to get a single dude to 25
>then do a mission chain to promote
>then get a weekly limit on how many overclocks you can earn
>they don't up the rate or do anything to help when they add more weapons to dilute the pool further
>enjoy your +1 damage for the minigun or some shit(actually a good overclock but blow me)
absolutely horrific design choice for newer players
I love how visually distinct and atmospheric that biome is but god the ground shape and constant chip damage suck, last week's EDD there was fricking nightmare fuel
I have 20 days mission time and still don't have Engi nuke.
I have 9 days mission time and have every weapon OC for the engi. Do better.
The retroactive jealousy I felt when my friend started playing and got Special Powder in their first half-dozen overclocks was palpable.
It was my 2nd OC :3c
some guy started playing in my extended group of friends this week and I was helping him finish his assignments and he went "oh I just got lead storm and neurotoxin, are those good?"
>240+ hours on steam
>neither of the scout mobility boost OCs
>no fat boy
>no sticky flame
>no bullet hell
>only just recently got magic bullet

based
yeah the game's designed for groups of 2~4 bros who do 1-3 drops a couple nights a week over a few years
Yeah the Overclock system was certainly ment with end-game players in mind, but since all the Dev listens to is End-game players, mid-game and starting players get shafted. The seasons are a good thing tho, lets you earn stuff as you play, that was a good move.
Strictly speaking consistency was slightly improved with choosing between 2 classes for your every 5 overclock bonus but that was nowhere near enough, they absolutely should have given you the option to disable drops for the new weapons, I was so close to special powder being all I had left and then the update dropped and I was suddenly bombarded with crossbow overclocks
my god I'm so sorry
I hope you at least enjoy the ricochet crossbow bolt overclock
I did get it eventually and then go right back to jumbo shells
Use save editor to give yourself 100 blank cores. Best decision ive ever made.
I play on PS5 but might switch over one day and juat save edit my progress and the like.
i dunno about PS5 but for Dark Souls 2 on PS3 all i had to do was get a modified savefile on an USB and put it in the save folder i wanted to pvp but the soul memory system in that game was dogshit
I never looked into modified files for.spuls games. Pretty sure that avenue was fixed or something with PS5 upload/downloads of saves.
very based, frick mmohomosexualry and frick the devs for introducing time gates
Which one do you use?
>300 hours in
>still havent dropped sticky fuel for driller
>mfw
id argue sticky fuel makes the game too easy. thankfully the rivals kinda counter that but still.
I couldn't imagine playing driller without it anymore
>have sticky fuel
>never use it in favor of corrosive sludge pump
How? You should have all the overclocks by now. You get at least 6 every week if you spend all your cores. What have you been doing the last 300 hours?
Game just isn't too fun so I don't like putting in the effort.
I honestly feel sticky fuel is overrated and boring, sure if you are a meta math sperg its probably the best option, but I feel facemelter is more fun and cum gun is better for area control
on haz 5 if the rest of your team goes down you will be really happy you brought sticky fuel over face melter
meta discussion below haz5 is kind of irrelevant because you can win with just your secondary weapon sometimes
Spot on. I've put in so many hours because I found the gun builds really fun but this is the main reason my friends and I dropped the game. Might use a save editor although I've never used one before
increasing sense of fomo when not playing it because I need to get 3 star red on all classes. One day.
i like this game because there are no women and minorities in it
what about you?
I'm a male majority
so non-white
yes, I'm chinese
Nta but Chinese aren't ppl
I play this game with my fellow boomer friends once a week. We finished another game so we've just been fricking around with this since we all got it for free. I dont see the issue with it. If you aren't playing it all the time then it doesn't get old and its fun with friends, which is why I guess Ganker hates it.
I'll still never get the "reddit" thing. This board was "reddit" at least a decade ago. This place went down fricking hill post 2009/10. Zoomers wouldn't know.
Limited OCs per week. My autism wont let me stop playing this piece of shit until i unlock everything, and i cant get cosmetic ocs/blanks fast enough to finish it faster.
>game is bad because I am crazy
I can absolutely see how that makes sense, to you.
dogshit progression system
Boring quickly (no pun)
>I AM A DWARF AND IM DIGGING A HOLE
>DIGGY DIGGY HOLE
>DIGGY DIGGY HOLE
how did these lyrics pass
>he doesn't know
explain
Popular streamer yogscast did a minecraft video and improvised the chorus on stream. It became a meme and they built a song around it later.
It was a joke.
blank cores
first and second gen weapons lack variety in their upgrades compared to third gen
I was going to say it's taking up coffee stain's resources but then I checked and actually it's made by someone else.
Then I was like "what are they working on right now? Oh right"
I'm never getting sanctum 3 am I?
>Mission are becoming more tedious and long
>Need to find the determination to do all you weekly quest
>No choice in Wich oc you want
Sometimes i want to launch the game to play one mission because I'm tired to play more
escort is boring
mactera just kinda teleport in front of you when they spawn unlike glyphids who crawl out of the ground
no blacklist
input delay
morons who mine gold and every crumb of nitra during deep dives making the mission twice as long
no way of skipping crafting animations or claim all items in the battlepass with one click
scout struggles with clearing hordes in a horde shooter
subata is weak and lame
no way of switching weapons while joining
cosmetic loadouts are tied to weapon and perk loadouts
scout is bait for adhd morons stop playing him
>cosmetic loadouts are tied to weapon and perk loadouts
what do you mean by that?
Your weapon loadout and cosmetics loadout aren't separate. You can't easily switch between different builds while keeping the same look.
NTA, but I think it's about the outfit loadouts at the and the weapon loadouts not being seperate
>escort is boring
>morons who mine gold and every crumb of nitra during deep dives making the mission twice as long
>no way of skipping crafting animations or claim all items in the battlepass with one click
how to tell people you have ADHD without actually telling them you have ADHD
>mactera just kinda teleport in front of you when they spawn unlike glyphids who crawl out of the ground
>input delay
>no way of switching weapons while joining
cosmetic loadouts are tied to weapon and perk loadouts
actual good complaints
>no blacklist
blacklist for what? people? just kick them from the game if they join
>no way of switching weapons while joining
i dont get it because there used to be a way of changing at least your class while in the loading screen up until a while. you could just press Q and E to cycle between the classes but one day this just stopped working all together and i dont get why. and loadouts, imo, you should be able to switch loadouts as long as your in the drop pod, or at least as long as you dont step out of your seat. i get this could be easily exploited by shooting out of the pod with shit like nuke and then switching to something else.
>you could just press Q and E to cycle between the classes
This still works but I don't know the conditions. It might be disabled for missions where the host has disabled duplicate classes.
ive been trying it on and off for hundreds of hours and never could get it to work again, i was sure it just doesnt work anymore.
How can you complain about people mining gold? what a little b***hboy.
Deep dives have a pretty shit multiplier so it's not really worth your time going for gold. May as well get them done and then go mine in a normal mission where it's worth more.
I guess thays one way of looking at it. How I tend to look at it is:
>I'm a dwarf, that means I'm gonna mine all the tings!
I mean, if there's a gold vein on the freakin' ceiling you're not gonna catch me making an epic quest to go mine it, but if it's *right there* I'm gonna mine it.
huuum stop roleplaying and play optimally okay? i NEED my weakly OC fix and i need it NOW
even in deep dives there's a lot of downtime, and if there's gold nearby during that time it only makes sense to mine instead of sitting around doing nothing
But they're free cosmetics BUT most of then suck dick.
shit weapon balance.
its getting too "wholesome" (reddit) with the new gay voicelines.
t. 600 hours in
>its getting too "wholesome" (reddit) with the new gay voicelines
?
He is likely referring to the voicelines you now get for pinging a fellow player, some universal and some dependent on what class the target is. So for engineer they might say something like "lol do you frick the turret?" and one line for pinging a driller is "you make this team really hole-some!" with the joke being that he creates holes, he drills things
There is also a rare? one of them just saying "You're cute!" which is pretty funny but I can understand having a stick up your ass and being mad at that
Ganker told him that DRG is reddit so now he has to maintain the narrative.
what new voicelines
Driller players are uniformly either gods at the game or autistic morons, there's no in between.
i am both and neither
R/gaming
No firing range
That one modifier with the immortal ghost bug sucks ass
literally walk away bro
frick shield disrupt and swarmers though
But he's on the site. and my friends are moronic and died on top.
I love this game, but:
>needs more enemy variety
>needs more biomes, last biome was added an eternity ago
>needs more mission types
>missions need to be less repetitive, add variants like different patterns for bossfights (heartstone, caretaker)
>tweak weapons to be more fun rather than more "balanced" (this autistic shit started around s1)
>add overclocks for more things, like grenades or even fricking bosco
>rework overclock system
>add more perks
>rework perk system
>add an infinite deep dive to farm cores
>add more quirks to the cave generation, after a while they all start looking samey
>add more ores to collect, for a game about mining you really usually only mine 4 things
>add more secondary objectives
>for the love of god move on from the robot shit and expand on the actual glyphids
>>add an infinite deep dive to farm core
this. something like crime spree from pd2 would be neat in deep rock
Do you play solo, or with friends?
Because no one I know can stop after a mere couple missions. It's always a couple HOURS, minimum.
Solo with randoms. Just did a pretty comfy mission with a random, just the two of us for the whole thing building pipelines.
I just hate dwarves.
gay alert
The bosses have periods of invincibility creates situations where their AI can break and basically softlock where they wonder around without ever changing phase.
I remeber this happening to me after a long period of not playing the game and instantly got me to drop the game again. It ended up changing phases so I could kill it but the potential for another half hour of watching a moron sperg out keeps me from coming back.
It's so good, it renders every other co-op game obsolete.
its an incredibly well designed game where they thought of everything necessary, except making it fun. it's just a boring same-y grind after about 20 hours.
the playerbase is also a bunch of spergs that think you HAVE to copy eceleb 'meta' builds even though its a baby pve game with barely any difficulty.
Monotonous. Took me like two pronotions to "figure out" generation.
>Every remotely interesting-sounding overclock guts your ammo capacity.
why
>mod doubles your damage but removes 1 shot
>dogshit
>mod halves your damage but gives +1 shot
>pure gold
why it be like this?
breakpoints and ammo efficiency dominate the meta
vermintide has a similar problem
building most weapons for damage isn't worth it because the team usually has 1-2 "delete this large enemy" buttons anyway and it's much better to build for horde clear unless you are one of those button-holders
There is litterally not a single robot enemy that I enjoy fighting.
its boring after awhile
Map generation is fricked for certain types of missions
Point extraction is probably my favorite mission type and I keep getting 80% identical caves
>hmm it will be safe to round this corner 🙂
>HOSTILE IN RANGE
>oh ok I will run back around the corner
>either get grabbed through a wall, shot with a forcefield through a wall, or he just mines the ground out from under you and then chokes the life out of you
hmm yes I would like an enemy with the strengths of a bulk detonator that also cave leeches you and never lets go, that's epic
Point extraction is the only type where I'm sure I ran into copies of the same cave.
PE always has a similarly shaped protrusion with 2-3 aquarqs in it and near the end it has a _/ looking pit with high areas at both sides that's good for driller to make a route to
>Balance is bonkers, Scout is very weak, Engie is boring aside two overclocks
>sprint should be build in the dorfs instead of a perk since is vital on everybody but Scout
>Overclocks are either dealbreakers or complete shit
>dogshit way to get Overclocks when instead you should be able to buy them with Perkpoints since the system of perk points push you to play multiple mission types for rewards
>needs more cosmetics in the regular shot
>timed events for said cosmetics
>no good mineral sink thanks to the new purple mineral to buy cosmetics
>more minigames in the space rig
>more beers
>new purple mineral to buy cosmetics
This is probably the dumbest fricking thing they've done recently. What's even the point
It’s meant to let new players have a currency to buy hats without dipping into their limited resources they need for improving their gameplay. Even though I pretty much exhausted the shop before it dropped I still think it was a good addition. Although I’ll admit I haven’t seen it through the eyes of a new player, I don’t know how much pants crystals they get and if it’s enough to get a good amount of cosmetics early on.
i'm a newish player and i like that i don't have to spend the good minerals on cosmetics since i'm constantly low on them
im playing with a friend thats new to the game and phasyonite is extremely rare, even with the amount that i play and you get barely anything from it. it makes practically no difference because the only cosmetics you could hope to buy with that stuff are the ones that are so cheap you could also just buy them with your regular money and minerals and not make a big dent in your pockets
I think its good but you get very little per vein (10-15) and is rather rare. At least alot of cosmetics are very, very cheap from 1 to 30 per item.
Their balancing is total shit
>people are using a new weapon that isn’t even better than the other options? Better nerf it so even with the novelty no one uses it for half a year
>hmm, regardless of platform people are saying the gk2 is weak. Better nerf the second best scout weapon multiple times, surely that will get people to use it
>certain weapon mods and ocs heavily dominate the discussion when it comes to balancing, should we adjust things? Frick it let’s just nerf the weakest option for the class instead
>hmm people seem to only be using hellfire on the coilgun, why is this? Frick it, lets just nerf it heavily, surely that will get people to use the other oc for it
whom here /driller/
>Shape the cave to your liking, outstanding for traversal and arranging the battlefield
>AND throw axes, which combo with vampire
>AND great crowd control
>AND has a gun for mining ceiling deposits quickly
>AND C4
Outstanding.
If Driller could mine resources with his drills he'd be my very favorite.
Why make me use the pickaxe on fricking nitra??
just drill out the rock behind the nitra, or use the c4, or the plasma pistol
it is a little weird but driller already has a lot of tools for making missions go way faster and in many cases way safer as well
>nooo don't use the heckin drills on the precious minerals they might get damaged
>oh but a matter-eating implosion is okay
>and so is fricking C4
you can drill around it and looking at 99% of driller players, they dont use their drills nearly enough to ever risk running out of fuel so you might as well do. i dont do it for nitra and morkite but gold and the rare dystrum is very easy to just drill around, especially on gold rush
>gold rush
>gold beer
>Crassus Detonater
We're rich!
They made a psychology decision regarding that, because they didn't want a designated "mining class" that would cause other people to ignore minerals. It's unfortunate, but it makes sense.
>makes cleaning out a Crassus crater take 90 seconds rather than 10 minutes.
>take pots of gold on gold rush mission
>crassus spawns at start as per usual
>tell driller to use pickaxe
>crassus shows up
>explodes in tunnel, fantastic
>driller proceeds to c4 everything
t.....thanks
You might get double the gold pickaxing for q5 minutes but the time save of c4ing just makes more sense. Sorry not sorry
isn't it quadruple the gold?
since all the buff beers are bugged and apply twice
>Be Driller
>Press buttons without asking
>You get C4'd
>You double dip ammo
>You get C4'd
>You don't efficiently do your role
>You get C4'd
>I think you might be LGBT or a non-white
>You get C4'd
oh driller, will you ever not commit war crimes
what is the best way to teamkill? a friend pissed me off and I want to slaughter him
I was thinking coilgun + mole + overcharger but I don't know how easy it is to kill a player through the friendly perk, since I suspect he has it equipped, also because killing someone through a wall is funnier and harder to identify the first couple of times I imagine
no I do not have nuke grenades
ROBOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Could be more fun
Devs don't understand their game and only play Haz 3
You should be able to promote a dwarf straight away, whoever decided to lock it behind 4 fricking missions is a moron. I know the game is literally based around arbitrary grind, but even I have standards.
Devs also balance things like a spaz while not being particaurly good at the game. Some things get the fricking hammer the second they start getting popular while others have been busted since day fricking 1. Meanwhile those c**ts fail half of the EDDs they stream.
>615 damage with only one of the damage upgrades, letting you take 3 of them + avoiding the volatile mod
>instakills through friendly with any defensive tools short of MAYBE gunner's blast resistance and damage resistance from guns/shield
jesus christ, I thought drillers teamkilling was a meme because I main driller and am competent and don't do that. thanks for opening my eyes anon
Overclock farm is very annoying and unncessarily grindy. Give me a progress bar so I get to choose an overclock every 5 missions.
Dwarves are shit.
doesn't have playable goblin women
Gonna play this with my boyfriend, any tips I should know?
The game has lots of issues:
The majority of biomes only feel half completed and bare bones compared to the newer ones.
Many of the weapon mods, overclocks, and even some weapons and grenades are objectively worse than others and never worth taking.
There needs to be at least 5 more mission types, and they need to be made secondary compatible. Every deep dive is just an endless mix of eggs/black box/dreads right now.
The robots suck major ass. They're not fun or satisfying to fight and they have all the hallmarks of bad enemy design.
There needs to be way more beers, especially buff beers.
The space rig needs to be customizable.
More paints and hair colours.
More bug types.
post 'em plus how far you are in the season pass
57
120ish
also had just over 300 on the first season
r8 the lads
I'm only level 21in the pass
What dlc is the nam flak jacket from?
All of those are from the roughneck pack, with various armor patterns (not included).
boring all around. Scout and engi are almost decent.
how should I improve my driller and gunner?
For gunner, the beard is just too gaudy. I had to stare at it for a while before I realized you were tying to make him look like an armyman? And for driller... I just think he looks stupid. Just a mish mash of hat, beard, mustache all around.
>driller
>Industrial sabotage
>shield generators down
>back to the warden
>voicechatting with best friend
>"hey man, I'm going to drill to the objective, follow me"
>literally next to me
>start warden fight with the 2 other pubs
>"hey bro, how did you get there"
Jesus christ man, all you had to do was walk straight
gunk seed collection in a mission with no molly is big gay
I don't get why Gunk seeds always take 12 to collect when it's one of the most annoying resources to gather
I'd take gunkseeds over ebonuts anytime. feels like the devs keep on adding more filler than substance with each update. the hacking minigame is literal filler.
I'll shoot the ballsacks off the ceiling, but that isn't a secondary that I worry about, especially since secondary mission pay is incredibly low compared to everything else, including random minerals.
I like gunk seeds because you can shoot them and collect them all at once. What I don't like are ebonuts and shrooms
Unstoppable, Thorns, Elemental Resistance, Fast Revive, and 2nd active depends on class.
Thorns is for those little larvae.
I am not saying this to shit on you and honestly believe it, please prove me wrong if you believe otherwise:
you are fricking over your team if you ever do no bring iron will to a mission, short of something you know will be a clean sweep or having utter confidence that you will never, EVER in a million years ever die.
>Everyone gets downed
>use IW
>so did everyone else
>you wipe anyways
OR
>use IW
>rez people
>they just run around panicking and die almost right away again anyways because they can't hold their own or think to use their tools to get out of the middle of the swarm
IW is one of the best perks but if you're even half decent and not a drooling moron you'll almost always be the last person alive anyways and the way most idiots act when you revive them makes it rare that popping an IW actually saves the mission, more likely you'll just rez a dumbass who runs off to go die again in a far off corner.
completely fair, however that's why you take vampire, so you can IW -> power attack something -> gtfo, so if you die while you're the last one alive you get one last chance
but yeah frick moronic pubbies
im usually the last one alive and i assume everyone is having their eyes on me so when i do die i can instantly pop IW and rarely have the problem of someone else using it at the same time. also, if you notice shit going down and you do have some nitra just call a pod so that you or your team mates can counter heal if possible. thats how ill use IW most of the time anyways.
>huge swarm
>everyone down but me
>drop a pod somewhere or try to find red sugar
>if i go down ill go get the sugar or the pod, whichever is easier to reach
>take resupplier for bigger window for successful resupping.
>either continue on on my own and clear the swarm or rez someone along the way once things cool down enough to warrant it
works most of the time
Fast rez for the insta-pop as well as the 30% rez speed is huge.
Popping the IW and then rushing a rez is inferior to me keeping that 30% rez chain going.
>you are fricking over your team if you ever do no bring iron will to a mission
Is this 2020? This hasn't been true for a long time. Hell, I'd say Dash/Field Medic is the more useful setup now, if anything.
playing gunner with its ziplines after experiencing platforms, grappling hook, and the almighty drills feels like pure shit. people would rather pickaxe up a wall than use the damn things too
zipping over a pit is just asking for a spitter or mactera to knock you off.
ziplines are suffering, they are agonizingly slow
Personally ziplines are amazing. It exceeds during point extraction but even in other mission types it's really good depending on how you use it. You even get a big frick-off shield with gunner that lets you kill bugs while being mostly untouchable. Can't do that with scout.
One of the things ziplines can do that no other mobility tool can is get the entire team from point a to point b quickly, as long as point b is lower than point a. Scout can only do that for himself. Otherwise, yeah, it's the weakest mobility tool.
>gunners that place a zipline at an angle that there is no sharp enough incline to boost in either direction
>pic related, me waiting to finally reach the other side(before being knocked off by a web spitter and into a pit and my death)
Ziplines are better as a battle tool than a mobility tool tbh
You make one at a mid level at a straight angle and now you are immune to all nonflying, non ranged enemies.
It's decent considering the game is made by indie developers. But damn, any crafting game or survival game automatically seems to be considered 10/10 by normies. It's really fricking moronic lmao.
>call in drop pod
>molly goes straight up to the ceiling and through the hole left by a resupply
THE MULE HAS BEEN SECURED, THE DROPSHIP IS LEAVING, WITH OR WITHOUT YOU.
for me, it's
>or through a hole left by the gunner's coilgun
>Heading to the drop pod.
>Fall in a hole a resupply created.
>on a low oxigen mission
this actually happened to me today, good thing i was a scout
had to leave the other 3 to die tho
I feel like this is a more common issue on fungus bogs than on any other zone. Does it generate more vertically or something?
too grindy when it comes to unlocking weapons and mods
/v/eddit
farming all the overclocks is pita
quintillions of slight variations of the same beard existing only to bloat drop pool
devs love to nerf fun things
longtime player and my complaints are as such:
>robots suck
>like everything related to the robot stuff ended up being very mediocre
>balance among overclocks sucks
>most weapon mods are shit and there's very obvious choices (you basically just always go for total damage/ammo unless building for specific breakpoints or elemental interactions)
>there's genuinely too much shit to unlock, i cheat in matrix cores and have 500+ hours and dont have plenty of shit im considering just using tools to unlock everything at this point
>overclocks absolutely 1000% need a different unlock method that allows people to zero in on what they want quickly
Too many shitters recently
This, I think most veterans have already filled out the season pass and quit till next season. There are so many utterly moronic greenbeards joining my haz 4 and 5 lobbies lately it's genuinely grating.
>join haz 1, 2, or 3 lobby
>squad of all megapromoted level 900 giga autists
>join haz 4 or 5 lobby
>all unpromoted players
additionally, has anyone noticed that the more promotions a scout player has, the less likely they are to be good? to do their fricking job? I see greenbeard scouts use their fricking flares because they've just been taught to do their job, over time they must be conditioned by playing the class with the biggest tendency to be selfish, and turn into pricks who don't give a shit about helping others
I have about 500 hours in DRG and I always use flares as scout. It baffles me how few sc**ts ever pop a single flare during a mission.
thank you for being one of the good ones, I truly don't mean to shit talk a class you enjoy, I think he's fine and even a good and well-designed class, just that his movement tool is the only one that "benefits only him", aside from gathering minerals that everybody gets it's also useful in combat, for just going faster, and etc. and I think that can mentally train people to be c**ts
>get weird fps dip and black shit on screen like my gpu's dying
>look around
>see guy using this
i don't know what sorcery powers the sludge pump but it fricks my pc up
volatile impact mixture is so fricking overpowered that it deals all overkill damage direct to your graphics card and hard drive
>Say something negative about this game that doesn't include the word "reddit".
The constant shilling on Ganker is the worst thing about the game. Coffee Stain is one of the only publishers I instantly don't buy from now, they shill like Ubisoft. A shame too because the DRG game is fun, but its not the right kind of fun with all the shills trying to be playground gestapo controlling the narrative 24/7.
>low-ranking player joins my haz 5 lobby
>immediately kick them
I'm absolutely done with the greenbeards who don't know their own skill and want the team to carry them
I've gotten to that point too, it's not "cute" to have a greenbeard join anymore when they're so numerous and go out of their way to play outside their league. They just wanna be carried and cash out on the high hazard bonuses.
Devs posting this type of stuff is why the game is deader than shit.
>Devs
meds
Difficulty settings exist for a reason, people should pick the ones they can actually play instead of just going into the highest difficulty possible so veterans can drag their corpse around.
The devs are the only ones playing on haz 5 and kicking their playerbase for thinking they were actual players.
Its really weird. I get needing to fluff your playercount and lobbies but kicking the people that join is backwards.
The frick are you talking about?
The devs are known for being haz 4 shitters
Who has it easier?
A man who only plays Haz4 with no overclocks.
Or one that plays Haz5 with all the overclocks.
I'm the first one btw.
You realise the progressiongay garbage is whats doing it? Muh metaprogression season pass unlock shit has ruined games
Most of the unranked people that join my haz 5 lobbies haven’t been that bad. But that could be because I mostly play gunner so I can salvage most situations easily.
ye but it is a peak reddit-tier game that has a lot of highly strung unironic trannies lurking in the smaller communities
>only 10% of players have the cheevo for playing just 25 missions with much lower ranked people than them
shameful display, miners
You've seen the entirety the game has to offer after playing for 2 hours.
Its not content rich and its a gamification of menial labour lol.
Getting real tired of this shit
t.
Do (You) have it, Ganker?
last cheevo I need. saving it for when the boys (male) are on
Yes, all it takes is a swarmer nest
The little bit of info they've given us for S3 has already had them specifically tell us it will NOT be robots.
>drg going to die bc robots
see pic rel.
>robots suck
they are generally tankier than bugs, which can make them frustrating, but they do add a nice variety in the core combat (bugs, mactera, robots)
>rework/balance
>Prospectors already floated high by the ceiling
no?
seriously you keep showing your ignorance.
>you the player treat it the same - shoot the vents.
>it has a weakspot like 99% of other shit in the game
>this makes it the same as one random thing that has weakspots
Black person please.
>The devs can't win.
Who cares?
Copy your peers. S2 showed GSG have no idea how to do something different from what they've done.
>Who cares?
I care. I like the game, so I'd want to see it get fair criticism. Not just "New is frightening and requires me to grow as a player, so I hate it!"
All criticism is fair. Anything the consumer says is a critique of theirs is valid by definition.
Oh shut the frick up. I disagree, so frick your critique.
can you get a trip so I can filter you
>new gamemode
just give me an infinitely scaling deep dive
>new biome
not very original but i like the idea of an expedition into a massive creature, not sure how it'd work with all the mission types though.
maybe you're gathering minerals from the belly of a giant loot bug
a revamp for existing biomes would be nice, get them all up to the same level as hollow bough and azure weald
>asking for a safe space
kek you can't be sneerious
>wanting to silence a moron who's been shitting up the thread for hours is the same as demanding a safe space
dilate
Ocean of piss newbie
>149 ips
yeah that one gay is pissing an ocean
>alright dwarves, I have a new mission for you.
>this one's gonna be a doozy, hope you have insurance.
>that team before you didn't get wiped out this time, there's a survivor.
>we don't leave dwarves behind at Deep Rock, this is a rescue op.
>we're sending you in boys, buckle up and bring supplies its gonna be a long one.
> it might be Karl
>It's sad that everyone says this.
they dont.
there is a constant complaint by people who dislike it, and no reaction by people who do not dislike it.
you are mistaking the lack of praise for them for overwhelming dislike.
It's almost a perfect game so there are only minor things that annoy me after 700 hours:
>ledge grabbing is janky as frick
>IW needs a HUD indicator for other dwarfs, so they don't show as dead while they run around
>"Ubisoft HUD" that shows too much unnecessary information. it even completely blocks the view when mission control appears under the escort mission drill progress bar
>Fail joining missions completely reloads the space rig and spawns you back in your room. I exclusively host now.
it isn't owned by Bethesda (yet)
People that kick for "this game was meant to be private" should themselves be sequestered offline or forced into a real private mode themselves.
Fastest thing killing the game besides Ghost Ship themselves.
"this game was meant to be private" is simply the first option highlighted when someone kicks another player and people don't want to bother explaining anything to someone they're kicking.
I don't care, its ruining the game and the game is already in dire straits as is.
There is no real community, its all astroturfed by the developers. 99% of the content is repurposed Ganker memes, they are just idiot Ganker tards trying to shill.
Driller is too broken.
>driller broken
>in a game where HE exists
driller>scout>engie>gunner
driller with sticky fuel and sticky flames mods can solo clear haz 5 while the rest of the team is kissing dirt
blows my mind how there are so many cryo drillers but I guess they are getting carried so hard by drak scouts and neuro gunners that they don't notice that their build has trash ammo efficiency
>inb4 "muh anti-mactera freeze" that takes tons of ammo and runs out quickly during plagues
repetitive and boring after 3 hours
>two weapon overclocks a week
>season update system is bad long term, going to cause cosmetic bloat and general lack of cosmetic quality due to devs bring forced do design an X amount of cosmetics to be released every 3-4 months
>randomly generated caves get boring quick
>deep wiener cumlactic
Needs a lot more loadout slots.
Too difficult to get overclocks and stuff for the class you play because RNG fricking blows chunks.
>haha this is a multiplayer game with great atmosphere and bants, haha rock and stone xD
Fricking nobody talks, even in text chat, even at haz 5 and deep dives, no one who plays this game is social at all and after EVERY match everyone silently leaves.
Shit is like playing warframe, just sonic dash to the end and grind maps endlessly
you don't need to talk
the laser pointer and V do all the necessary communicating
>ping a steam geyser and watch a greenbeard blow himself up
never gets old.
Molly is gay
Molly is a good girl who takes a load well
This is a great game, but I don't really get the progression system. What am I working towards?
Nothing. Its slave labor as a game. You'll wake up from what you're doing in a few hours and uninstall the game like everyone else.
you work towards getting upgrades for your guns that change how they work and finding how you like to play. past unlocking weapon ocs the real endgame grind is for fashion
ignore this moron
>its slave labor as a game
>you work towards getting upgrades
Its literally slave labor, and the upgrade system is working lol.
Its literally a game about being a miner. Its like making a game about being a railway coolie or a 49er.
>you work towards
Probably shouldn't use the word work when trying to naysay a guy saying its just a job as a game.
These threads are ALWAYS a fricking embarrassing display of thinly veiled shill posts that read like facebook mom memes.
>not the first post from this ip
rent free
>you play a game to unlock features
wooow its just like work
>rent free
damn it you really had to go and proove trannies play this game
>not the only post from this ip
nice one, sherlock. probably gunna have to admit that there's been 40 "real" posters and 54 shills who made the other 160 posts (lol)
>I uninstalled when I got my first promotion and the game expected ME to pay for it.
ok so you're shitposting for attention got it
>latching onto a commonly used phrase and using it to assume what kind of person I am
cope :^)
>WAAAH BAWWW MORE THAN ONE POST
>meanwhile unabashed shills multi posting
>NOOOO YOU PULLED ME UP ON RENT FREE
>COPE
yup... it's an american troon and a bit of a dense one at that :^(
>accidentally find yourself emulated a reviled class
Yeah, you sure got us bro.
Seethe.
>rent free
is this why the game is dying? These types kill anything they move into like a parasite.
Too repetitive.
I played it for 70 hours, but that's the best I can do.
how are we this far into DRG without a copy and paste button for loadouts including different cosmetic loadouts
how is there no workshop equivalent where you can pick from user submitted cosmetic blends
how are they going to deal with a pool of 100+ hats, armors, beard/mustache/sideburn (plus colors), weapon aesthetics (plus colors), and victory poses, all in season 3?
this game's GUI is going to become a nightmare to navigate
garbage optimization
>long escort mission that needs 2 refuels
oH my god yeah ha ha that awkward moment when you have to refuel? Such oil shale lol am I right?
>not pre-running the route and clearing everything out before starting
NGMI, you have a 3d radar map for a reason lad.
pre-drilling is boring and unnecessary except for EDDs
huge waste of time
Yea I think pre drilling is only needed in EDD, other then that it’s just unfun.
That is the dumbest shit in the game and I kick any driller dumb enough to do it.
pre-digging is the most stupid tryhard shit I have ever seen people do in this game, there is literally no point
I once joined a haz 4 game with a driller host who spent like 5 minutes digging into the next caves in advance without even starting the drill, literally pointless. I started the drill and he kicked me, saved me a lot of time honestly
run rocky mountain and undermine the shale (or have driller and scout do it) and the dwarves at the bottom of the cave can suck up all the shale in one go
literally a non-issue even on haz5
>break oil shale
>guy hogging canister doesn't register loose bits of shale as usable and keeps looking for big deposits
every time
>There are people in this thread RIGHT NOW that treat this game as a job, trying to race to unlock everything and be done; Instead of playing for the joy of gaming.
don't let it be you, anon.
That's why people drop it and go back to L4D, TF2 or Minecraft, Dev kun.
The devs treat it like a job with dailies and weeklies. Get rid of those.
But you don’t have to do them?
Just stop.
Huh? I never feel the need to do them.
Just stop.
I will not stop playing DRG until I get bored of it
Do you think I fall into that category if I simply skip a few days on my calendar to refresh the season challenges? I'm literally out of blank cores because I'm so addicted to the season terminal...
Yes. If you play DRG you internalized working in your games.
You can't avoid it. Its literally menial labor as a video game. You get "promoted" and have an "boss" that gives you "directives" while you mine minerals like a fricking slave.
I'm sorry you cannot tell the difference between themes and actual work
If work is the theme its just work.
If the game is structured like a job people will see it like a job.
Nothing like killing a ton of bugs with a nuke or rockets. I’m a simple man and enjoy simple things.
embrace the superior bug-killing co-op horde shooter, anon
What's the best entry point? Reviews for the chronologically newest title were kinda bad on steam I think
5 is the start of a new story (whereas 4 is a sequel to 3 and 2 is a sequel to 1), so you can start there no problem. 5 has positive reviews anyway.
each game is an incremental improvement over the previous entry anyway, so you don't miss out on much by starting with 5.
plarp?
Gotcha. Oh I probably misremembered. The reviews are good, but the price tag is pretty ridiculous imo. Game is from 2019 and costs 50€ with none of the DLC which totals at 40€. Gonna have to see how it looks on sale.
the only dlc that matters are the mission packs. the rest are shitty weapons that get outclassed after playing 5 levels
>japanese games has weapon dlc
>it has a leveling system and the dlc is made useless after an hour of play
every single time
what is wrong with them...
probably some sort of subtle protest over having to include microjewing from the devs
well half of the dlc weapons are also crossover anime shit
Its not chores, its a job. You are performing a job. If you eliminate the "rewards" you are just doing a job... for free.
>If you eliminate the "rewards"
Don't do that then?
You are still doing a job as gameplay at that point. No reason to even play games like that.
Anon, there are trucking, management, and even cleaning simulators out there. But they're gamified, and people enjoy the experience, so they play them. Acting all indignant and like someone is making a profit off your labor (and not your purchase) is silly. Are you a teenager by chance?
Those games exist and their fans get made fun of for being losers just the same. You don't have to get defensive about what you like. Its all good anon.
So, "yes" to the teenager thing? Yeah, thought so.
I went out hours ago and that commiefrick was still b***hing and moaning about Deep Rock being exploited employment instead of a video game. You'll never get through to him.
You learn very quickly that only 3-4 options actually exist, you'll get kicked enough to learn the meta when you aren't playing "right."
I'm glad you enjoy your game anon, its just not for me. Its got that speedrunner stink wafting off it, same types of weirdos.
I have over 200 hours in this game and haven't been kicked once for not following whatever bullshit meta you've made up
>200 hours on haz1
Impressive, shameful, but impressive.
I've completed multiple EDD's, homosexual
>Its got that speedrunner stink wafting off it, same types of weirdos.
autistic incels. birds of a feather type deal.
>you'll get kicked enough to learn the meta when you aren't playing "right."
Bullshit. Who told you that? Because nobody has ever micromanaged what weapons and OC's I go into a mission with, besides maybe someone mentioning a mission is filled with "Mactera" and suggesting cryo grenades.
>Its got that speedrunner stink wafting off it, same types of weirdos.
Have you even played this game? Almost all teams I join are intent on stripping a mine clean before bailing. There's very little minmax speedrun homosexualry here.
>you'll get kicked enough to learn the meta when you aren't playing "right."
700 hours and this has never happened to me, and I like to experiment. How utter dogshit are you?
I have only ever kicked 2 or 3 people, one of them was a fricking frog poster and I can only remember the other ones just plain being shit.
>joy of gaming
>can't even rock and stone when doing something
>season pass daily unlocks level ups etc etc
>meanwhile CHAD DEFENSE FORCE lets you do whatever you want when you want
general
Difficulty in general of haz 4 and 5 fluctuates too much. Some hazard 4 dives are tougher than 5s and some 5s are easier than 4s.
I should be able to lock button pushing to myself as lobby leader unless I am downed. Too many dumbfricks pushing buttons which frick the mission(mostly hacking events since they continue for like 10 minutes before failing).
hacksy events go indefinitely until they are completed so having someone start those too early/without enough nitra is a straight up game ender
drives me crazy when greenbeards do it
Has no worm enemies in it.
there's that parasite modifier that makes worm things pop out of every bugs
The new callouts are cringe
YOU'RE CUTE
The progression isnt worth the grind
Kiddie game where you shoot bugs. Boring and easy.
Whenever i think of anyone from this website playing this game i just think of the haz 3 lobby on this image
posted wrong image, still drives the same message across though
please do not compare us to the french
Glad I play on PlayStation, never get these types of rooms.
Game's mostly dead on PC because of the playerbase killing it. People are very serious about roleplay as a wagecuck and they don't want you fricking up their quarterly review.
once you get past bronze nobody cares anymore
No one plays the game so its a moot point. Even on PS4 you have to wait or do solos because no one is there.
Huh? I can find rooms on ps4/5 no matter the time of day
>mostly dead on pc
anon it's the most popular coop shooter that isn't made by valve and doesn't sell hundreds of dollars in dlc
I know, I already said it was dead.
Play at primetime idiots. My lobbies fill before I leave the dropod room.
Dead games don't have a primetime moron. Its dead all the time.
do not reply to the morons bait
You're either trolling or playing in antarctica or something. Lobbies fill up rapid fast, I usually have a full team before I can even leave in the drop pod.
I'm doing neither. The game is stale and in a tailspin. People with sunken cost will always act the same regardless of the medium.
I play during the "deadest" hours on weekdays and people still join my lobby (though it's 99% chinese just like with helldivers)
It just isn't fun and the reddit tier humor of the dwarves gets tiring quickly.
It appears structured to waste your time, aggressively so.
>12 minutes into escort mission
>scout who previously played completely normal digs under the drill and empties his magazines into it
>does next to no damage to the drill, we don't even come close to losing an armor piece
>kick him
Literally what was the point of that. The only one he fricked over was himself
Wait you can hurt the drill?
driller can satchel charge it to death pretty quickly and make mad all if he really wants to (on haz 5 at least)
yes i do this on every lobby with rank/level requirements out of principle
yeah but the friendly fire reduction is so high it's really hard to grief people with it. The scout shot at it for 15 seconds straight and did maybe 20% damage which we repaired in 3 seconds.
>There was once that autistic raging on about "social ladders" in these threads
>Now there's somebody saying that this game is just a job to work
I wonder what the next mega sperg will be raving on and on about while we laugh at him?
>Now there's somebody saying that this game is just a job to work
Midget, you mine minerals for a living. Its called being a miner, its a terrible job irl. They made it as aggravatingly mundane and boring as an actual job.
My friend group dropped the game, said they don't want to play it after working 9-5.
Ironically I inherited a coal mine, so I have the time to play.
So whats with the falling into the void glitch? it happens pretty regularly now, is this something from S2?
happens to me if I'm clipping against something while digging and jumping (kind of like the space rig outside glitch minus the digging)
if you dig while standing still it won't happen
Whats causing it though? I'm thinking its linked to the Nemesis spawn somehow. The glitch shows up in maps with Nemesis and most of the time he just *pops* into existence. I'm thinking he was sitting OOB and the script moving him IB is wonky somehow.
no clue, S2 introduced a lot of little glitches so I think it's more a season thing than a nemesis thing
you know, I purposefully jumped out of a salvage operation as scout the other week, and it just deleted my player character instead of spawning me inbounds like it used to. The god gamers i was with didn't even kick me even though it's technically my fault I got softlocked, what chads.
other than that quirky little thing you can do on salvage, I've never fallen out of bounds before.
Ive noticed it happens more often with high latency and trying to dig holes too small for your character, probably want to avoid those
im a summersale gay so i cant help you unfortunately
Skill issue
No melee build.
>guy keeps letting the resupply land on him for the ~~*meta*~~
>starts crying when no one will res him
>gets kicked as the drop pod is about to leave
I think he was screaming in Portuguese for a good 10 minutes and then poof, kicked.
Can't kick people when you've called the drop pod. Shills can't even keep it together lol.
We didn't call the drop pod, it was just the end of the mission.
What would I even be shilling kek?
>driller drills them into a hole
>engi puts a lid on their casket
bonkgays get buried in my room
>letting the resupply land on him for the ~~*meta*~~
What
You'll end up with more hp after being lifted than you had before you let yourself get killed.
Its moronic because the resupply will heal you anyway. People that do it get left down.
That sounds fricking moronic
It is. Thats why you won't get picked up if you do it.
>You'll end up with more hp after being lifted than you had before you let yourself get killed.
low hazardlets....
Hazard level has nothing to do with it. Even at Haz5 if you have 1 hp you will have more than 1 after being ressed.
All number are larger than 1 anon, on all difficulties.
It doesent matter
You are wasting the time of other people having them navigate to your corpse and doing a 6 second dance (hopefully without random mactera spawning 2 feet from them and spitting them down aswell) instead of just taking better care of yourself or just healing yourself the normal way.
Yes, he knows. He said it was dumb from the outset and said you won't get saved by another player.
Just say bump next time dude, you don't have to ramble and fail to make a point to just end up agreeing with people. Just type bump and hit post.
see
>its moronic
Your hp regenerates when very low, and on h5 you get like 10 hp from res and 15 from natural regen. I dunno if it's useful of haz4 in any capacity at all but it's just a stupid thing to do. Any lower and you don't even need the extra healing anyway because of the low amount of bugs and natural red sugar. Who comes up with these strats.
Enemy variety is very poor. It’s been over a year since they’ve added new bug enemies. Fighting the same basic brown spiders gets extremely tedious.
No much fun single player.
reminder to kick chinese players out of principle, 80% of them are cheating anyways
>kick chinese player
>get steam account hacked
>tells people to kick chinese players
>posts chinese art
?
the artist is actually texan
It was done by an anon.
kek the 2 shills are chinese
Always are
>chinaman joins team
>ok whatever
>he goes down
>he quits shortly thereafter
chinks cannot into mining it seems
>LiveLeak watermark appears above Chinese player
I can fap to this
>an unskilled native laborer in India, China, and some other Asian countries.
There's a specific moniker for chinese failure in mining - coolie.
Devs are incompetent as frick when it comes to balance.
>he doesent know
its much worse than you think
?t=93
Its a job simulator like Tractor Sim, why did you think balance was a factor?
The reality is they actively make it worse intentionally, it really is supposed to be a job simulator, it isn't supposed to be fun or give you enjoyment.
Its a deliberate slow death march.
Feels like it for sure. Havent played in a while and tended to run solo mostly and the shitstorm over nerfing steeve was laughably idiotic. Or certain overclocks deemed "too op" so nerf plz etc
Oh fricking hell
There was a commie in the last thread that was reeeeing about Deep Rock being a job/slave simulator and we're all missing the nuanced critique of capitalism because MUH SPADE DORFS. I don't know how you guys manage to make yourselves fricking miserable no matter what, what a way to live.
Its a game about doing a job. Its autistic shit for germans.
Job?
I leave that to the scout, i just shoot things.
Keep licking the boot gunner, even though your overseer is revealed to be your nemesis just keep doing your job.
You might get a promotion one day!
I'll shoot them too, why do think they keep the miners segregated from the rest of the station?
i'm satisfied with violence and i need nothing more
>Be a drunk space dwarf that shoots xeno-scum
>b-but its just work
No, its not... And neither is walking your neighbours dogs, you commie homosexual.
You aren't a dwarf anon, its a video game. You just like to play things like Euro Truck Simulator. Its fine. You don't need to start some defensive cope over it.
>You aren't a dwarf anon, its a video game.
You're right and you completely destroyed your own arguement. It's a video game, not work. (:
what thread was this?
Thursday, the thread yesterday got yeeted early for no reason.
I'm looking for it in the archive - what term should I use? capitalism? Was it a post or a thread?
The only thing I've seen about Disco Elysium (apart from people screaming that its a commie game) is a screencap of a letter about someone inhaling and tasting a girls farts. It was... interesting, I guess.
Up the difficulty sweetheart
The game only goes to haz5, can't.
mods
Crying for the jannies isn't going to help you.
>consolegay cant conceive of modding a game
>missing a very topical Ganker joke, on Ganker
Shills aren't anons, they don't think as anons.
The community is why the game is dead. The devs are too strongarm trying to lead their fake grassroots fandom.
>Join DRG discord when it was new
>Me and a few lads are making Elf jokes (yeah yeah original)
>Mod drops in to say that Deep Rock is about tolerance and working together, not competition.
>I point out that Elves aren't real, so there is nobody to get offended.
>He says that I look like someone he'd block
>I ask him when the operation is to get that pickaxe removed from his ass
>I get kicked from the server
There was also drama involving Dwarfurious kicking people who didn't like MLP or who supported Trump on their twitter. (yeah, he was tracking people who joined back to their twitter accounts)
>mods are troony homosexuals
News at 11
Its why the game died. They tried to cultivate a shill force on Ganker and turned out to be soft homosexuals.
You have to be able to handle the bants.
>can't refute point so start cracking epic Ganker dark web jokes
I accept your concession.
I've been thinking about getting this humble choice to actually get this, and give away the copy of Necromunda since I bought it on release.
Save your time/money. Game's just a chore that gets heavily shilled.
Shut the frick up schizo
Its ok, on the same level of enjoyability as something like vermintide but theres no reward for endgame grind and the core system is godawful so Gankerpcs lose their minds
You're money would be better spent elsewhere. Its a truly aimless waste of time with no real structure.
Which gamemode for fast credits?
Robot enemies are oft annoying to fight and have pushed most to go for full fire damage at all times to deal with them.
Blank cores are an annoying extra step for getting OCs
Outside of the two weekly assignments and deep dives there never really feels like there's a good incentive to pick any mission beyond the shortest ones to fish for cashes/events/etc
RNG on bonus events like cashes and events is way too infrequent sometimes
you can only reply to me if you finished all the unlocks this season
finished everything ~2 weeks ago
now I just help friends play
I only do core hunts now so I can afford promotions
I have not but I'm replying to you anyways
chances that the "It's just like real work" schizo is also cat hating save edit schizo?
mine the ceiling, Bosco!
It's unironically commies, I've seen the argument before. They don't have jobs, so the bar for what is work has to get lower and lower so that they can feel victimized.
Its probably just someone with self worth seeing how time wasty this game is. I mean it is a literal job for poor people that rekts your body in the real world.
boring after a few hours
scouts
Can confirm that there is an overlap with Kerillian players in Vermintide and Scouts in Deep Rock. It explains everything.
boring.
only played solo for like 3 hours though, but didn't have enough carrot on stick stuff to upgrade and the mining was just tedious and boring. enemies were boring too
>suck on this you nig of nature
>explosives, based!
>porn ready!
>you leaf fondling son-of-a-mutt goyem, we're on the same side!
What did DRG dwarves mean by this?
>Say something negative about this game
Ehmm, ohkay. I hate it when my voicecomms go straight into
> SHIT, FRICK, INVISIBLE c**t!, HOW YOU TRANSPARENT BASTARD!, KEEP THAT JIZZSTAINCOLOUREDFRICK PINGED AT ALL TIMES!
On endless loop cus my friends like to flaunt their inability to deal with one of the most annoying gameplay gimmicks on Hoxxes 5
Where are these guys when you need them?
>posting a Counter-Strike webm in a DRG thread
Anime is so fricking dumb
And I dont know how they could do it, but what about some competing goblins (perhaps exclusively female shortstack goblins)? are in charge of another mining concern?
my friend said there are cute and funnies in this game
stupid son of a b***h
How do i make the lok-1 not suck? Shit runs out of ammo waaay too fast and has dogshit damage against anything that isn't a standard grunt
bros... wtf...
Didn't they change GTFO so now it can be played more run and gun instead of stealth?
no, completely the opposite
you have a stamina bar now so you can't kite sleepers endlessly around a room
ammo is still scarce so shooting everything is a great way to end up at 0% really fast, certain death for the next alarm wave
D2 and C3 especially this rundown
do you even play the same game?
More like you have to endure boring trash gameplay for long enough to get there, there's nothing impressive about syncing up melee kills with people on mic, it's not a hard game it's just boring.
nobody is synching up kills unless it's a group of giants close together, you just make sure there's no waking sleepers nearby and if there are you rush in and kill them before they wake the rest of the room
also you can solo giants by breaking limbs because each break stuns them for a few seconds
you definitely never made it past A levels
I don't care lol, you aren't convincing me why I should give the game another go, stick with your elitist chums who think a shit game made by hack payday devs is so friggen deep.
I don't give a shit if your crybaby ass can't handle GTFO, I can find a 4 man team via the official discord whenever the frick I want
stay mad in your mad-cave with your malding friends
I watched some GTFO gameplay, and I thought the hacking was cool. Reminded me of Enter the Matrix.
But otherwise the game is completely uninspired garbage.
wow anon you're so cool for playing different game
No one from my group is playing it because it's TRIPLE THE PRICE of DRG when they're both on sale.
Frick off 1st worlder.
Even as great as the community is 99% of the time, the 1% where people are real buttholes is terrible and stand out more.
>as great as the community is
Community is fricking dogshite, I've been banned from the discord twice and you're not even allowed to metion brand new players joining HAZ 4/5 because THATS GATEKEEPING AND HOW FRICKING DARE YOU RUIN OUT TOLERANT AND ACCEPTING GAME!!!!!!!
I don't even use discord. Maybe that's your problem.
Outside the groomers, furries and gays. Discord is great to use for a small circle of friends. I only joined the deep rock server because I wanted free stuff.
SCOUTS
SCOUTS ARE WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS GAME
IF YOU'RE A SCOUT I HOPE YOU READ THIS
I am NOT REVIVING YOU
I am NOT HELPING YOU WITH MY PLATFORMS
YOU'RE A FLASHLIGHT FIRST AND FOREMOST
DO YOUR JOB PROPERLY
Needs more decorated and grand looking beards
>Only shills talk about the game positively
>Why play when you can edit your save file
>This game is a job
What excuse will the schizo come up with next?
He doesn't need anything, the game is dying on its own.
You don't have to defend corporations on Ganker. You don't have to not do it, but you also don't have to do it.
I can't even give you a pithy reply on why an anon would want to be a simp for a game company so hard.
Why would an anon want to roleplay as that? I don't think its roleplay, I think its an actual marketer. He's taking this personally like he has some investment in the game succeeding or not.
Normal people don't care. A shill would care, a shill would feel compelled to "correct the record" and white knight against personal attacks against the devs.
Anon wouldn't give a frick about any of this. But a paid shill would.
Why are you replying to yourself?
>defending a game being lied about is the same as shilling for corporations
what kind of life leads to this mindset
Okay Black folk
Give me your best idea for a new gamemode and a new biome
I don't really want any new biomes. Just for more content in existing ones. Sand shark is cool, give me more biome specific bugs like that.
Flesh Biome that swallows Dwarves and seperates them from teammates, horror/creepy theme with your light that flickers on and off.
progression is a bit too slow and i actually love this game
i quit the game because it kept giving me overclocks to guns i don't use or even want to attempt to deal with their garbage stats
also the levels are all the same, they have modular tiles or some shit because i kept seeing the same high ceiling with a circular tube bridge running through it, the same dome room off to the side away from everything else
the same looking pits and shit
Is this game good to play with my husband?
Individual rounds are pfun, game its built around is cancer.
>most overclocks are incredibly boring
>devs overly obsession with balance makes most weapons feel weak without the specific overclock
classic wow problem of the devs listening to the 1% doing EDD. The 1% stays 1% because they kick everyone for being a ~~*greenbeard*~~.
>Sludge gun was fun af on release
>Gunners in their discord were crying about being outkilled
>Devs nerf it into the ground
>then buff
>then nerf
>then buff
I don't even know where it is now but I'm just sick of tweaking it and trying to make it work. I think its still strong with impact overclock but I prefered it as a dot gun.
They simply don't know what they are doing. Some of the weapon perks in the same line will invalidate the others in practice.
Its always going to have that early access feel because they don't know how to get the gun to do what they designed it as within their system.
it's mostly the old guns that have boring ocs, since u19 they've been getting steadily better
ive been playing for like 30 hours, is there other full body cosmetics than the mk armors and paid dlc?
99% of the cosmetics are for the head.
There is one free armor called something like "Scale Brigade." But for the most part, full armor sets are DLC.
It's not fun.
There's no end goal, nothing to work towards, it's just 'go mine. extract. repeat.' there's no proper leveling system, there's no cool upgrades. it's just repetitive autist shit.
>he isn't autistic
You're supposed to approach the game with a L4D2 mindset, not a F2P content drip skinnerbox mindset.
You zoomers are so buck broken by the shitty things passing for games these days lol
It wouldn't survive at all without the shilling on Ganker and reddit. GaaS is a mentally ill business model.
How many coop games have an "ending?" The goal is to play with other people and have a fun time, not to mentally check the game off and never revisit it.
Almost all of them.
Nope, wrong, none of them. You just keep replaying them until bored.
I like it, but goddamn does it get repetitive.
poor balancing on behalf of the devs, from the creation of ocs/upgrades to balancing them later
limited gameplay variety, "random generated" caves all feel the same in their zones
devs insist on adding shitty meme beers and cosmetics instead of content
Friendly Reminder if you play Deep Rock galactic for the progression in any way, you are playing for skinner box mechanics.
I gave myself a save with overclocks everything unlocked and play the game with 1.4 enemy mods installed and enjoy in sparingly with the boys.
Frick MMOS and frick skinner box time gates.
the morons gatekeeping elite deep dives with dumbfrick requirements: 6 PLATINUM PROMOTIONS, 500 HOURS+ ONLY
actually homosexual tier, I know theres a lot of morons out there, but keeping me out of "hard" content in a pve game because these people never played another fps in their life really is, reddit tier.
host your own games moron
none of my friends want to play it and would rather play warcraft as filthy leaf lovers.
haz4 shitter here, how much harder is haz5 compared to it?
Considerably. Bugs are faster and up your ass way more, and you'll wish you had way more room to run around.
>silent enemy that spawns in lethal groups anywhere, any time
>we made them le faster
nice, I'm definitely sticking to Haz4
The 20hp per hit was understandable in L4D with the scripted voice cues when they charge at you, this game has nothing like that.
Bugs occasionally stop and yell, and make skitter noises. If you're wearing headphones you'll usually hear them coming.
Yeah sometimes I catch the digging sound, sometimes not.
A scripted audio que based on proximity would help...
>I play alone
But why? Random lobbies are so easy to just hop into, and you'll clean a mine out much faster with 4 people than even with Bosco.
I don't want to get kicked
I've tasted the sweet nectar of real coop.
Randoms don't do it for me anymore, in any game.
Did you have gay sex with hats on or something?
You hear them dig out from under the ground even if its one of those quiet swarms and when you hear an alien screetch thats your cue to look around a bit before your butthole gets ravaged by a glyphid train.
they should really give them louder stippysteps while climbing terrain or something though
There's a specific perk for making the grabbers give you a warning ping. Sucks it isn't something one of the jobs have.
The game needs a scanner supercharge that is class specific.
Wait till you do haz 5 with no shields
>Molly just flat out phases through a fricking wall during the trip back to the drop pod.
It was a thin wall, but still.
She's a shrewd one that Molly
>live service garbage
>can't rock and stone while carrying something because god forbid we're allowed to have fun anymore
>bringing doretta back like a good lad
>"can I get a rock and shtone?"
>*rock and stones*
>*drops doretta*
>kicked
You can't get kicked at that stage of the mission unless the host disconnects altogether.
just ignore the gay who is straight up making up shit to try to support his terrible opinion
