The first chapter came out as a demo 5.5 years ago and the second chapter came out 2.5 years ago.
The game is planned to have at least seven chapters. Toby originally intended to release all the chapters except the first one at once, like a normal game, but development is taking so long he's releasing the game piecemeal. According to the latest status update they are doing translation and bug fixing on chapter 3 and most of the team are working on chapter 4.
a reminder that playtesting is also outsourced to japs at Digital Hearts and also Fangamer. Toby's main dev team is working exclusively on chapter 4 now
