Are there any other desert kino games set in the Middle East or Subsaharan Africa? Origins has been scratching that itch for me for years already.
Far cry 2
No. Devs can't make gameplay around the desert.
Deserts of Kharak.
MGSV
MGSV
uncharted 3
metal gear
>Subsaharan Africa
...has no history
it has just as much history as anywhere else
I played this game expecting basically nothing more than a virtual tourism simulator and I was STILL fricking disappointed.
It's terrible. I haven't played AssCreed since 2, so I did not know what to expect, but I was blown away by how bad these games apparently are.
How can someone put in so much fricking money, so much fricking development time and effort, and produce something so insultingly lazy and underwhelming?
I played it because I like the setting but the story was absolute dogshit, I have no idea why it gets so much praise.
Just play as a desert nomad who kills a bunch of people, the story is so whatever lmao its assassins creed. People couldnt tell you off the top of their heads what happened in for example the Assassins Creed USA
Black Flag and Rogue were the last games in the series worth playing
Unity had a fantastic love story and nothing else. All downhill from there.
Brotherhood is better, but yeah, the game is great.
Don't expect others to agree as you'll make the pirate kiddies mad.
Best asscreed by made ubisoft that makes eziocucks seethe until this day. The ending was dogshit THOUGH.
Honbestly i'm playing it right now and it's pretty fun. The combat is kinda ass but the desert kino is pretty damn enjoyable.
Unity and everything after is shit.
No I don't want my climbing game set in a fricking desert. Frick off
Unity was the last decent one. Parkour was bussin
No
I just started out and am roughly lvl15, any tips
Disable leveling system.
What does that do? Remove the "fun" of collecting OP weapons? Im in towns pretty often and upgrading my weps isnt that much of a chore, although is playing like that more fun in the sense you dont have to worry about your bow not being able to one shot some basic mook?
Do you think AC3 had any redeeming qualities? Maybe just Haytham?
I played AC3 a couple years ago and thought the way they handled Haytham and his friends lazy. Switching protagonists and revealing that these guys are templars isn't a really impactful twist if you completely change their personalities into cartoon villains. They might as well be different characters.
The animations are still the best of the series
Odyssey is better in everything.
Explain more, I was thinking of playing it.
Too bloated
it's litearlly downgraded in most areas you absolute homosexual
I love Odyssey more but Origins is probably more palatable to series fans.
Odyssey has the most functional emergent systems of any AAA game I've seen. Mercenaries, plus radiant quests, plus the faction war, plus your usual bandits and beasts = shit is always happening. You can easily pull a pack of Athenians into a Spartan camp and start a full on battle. You can pull into harbor in some shitty pirate town to find the place is on fire because the locals got into a fight with a pack of wild boars and fricked up. It has Oblivion levels of npc weirdness. Citizen kills don't desynchronize you so sometimes an assassination will make the entire town go out for your blood and you'll have a bunch of angry Greek peasants trying to murder you.
has the most functional emergent systems of any AAA game I've seen.
elaborate on this please
>Assassins Creed
>Kino
Take your meds, AC is dogshit
Assassin's Creed 1 was literally kino in videogame form, the sequels are garbage though
>the mirages when you are traveling through the desert
pure soul
ALWAYS I WANNA BE WITH YOU
HARMONY HARMONY OH SOMETHING
Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla are the ripest games for Cheat Engine to just add all of the ubisoft store items into your inventory for free
You really shouldn't in Odyssey unless you don't plan on keeping any of the unique equips you get from quests (The ones with different names and unique descriptions). You only have 50ish slots open total across both the ship inventory and your own if you save those. If you don't then even then I don't think you have enough inventory space for all of them when DLC + Crossover Event are taken into account? Origins and Valhalla have infinite space so it's not a big deal.
>most nostalgic and easy to get back into
Brotherhood
>comfiest and most fun
Black Flag
>coolest setting
Origins
I don't give a shit about any of the others at this point. They're either bad or boring.
Tbh if AC2 let you replay memories it would be perfect. Alas, a repackaging of the Ezio games into a seamless experience, a single game with all of the content intertwined, is but a pipe dream.
Never liked the AC games, but Origins was the only I could stomach. Story was shit, but that's a given with any AC game out there. The setting and gameplay was great though. No other game captured the feeling of desolation in a desert. Game is 5 years and still holds up graphically. It's dirt cheap now and the afterlife DLC is also well worth a playthrough.
If I have never liked assassins creed but adore even the most generic egyptian aesthetic would I enjoy this ?
its an open world game set in egypt you goober
also its on gamepass
I'm not a goober. 🙁
anyone into the "egyptian aesthetic" or literally any aesthetic portrayed in AC games which they never get credit for, would play the game just to crawl around cool historical places and even cut peoples throats there as sum kinda assassin
the last time I played an AC was 3. This vacation I'll be back to play the most recent ones. Origins has a shitty ending, and Egypt is amazing. Odisey I haven't played it, and valhala is nice... but for now it's meh
origins was the last AC i was able to finish, who the frick thought AC needed daily quests so you can get more resources to upgrade whatever the frick
fricking god awful way to try and make money
just use a trainer/cheatengine
that's how I approach any Ubishit game
grind? nah, frick that shit, get xp right away and unlock everything to make exploration more pleasant
>get xp right away and unlock everything
That removes 95% of the game's content/"challenge" though, like what's the point?
more like 95% of the padding
I'll decide what's fun for me, not you nor the ubisoft monetization team
origins was the perfect length imo, odyssey i got bored halfway through when i realized i had to sail all over the place to kill everyone, i don't think it was needed but leaving all that shit unfulfilled triggers my ocd or something and i dropped the game
same thing with valhalla, though i got a little farther in that one but a quest bugged out so i stopped playing
Odyssey drained me so badly that it permanently put me off open-world games to the extent that years later I still can't get back into them.
What a fricking horrible experience.
Any games with Egyptian setting or just its aesthetic you dudes could recommend me? I'm a sucker for Egypt.
The combat sucks for the most part but i liked cursed weapons. They had a pretty nice challenge. However ennemy archer AI is just straight up busted
are there any new skills or notables added with any of the AC Valhalla DLC or is the main skill tree the final skill tree?
All the skills are tied to patches so anything you see on the tree is what you get by default.
Wrath of the Druids adds three abilities but I personally find them all worthless.
Siege of Paris adds a couple with Plague of Rats by far and large being one of the best abilities in the entire game outside of Incendiary Powder Trap.
Ragnarok also adds a few but Split Shot is like the only thing close to worth it.
there's a "mastery" level now where you can put a point into Wolf, Raven, or Bear mastery and it increases the stats relevant to that tree. I haven't started the expac yet and got one point but presumably playing there gets you more.
That's not new and hasn't been for a long time. That existed before the first DLC even came out. You just had to his max level to start getting points for it. It even took them until Siege of Paris to make it so that if you hit max level and only needed one point left for the tree it would also give you a mastery point (Since you always get two points a level up). I'm at like mastery level 180 or something like that.
> have really good memories about Origins launch experience and dlcs
> tryna replay it now 4 yrs later
> story is garbage, boring exploration..
> dropped it in alexandria
Shit.. wasn’t expecting that. I guess not a single AC game is worth replaying. Though arena arc was kino, but that’s end game. I’d rather replay something japanese
They have poor replayability in general. They're nice 10 dollar games that you play through once and then never again. Besides they're not really well made for replayability anyways
kinda scared to replay odyssey and origins for that reason
first time thru was fun, but the bloat and shitty story and mechanics feel like it wont be worth playing again
then again, as an ancient history buff, i enjoyed them more for the settings than anything else
the other AC games i wasnt into the settings as much, but still enjoyed them
Poor man's Witcher
i have played 0 assassin's creed gaymes
>not a single good assassin creed game
>they keep shitting them out when good series die
it's just not fair
>Best AC.
I enjoyed playing it to the point where immediately after finishing it recently I went and bought Odyssey and Valhalla.
I just like games that take like 100+ hours to fully complete/explore.
