Elaborate, I have a hard time believing you think this is better than every Ocarina of Time dungeon and wish to hear your reasoning as that's a unique opinion.

I’m still writing my congressman to enact the draft for Ukraine. If you can keep off the tiktok you might be able to survive to become a burn victim instead.
Linear in terms of what you can do? Well, yeah, duh. How else do you design a dungeon? The best you can do is compose the dungeon of a bunch of branches that you can tackle in multiple orders, or make a chunk of the dungeon entirely optional. The forest temple opens up in a few big chunks, not necessarily room after room, and you have to suss out which way will actually lead to progress. It even circles on itself a few times. Overall, it's actually a pretty good dungeon, and has some good use of 3D space.
There's no excuse for the block pushing puzzle though. It didn't need arrows. Why did they add arrows when you could only fucking push the blocks one way anyway?
I miss when dungeons were creepy and made you feel uncomfortable

This is really what TotK is missing. They had the chance to do something really cool and creepy too with a linear dungeon in the underground and it's shame they didn't. Imagine coming across a manor or some shit and when you enter it the game just turns off any of the power ups you've got and it just turns into a regular Zelda creepy dungeon. Shit would've been lit. But tbh the games tone just makes it hard for creepy to work.

... No, it's not. And even if it were, that'd be bad design. The entire point of dungeons is to contrast the rest of the game. That's part of why even if you slapped a proper dungeon into the BOTW formula, it wouldn't scratch the same itch; the game so readily hops from exploration to combat to puzzle stuff that an entire area dedicated to just ONE of them would feel out of place.

A place as empty as the sky islands in skyward sword. Repeated textures and trees, that you can't even walk on half of it because of the gloom. A few monster camps. That's literally it. There's practically nothing down there besides repeat bosses and two outfits. It's as big as the overworld with less content than the great ocean.

What about all the treasure maps? Oh damn forgot about them.
Linear in that it funneled you down a single path versus water temple where you were free to get lost in the dungeon.
Like I said it had kino atmosphere, but the actual design left a lot to be desired.
Anonymous
It doesn't funnel you down one path. You can go try (and fail) to catch two out of the four poe sisters right off the bat, every other time you gain access to a new doorway or something the potential paths split. What you're describing with the water temple is just a spoked design.
I've only done wind and water so far but I was stunned by how easy they were. The hike up to both of them took longer than it took to beat the dungeons themselves. Great aesthetics tho
It feels like they took the old temples and split it out into a linear leadup and the less linear 4/5 locks part. Really all that's missing is a miniboss between each section for it to feel like a fully featured classic dungeon
You probably can just kill the boss without riju. the boss will become vulnerable to any sort of elemental damage not just her thunder attack.
Honestly if I didn't do it the intended way and just broke it like I did the Goron dungeon I'd probably hate the Gerudo dungeon too. But I got Earth Temple vibes from Windwaker and really wanted to fuck with the mirrors in it.
I actually used ascend and ultrahand nonsense to sneak into the two areas you were supposed to use the mirrors on the ceiling to access. Then couldn't figure one of them out and ended up accidentally realizing how I was suppose to solve those two.
I love how the game just has zero problems with you just completely breaking the shit out of it.
I'd be more inclined to see it this way if they didn't deliberately hold off on dropping the title card until you get to the dungeon proper—it's like they clearly wanted the journey up to be seen as something separate
Divine Beasts are actually fairly interesting, challenging and unique. I found the Elephant one iirc fairly challenging. But aesthetically, they are a little too samey, so they hardly feel unique or interesting. And I cant remember what any of them are called.
I have only done the Goron Temple thus far in TotK but I found it very cool visually and I enjoyed the carting around mechanics, it wasn't too hard, but it was very fun and it was cool visually. I appreciate that the dungeons now involve using your entire arsenal of tools to solve its puzzles though.
I imagine still most of the games harder puzzles are within the shrines though.
divine beasts fucking sucked when it came to the insides of the dungeon because they all looked the same, also the bosses were much better in totk, but the "puzzles" and such were better than totk dungeons and they took a while longer to complete.
This. Although Vah Medoh is the weakest because all he does is just tilts. The fire divine beast and the lightning one was really hard because the entire room just rotates and requires too much spatial awareness for me
Everybody hates water levels but I hate "air" levels way more, tiny-ass platforms and barely any checkpoints or solid ground to give you a break from platforming, I just want to run around.
Not that anon but I've played and finished Elden Ring hrice, Colgera was a kino bossfight and had great music (he's way too easy once you figure out his weakness though)
No, that boss is fought using the boomerang. However if you put forest water in your bottle(sacred water), you can one shot the boss with it when he opens his weak spot, a neat little 100iq moment for those who thought what if
It's really crazy the concepts and ideas they came up for it based on what little was in the 2d games. They really went all out and they couldn't even fit everything they wanted. I wish that creativity was back
None. It was very unique. But it was its own thing, you know.
Now that we have sissy brain damage link, I see that oot and the rest weren't JUST Zelda. They were Zelda in the style of oot. They weren't Zelda, they were oot. And I see how that means that for a while more the next series of games, unrelated as they may be to botw/totk, will still play the same. They're going to be that with tweaks and different themes and art styles.
I don't know if it's a good change, but it's A change. Like how Charles martinet Mario isn't Mario. He's the second Mario and I'm certain people were upset Mario was woohooing instead of saying "fuck you Luigi", just like people are mad at chris pratt.
Anyway, oot was ahead of it's time and the creativity was off the charts. The freedom of movement, dungeons, concepts of time travel and everything we just consider normal

There's barely any puzzles in any of the TotK dungeons. Mostly just flying and jumping around. All of them were no-brainers for me. Not boring but extremely easy.
The dungeons were the low-points of the game. They were all quick to beat, fell under the 'do 5 things lmao' and had zero exploration.
it didn't even dethrone itself. Divine beasts unironically were more interesting
On the gaming instagram pages, comments about TotK were mostly from women and wagies being filtered by the puzzles in BotW. The Divine Beast maps were too hard, shrines too difficult, saying that they ran around aimlessly before even acquiring the glider.
A lot of people who don't like Zelda but like BotW/TotK is due to the fact that pretty much every puzzle and dungeon format is a watered down version of shit that was in previous games.
I just did Wind temple. Decent tutorial dungeon.
Getting there was kind of shit.
The hardest part was figuring that you have to use Tulin for those turbines.
The boss is good, but it shouldn't be allowed to just break his windows with bow.
Yeah he's good if you never figure out to just shoot him and instead dive into his weakspots. The spectacle and the music are both top tier but once you know you can kill each phase in a single bullet time
>can spend 20 minutes watching the boss flail around wasting time with teleports and tornados that will never hit you >or just bullet time him and be done with it in 30 seconds
it didn't even occur to me that the intended way to break the weakpoints was diving into them, I had fun but would have been a lot more fun if I thought about that
>it didn't even occur to me that the intended way to break the weakpoints was diving into them
You can dive into them? I just shot fire arrows into it.
>The boss is good, but it shouldn't be allowed to just break his windows with bow.
It's another victim of the hyper focus on freedom. Can't just have one way of killing the boss, got to give options, even if some of those options are shit.
I think it might have worked if the targets were smaller or harder to hit from below. At the moment, if you stay above it you have to avoid attacks and try to hit a single exposed target; if you dive below it you just plink away.
People are hung up on 'boss difficulty' after being infected by From Software.
Colgera while doable on the first try, is better than 95% of Elden Ring and even Sekiro's bosses.
When you build bosses around a Light/Heavy Attack moveset, there's no nuance to the designs aside from visually.
my threshold for a difficult boss is if I die during the encounter. If it takes more than 1 attempt it's hard. The fire boss was not hard. Wind one was not hard, but I did die due to flying too low, which I didn't realize killed you. I have died a few times in TOTK though so I wouldn't say it's all easy. Imagine doing a hardcore permadeath mode on TOTK would not be trivial
Its literally easy when compared to other Zelda boss fights. You're the one moving the goalposts to "hard" not me. I'm pretty sure I could hand the controller to a 3 year old who never played videogames, explain to child how to shoot the bow and they'd beat Colgera first try.
Yeah I'm exposing them
It's time we finally call them all out with no holds barred
This is the reality of 2023
This shit didn't exist when Wind Waker was released
Literal gnomish zoomer trannies
I actually really enjoyed the lightning temple. All of them were easy, zelda dungeons have literally never been hard, they've just been longer. Lightning temple just felt fun to run around it, and I'm a sucker for the whole gerudo/desert aesthetic.
Water actually felt weakest to me. Fire temple 2nd weakest but only because I think I managed to sort of skip over some of the puzzles by just climbing/using zonai devices here and there. All 4 of the temples had really cool setups though and getting to them was great. Not to mention the secret 5th temple, I came across the path to that completely by accident while just exploring, having no idea what it was or where I was being led, so that was fucking kino.
>Practically nonlinear, which makes it feel aimless >Puts objective markers all over the map and gives you access to a fully plotted map so you know exactly where to go >The cannons could've been part of the puzzling and the boss spectacle but they're just set pieces that never get a chance to shoot you.
How?
They shit the bed on the temples for the most part. Wind and Water were laughably easy and short, even moreso than any of the Divine Beasts. Fire and Thunder were pretty good.
Nazi fucking cuck
We've run the West for 100 years now
Who let this shit in?
Fucking piece of shit goyim don't know their place
You're inferior to black men
Gonna say it, BotW's boss fights were way better. Sure thematically they sucked but they were at least actual fights.
All the TotK bosses are gimmicky use ally ability->hit helpless boss->repeat. Colgera is the only one that doesn't need the ally ability but is even worse because you just bullet time him to death in 10 seconds.
The experience and mechanics is better than just a Bloodborne boss.
People have Souls brainrot now where if they don't die on the boss or if it doesn't have crazy sword animations, it's no good.
divine beasts fucking sucked when it came to the insides of the dungeon because they all looked the same, also the bosses were much better in totk, but the "puzzles" and such were better than totk dungeons and they took a while longer to complete.
The bosses and boss dungeons were not the high point of these games.
It's sad they had such little thought BUT I realized as I played that the reason they were so short is because the whole plotline was the "dungeon", not just the actual dungeon itself. For the rito for example, finding boytoy, hopping from island to island, all of that was part of the dungeon. It's more open like that. Challenges outside of the traditional dungeon.
It would suck big ass that in addition to freeing gerudo town and aligning the lights, you also had to do a really long dungeon. It sucks it's such a small dungeon though. I appreciate the concept but maybe those should be side missions, not the open dungeon concept. And the shrines are lame as they are. If they were themed caves in the natural world it would be MUCH better
Yeah. Climbing death mountain is as much part of the dungeon as it is actually going in the depths. You fight a mini boss and everything.
You know what, the REAL problem is the repetitive quests. They were ALL about activating switches. Now, that's a nice way to incorporate the sage power, but that's a lame way to design every fucking boss dungeon. If there was variety in the method of reaching the boss there would be much less complaints
>It would suck big ass that in addition to freeing gerudo town and aligning the lights, you also had to do a really long dungeon.
How is more content bad?
I haven't done this one.
I have done Lightning and Fire >Lightning
Shit, it was 2 light puzzles and a ultrahand balloon puzzle >Fire
Aesthetically cool and the minecarts made it less straightforward to mentally map the dungeon, but it was still super short
Did the people at Nintendo forget how to make cool dungeons? The dungeons in BOTW and TOTK are almost making me get rose tinted glasses for SS
I sometimes wonder what their intent was with Ascend.
You already have climbing and the glider and rewind. Ascend almost feels antithetical to the movement from Breath of the Wild, even if there are cool little set pieces and a lot of 'bounds checking' with Ascend.
It's used really well in caves and the depths, but you can tell in dungeons that they really put a lot of effort in to make sure you can't jump up, but you still can.
It's cool because the Labyrinth layout made no sense, there was no indication as to why would they just make it like that and add random spaces under the walls.
I don't like the addition of the sages to your "party" after you beat each temple. Zelda feels way too jrpg/anime-ish with those characters around you all the time, even if you can turn them off.
>Zelda feels way too jrpg/anime-ish
ZELDA IS A FUCKING ANIME SERIES.
Link was a standard slightly doofy protagonist until they expressly made him a bishonen protagonist. No, not just handsome, specifically based on BISHONEN ANIME CHARACTERS.

Holy fucking shit KYS, Colgera is the most braindead retarded boss I've done in forever
its actually so fucking awful you can sleepwalk through the fight and win. It's just trash thru and thru
>Phase 1 Ganondorf is actually sick >Phase 2 is... phase 1 with more health and slightly harder mechanics >Phase 3 is literally impossible to lose
To be fair it's still somehow better than every other dogshit ganondorf fight but this game's bosses really dropped the ball except gibdo.
Yeah the AI is retarded at times and you can cheese pretty much any boss in the game if you try hard enough. I just played it normally as a sword fight and I thought it started out pretty good, and was underwhelmed by the end of it. Still better than Ocarina, WW and TP ganondorf though
THE bro DOESN'T EVEN ATTACK YOU
I ran out of arrows fighting it in the depths and the fucking thing just flew around there doing absolutely nothing. And then I won because you can just bunga smash into his weak point too.
How the fuck don't you beat it on your first try? He doesn't even fucking do anything lmao
No, it's fucking bad because it's retardedly easy.
The boss design is so fucking shit, and that's combined with the wind temple.
It's supposed to be one of the 4 temples big bad ooga boogas, but it's so poorly fucking designed
Lets see, 12 Arrows to kill it, but when you pull your bow out midair you literally get bullet time freeze frames, and fucking get this, after you pop one of those crystals it goes through a teleport into an animation where it flys straight up in a line, in mid air, after teleporting underneath you, so you can just shoot out the other 2 crystals, without having to do a single fucking thought because the game puts you in automatic bullet time.
Not that that specifically matters, because if you're out of arrows the fight is literally just as brain dead due to the fact the Dragons give you infinite fucking updraft to keep your stamina bar perma full, and the fucking things crystals insta die when you just fly above them and ground pound below, with slow ass homingspikes coming out.
There is nothing about this fight that's remotely fucking good. It's actually laughably bad in comparison to similar fights like it throughout the Zelda series.
THE bro DOESN'T EVEN ATTACK YOU

im not comparing it to dark souls 3 you fucking ubermensch retard. im comparing it to other Zelda boss fights.
Giving infinite updraft in a boss fight where the fight is blatantly revolving around arrow combat is bad game design. Doubly so when you get literal fucking bullet time god mode pulling back the drawstring in mid air, and then tripling down on it by making the boss literally teleport under you flying up in a straight line exposing literally all 3 of its weak spots in linear fashion in a straight line where you can just fucking bullet time all of them in a single cycle.
it's poor fucking design.
ALL the Zelda boss fights are like that except the ones from the NES, SNES and gameboy games.
Everything after Ocarina has that puzzle and weakpoint element. What are you comparing it to, Phantom Ganon from Ocarina?
Anonymous
No, not every boss fight in Zelda is like that. But the thing about Colgera that really grinds my gears is the fact that had the gal to give infinite updraft in a boss fight revolving around arrow combat. At least in BoTW the wind temple boss fight had specific updraft spouts you had to go to if you wanted to abuse bullet time. it's literally impossible in the Colgera fight to not use bullet time.
so the boss itself is literally just a 2 cycle boss. It's literally a movie game. It's basically QTE cutscene fighting. Any of the overworld mini bosses take more time to fight, and have less retarded move sets.
At least make the fight epic. The Colgera fight isn't epic. it's just sad.

Might have to get in melee range. I was exploring the depths making beelines for light roots earlier and I was in the top right corner of the map, so I found 2 colgeras just chilling underneath the province back to back without arrows. So I had to do the boss fight melee. Which while still piss easy because doing an aerial down slash instantly kills the weak spots. Don't even need 2 hits.
The bosses in Elden Ring are boring but hard, the bosses in TotK are interesting but easy. If I had to choose I'd go with Zelda but I want to see a game that has it all.
I liked the lost city of Gorondia and the storm wind ark. The lore around the places was really cool. I think the weakest one was Zora domains since there wasn’t any lore behind it, it’s just a giant tap that none of the Zora seems to care about.
I've done Water and Fire so far. Fire was definitely better than Water. It reminded me a lot more of a classic dungeon. However I wish it had a little less minecart and a little more something else. They're definitely on the right track with dungeons though. Divine Beasts were interesting as a concept, and fascinating from the outside, but TOTK dungeons as actual dungeons is definitely better.
I just finished this part, it was definitely the most interesting new part of the game so far. If they had put resources into making 10 or so dungeons, double or triple the size of this, instead of the half baked lego mechanics, it would have been a solid game.
games used to have 8 or more dungeons that took 30 minutes to an hour. now it's 4 dungeons, 10-15 minutes a piece. why would making them normal length be bad? also the temples of the game are optional anyway. if you don't want to do 8 full length temples you'll probably be sufficiently strong enough to fight ganondorf long before you'd finish them all.
Where the fuck do I spend those shrine orbs? No, I have not done the main quest and I refuse to do so. I have eighteen of these things as well as 29 korok seeds.
>"""""temple""""" >one (1) puzzle in the entirety of it which is "turn on the fans" >like 3 enemies total >no keys >boss is so ridiculously easy and nonthreatening each phase can be beaten in a single timespan of slowmotion bow shots >damage doesnt even matter, just hit each of the 3 weak spot 3 times and you win(18 shots total for both phases)
TotK Wind Temple takes the crown of the worst zelda dungeon of all time and it isnt even close.
if you have enough bow damage its 2 shots per weak point, 12 arrows total. Colgera in depths same issue, can clear it in like 10-15 seconds realtime and thats just because it has an unskippable cutscene
Jesus fucking christ. How long until some speedrun autist discovers you can actually beat each weak point in 1 hit?
if you have enough bow damage its 2 shots per weak point, 12 arrows total. Colgera in depths same issue, can clear it in like 10-15 seconds realtime and thats just because it has an unskippable cutscene
Zora waterworks was more of a dungeon than water temple
wind quadrant was by far the worst in the game
>talk to npc in rito village >kill a single 1 hp enemy lmao >bing bing wahoo platform to the sky >very short dungeon >retarded bossfight like TP gyorg in the sky, it looks dumb and doesnt even attack you, dont think it can even damage you at all in phase 1
the other three questlines were vastly better. Gerudo obviously the best
>hitbox on collision damages you >falling debris floods stage vertically and requires you to dodge it, damage on collision >spawned fish swim horizontally and require you to dodge them, damage on collision >angler fish will stop and charge into the wall with a very short windup, damage on collision
one of the worst bosses in the series, but it still tried to attack you and even if you could just put yourself in front of its weak point and attack repeatedly, at least it CAN deal damage
Tears of the kingdom Colgera:
>no damage on collision, just bounces you >flies around harmlessly in circles waiting to die >singular attack pattern in phase 1 is to reappear far below you and fly up into you >cannot possibly hit you unless you go completely afk because it takes like 15 seconds for a single attack with no tracking >in phase 2 all it does is summon a few tornados you can effortlessly avoid and probably won't even hit you if you go afk
Is there even a comparison for a bossfight in a zelda game this bad?
I just realized that Colgera is such a joke of a boss that its literally just the target shooting minigame from the Rito Village in BotW that was the worst questline in that game.
If you pick the game apart by it's individual components it will seem average, but combine all the elements together and it's a solid title that's really fun to play. There are valid criticisms but if you get hung up on them and not the overall experience you are just denying yourself a good time out of spite, which actually sounds a lot like Ganker carry on.
Are we pretending King Dodongo was a good boss now?
Colgera was piss easy but let's not pretend this isn't the standard for Zelda bosses.
The only somewhat challenging boss was Queen Gibdo, but even that may be because I did desert first.
Why isn't this dungeon cold? I'm there now and only have one layer of cold resistance and I'm fine. Is that the coldest this game gets? Why did they make everything warmer compared to BotW if it's a blizzard? Why does the UI have space for 2 layers of cold resistance?
Is the coldest area in the Depths or something? Or is it just a holdover from BotW?
My thermometer isn't even at the minimum value. Where's the cold?
That is very weird. Maybe there's some oddness with trigger zones for extreme cold? I know my entire trip up it was cold enough to require 2x cold resist.
Weather was massively nerfed in TotK because too many casuals complained
The entirety of death mountain is basically cold now, you only need fire armor for a handful of caves and the fire temple.
>colgera has six fucking theme variations, seemingly one for each weakpoint destroyed >every other boss has two >quickest boss to kill
what was nintendo thinking?
It’s a bit more epic if you do the intended strat of diving through the rings. Honestly if they just closed up the bottom part of the rings until he did the spike launching attack but downwards it would be more fun, but I think if they did that people would not do the intended strat of the diving
How many of you were let down by the shitty Spirit temple? >oh boy, a 5th temple, it must be amazing right? >4 rooms of carrying a box over a gap >the end >boss fight is ARMS
so disappointing.
>Gerudo "lava" Temple >rollercoaster shrine, ride cart to switch, use switch >Water Temple >swim up to sky island, 5 switches in a small space >Lightning Temple >shine light with mirrors a few times >Wind Temple >the hard part is using platforms to jump up to the ship, the ship itself is small >Spirit Temple >carry a box 4 times from 4 rooms
I wanted "temples" on par with Hyrule Castle from BOTW, at least it was the closest thing to a "dungeon". But nope.
have you wondered why people have been calling it zelda tiktok?
it was leaked a while ago that nintendo was thinking about making games that go viral through memes.
the game was specifically designed to maximize short funny moments to post in short clips. its why there's no real substance to everything, its just stop and done attractions that you're supposed to post on your favorite social media site.
and never expect it to get better either, this "stop and done now post on social media :)" format is likely going to be the new norm for nintendo.
they've somehow managed to create something worse than fucking gacha.
>Wind Temple
Probably the worst and lamest dungeon in ToTK.
The only ToTK dungeon that comes even close to classic Zelda quality is the Lightning Temple. It's basically a shorter version of the Spirit Temple, but at least it's cool and interesting, with actual puzzles (which the Wind Temple didn't have).
To clarify, when I say the Lightning Temple is a shorter version of the Spirit Temple, I mean OoT's Spirit Temple, just to clarify for you zoomies who didn't play OoT and think I'm talking about the ToTK Spirit Temple.
Elaborate, I have a hard time believing you think this is better than every Ocarina of Time dungeon and wish to hear your reasoning as that's a unique opinion.
It's not, at all. But at least they got thememing back and it's really nice in that regard.
>Ocarina of Time
EVERYTHING is better than Ocarina of Trash
Imagine if you spent half as much time making something of your pathetic, degenerate life as you spend whining about OoT
>Zoomer seething he was born too late for any innovation at all.
I’m still writing my congressman to enact the draft for Ukraine. If you can keep off the tiktok you might be able to survive to become a burn victim instead.
Most OoT dungeons are pretty mediocre. Only water and spirit temples were any good.
Nah. Forest temple shits on OP and mogs it in its entirety.
Forest temple had kino theming, but the actual dungeon was extremely linear from what I recall.
>What is The Depths
The second worldmap, not a dungeon.
The whole GAME is one big fucking dungeon.
The whole game is a dungeon. How many shrines are there? How many Ultrahand puzzles?
The opening sky isle is a dungeon.
If the game only has one "mode", then it can't be dungeon. The dungeon "mode" is defined by being a contrast to the default one.
The what, 120 shrines? All with the same design, boring uninteresting music. I could put up with the shrines in BotW. But to repeat them, all fucking over again? Ugh.
>Ugh
Back to gayboy.com
A place as empty as the sky islands in skyward sword. Repeated textures and trees, that you can't even walk on half of it because of the gloom. A few monster camps. That's literally it. There's practically nothing down there besides repeat bosses and two outfits. It's as big as the overworld with less content than the great ocean.
What about all the treasure maps? Oh damn forgot about them.
Yeah. I did.
Linear in that it funneled you down a single path versus water temple where you were free to get lost in the dungeon.
Like I said it had kino atmosphere, but the actual design left a lot to be desired.
It doesn't funnel you down one path. You can go try (and fail) to catch two out of the four poe sisters right off the bat, every other time you gain access to a new doorway or something the potential paths split. What you're describing with the water temple is just a spoked design.
dodongo's cavern, jabu jabu (fuck you, it's great), forest, spirit and shadow are all fantastic.
Just got done with water temple. Bit on the short side, but nice enough. The boss was absolutely fucking ass cancer though what the fuck.
shoulda made an opal weapon
??? Jump in the air and glide, bullettime shoot some splashfruit arrows on the boss. Run up and hit the octorok. Rinse and repeat.
Water is the only one to have only 4 locks instead of 5.
Gerudo also has only 4 things to hit.
I did ascend into the boss arena by accident, but I didn't stay to see if it broke anything.
I also forgot about the 5th temple, So 2 to 3, I'm completely incorrect.
It's mandatory so I count that as part of the dungeon
I'd be more inclined to see it this way if they didn't deliberately hold off on dropping the title card until you get to the dungeon proper—it's like they clearly wanted the journey up to be seen as something separate
it didn't even dethrone itself. Divine beasts unironically were more interesting
Divine beasts have the better temple mechanics, but their bosses and visual design are too lackluster.
agreed on that, much more unique and memorable. these are just like sad crosses between shrines and regular zelda dungeons.
I imagine still most of the games harder puzzles are within the shrines though.
>divine beasts were unique
>except for all the ways in which they weren't unique
huh?
divine beasts fucking sucked when it came to the insides of the dungeon because they all looked the same, also the bosses were much better in totk, but the "puzzles" and such were better than totk dungeons and they took a while longer to complete.
Zelda Xycle
Didn't play the game, did you?
ur mum dethroned my meat stick last night
The dungeons were the low-points of the game. They were all quick to beat, fell under the 'do 5 things lmao' and had zero exploration.
absolute kino bossfight and music
play more games
can you suggest some good ones then?
Hell yeah bro.
Bioshock Infinite.
Last of Us.
God of War Ragnarok.
Final Fantasy XV.
So many good games!
You’re kidding right?
elden ring
Not that anon but I've played and finished Elden Ring hrice, Colgera was a kino bossfight and had great music (he's way too easy once you figure out his weakness though)
figuring out his weakness takes about 2 brain cells. The boss is a complete pushover and the music is forgettable. sorry.
Why are you linking a tutorial lmao
thats how pretty much everyone beat it. slow mo shoot the giant weakspot rinse and repeat. no challenge at all
the whole Rito is quite literally an homage to WW, even the theme of Rito Village is a mix of Dragonroost Island and Revali's theme
Wind Waker
Isn’t there a boss in windwaker where you just pour some water onto the boss and the boss instantly dies.
No, that boss is fought using the boomerang. However if you put forest water in your bottle(sacred water), you can one shot the boss with it when he opens his weak spot, a neat little 100iq moment for those who thought what if
Ocarina of Time Water Temple mogs everything in TotK
Ocarina mogs a lot of shit.
It's really crazy the concepts and ideas they came up for it based on what little was in the 2d games. They really went all out and they couldn't even fit everything they wanted. I wish that creativity was back
It's kind of insane what Ocarina was doing in 1998.
How many other games at that time used 3D space in that way?
Who cares?
Remember Biggie Smalls and Ice Cub
Fucking goyim.
The freedom of movement, dungeons, concepts of time travel and everything we just consider normal
>omg OoT was soooooooooo ahead of its time
Shut the fuck up.
Bro posting the Discord shill webms.
Is this supposed to make the game look bad? All I see is a retarded player
Actually in this webm, the player gets lucky about 3 times with not getting hit.
I remember doing exactly this as a kid and getting punished.
Now show us what combat was like in 3D adventure games before OoT.
>pressing nothing but forward and B
>and also lock on, and side directions for those times I sidestep
Point to me a single time I mentioned the combat. I specifically brought up the concepts and ideas.
You dumb morons think games are only their combat and everything else is just a given. Thought went into everything else too bitch
you rang?
and then the modern zelda webm...
>pull off the part of the boss that he hits you with
>his hits no longer deal damage
how in the world is this a bad thing?
because of how fast you can do it
completely trivializes the fight considering you can one phase it.
>watching something spoiled in a webm means the core design of it is bad
$100 you wouldn't have even thought of that.
thats the thing anon, i DID think of that myself.
i started doing it before the game even released, cry about it.
>before the game even released
Way to out yourself.
>smart enough to pirate the same game but again
>smart enough to figure out the trick to trivalizing flux constructs on my own too
cry about it, reddit spacing tendie.
>reddit spacing tendie
Just keep adding to it.
just kill them with the hookshot
There's barely any puzzles in any of the TotK dungeons. Mostly just flying and jumping around. All of them were no-brainers for me. Not boring but extremely easy.
On the gaming instagram pages, comments about TotK were mostly from women and wagies being filtered by the puzzles in BotW. The Divine Beast maps were too hard, shrines too difficult, saying that they ran around aimlessly before even acquiring the glider.
A lot of people who don't like Zelda but like BotW/TotK is due to the fact that pretty much every puzzle and dungeon format is a watered down version of shit that was in previous games.
>water temple is just 5 floating platforms
I just did Wind temple. Decent tutorial dungeon.
Getting there was kind of shit.
The hardest part was figuring that you have to use Tulin for those turbines.
The boss is good, but it shouldn't be allowed to just break his windows with bow.
it what universe was that boss "good"? The boss barely attacks you and its weak spots are laughable huge and made a complete joke with slow mo
Yeah he's good if you never figure out to just shoot him and instead dive into his weakspots. The spectacle and the music are both top tier but once you know you can kill each phase in a single bullet time
>he abused slow mo bow mechanics instead of experiencing the kino diving through the weakpoints with tulin
>can spend 20 minutes watching the boss flail around wasting time with teleports and tornados that will never hit you
>or just bullet time him and be done with it in 30 seconds
>weak spots are laughable huge and made a complete joke with slow mo
that's what I said, bow turns the whole game into ec mode
it's all about vibes, nobody is playing this to be challenged in le epic reddit constant dodgeroll combat. the music fucking rocks
>The hardest part was figuring that you have to use Tulin for those turbines
YIKES
it didn't even occur to me that the intended way to break the weakpoints was diving into them, I had fun but would have been a lot more fun if I thought about that
>it didn't even occur to me that the intended way to break the weakpoints was diving into them
You can dive into them? I just shot fire arrows into it.
>The boss is good, but it shouldn't be allowed to just break his windows with bow.
It's another victim of the hyper focus on freedom. Can't just have one way of killing the boss, got to give options, even if some of those options are shit.
I think it might have worked if the targets were smaller or harder to hit from below. At the moment, if you stay above it you have to avoid attacks and try to hit a single exposed target; if you dive below it you just plink away.
>press switch
>repeat three more times
yeah those "dungeons" were shit, climbing the islands to reach the ship/water temple was much more entertaining
ENTER
>saving the thumbnail of the room rendered with emulator issues
You ring up moot then and talk to him about webp then we'll talk.
Nah, it was a neat temple that had an awesome climax but its not better than OOT.
Imagine doing a hardcore permadeath mode on TOTK would not be trivial
man you tendies just can't stop thinking about elden ring the entire time you play zelda can you.
Not just Zelda, now it's everywhere.
If something isn't 'Haeurd' for us gaymers then it's LE BAD
Its literally easy when compared to other Zelda boss fights. You're the one moving the goalposts to "hard" not me. I'm pretty sure I could hand the controller to a 3 year old who never played videogames, explain to child how to shoot the bow and they'd beat Colgera first try.
How does anyone write like this and not be embarrassed?
Blond boys are short and inferior to black
Men
Fucking Japanese Nazis!
Oy vey!
It was okay. Decent dungeon, decent boss. Better than the Lightning Temple at least. Haven't done the others yet
Lightning temple is the best one?
man you just know they specifically labeled these "____ Temple" to shut up the tards complaining about BotW not having "traditional dungeons"
The hike up to it took me like 3x as long as doing the dungeon itself. The dungeon was piss easy.
You're a Nazi for playing this and not sucking off black men
these are some weird botposts
You're insane if you don't believe literal gnomish trannies are out to get this game
>redditjak
have a nice day
The term is Discordbros
Goyim just stop having fun
Commit suicide..
Stop existing...
oy.....
Really hard to fucking believe you goyim exist in 2023
It's time to ressurect our god and rebuild our temple!
Oy gevalt!
Hard to believe they are still doing these basic bitch dungeons.
They're just stupid fucking goyim what did you expect?
Listen to the new Drake.
>a bunch of floating blocks
>leading up to
>a bunch of empty corridors
at least the boss was cool
>Practically nonlinear, which makes it feel aimless
>Puts objective markers all over the map and gives you access to a fully plotted map so you know exactly where to go
>The cannons could've been part of the puzzling and the boss spectacle but they're just set pieces that never get a chance to shoot you.
How?
>try to glide into the canon hole at one point
Did the same. I was disappointed.
You Nazis lost WWII why the fuck do you think you can do this?
Link's a gay cuck
I read this as "deepthroats"
I really need to stop watching porn
They shit the bed on the temples for the most part. Wind and Water were laughably easy and short, even moreso than any of the Divine Beasts. Fire and Thunder were pretty good.
Nazi fucking cuck
We've run the West for 100 years now
Who let this shit in?
Fucking piece of shit goyim don't know their place
You're inferior to black men
You're not Michael Jordan goyim
Don't bother participating in society
Can't believe these Nazi Japanese aren't fucking dead
We already got the Germans
Fire Temple is underrated in TotK too. The ball physics in it was novel and making ramps was great.
it has some of the best music as well https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Zn-7GAzz04
I only noticed in this dungeon that the music changes the more keys you unlock.
dungeon was boring, but the boss fight was atmospherically pure kino despite being easy as fuck
It's a testament to the game itself when you second guess if a lot of the physics/ultrahand puzzle solutions will even work and they do in the end.
The new mechanics outright destroy any attempted temple design
this thing was only cool in it's presentation and build up to it. The dungeon itself was piss shit easy and mindless
You're telling me the gears, the makeshift fan, Mission Impossible silo and makeshift lever are all terrible
Goyim..
There's nothing
Compatible
With us
The camel from BotW is massively more complex than any of the dungeons in TotK.
Twinrova was a good boss design. Aiming the for the giant eye on the Goron boss is not.
If the boss isn't challenging in some way then it isn't interesting.
Dullard take. Go play Demon's Souls or MGS3 to their end.
This. The climb to the Wind Temple is just as much a part of the dungeon itself.
Then again, I climbed directly up death mountain and skipped the intended climb.
I realized what they wanted and decided not to be a shithead so I just got on the cart. Built a little box around it though so enemies wouldn't aggro
>It would suck big ass that in addition to freeing gerudo town and aligning the lights, you also had to do a really long dungeon.
How is more content bad?
Too long a segment. If it was separate to a long dungeon would be fine
It sure is a shame this isn't an open world game where you can literally come and go and do any content whenever you want
What the fuck is wrong with your brain?
It's too long IN THE HYPOTHETICAL SITUATION WHERE IT IS FOLLOWED UP BY A TRADITIONAL LONG DUNGEON.
moron
>How is more content bad?
There's probably too much content in Tears.
Copy pasting the same set of islands over and over isn't content
Better than Elden Ring
Cope more Eric
Who the fuck is Eric now?
I'm tired of these fucking celebrity autists on this site.
I haven't done this one.
I have done Lightning and Fire
>Lightning
Shit, it was 2 light puzzles and a ultrahand balloon puzzle
>Fire
Aesthetically cool and the minecarts made it less straightforward to mentally map the dungeon, but it was still super short
Did the people at Nintendo forget how to make cool dungeons? The dungeons in BOTW and TOTK are almost making me get rose tinted glasses for SS
I didn't even bother with the minecarts half the time and just used Ascend and gliding to skip chunks of the fire temple. It was pretty amusing.
I sometimes wonder what their intent was with Ascend.
You already have climbing and the glider and rewind. Ascend almost feels antithetical to the movement from Breath of the Wild, even if there are cool little set pieces and a lot of 'bounds checking' with Ascend.
Did you not once enter a cave
It's used really well in caves and the depths, but you can tell in dungeons that they really put a lot of effort in to make sure you can't jump up, but you still can.
It's just fun. And I guess it gives them an out to creating a place you can reasonably leave. Now they just put a big pile you can ascend through.
The goron dungeon ate my ass so all I did was make lava platforms and ascend through the bottom to get to the gongs
I liked it specifically for that. Link always travels alone so this was fun, except for the robot
I like it but the bird continues dropping me out of platforms
>Zelda feels way too jrpg/anime-ish
ZELDA IS A FUCKING ANIME SERIES.
Link was a standard slightly doofy protagonist until they expressly made him a bishonen protagonist. No, not just handsome, specifically based on BISHONEN ANIME CHARACTERS.
ALL of the fucking 2D art for ALL the games up until maybe Skyward Sword- and hell, that's debatable, it's just very painterly- is ANIME.
This insanity over Nintendo and "muh anime" is MENTAL FUCKING ILLNESS.
Relax bro that Anon just saying he/she likes the isolation from Zelda.
Needs more BLEACHEDRAW
Rijudicky was fucking hot as fuck
How many of our ancestors(White Colonizers) actually did the same thing by nutting in 12 year old brown dicky?
Without feminism this would be legal
>Colgera while doable on the first try, is better than 95% of Elden Ring and even Sekiro's bosses.
Holy fucking shit KYS, Colgera is the most braindead retarded boss I've done in forever
its actually so fucking awful you can sleepwalk through the fight and win. It's just trash thru and thru
>Phase 1 Ganondorf is actually sick
>Phase 2 is... phase 1 with more health and slightly harder mechanics
>Phase 3 is literally impossible to lose
To be fair it's still somehow better than every other dogshit ganondorf fight but this game's bosses really dropped the ball except gibdo.
>Gibdo
>not dropping the ball
Having to deal with a ganksquad is NOT a good boss design, how many times do we need to repeat this shit?
>Ganon
>sick
>2 shit fights and a gilde+pimple pop boss
Just admit the combat is abolute arse in this game
Yeah the AI is retarded at times and you can cheese pretty much any boss in the game if you try hard enough. I just played it normally as a sword fight and I thought it started out pretty good, and was underwhelmed by the end of it. Still better than Ocarina, WW and TP ganondorf though
what were they thinking with the presentation of this fight gloomy ass room can't even fucking see ganon
Dude just use the glowie flowers
>It's bad because I beat it in one try
Dark Souls 3 ruined this bros brain.
It's cool set piece to use the dive to beat a boss. It's great and feels epic as shit dodging rocks mid air.
Back to Dark Souls 3 with you both where you can redo the boss 17 times because it caught you off guard with an animation.
>there is nothing in between dark souls and a boss that actually attempts to attack you
>Bro he held the attack animation for a second longer and killed me on the roll this boss is sooo good and hard
maybe if zelda went towards making bosses harder to hit rather than making common enemies one-shot you after you completed one dungeon but still making it near impossible to get hit in the first place, both parties could be satisfied
I am going to Colgera and I'm going to post a 2 minute long webm of him flying around not attacking me at all.
>What are the rocks
>What are the tornadoes it spawns
>What is it lunging at you with its mouth open
Does running back to a boss gate and dodging all the enemies invalidate the level design? Exactly.
im not comparing it to dark souls 3 you fucking ubermensch retard. im comparing it to other Zelda boss fights.
This shit is playing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7OPgmFnh0w and you're diving through a bosses weakpoints it's the best.
You can't say it's not good. Wrong.
I can say it's not good when a fucking frox is a bigger threat to me than a flying dragon yes.
Doesn't matter what you say there's a Princess Mononoke flute playing while you dodge sky rocks and a shota bird gives you encouragement 10km up in the air on a Wind Waker boat while a giant ice bug comes at you.
>What makes it good
>"OH THE CINEMATIC AND UH UH DAH WRITING AND IT LOOK COOL"
videogames?
This. It sounds like modern Zelda fans have evolved into movie-lovers.. Next I expect them to praise the story and want more cutscenes and voice acting and dialogue. This is the same fandom that praises Xenoblade, which is basically Uncharted with waifus.
>Look at all these cool gameplay things to do with the boss like diving and slowmo and gliding and-
>OH THIS CINEMATIC STUFF? THIS MOVIE GAME SHIT?
>slowmo
>not movie game shit
I bet you think quick time events are good too.
It's the (intended) first boss of the game. Also shooting arrows without slow motion would be far too difficult
>playing the game without cinematic crutches would be too hard
>I need the game to remove any difficulty
>no slowmo airtime
>but airtime arrows now deal x2 damage, before crits
alright then gay, harder to pull off but more rewarding now. being able to put a glider on a shield and get airtime with it removes all difficulty from the game.
It's just cool to aim in slow motion.
>you dont get it bro i HAVE to turn a franchise into cinematic slop or i cant have fun!
Nothing about it is cinematic are you stupid?
>cripple potential mechanical complexity and skill ceiling in favor of flashy and "waowee so coolerinooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" effects
its cinematic.
Those ARE the mechanics built up from the dungeon and ascent traversal AND it's worked into a combat situation.
That's as good as it gets.
I have a feeling you look at flurry rushing and don't see an issue either.
>game slows down because you hit a huge timing window when dodging an enemy
>now get free damage, and the enemy can't do a single thing about it for 100 years until the flurry rush wears off
It's conceptually no different from parries in the majority of action/adventure games.
the game has parries though, which are harder to land and not nearly as rewarding
parries require perfect timing and dont slow the game down, also requires you to actually take advantage of the window to pull out your highest damage combo
flurry rushes on the other hand
>dodge enemy attack 100 years before it would land and 50 feet away
>game slows to a crawl
>mash A, thats all you can do.
>a lot of free dam- YOUR BOKBOLIN ASS SCRATCHER IS BROKEN!
So instead of having the game be more challenging, you just want an epic cinematic movie piece.
this bro doesn't even do anything
>look for ways to break game ai
>it breaks
WOOOOOOOOOOOW
nobody cares you cheese snoygay. the boss is kino and not meant to be hard. if you look for ways to expose the video game as being a video game you'll see the cracks but 99% of players aren't autists with a chip on their shoulder trying to find shit like this. kys NOW
>calls others snoys
>wants games to be walking simulators
>bug happens to someone thats very clearly far into the game
>"shit game lol"
>"REEEE REEEEEEEEEE REEEEEEEEEEEEEE SNOY SNOY SNOY SNOY MOMMY TENDIE JANNY HELP WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!1!!!!!!!!!!!!1!1111!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
why are you like this?
>thats very clearly far into the game
you raise a good point. max stamina and max hearts. dude pretty much 100%'d the game but still has the nerve to complain about the game breaking when he TRIES to break it.
yeah i bet nintendo was thinking about that what-if scenario of a player just hovering there doing nothing during an intense boss fight. because they need to invest resources accounting for autists doing this for no other reason than to make Ganker webms "exposing" the game he supposedly hates despite being that far into it
K
Y
S
>HE PLAYED THE GAME THAT MEANS HE'S A SNOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
>HE SHOULDNT CALL OUT ITS FLAWS IT MEANS HE'S A SNOY A SNOY A SNOY SNOY SNOY SNOY WAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
again, WHY are you like this?
that's not a bug and not trying to break the game
that's a boss literally not having any attacks and just flying around in a circle non-threatening to link
in fact it doesn't even hurt you if you fly into it, all it does is knockback you with 0 damage lmao
they did not put an attack on colgera phase 1 at all. Phase 2 all it has is some tornados copy/pasted from queen gibdo fight. Its like the worst boss fights from zelda history where the fish in that LA temple just literally sits there afk and waits for you to kill it
If someone is going to break the AI in this game and exploit its weaknesses, it looks a lot more broken than THAT
>Max hp
>Max stam
>Max battery
Pretending the game actually plays like this is stupid. To get your character to this state requires grinding for days. This is why the game is dogshit not because it is 'low iq easy baby shit'. The game is frustrating in many ways and purposefully unfun in so many others.
That is probably why tendies seethe over elden ring because From purposefully tries to piss of their. Whereas they pretend Zelda isn't just being annoying as fuck half the time.
>seething about shit that is irrelevant to the poster or the clip
retarded gay
Sounds like you got filtered by your severe lack of gamesense.
I watched RTGame’s TOTK stream and Colgera definitely has an attack where it shoots spikes upwards like a bullet hell and he had to dodge the spikes while getting close enough to hit the weak spot.
You're talking to people who haven't played the game. They're console war shitposters.
Or, the more likely and less seething answer, is that the boss is so ridiculously easy and beatable in seconds(by design, no exploits) that people didn't see its "attack"
Yeah, I'm sure that's it.
I never saw that. I got hit once in that fight by falling onto the back spikes. That was it. This was less challenging than Jabu Jabus boss.
>try sniping a frox from the air
>it jumps 200 feet vertically and swallows you midair
>main dungeon bossfight
>doesn't even attack
>main dungeon bossfight
>It's attacks are
>Ejecting projectile spikes out at the speed of a snail that exposes its weak spot
And
>Teleporting underneath you where you have ample time to move 5 feet away, exposing all its weak spots in a literal fucking line where you go into bullet time and can snipe them all in one cycle
Kek it's attacks literally just help link kill it faster.
I haven't even seen the projectile spikes and I've gone afk just to see its attacks
Don't even need 2 hits.
don't forget about tagging with best boi Talin
Yeah it's neat you can use the dive but you can also just use arrows and kill it instantly. Cool looking boss but otherwise awful.
The bosses in Elden Ring are boring but hard, the bosses in TotK are interesting but easy. If I had to choose I'd go with Zelda but I want to see a game that has it all.
Dupe glitch got patched btw put your shit in airplane mode
Can I have infinite battery/zonai gadgets on yuze yet
just use the fucking clonning glitch wiich btw got patched today, and is Yuzu iliterate.
You guys are fucking retarded when it comes to Zelda. Fuck all of you.
I liked the lost city of Gorondia and the storm wind ark. The lore around the places was really cool. I think the weakest one was Zora domains since there wasn’t any lore behind it, it’s just a giant tap that none of the Zora seems to care about.
>wind “temple”
>it’s actually a flying boat
?????
everything must be soullessly subtitled now, it must be cookie cutter goyslop.
the bosses aren't allowed to have any engaging titles either. they are just "Scourge of X"
there's only one temple on the game and is the spirit Temple.
What else would you call a place where the Sage of Wind lives and does his thing?
>Is this a boat? Why didn't they call it the Boat Temple? That's gold Jerry!
When I first played OoT I didn't know what a temple was IRL so I just figured it was a dungeon.
Majora's Mask did that decades ago, though?
I've done Water and Fire so far. Fire was definitely better than Water. It reminded me a lot more of a classic dungeon. However I wish it had a little less minecart and a little more something else. They're definitely on the right track with dungeons though. Divine Beasts were interesting as a concept, and fascinating from the outside, but TOTK dungeons as actual dungeons is definitely better.
everything dethrones dogshit like ocarina of time and majoras mask. i have no idea how anyone finds 3d zelda fun
This and the Gerudo dungeon are the only passable ones. Goron dungeon breaks too easily and the Water temple fucking sucks.
I just finished this part, it was definitely the most interesting new part of the game so far. If they had put resources into making 10 or so dungeons, double or triple the size of this, instead of the half baked lego mechanics, it would have been a solid game.
God no, that would just make the dungeons tedious.
games used to have 8 or more dungeons that took 30 minutes to an hour. now it's 4 dungeons, 10-15 minutes a piece. why would making them normal length be bad? also the temples of the game are optional anyway. if you don't want to do 8 full length temples you'll probably be sufficiently strong enough to fight ganondorf long before you'd finish them all.
You have to be the dumbest gay I have ever seen on Ganker, and that says a lot.
Where the fuck do I spend those shrine orbs? No, I have not done the main quest and I refuse to do so. I have eighteen of these things as well as 29 korok seeds.
Bro, the game literally forces you to spend shrine orbs during the tutorial.
The dungeons were pretty weak so no it didn't dethrone anything. Better than BOTW though.
>"""""temple"""""
>one (1) puzzle in the entirety of it which is "turn on the fans"
>like 3 enemies total
>no keys
>boss is so ridiculously easy and nonthreatening each phase can be beaten in a single timespan of slowmotion bow shots
>damage doesnt even matter, just hit each of the 3 weak spot 3 times and you win(18 shots total for both phases)
TotK Wind Temple takes the crown of the worst zelda dungeon of all time and it isnt even close.
>one (1) puzzle in the entirety of it
Actually you don't need 3 arrows. Can be just done with 2 lol
Zora waterworks was more of a dungeon than water temple
wind quadrant was by far the worst in the game
>talk to npc in rito village
>kill a single 1 hp enemy lmao
>bing bing wahoo platform to the sky
>very short dungeon
>retarded bossfight like TP gyorg in the sky, it looks dumb and doesnt even attack you, dont think it can even damage you at all in phase 1
the other three questlines were vastly better. Gerudo obviously the best
Link's awakening Angler Fish:
>hitbox on collision damages you
>falling debris floods stage vertically and requires you to dodge it, damage on collision
>spawned fish swim horizontally and require you to dodge them, damage on collision
>angler fish will stop and charge into the wall with a very short windup, damage on collision
one of the worst bosses in the series, but it still tried to attack you and even if you could just put yourself in front of its weak point and attack repeatedly, at least it CAN deal damage
Tears of the kingdom Colgera:
>no damage on collision, just bounces you
>flies around harmlessly in circles waiting to die
>singular attack pattern in phase 1 is to reappear far below you and fly up into you
>cannot possibly hit you unless you go completely afk because it takes like 15 seconds for a single attack with no tracking
>in phase 2 all it does is summon a few tornados you can effortlessly avoid and probably won't even hit you if you go afk
There are valid criticisms but if you get hung up on them and not the overall experience you are just denying yourself a good time out of spite, which actually sounds a lot like Ganker carry on.
>um, none of your criticisms matter because the game is kino and you're all just being unfair to this poor indie company
TOTK Normies who never played other Zelda Games before BOTW Bored me
Are we pretending King Dodongo was a good boss now?
Colgera was piss easy but let's not pretend this isn't the standard for Zelda bosses.
The only somewhat challenging boss was Queen Gibdo, but even that may be because I did desert first.
Tears of the Kingdom, like a well shot brightbloom seed, illuminate how many fucking retard takes there are on Ganker.
Game of the Decade pops up and people saying the whole game is ass and 6/10 at best.
I wonder how many more of your dumbass posts it’s gonna take before I just post my shitch running tiktok with dog poop on top of it
Thas right. Cry white boy.
Post a webm from your Discord group about how backflipping in the game can break bomb flowers or some bullshit.
Don’t speak to me.
>Add Redeads
>Call them Gibdo
0/10 six years wasted
At this rate maybe in 12 years we’ll get the good one. Music was a pretty big step forward, as meh as it mostly was.
While the blizzard is ongoing, you need two layers of cold resist on mountains in Hebra proper.
I think that's it.
Ok it only just now got cold. I'm halfway through the dungeon, all the way up it was fine. Weird. Wasn't from my items or anything I don't think.
SOUL
?t=331
One of the cool moments in the game. It's too bad I had to endure copy paste shrine x amount of times to remove it.
exactly 20 times if you arent a shitter.
>colgera has six fucking theme variations, seemingly one for each weakpoint destroyed
>every other boss has two
>quickest boss to kill
what was nintendo thinking?
It’s a bit more epic if you do the intended strat of diving through the rings. Honestly if they just closed up the bottom part of the rings until he did the spike launching attack but downwards it would be more fun, but I think if they did that people would not do the intended strat of the diving
Cute couple!
I actually preferred the BotW bird dungeon.
Rest of the TotK dungeons are superior to their BotW counterparts.
is this bait?
>glide to side and activate switch
>stick icicle to a cog, activate switch
>ascend, activate switch
I *hate* nu-zelda dungeons.
How many of you were let down by the shitty Spirit temple?
>oh boy, a 5th temple, it must be amazing right?
>4 rooms of carrying a box over a gap
>the end
>boss fight is ARMS
so disappointing.
Maybe you should play OoT first before saying that.
>Gerudo "lava" Temple
>rollercoaster shrine, ride cart to switch, use switch
>Water Temple
>swim up to sky island, 5 switches in a small space
>Lightning Temple
>shine light with mirrors a few times
>Wind Temple
>the hard part is using platforms to jump up to the ship, the ship itself is small
>Spirit Temple
>carry a box 4 times from 4 rooms
I wanted "temples" on par with Hyrule Castle from BOTW, at least it was the closest thing to a "dungeon". But nope.
correction, Goron "lava" temple
Aonuma needs to explain what exactly is wrong with proper zelda dungeons, keys, big keys, and new items to use in the world.
have you wondered why people have been calling it zelda tiktok?
it was leaked a while ago that nintendo was thinking about making games that go viral through memes.
the game was specifically designed to maximize short funny moments to post in short clips. its why there's no real substance to everything, its just stop and done attractions that you're supposed to post on your favorite social media site.
and never expect it to get better either, this "stop and done now post on social media :)" format is likely going to be the new norm for nintendo.
they've somehow managed to create something worse than fucking gacha.
