the way people fellate Terraria makes me feel like an insane person. shit's nowhere near flawless. it's probably got the shittiest movement of any 2D sidescroller I've ever played >t. 800 hours anyway
My major gripe is melee combat is too risky compared to kiting everything (especially non worm bosses) with ranged. Its funny that the high tier melee weapons have projectile attacks.
My main problem with melee is that you're too fragile, I wonder if there's a way for them to implement armor sets that has defense buffs that only works with close ranged weapons
the highest tier melee items always have ridiculous range at any point of the game, so much so that people have to do "true melee" runs because it doesn't even feel like they're playing melee
I enjoy calamity true melee runs. They give upgrade paths to the shield of Cthulhu that give melee buffs and let it go through enemies giving you I frames if you time it successfully. But it only works if you can damage an enemy so you'll still have to manually dodge projectiles and enemies that have I frame attacks.
Terraria doesn't get enough shit for your character controlling like a boat to the point that you should always have a dash item equipped to have semblance of control.
Agreed.
I hate how pointless mining and building feels barring really early and that brief period after wall.
Most accessories also feel kind of pointless once you start spamming wings and other bullshit.
The game should have had some form of penalty for npcs dying. That way, the invasions would actually encourage proper building and setting up defenses
>frost moon >pumpkin moon >alien invasion >solar eclipse >duke fishron >lategame dungeon >old one's shartmy tier 3 >empress of light
All of these are made worthless in progression by the fact that you can just murder the cultist and die 500 times against the pillars to get endgame weapons. And they felt the need to destroy the earlygame shortcuts instead lmao.
I remember making a mod that gave them a frickton of HP but removed the shield, so in the end it's still an endurance battle but you don't sit there grinding 150 kills to remove the shield. It made the whole event a lot more bearable.
They're fairly boring but I think they make a cool prelude to moon lord
The fact you have to do them every time is tedious but makes moon lord feel special
This is the moment I learnt about the duplicaiton glitch. Fighting the pillars is so fricking painful that I would rather just cheat myself infinite Celestial sigils, even if the rest of the run is 100% legit.
>Every time someone killed the moon lord they would throw a tantrum and patch the game to prevent people from killing him that way
The game died at this point.

I like them but I wish repeat clears in the same world were faster/less grindy, they feel really cool the first time though
>I like them but I wish repeat clears in the same world were faster/less grindy
They are.
Only the molten pillar is ass. The rest are very chill
>post-Moon Lord content
>no real content to be done with said content
What are they THINKING?
it looks like a turd
so do you
At least two of these can get you gibbed in seconds unless you go full Warding with heavy armor

pixel games cant be replaced by AI soon enough
>terraria

I played around 2 hours of terraria and got bored.
I haven't played in years, have they finally added an alternate biome to the Hallow?
No, what kind of homosexual would even want that.

Solar Eclipse is useful for the broken sword, which is needed for Terra Blade.
Duke Fishron's mount is very useful for defeating Moonlord.
The other events may be useful if you're doing a cucked "mage only" or "summoner only" run and need their drops.
