Diversification is necessary for any game company. You can't just put all your eggs in one basket. The problem is how they went about doing it.
The problem with Starrail is that it pretty much caters to more or less the exact same audience as Genshin. Most people aren't gonna devote their time (or money) to so many gacha games so it's only natural that one would cannibalize the other. If they're insistent on gacha, then they should have made a game that was so radically different from Genshin that it's practically impossible for it to be on the same wavelength.

Well first off the head of Hoyo is apparently a guy who's really into shotacon (go figure) and for your fight you want to get your main DPS and healer to at least 134 SPD (boots main stat speed with one to two sub-stats on SPD as well) (yeah it's not just a meme, you literally need that for a lot of the content (which is fricking stupid)) and then get Fire MC or hope to god you roll the Ice Tank character from the snow planet (forget their name)
